Man, Look you look at this think I just had to mute him because that win was too much. But I'll when he tossed, I'll mute. But he is too too. Mister bowl man is on you. Man. It looks like you're in the desert. Man. I am in the desert, in the in the middle of it right now. I'm actually at the you know, my company, we're putting on the Phoenix Waste Management Open uh Wild Golf tournament here, so out here, you know, taking in
the sights, you know, being productive, man, being productive. And uh later tonight, gonna go catch up to some people at a Super Bowl party, take some pictures and send it back. Hey, look like report live. It's too too you're looking live. Phoenix, Arizona. It's like the family guy. It's like the family guy. Man, it's raining cold, He's Wendy. Here's Wendy like chasing storms out there. I love that.
I love what guys do that. Man. Speaking of Phoenix Arizona, there's an alumni, certain someone that we all know near and dear in our hearts, who just was approved to be the new Phoenix Suns owner in a vote. It's twenty nine to zero, which I think there's thirty teams in the NBA, but somehow he didn't have a somebody voting against him, but there was only twenty nine that voted. I don't know what that's about. Not sure what that's about. But nonetheless, on his first day on the
job, Matt Eshba as you just saw there swinging KD. Baby. Man, Listen, I think everybody went to sleep last night, woke up and and you have never seen a trade that happen. At one thirty six in the morning, am. And you see the edits and the graphics of the new Big Three in Phoenix with Kevin Durant, you know, Chris Paul. Honestly, I thought they was going to try to get you know, shop Chris Paul around and they're ready to get that championship now, like it's right
me out, not later. Is they are trying to win a championship and it's gonna be crazy if they do get to the finals and then obviously win a championship with KD coming in and you know, we talk about the sniper man. KD is the smooth criminal brother. So him and d book that's dangerous. That is dangerous. And we already know that Devin Booker gets buckets day in, day out. So Matt making big money moves man. Not
only he's the owner and has spent that big bread. Now he is making money moves and not you know, don't forget you got Phoenix Mercury too, which is a rock star of an organization on the w NBA side. So man, Spartan dogs man, we're doing big things. We got to Spartan Lungs and our owners of NBA teams and three three actually, so Magic Johnson right with uh who we got Dan Gilbert, We got Ma who was the
third the Detroit Pistons. Tom Gorris, well, he's kind of affilly with the team down Road family wise, Like I mean, they got some heavy ties with the family down team down the Road. Who Gorris, doesn't he? No, no, no, no, This is a Spartan all day. Okay, Okay, you know he's got a brother that went to Western He's a he's a he's a Bronco. But Tom Gorris is the guy. He's a he's a Spartan. We gotta get him on the show too, don't. He's been quiet, he's slaying sad in a while. We gotta
get him back, get him involved in things. Choot, you will find he's out. He's out on the west side, you know, or something like that. Yeah, needs to seek shelter. I know, I do feel like that family man here. There's one day out here that's just blowing in my eyes. But I'm doing it all further. This is Spartan family. We love it. We love it, man, We love the dedication
that you have. Tom gorss So anybody didn't know he worked as a janitor in the telemarketer and with the Michigan State in nineteen eighty six, that's when he graduated as a Spartan with a degree in construction management. Thank you Tony Castella for that. Look that's probably because I wasn't born yet, So that's probably why man oh were talking about age. Okay, he wasn't born in
eighty six. Dang, I know, man oh boy, man you rocked the crazy You missed the Bears. You missed that eighty five Bears team. I'm sorry you guys missed a treat there. But in hockey, talking about MS you hockey, they had a sweep against Notre Dame. Man, big, big, big win. Uh, this is the opportunity to really finish the season strong. You know, we got a chance to win straight. You got a chance to finally go to a hockey game all for years being
a Spartan alum. Yeah, see, this is the first time going to that game to see them play. But we started to learn the points system, Like they started to give us that full breakdown. Remember about the system of points, and you know, over time you think of like, okay, the wins win, No, it's really the points that is allowing us to get you know, good bids into the n c A or c c
h A, uh you know tournament. So we have team down the road coming to East Lansing tomorrow, and you know we have to finish strong and shout out to United Dairy of Michigan the ud I AM. They are the title sponsors, so milk means more. So they're gonna be handed out with chocolate milk after the end of the game. And you know, I got two cases in my phrase right now. I'm at to send you some straight or for your boys and drinking chocolate milk. But they love chocolate milk.
Yeah, it's absolutely gras and proteain. Man. You know, I'm trying to get my games up to man and misgiter say hockey will be on what they're gonna be yeah, yeah, on Saturday, February eleventh, eight pm. So if anybody's in Detroit, go catch them there. They're gonna play Michigan Little Love for sure, back to back days month and then Little Season is gonna be a special weekend for Michigan State hockey. Also other sports and
other news. Michigan State gymnastics they they've only beat Michigan knocked off Maryland, Penn State. I mean, this is a this team's on a roll and they're gonna be at Iowa on Saturday. Yeah, man, this is a I've had a pleasure of having some close friends that were some gymnast when we were playing together in Michigan State. And you know, this is a big, huge program win. But also, uh, the programs on the rise nationally spotlight wise. We've got great coaching staff and you know, this is
an opportunity to take the next step. And they're showing out last year. You know, they got into the NCAA terms. You got Gabby right here. I mean, look at this, man like this is something that my daughters, you know, look up to. Man. So good opportunity to uh to see them and see them really si seed and this is the opportunity for our athletic department to shed light into our female sports that they're doing big,
big, big great things for us. Gabby Steven boy, I tell you what, that's a n i L opportunity if I've ever seen one. If anybody's listening out there, definitely uh something that people need to go check out. That's another thing I haven't seen otis we got to go check out at gymnastics meet. Hey, man, you just say the word man, and uh, you know you got they gotta match March I things March fourth and fifth. Okay, back at home, and so we should check it
out. Man, if you're here, but I know you over there in the best West Coast, man, But you know I always be in my second home, East Lansing. Uh if you if you call on me, I'll beat at you. Wrestling for MSU. They also have Senior Night Tomorrow night, which is Friday at home versus Indiana. Yeah. Man, this is a program too that has kind of been under the radar for the longest
of times. And you've seen the big big powerhouses, uh, you know and with the IOWA with Penn State, and you know, we've always been kind of a low low tier. And for this season, you know, not say they came out of the out of the woodworks and start to have some studs, but I think this team has truly shown we have some all
stars wrestlers this year. And so, uh, if you've ever been there, man, Jennison's rocking with with gymnastics with wrestling, and you know, back in the last season, you know, to a couple of seasons ago. Volleyball was obviously playing there too, but they moved over to Bresling to play their matches. But you know, that is a good atmosphere that is really really family friendly, but also a good opportunity to showcase and support them
as well. Yeah, for some reason, I think we lost Ju because I was going to definitely bring him in all his wrestling, because he loves talking about wrestling. He's a w w E professional. But speaking of wrestling, we're gonna take a step back, go to the high school ranks and we're going to talk about j W. Sexton High School District champs after a
thirty one year drought. Our guy, Jeff Howard, we call him Rev. Been in the broadcast with me and George and in the booth for a long time, even when you were doing sideline reporting right over the day. Yeah, man, he's the head coach of j DUB. They bring you home, man, Rev. Man. Look to be honest when you said Jeff Howard, totally forgot about Rev's name. The full name is always who is Jeff Howard? I knew Jeff, I knew his name, but he was like, man, Jeff Howard. We got a new guest Jeffery Rashad
Howard. That's our guy. Man. We also called him the snack man. So if you know a little little backstore, you know, Rev is always in the booth during football season. Used to obviously travel when Stray was living here. With travel and and help out. You can help out. And uh, guy is a work he's a wealthy knowledge, but he's been a community guy through and through and really paving the way and building up our young men in the city of Lancing. So Man, congrats Rev Man.
That is a huge feat to do that for the first time ever in the school history. And uh, you see these kind of the happiness you see in that picture, and we're just hoping we got some guys coming to Michigan State through a pipeline there. But look at that happiness. Man, it's great to see young men enjoy wins Man Oh thirty years Man a long time coming head wrestling coach and golf coach. Yeah yeah, I still haven't seen
red golf though. Man, I've been talking to He got this smooth, he's moved, got that swing man, he got a fade, he got the fade. How to do that? I'm more of a draw guy or a snap hook guy, but whatever you're gonna call it, we like to go out there and have fun on the course, nonetheless. Man. Yeah, speaking of other sports, MSU women's basketball, Susie Merchant gives a statement and she's having some health trouble, but she's talking and she she it was
good to hear from her as she talked to the fans. Yeah. Man, one been praying for for Susie and her health. And you know, with the one car accident, you know, it's one of those things that you know, it's one of you take time to heal and you know, usually you know, I think with society, we always want to jump right back into something when you have kind of a setback, and so I know it took a lot for her to really sit down and rest and get well
so she can come back and coach the girls and lead the team. But the girls, the team and Dean coach Dean has really rallied around her to support her. And then you know, finally getting a big win. I mean that was a huge win where you know, put they put it, they put them on, it came back. Kamario Daniels man, Like I mean, if you saw the highlights. Man, she was money from the three point range last night, and so you know it's trying to find it
was on Big ten plus. But you know I'm not I'm not saying I'm cheap, but I also gonna be playing plus money, you know. So I was listening. I was listening to our boy, Dalton Shelter on a radio play by play, which he did a phenomenal job as he always does. What you know, the team is really pulling it, pulling it through to get the get a dog finally. Yeah, good to hear that. You know that Susie's on the men and the team is doing well without her,
looking forward to her coming back when she's ready. Don't rush whenever you're ready. We're here for you, Susie. Prayers with you, continued prayers going on to the m s U football team. Another transfer comes in. We just got word. It's a punter, Michael Osha Hennessy starter from Ohio State. O say, oh Henderson, don't try to mess with me now, listen. I'm sorry, oh shot, See, I thought you meant best straight. You mean that. Uh, you know it's a big,
big, big shoes to feel. You know, we've we've had bearing Behringer, bearing ger Bearringer. Always get that messed up, but George always corrects me. It's bearing bearing Gerr. You know, we got some huge shoes to feel and you know we use the punter as a weapon, and so coming over to this side, you know, it's always it's always weird to me when you go to an opponent within the conference, when you transfer and then you go right and play right away. It's always weird to me on
that. But this is what the day we live in, the age we live in. But you know, he has a good skill set. I mean in order to be a five star punter, Like I'm pretty sure there's a lot of evaluation goes into that. Fully, you just don't get that, you earn that. And so uh one, great for us, great grab. Let's see if he can really uh fulfill the shoes of our guy that is balling will be drafted this year. We'll see how he does. Yeah, So we have a punter from Ohio State and a long snapper.
Now, so they've got some chemistry coming from Columbus, not only the same conference with the same division, the East Division just coming up the road a few hours to east Lands and so welcome. You know, this is also kind of like it's weird, man, We're in a rock and hard place, Like are they coming here because we know we punt a lot or or or they really see an opportunity, But like it's kind of weird, man, Like you know, we're getting these specialists and you know, I know
we punted a lot last season. I hope we don't have that same case, but you know, we'll see. But it is weird, like we're celebrating them, but we really don't want to celebrate them. We want to score touchdowns, right Doug, So we don't want us to punt too much. And Steve says, you know, let you to coach up the kickers and punters. That'll be something. And you know, thoughts are on that to a fake them, he'll fake punts all day long, trust me on
the on his own ten yard line, right yeah. Absolutely. Also in Michigan State, defensive back graduate assistant Garon Douhart leaves Michigan State. Yeah, this is one of those things where you don't you don't know the reason why. I guess I won't focus on why. But it's one of those where I've seen him do work. I've seen him really really connect with our guys and really changed the narrative of our defensive backs where you know, we had
the no fly zone and we were locked down. We were ranked numbers, you know, you know, always top five ranked in the defensive passing and then you know, you think about from a standpoint of maybe this is you know, that opportunity to get another opportunity to another program, or you know, maybe it was stuff where he wasn't able to do what he was supposed
to do. In this standpoint, I really haven't. I don't see gas leaving the middle of their their their term, you know, I mean, you get a masters right, like, you don't really leave between them. Maybe he got it and he was like, look, I'm gonna go somewhere
and get a full time job. But one when you read that letter, you say, you hear nothing but respect, and you hear nothing but love for the guys, and that we're in a good spot where our coaches are leading our team and you know we're gonna miss you obviously, coach, and uh, obviously we're paying for the next step where you're at and obviously stay connected. Always is spartan to off for life man without question. He talked to the recruits, the players who you know come on campus, the defensive
back guys. When they at you ask them, you know, who is it on the staff that you talk to the most and who you like? They always bring up new Heart's name. You know, it's a guy who they He doesn't go on the road to recruit, but he does do a lot of calling, texting and when they come to campus. You know, he's younger, so he can relate to him and obviously his technique, whatever he's allowed to do within the rules, he does a great job of it.
And the players really respect him. So best the luck to him. I'm sure he's going to be successful wherever he goes. And you know they're always looking for good defensive back coaches all over the country. So hats off to him and continue success. You know, you know I'm available, Yeah, you know your little coach. Now, look, I'll give my I'll give my, my, my, my guest knowledge, all my knowledge come from coach Barnett. So we straight you know, you know he's there.
Still, he's there, so they don't need me. So yeah, awesome. Everybody, don't forget to click the like buttons and the subscribe buttons. Please do that. It doesn't cost you a thing, but it helps us out a whole lot. Please click the subscribe button on YouTube, get in

If anybody is watching out on the west side of the state, make sure you go to I Hob February eighteenth. Get you a plate, Get a plate and an autograd and a picture from a great one. I'll tell you that. You know, we've had players on the show. We've talked about nil deals, We've
had all kinds of involvement. We even had a guy who had Michigan State as his top three as a twenty four recruit. We now are going to talk to a twenty four commitment, twenty and twenty four commitment right now. He's he's finishing up a basketball game in Toledo. But his mother, Mama Tron, we're talking about Nick Megatron Marsh and his mother, Mama Tron, joins the show. Right now. We're going to talk to Mama Tron and
hey, hey, hey, hey, what's going on? Mother? Nothing much, doing good always always, you know, we see those tweets, you know, like you know, we got Mama Hall doing her thing. Yeah, you know, talk about your the involvement in like with with with Michigan State and the recruiting process for Nick, as that journey has started with you and you've already made your decision. Talk about how that started and uh
where you are now. So in the beginning, Nick was like, you know, I'm already feeling a certain type of way, like it's so much love when I go there. The coaches, the staff, the fans, like everybody really made him feel at home. So when he did decide to commit, I wasn't there, but he literally, they said he stepped out the room and he called me. He was like, I got that feeling again, and he was like, this is it and I know my son. So I wasn't percent agree with them and a lone this entire journey.
When I say, it's always just that when we go there is just nothing but love and the coaches you don't even want to say coaches and staff is family, like literally family, and that's something that we hadn't got anywhere else. So I'm pretty sure that's what made Nick make it his decision, and overall that's what persuaded me. So I'm go green man. That's that is one. Every time we bring a mother on, he gives us flashbacks for
like our moms and you know, we didn't have the this. I guess our moms had this access, but it wasn't as much where it was so inviting involved. They knew like mama does know best and she's going to decision, make it right. But you know, I think talk about just the relationship with your son and growing up when he started playing ball. You know, we talk about mothers allowing their sons to play a physical sport and just
talk about when he started and kind of how he grew. You see him grow into what he is now, is a stud on the football field. Just talk about from start to now. Okay, Nick is probably super athletic because his mama was athletic. I was a basketball player and I played ball the entire nine months pregnant with him and his sisters. He has three sisters and he's the second oldest, and so it's probably already in his DNA.
But I started noticing maybe about five or six, like just playing football in the park, like this boy could throw, he could catch, and he was huge for his age. Like even at six years old. They was like, oh, is he eight. I'm like, no, he's just six. So I knew then that he was gonna be something and Nick has a what oh he was a Wolverine little little popword. Yeah, yes, yes, yes, that was the that was So that was the first team
that he was actually on in the little League. One of the coaches seen him and he was like, that's a pretty big kid, like can he do this? Can he do that? And he was six and when they got him to the field, it was just instant like he could get his hands were so big and sick, so he could catch, he could throw, he could do all of that. And just watching him over time not only have that natural talent, but just become a beast, like I've been
like super proud. I'm his biggest fan, I'm his biggest cheerleader. Like just seeing him go through this entire process has been a blessing. And on top of that, he's a great kid. Yeah, nothing but good things about him. What position did you play in basketball? Small ford? Oh, okay, where'd you play? So? I played for Osbourne, But by the time I got ready to graduate, I was having his oldest sisters.
So I sat down for a while and then I was like, I can't give it up, Like I love ball, So I stopped playing maybe about two summers ago because Nick would drag me out still, so we would like go to the courts and and run games or to the gym, and that that alone created our buy because me and Nick will we'll go to any court and we'll play and they'll be like, oh, you brought your sister. He's like, no, it's my mom balling just just like you just
started. Is that what you stopped talked about two I stopped about two years ago. And then it's the competitiveness with me and Nick, Like he'll be like, you know what, They're gonna say, you washed up. They're gonna say you done out here preparing for the trash talk. So I'm like, all right, I'm like get a ball, like, let's go, let's get out here, and I'll run a couple of games with him. But yeah, he's he's trying to coax me lately. But you know now,
I'm all my inkle is messed up. So I'm making excuses right now,
excuses. We had. We had a guest, doctor Baker. So doctor Baker is ahead of our d and I for Michigan State Athletics, and when she was coming up in the ranks, she did a dissertation about you know, basically mothers and recruiting and how you can educate them and you know sometimes they get left out, but they are the ones, right and so can you can you kind of take the take us behind the curtain on the recruiting trail and kind of the education of what were you and Nick going to
these programs to not just us, but anywhere in the country of what were y'all asking, what we're all requiring? What were all truly looking for in a place where he's going to be able to spend his future. Okay, that's a good one. So I was totally new to the entire experience, even with recruiting, because I'm like, why are these people calling my phone? Like they email with me, they're looking for me. I'm like,
I don't know what's going on. So I had no idea. I think up until last year, I got familiar with some of the football moves. So in the recruiting process, it was more of the camps at first. So he was doing camps and I even drove I drove him down to Alabama for that camp. So it was just like getting familiar with the camps and what they were requiring. But my number one thing for Nick was education.
First. It's like me and him talk about that number one because from here and beyond, you still have to have your education, and he wants to be an engineer or anything dealing with computer science. So education was number one. And then a little bit about distance, but because I don't want to be too far from my baby. But at the same time, like wherever
he felt comfortable and mostly about their standards. And what we found with Michigan State was the brotherhood Spartan dogs, like the alumni is super super supportive, and that's where I wanted him to be somewhere where you know, he can have that framework not only as a good player, but as a good person and build more character as a man. So that's that's the majority of what we were looking for. You hear what she said, Spartan. You heard
what she said. It was the brotherhood. It was the Spartan way. And that's why I chose Mississan State through and through and I got strong ties with that team down the road, got family who played basketball there and football there, and you know, I decided to change the narrative for myself. But more so like at Flintstone Connection, I couldn't. I couldn't disrespect the
Flintstone connection and not go to Michigan. But but yeah, that's a good, good answer, and MISSU is the best for engineers, which is a great choice. I got a roommate from college who is an engineer and great program. I know it requires a lot, but I know he's up for the task. But that's good that he knows what he wants to do already, which is great. And I got I got a fact for you. So since Nick played and the League with the Wolverines, that was his dream,
like that was the school down the road. He was like, that's what I'm gonna do. And then to get this far and have that experience there and it's just like, Nope, that's not it. So yeah, I was gonna ask, can you expand it? I mean, as comfortable you are to expand what you mean? Yeah, expand expand on the difference between them and then us. So I can I can give my view on it. I can't really speak for Nick. I would have to let him an answer that in his way for it, But for me it was it
wasn't as inviting as in uh family type of feeling. I didn't get that feeling. It wasn't like, you know, it wasn't close knit. It was more like, okay, that's Nick Marsh, we want him to play for us, you know. So it was never a connection on a personal level. It was more like a meet and greet. And that's with more than one visit. You know, you can you can go up to Michigan State and everybody knows what's on a first name basis. They know Nick's sisters,
they know the history, they know everything up until you know. Now, if you go to the school down the road, you know, they can say he's Nick Marsh before a star receiver. That's it. So Michigan State went a little deeper. Yeah, more close knit, more some more authentic relationship. And that's exactly it it was. It was more authentic, more of who is Nick Marsh instead of that's just Nick Marsh. You know.
Yeah. I saw him on the sideline so I was coming. I totally forgot which game it was, and I remember leading up to him. I was like, ah, I said, you decided to come here yet he was like I'm close. I'm close. I was like, oh, that's a good answer. Is I want to be like yeah, I'm coming up. You know, it's good. But as a young man, he's
like, I'm close. I'm still thinking about I'm close though, I'm close, and those relationships matter, you know, each one of the coaches, the staff, those relationships and building is ultimately what made him have that decision to commit. He felt comfortable, wow, because you talk about it.
He committed early in the recruiting cycle because he's a class of twenty twenty four and you see a lot of players now, a lot of a lot of high school athletes, they want to wait maybe until that summer, like the summer that you're getting ready to come into to go on all the official visits. Did you think about that? Did you say, like I might want to go on a couple of visits. Is that something that you may still
be looking into. So again, like Nick and me, I support whatever he does, but I'm also that that voice in his earl like, hey son, you know, think about this, this this, But I trust his judgment because at the same time, Nick literally made this decision on his own. I wasn't there, his father wasn't there. So this is something he came to on his own. And that's one of the most authentic parts about it. And you know, as far as him not taking any other
visits or wanting to, who wouldn't want to have those experiences. He knows where he wants to be in his heart, and as his mother, I want to make sure I'm guiding him in the right direction. As far as yes, this is decision that you want to make. If you do want to do those visits, do those visits. You know where you're committed to, you know what you want to do. But they still have to have those experiences. Yeah, yeah, I don't see why not. You know
what I mean? You know, I can't wait. So Nick right now, just so everybody knows, he's playing a basketball game in Toledo. Who's he playing against? Yes, Toledo, don't give me, don't give me fibbs. I don't know. Yeah, so he loves basketball. I'm sure he's two sported ass. So that is that is amazing to me because this is a kid like Nick. Since he's my only boy, I wanted at least somebody to pick up my sports because the girls were like no way.
And so when Nick I had him in football, but it was a point where he stopped playing football and it was like break or whatever. And so I got him into basketball. Nick would not go play. He would fake like he was sick if I wasn't home and not go to practice he had the flu. Then he really got the flu because I would take him to the court with me and I would, you know, let him watch me play, and then I would insert him like you know, son, like
you got to learn this. He's like, no, that's your thing. And then turn around he finally got it. And then two three years later, I'm like, what is it? Did I create this? Like this dude? Just he was in a game the other day twenty nine points and shot eight threes back to back. I was like, I said, so you still don't like basketball. He's like, yeah, I'm better than you. And so we really had a we had a debate. I said, you know what, I said, that's that's my shot you got now that
I'm retired, you know, I gave you the handles. He got it from his mama for sure, but he diss in me. Now literally, what was it? Junior day we went up to Michigan State and we had a whole debate, like all day, like we were trash talking each other and He's just like, yeah, you know, you don't want to do this. That's the Oh we can go live on Twitter, like take it out through there. So when I held up y'all, y'all got a live game coming because I got to protect We're gonna be there, play by playing
commentating for sure. Yeah out there. Yeah, look, I got a question. So when look, we all know the nickname Mega Tron. We already know Calvin Johnson and what he did for the Lions. Do you know which play that he'd had where people were like, oh, he playing like Calvin Johnson Megatron. When did the nickname come about? And what play was like, that's that's that's Calvin johnsh Megatron right there. So I think it might have made, if I'm not mistaken, the one uh the one play
it made. I think it made the Free Press. Charlie Squizzle is their school's photographer and he literally that's who caught the picture. And I think it might have been with one hand either behind or front. I know it was wild, but Charlie Squizzle showed out to Charlie Squizzle, he is the one who coined the phrase and the hashtag marsh and when he shot that picture and then went to the Free Press. That's who even gave me the rights to
that picture. And that's how Marsh was created. So from that picture and that catch, I was just up one night and I'm like, man, like, Nick looked like he's he's making an H, like his body was making an H. And that's exactly what I did. So I took that picture and I literally turned that into Marsh. Mmm. Wow, So that's is that a brand? And that's him in his own photo? Like that's him? Oh? Man. See, that's what I love about this era.
Now you can brand yourself at an early age, and you know, you don't have to wait till you you know, Michael Jordan's and already going to the pros, right, you could be in high school brand yourself and then get recognized by these companies. About that is I always create things for all my friends or make designs for everybody else. And I made that design and I found out that not even a week after I created it, that's when they had just said, like, you know, nil and all of
that. So that was just right on time where I created the brand. I had no idea. That's incredible. You're clairvoyant as we call that blessed. Yeah, Like you know, we think about like what what you know, mothers and parents go through in this recruiting process. You know, I know that you talk about the coaching staff as more family, but there's also the players families. Like right now you have Kean Coleman's mother Ravens on this chat. I don't know if you know her, but yeah, receiver,
Yeah, I have the same position. Yeah. Did y'all see that play? Right? Yeah? So I mean that's something I think she said something in the chat a second ago. I don't know if you guys put it back up there, but she said, hey, you know, you guys can share notes about this whole recruiting process as somebody another four star athlete too, sport athlete absolutely same position. That's Nick. Nick reminds me of so
bad. Like see, yes, like this Mama Hall is just amazing, Like her spirit o MG, and her support level, like it's so inspiring and it's it's like where do you see that at? Like she bring a whole, a whole new thing to this And that's what kind of inspired me to even the act of more because they need that absolutely, and you got to know that what you're doing does attract more players and parents to come, you know, to be a part of this. That's what we're doing it
for. We love this platform, for you, for Nick, and for any players that are going to that's our production crew backstage. Listen, it's gonna shout out to the defensive back who's now going to be telling that story for the rest of his life. On him, On him too, I don't know, but he did it twice in that game. I believe man, my man is gonna be like man, look, I got boss twice.
Marsh. You know, we have a clip that we want to share with obviously our followers, but you know, we talking about Mama Hall. I feel like you got you coming with the same vibes that Mama Hall gives in the relationship from mother to son. We have a clip of Jordan's that was posted today about you know him leading right. We talk about young leaders, young man like you don't have to wait to lead hang and it shows right here with Jordan's really talking to the group. They're in a workout right
now. Check this out with excuses. It's a quote I want you to and I got to memorize. I just want your to know is excuses are tools. Are the incompetent used to build monuments and nothingness. Those who specialize in this former disterceptions suddenly announts to anything at all. So basically some of that up. That just means man, every excuse it comes from nothing. It means nothing. So each day that you come here, everybody got everybody
got something that they got to deal without the overcompany. You gotta ignormally you come in here and get ready to work. I feel me family on one one family. That's the leader. See like shout out, that's the leader right there. Like I got tials like you think about like we're in a good spot man, like bad you up? These two classes twenty three and twenty four, is finna hit so different? Talk about the brotherhood all of
that, Like it's gonna hit so different, much different. Speaking of different, we got a different player joining us. Now, your son, Nicky like trying Marsh joins the show. What's up? You go somewhere quiet? Yeah, you gonna have to go somewhere a little bit. You have to go somewhere a little bit quiet you. Yeah, we can hear you. Who won the game was a score? Yeah? We got breaking telling bring the phone up. I got I got my head, my head barely.
All right, I'm talking. I'm talking to you. Yeah. Well we end up winning the game. I think seventy three to sixty four. Okay, I like how you said, I think like that? Is this is this today? Oh? No? This this was last game? This last game? Okay? Is this came? Woh? Smike, boy, look look shoot leth right there. Oh yeah, yeah, so your mother told us that, you know, she's the reason that you got that shot. Yeah, I can say that. Yeah, a little bit, a little
bit. Yeah, you're outside a little bit there. We Hey, he's on location. You're getting him coming right out of a gym right here. This is this is the prime time, man, I mean basketball. Yeah, it's live. So we how many offerses you have coming out of you know, out of out of the river roofs scholarship offers? Da? Can you hear? I think he's walking all the way to the back of the US. Yeah. I am walking all the way to the back. All right, all right, I'm in the back. Then we're on a bus
ride. I said, I how many offices you have the scholarship offers? Thirty four thirty? What was that process like you know, to s through, you know, it was. It was a pretty see process for me, you know, coming in ninth grade year, you know, are coming in Yeah, coming in ninth grade year, already had like three offers and you know, it was a blessing you know to start my recruiting process.
And then you know, just to start a freshman year. You know, I had seniors able to you know, do the job on the field to get me in the game, you know, get filmed early. So that's a that's a blessing right there, and that's how my recruitming really started. I was able to get offers and going to camps like summer spring, and you know, just getting all those camps up, you know the mega camps, Fair Estate, you know, just put my name out there. Yeah
what what which camp that really kind of sets you apart? Can you think about which one that was really like one put you on the map? Put you on the map, because I know for me, you know it was for that school down the road. It really you know, I started balling out and you had a bunch of bunch of schools that were coaches that were there, and they started coming like wildfire. But what was that camp for you that you truly say you bought out in that started flowing. I would
say that the Fair State Camp. Fair State Camp. Hit up the Fair State Camp and the last thing I know, I got like plus fifteen offers. You know, I hit up like another camp, Northwestern Camp. You know, a few more offers rolled in the office, like really rolling in like during school time. You know, I got called down to the office almost you know every day you know such just such it's here to see you or you know such such in the building. And you know that's that's how
most of most of my offers came. Or you know it's a real phone call. But mainly, you know, just going to that Fair State camp. Really, you know, put me on the map and talk talk to us about when when the Green and White spartan dogs, like talk to us A to Z what happened like who there first in the school? Then when you give us that full full story. So so, Michigan State they offered
me, uh after after the States that meship game one. I had some great film during that game, and you know they offered me them Michigan and a couple of other schools they had offered and you know, I made that trip up to Michigan State, and you know, I was like it just felt familiar. And I had a few camps up there, you know, just dominating, and you know I grew up liking to the school. So
that's how that really started with Michigan State. You know, I started to build a relationship with coach Tuck and then you know, I started to build that relationship with coach Hawk. You know, that became really good. So who which coach so you talk? Who do you talk to the most? I talked to coach Tucker the most. Coach Hawkins. Hawkins, Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's another form of spotted dog man. I mean it's still a spartan dog once one always won, played in the NFL, and
he's producing some good receivers. Yeah yeah, yeah definitely. So you so you talk to them and they offered you who is it? Are you talking to any current players? You have a relationship with any guys on the team right now? Trey Mosley, you know, I've been in contact with Trey, Tonio Gates, some of my guys there. Uh, you know just this, you know, former students or students that's there. Now I'm in contact with them, you know, just getting more familiar with the area.
I've been talking to you know, the recruiter a lot of leak. You know, you grew up from where I'm from, so you know that's my guy. We kind of chopping up here. And now he said, he said, Malik, Yeah, okay, yeah, man, tell us about coach Hawk. Man, Like, we already know, we already know who you're doing. What are you doing? Yeah, we already know his DNA and who he is. But tell us, tell us, let's relationship with Coach Talk is just you know, it's phenomenal. You know, it's it's
all love and stuff like that. But Coach Talk is the coach. I think that would be to take me to the next level. I think he can put a lot of focus into me and uh you know, you know, just keep you know, putting in, putting in and me buying in. So I think he'd be the coach to take me to the next level. And so far, you know, he's been trying to give me to do other things like working on speed for work, you know that right there, to show how how much love it is and the relationship we have.
Yeah, what what do he uh you know, we talked about we asked, we asked our current players, like we asked Trey Moseley. We had him on, We had Kean on and you know, we asked him, what what do you need to work on? Uh in the off season and you know you got one a year, but what do you need to work on? What has Coach Hawk told you that you need to work on and for yourself to get on campus and and ball out, just you know, getting out of routes, you know, uh, my breakdown running routes and
just getting faster. You know, I got the side to let the hands, you know, I got the speed, but you know it's always better to get faster, you know, just just finishing up top. Yeah, she had we see you're breaking some tackles now, love you know you know you're not afraid of content, right, yeah, definite content. Now what's up? I'm gonna test you on this, man? What is Coach hawks Number one number one rule as a receiver? Don't wait on number one?
Okay, my time? Number one number one? What must you do? What must you do to get the rock? Oh? You got a block? Yeah? Oh yeah, oh yeah, I definitely blocked. Man put boys on their back that Oh you don't mind putting your hands off up? Oh no, I love I'm a christive receiver. I like getting physical walk of mine. You want to touch me? Hey, what's up? That's what I'm talking about? Man, Hey, Nick, So I wanted to
ask you because you know, there was an article that came out. I know you wanted to talk about this some on three articles that something I I'm you know, I don't know if we have that article just so we can address it. And it said you're planning to visit other schools. And I guess some people took it the wrong way this and that because they like thought that meant you weren't committed or whatever. So Mama t was goin to turn into Mama far My. Meaning that is, you know, I'm still pretty
young. You know, I got another year left, and you know, I just want to go have fun, you know, just being in recruit you know, four star recruit at that, you know, some blessings, so you know, just take the opportunity that you can to like really explore the world. You know. That was one of my main main points about that that quote right there, and I just want to explore, you know, I'm still in the Michigan you know, before I settled down for It's
just a lot more that I want to go see. Yeah. See, there's nothing wrong with that, going taking some trips, you know, see what you can see, eat the food, you know. Yeah, in sights, experience and the culture. But Nick did so well with that. He was calling me like, yeah, no Twitter today because I was getting caught up in Twitter all night. To me one o'clock in the morning, did you see what they said on Twitter. I'm knocked out. I'm trying
to school. But sure, I like that. Yeah. So so your mom, your mom told us when you before you jumped on a you know, you want to be an engineer or you want to do something with computer science. So talk about what to talk about when you fell in love with that and why you want to do that. During school, like we work on like making robots and stuff, you know, programming, doing a lot
of computer science. And I was I had a really good connection with my teacher and we talked about it a lot, and I told him this would be one of the things I would want to do in college and pursue, you know, after high school. The engineering. You know, they'll make a lot of money, and you know, I would like to build something. You know, I grew up watching movies where you know, they always building treahouses and you know, just just doing stuff. You know, I
would like to build something, probably a house. You know. It's just just the skill work is pretty handy, and you know, that's that's why I want to be an engineering. For the most part, I think computer science. I think I'm not really too short, but I think they both. Well, I'm gonna link you up with Ross Weaver, who is an engineer right now. I'm a former dog was my roommate. I never I never saw him in the apartment. He was always in the engineering school.
So no, that's great ambition, man, to get out there and be an engineer, community science. You want to build something, so I mean that speaks to the education you've gotten so far and exposure that your mother has has put you on, which is great man, in my opinion. You know, you know, how many more games do you have having basketball this season? I think I believe we have three more before the playoffs. Okay, yeah, you guys got a shout. Yeah, I think we're going
all the way. I think so much adversity this whole year. You know, it's like our third coach in three years, so you know, we had a new coach every year, but you know, got the same guys. Chemistry is pretty good. You know, we fought through adversity. So you know, I think this team can take it all the way. You gotta let us know, you gotta let us know the game. So I'm gonna come. I'm gonna come check it. I'm living hear me and you in here, and it's straight come in like, let us know when when
when the next game. Man, We're gonna come check you out to support you. I'm gonna make sure I send down my schedule on Twitter. Yes, we'd like to see a lot of green and white. There's there's socials everyone Nick marsh un the score eleven. I love the uniformity in that. Yeah, listen, man, always about that other otis is out there, man, like I ain't somebody else got twenty one. Somebody got O t Wyley. It was O t Wyley. Wow, you know that's with you?
No, Yeah, definitely follow Nick. Everybody smart, show him a lot of love. Follow. I'm gonna trying. I don't know if we have her socials. Yeah, I'm trying. What's your social We'll type it up here. So I'm so not good with Snapchat or nothing like that. No, no, no, just Twitter, inst Instagram. So our Instagram is Marshed Apparel under Sports Underscore twenty one. Is it for Mark? Because I have Marke in there. I'm gonna trying on Twitter. I'm gonna try
it on twel Okay, well we'll post it. We'll post it out on our social. We got I'm gonna straight horn the back. We'll make sure she get it right for us too. There we go trying, Yeah, here we go. No man, hey love, hey man, congratulates on the win. You know, it's great talking with you. I'm trying for sure. Just wanted to give you guys an introduction to the Spartan nation. And look, we're gonna continue to recruit your glove on you. I don't
care where you go, go see the world. They come on back home this time. You know you're gonna be right there. Yeah, yeah, you're gonna be an early enrollly are you gonna come in? Oh yeah yeah. I actually just got switch so I can graduated early. So yeah for today. Oh yeah, that's great. You gotta take advantage of it. I love it. I love it. Well, love man. We appreciate
y'all. Thank you so much because I know it's Thursday night. We had a game and mama trying is on there, so I appreciate y'all taking time this dedication. He's on the bus, everybody on the bus coming out of the game. Mama trying to be thirty five in a couple of hours. Oh, a couple of hours. A couple of hours, aquarious season. All right, well, happy birthday. Everybody got to get her happy birthday, right, alright, appreciate you. Oh man, hey, great family.
My goodness, that's a great kid. And it's mother's an athlete. How about that. Yeah, that's how that's how it starts. You know, you know, at least she doesn't give her so credit, but she got some of the talent for your boys and your girls. So oh yeah, yeah, man, you know, doesn't happened by accident, guys, definitely. You know, it's crazy straight man, Like we haven't had a
bad apple Man yet, which is clearly clearly showing the vetting process. Like I always say this, the vetting process of getting the quality guys and going after character guys. You know this is gonna be a great opportunity man to bring him on add to this other class that we got just right now. So uh that man, look that basketball You got a smooth stroke, didn't he like coming off? Just yeah? Six four? Yeah? Man, look he just the one on the sleeve. Yeah yeah, down the court.
Man, look like a man amongst boys are here. Just easy oh man, Yeah, this is gonna be a This is gonna be a good add And I coach talked, Man, that was from deep Yeah, Coach Hawkin's got man. Look honestly, man like, that's our strongest suit is the receiving corps. Man. So all we gotta do is get the connection right, and you know it's gonna be a It's gonna be lights out, lights out, man. We're doing a phenomenal job receiving and linebackers. But
receivers, I mean, man, they are stacked athletically. It ain't easy to get a scholarship offer as a receiver in Michigan State. I can tell you that much. Man. Selective, and you gotta be selective. They're looking for Chu Chuo right now. You don't know where he's at. He's on the golf course in the desert. Great next thing, you know, he disappeared somebody, Hey man, mister bum man. Look he loves ch Chuo. Man, look at him. Man, look somebody find you to
tell chu to find himself. We know he Yeah, he needs to be found, that's for sure. Look at him. He's on choot Choo Island. Kickers not welcome. Don't forget that, man. So yeah, man, that was the jam packed show. Guys. You know, any final thoughts, I mean, we had a lot we covered heroes. Man.
I think it's one it's showing. I love that we highlighted everything around athletics and our teams because you know, it's not just obviously football or basketball, but we have some outstanding teams that are really winning and winning not only in the competitive space, but off the field too, and so you know we're going to continuously highlight them just as much as we highlight our football and our
basketball. But you know, one, it's good to obviously see our future spartans and the mother's son connection is very strong in our in our space. Man. So that's just the top highlight of showcasing that we are for real. But what we talk about we just don't you know, walk it we talk it man, So good kudos to you straight man of obviously putting this together of tonight's show along with our other folks man and behind the scenes.
