Unless you have HubSpots AI-powered marketing tools to help you do all that more. Get started at HubSpot.com slash marketers! Hello and welcome to THIS CAR POD! I'm Kenan. I'm Filippo. And there's a lot to talk about today. Let's get right into it starting with the news.
It's a record. Jaguar announced a couple of months ago that they're taking some time off of building cars like someone who graduates from a strenuous college would maybe take a year off to be a ski instructor in Vale. But Jaguar Classic, which is apparently something, has built two e-types for a very wealthy customer in Southeast Asia. And they're the first new e-types that they've built since the start of the year.
Here's an interesting thing that I think. This wealthy person in Southeast Asia, the e-type is the most frequently restored, easiest to find car. That's a thing. What did they charge this, dude? They probably charged in the years worth of revenue that they're missing from not building cars.
They really moved, actually. They should just build one-offs for rich Hong Kong people. What's fascinating is a couple of years ago, five years ago, ten years ago, I don't know. They did some restoration where they took Jaguar themselves fully restored and called it a new version of it. This was ground up, ground up, the actual thing. Apparently it took 2,000 hours of work, which let's do some math. I mean, they're charged. Some of this stuff is probably they had to create from the...
If it really was ground up, nobody's making wire wheels on it. How do they even get, etc., etc., like you can get through all that. What's interesting is, $500 an hour. I don't know what Jaguar would charge for their consulting fee. What's that? A million? A million? Yeah. Oh, they charge a lot more than that. They charge a lot more than that. That's a more lucrative than selling F-paces.
This leads to the obvious question. This leads to the obvious question, which is, would they build me an XJ220? But with the actual desired engine? Well, maybe with a V12, maybe with a Cesar Doors, or maybe just an XJ220, priced correctly, which is at the like $140,000 mark. I'll bet you the answer's no. But it is interesting. I have two thoughts on this.
One is, it clearly has to show off what clear classic division can do. The fact that they can build from the ground up, two new examples is pretty well. Portages are similar to the 993 a couple years ago. I asked them, Martin did a thing too with the DB5. But the other thing to me is, here's a chance to own a real life. Let me try. We imagine you...
One would think I'm very well could be wrong. But one would think with modern technology, putting these cars together, better built than maybe they were doing when this car was made. Well, it says they're electronic fuel injection. And they have a blue tooth. Now, I noticed the right hand drive, which probably is Hong Kong. So, maybe you'll see it. If you live in Hong Kong, maybe you'll see them driving around.
Now, Porsche keeps making career GT updates. Like, if you can send them your career GT and they'll update it. Really? How much? They are heinous. Every single one they've made has been the most heinous thing you could possibly imagine. Like green with green wheels and green seats and green shift lever and a yellow steering wheel. You have a duty to our listeners to call Porsche and say, hey, I have a curgity because you do. What would you charge?
They'd be like, well, if you want it green with green seats, we still got some of that line around. If you want heinous with heinous, heinous with heinous with car. Because back in the curgity was new, they wasn't a lot of personalization stuff. And so, not a lot of people did it. And now that personalization has become the big thing with Porsche, all these rich guys are like, I want to make my own green with green seats.
And they're too rich to stop themselves. They're too taste. The taste does not factor in. And Porsche announces every year. So we did another one. And it's like, oh, that's even worse than last year. They're all terrible. Okay. What's our next story? Oh my god. Wow. Okay. All right. There are a lot of cars that are dead for 2025. Dead for 25. I would like to go through a list. All right. Go through the list. Do you want to guess any? Yeah. I've already read the list. And it's an amazing list.
It's every Mazoradi. Have you noticed that? I haven't looked at the list in the days. Car and driver publishes a list every year of the cars that are dead. And we've pulled it up because it's very interesting. All right. What do you got? What do you got? We do want to guess any. It is literally every Mazoradi. Except for the Grecolle and the Gran Turismo and the MC20. But like the Quattroporte is gone, the Lavante is gone, the Ghibli is gone. Which was like, they're bread and butter cars.
How's the Lavante gone? Right. It's the only Mazoradi I see around. Yeah. It was the answer is it was on sale for a while. And they can't afford to redesign it. So it's just gone. What else what else is on this? The Audi A5 S5 RS5. The two doors. The two doors. The two doors. Yeah. Because there are the new sport back. Yeah. The replacement for the A4. Right. Right. They're still going to go with those. And bad news for Ken and the shoe-roan no longer for sale.
Yes. Going to be replaced soon by the tour. The own. Yes. And he's 16 is supposed to W. They do their customers. Bad news for people that Justin listed in the Army. The Camaro. There's no longer available starting in 2025. Not wrong. Camaro's gone, but they're going to redesign it and come out with another one soon. And hopefully it'll be an electric SUV. I'm trying to think about what they will actually build. So they're going to do another one. Well, they? Yeah. They'll do another one.
The Mustang's still going strong. They'll do another Camaro. There are two Ferrari models that are gone. Yes. And now super seated. It would be the 812 and I'm going to the F8. The F8 Spider, yeah, the very least yes. And I will give you one more. You want to. You know what's going on? This is interesting. What else you got? The Mirage. The Mirage is gone. Finally. It's just 15 years. Yes. Very sadly the Mini Clubman. The Mini Clubman is gone? Dead. Man, when is that brand just done?
I haven't seen any new Mini EVs around, have you? They're going to cut their way to growth. Let's try. If you remove products that nobody bought, fundamentally. But the problem is nobody buys any of their products. And so all these dealerships, remember the Let's Motor? They had all those cool ads. They had a great little game on their website. That was like a little girl car thing. Yeah. When is the Clubman coming to the, not sorry, when is the Countryman coming to the US?
Is it not already here? The new one, I don't think so. The new one, yeah. I don't know. It's not a beautiful vehicle. It's not beautiful. I saw him in Europe this summer. They're okay. I always love the Countryman because people hate it. Because it's like Mini, but it's big, right? It's real big. But it's like a crossover is inherently boring. And that one isn't. And so if you're going to get a crossover, that's like fun to drive. Was it? Do you think the new one is? It's got bigger and uglier.
Well, they've ever seen a, every scene I've ever seen. Every scene I've ever seen. Every new car. New Countryman looks like. No. You ever seen a Hyundai Tucson? Yeah, it's beautiful. It has the like the grill things and the, the, the things. Real things. That is both insane and accurate. Oh, there were some for sale. There were some for sale. That doesn't look so bad. No, there's not that. The rear is not great though, I think, if I recall. Yeah, look to the left there.
Yeah, it's not, it's not as good as it was, but it's still like, what are you going to get? A Mazda CX 30? I kind of get like tell your right. A Kia cell toes. A Kia cell toes. You're going to get a Kia cell toes. I would. You would. You drive around the. The Nissan Titan is gone. The Titan is finally gone. It came out in 05, 20 years. Nissan tried to participate. To gen. And for 20 years, the market said no. And for 20 years, they tried another finally done.
I will give you one, I'll give you two last ones because they're once I care a lot about them. The GTR. The GTR is dead. The Huracan. Yep. F type. All jacks. All jacks. All jacks. All jacks. So the type. So the type of parent. So the type of parent. So the type of parent. So the type of parent. So Toyota is dead. Do you want to get started? That's correct. Well done. Yeah, the vendor is dead. That lasted for God. Canon is. Let us shame. Care about us and our things. We care. We care a lot.
Because it isn't really dead. It just been renamed. The Kia Forte. The Forte is now called the K4. And I've seen them around. Yeah, same. There are also not beautiful vehicles. Canon, you don't care about these cars are dead. Canon, dead never returned the vendor. They did one. It was bad. People bought it, but it was bad. They canceled it. They came out with it again. It was bad. But people didn't buy it. And they canceled it. Oh, Canon. You know, in nature. So. Good to be a survivor.
I hope you can. Die. And you know, now of course, like the cars that I care about are just super seating. They just replaced all their successes. I know this list of cars that are dead is always I'm always kept. The hurricane isn't dead. It's a place by the. It's a marion. To marion. To marion. But Jaguar. Dead. We can all agree. Jaguar is dead. Infinity basically that the Q50s on this list. Oh, yeah, that's right. The Q50s gone. But the Cameras a little sad. Let me ask you a question.
Should the GTR have been an infinity like the NSX was an Akira? No. That was the correct marking decision. I think I think I think it was the right move. But remember when the NSX was an Akira? I do. And it could have been a Honda like it was everywhere else. Right. But it was an Akira. Same with the same with the same with the actor. Accura. Integra. Besides that. R.S. Accura. Honda inspired Honda wind of what do you need from the T.S. The court in every other market. The C.S.X. Remember those?
Yes. You remember the Akira's C.S.X.? Of course. It's the Civic in Canada. Yep. What kind of question is that? The non-GTR skyline was of course the G35 and G37. Which was an infinity. So why didn't they give us the GTR? I bet the GTR fan had been an infinity. They did. They sold 10X and still be going today. They weren't ready to ramp up infinity badge production to that quantity. Right. They were only ready to make 14 to 18 of them a year. Yep. Okay. Give us the next thing.
What's the next thing? Oh, some sort of the Jome SU7. This is a Chinese Porsche Tycan. Absolutely. And guess why it isn't the news today without looking at our doctorate. No, it isn't the news. I saw this tweet. The CEO of Ford said he's driving around N1. I thought he said he was in an SUV. He had been in it. You think because it's SU7 that it would be the SUV. So he, the, the, the, I mean that's. It looks like a V like when you flip it. Oh, oh, that's I see it's like a boomerang.
I mean, it's what you would name an SUV. You'd be honest. You're good. Jim Farley, who's the CEO of Ford. I wouldn't name anything the Xiaomi SU7. Well, they make a lot of cell phones. They made sense at the time. No, no, no. No, no. That's what I would name an SUV. So, so Jim Farley said he's driving around in this car. He was in the news a month or so ago because he went to China on a trip. Yeah. And came back and said, my God, the Chinese are really way better car. Yeah, the BVs that we are.
Yeah. They brought over, I don't know, six, nine months ago, 10 years ago, this SU7 as a test vehicle, as manufacturers do. They buy cars from competitors, German and Thesson. He said in an interview this week that he spent the last six months pretty much daily driving. That's the 7 and loves it. It's interesting though. Like, it's a great, I think it's a great sign that a manufacturer, especially one that is as internationally notable as Ford is, they sell cars all over the world.
It's important that they are aware of competitors outside of the Chevy Equinox EV. Right, I mean, it's important. Detroit is a bubble. And this is as far as the bubbles you can get. I agree with Farley about Chinese electric cars. Yeah. You know, it's interesting. Everybody's all Tesla Tesla. But in China, it's, what is it? Baofeng? What is the company that is so popular? What is it? It's not Baofeng. I had that one. Oh yeah, yeah, the Build Your Dream, the BVD.
Okay, we'll go back to, we'll do some creative editing. I think that was acceptable. Okay, but anyway. But everybody's like Tesla Tesla. In China, BYD is like this hot thing and they have all these cars. Yeah. And they have all sorts of tech. Yeah. And I'm also to Chinese car Instagrams. And I love them. And there's a lot of cool cars in China. There's a lot of cool cars.
And it used to be that like you had to sell in North America if you wanted to be a really successful automaker because the market was so large. Yeah. And so like the French companies were never going to be like at that level of success because they weren't selling here. Now the Chinese companies can just ignore America. They're market. There is so large. They don't care if we buy their cars and if they don't need, if you're successful in China, that's really all you need to be.
Yeah. Because there's all these regulatory requirements in all these other markets. And it's interesting that Farley thought this was a cool car and is driving around in it. I'm curious how other people would respond to them. They certainly have amazing tech. Giant screens everywhere. You should get on these Chinese car Instagrams. I can't have a join along. I can't understand any other. Right. But the pictures are cool. Yeah. It's like a three-year-old.
Yeah. The US government and the Canadian government, a lot of others have taken a stance that we don't want to have Chinese cars in the US. We'll put very large tariffs. We'll massively disincentivize it. If we allowed it all, Canada went a little bit further and this kind of pretty much banned them. So I'm glad though that the CEO of the company that is making the third most EVs in the US is at least like paying attention to what other markets and other manufacturers are doing.
Right. Because Tesla is number one by far. But Chevy or GM. Number two in EV sales 23. This is global. No, in the US and Q3. Chevy. It is interesting. All these Chinese cars are interesting and the Americans don't really have any clue what's going on over there and they are ahead. And you know, it is, it's also interesting. We are so clinging to combustion engines and they are going so far ahead with this EV technology.
And when we finally are forced to catch up, they're going to have a huge competitive advantage because we've been so protectionist and so anti-believing combustion. It's like Japan and the 70s with fuel-efficient cars. Yep. That's exactly right. It's the same thing all over again. So the American automakers at least know that and are trying to, yeah. I mean, the Maki is a tremendously competent car. But it's amazing what's going on. You should see the many things.
Can I tell Ken in a two true facts about a car called the Yang Wang U8. Maybe, maybe by BWID. I'll retain these sure. All right. It is a large SUV. It has a 1200 horsepower. It can float. This is all true. See? What are we doing? This is what I'm saying. The Chinese are eating our lunch. They are way ahead. They're building floating cars and we're driving around in non-floating cars. It can float for 30 minutes. If it's 30 minutes, it will elevate its suspension, turn off the engine.
I'm reading this out of here. Switch its HVAC to recirculation mode and seal the windows. Now, of course, that's great in concept. I wonder how reliable that is and how it often works. I'm not even able to do so. It's a little wet and then all of a sudden everything starts shaking. Let's go to a boat ramp and Shanghai. Let's find out. It can drive one point in a mass per hour while floating. It's not just floating. It is moving like a boat. Two miles.
Of course, now, if the current is 1.9 miles an hour. You got a problem, actually. That's an interesting point because it can only float for 30 minutes. So you get out on the lake. Okay. You and me, we take it to a public park in Shanghai, right? We get out on the lake like next to some paddle boats that it looks like swans. We get out on the lake. Suddenly, the wind comes. We're 15 minutes out. The wind comes. We're 15 minutes late.
We're trying to get back and our Yang Wang U8 two miles an hour. We're thinking this 1200 horsepower isn't doing much for us right now. We're at 1200 horsepower 1.9 miles an hour. We're a fight net current. We're a fight net current and all of a sudden minute 31 comes. And the Yang Wang slowly starts to sink. And then we have to yell to the people on the swan boats, please. Right, right. Exactly. And I'll just say shut up, shut up and we're in Cape Rays. Right.
We tried to make sure that we could get the boat. Do you remember that famous Veyron video where Veyron drives? Andy, what happened in a Yang Wang U8? What happened in a Yang Wang U8? But it just landed and floated. Man, I got to get me a Yang Wang U8. Why isn't Jim Farley driving around? There were some Yang Wang U8 press cars in the US briefly. And I was so disappointed that we didn't go on. How can I be involved myself?
We got a lot of emails that are a little shady about whether you want to do promotions. Well, the, yeah, it is interesting that the Vietnamese and the Chinese automates, Vietnamese Vimpass and the Chinese automakers, like want to pay me to review the cars. And I'm like, that also really out works. I'm actually good. Thanks. Although I would take money to review a Yang Wang U8 and drive it into a lake. We take it into the heart. Honestly, I wouldn't cost anything. Dude, we do.
It would be so cool. We go to a boat launch. The one at, we go to the boat launch. The one at San Diego and the harbor by the sea world. And people would be like launching their boats off their Dodge ramps. And we would just drive our Yang Wang U8 right in and start the timer. Yeah, right. And people like, what is that? We'd be like, Yang Wang! And we waved to him and then... So various. I think they would do like boat donuts around it. We get passed by like a duck paddling out.
But you're in there. Actually, what happened? 1200 horsepower SUV. Who cares? Oh, give us the next thing. Give us the next thing. Oh, yes. Oh, something interesting to talk about. Yeah, I mean, fortunately we can discuss it last week. Just due to timing. But the Ferrari F80, not the BMW F80, the Ferrari F80 is important to us. And as far as I'm concerned, there is no more BMW F80. This is the F80. Yes. So this is Ferrari's new supercar. This will succeed the La Ferrari.
It has a 1,184 horsepower 3-liter twin-turbocharged V6. Wait a second. The Yang Wang also has 1,184 horsepower. And this can't float. So, you know, I mean... Oh, your move Ferrari! Yeah, exactly. I know what you're talking about. Of course, it also has hybrid assist as three electric motors. Two driving the front wheels, one for the rear set. So it's the first Ferrari supercar to have all-wheel drive, which is interesting. It does 0-60 reportedly, according to Ferrari, in 2.2 seconds.
And it's going to be about 3.1 million dollars. Again, that's kind of speculative, but you can imagine that's whatever it'd be. So, however... You don't like it. No. I think... That's... That's going to get pulled drag kicking and screaming. So, fundamentally, the F80 also went from a larger engine to a smaller engine. Right. That's a tradition. It's a traditional, you know, so you have to check it out. Kenan, I just said, the Chinese are eating our lunch with these things.
We need to go electric and go smaller engines. The Yang Wang... You ate floats. Right. Floats. What does that have to do with the Ferrari F80? Because... Is he still here to come from? Because he's still here to come from? No, he's over here complaining because the engine's not big enough. Meanwhile, China's like, we don't care about engines. We're making floating cars. They're going to have flying cars. Pretty soon, you're going to look up in the sky and Chinese will be flying in.
They don't even need to fly on an airplane. They're getting a new Yang Wang's food. As we discussed, that's fine for daily usable cars, but this is a Ferrari. This is a piece of art. Who cares for Dungeons? It's ultimately the goal to have the best performance possible. If you're Ferrari at this moment in time, not all it's true. But you want to have the best performance. But you want to have the best performance. That's what's insane here.
The whole point of a Ferrari is in these supercars is that the people who buy them want an experience. Now, people that buy them don't will never drive them. And they just want to park them in their garage. That's true. And say they bought one. That is true. How ever this any Hagar La Ferrari? You couldn't drive it. It was too ugly. It's a different problem. Actually, it's a similar problem. It was tan on tan. But there's a quote from the design boss that I wanted to read.
And he said, we didn't want to get carried away with an nostalgic or continued of idea. And that's why we did a V6. Now. And a hideous car. I love that. Ferrari doesn't do nostalgia. That's the cool thing about Ferrari. They don't do nostalgia. The rear of the F40, the F50 then, so share a lot with it. But they're not retro. That was Ferrari moving forward at the time. Now, Ferrari doesn't do nostalgia. They don't do old school designs. You're right.
They don't do nostalgia except for that the SF90 looked like the F8, which looked like. All those look like the 458. But that's not a retro design from the 60s. That's a new design that they're trying to iterate. The Dichichlin. Doesn't look at all like the Daytona from the past. The Tulsa-Lindry has a front is a little Daytona. The Tulsa-Lindry has a little Daytona. You're right. Let me have a quarry California with the vent in the hood.
That doesn't look like that's not reminiscent of the one that came from. There are my retro look. You're missing the point. This thing is cool. But the SP3 Daytona, which is designed to look like Ferrari from the icon. It's one of those SP1's. The SP3 look like. I want to buy it. Tell me about it. It's supposed to look like the P3 and the P4. But my point. And also the icon. What for? That's a new idea. No, they're missing the point. Ferrari is moving forward. Well, you are stuck in the past.
You're sitting here like, what are you doing? They have 12 in a manual. This thing is the future. I just told you China is making a 12-hundred horsepower. Which is faster than this. Probably. It's the point of the Ferrari. The point of the Ferrari is always the push technology. And you're right about that. However, it's just, I think that the Ferrari Supercar Heritage line ends with the Daytona that came before. The SP3 Daytona. I think that's where I think it goes. 288 F40 50 Enzo Lafara.
It goes F40 F50 Enzo Daytona F3. Those are the big four. As far as I'm concerned. You don't like the 280. I don't consider the 288. I don't consider the Lafara. We'll see about this. I got to drive it. What did they call the F80? Because, okay. So there was the F40. Yeah. Then there would have been the F60 and F70. But they were called one of their stuff. Right. Now we're back. You're picking up on what they're putting down. So there's a little heritage. There's a few here.
They're supposed to say they're going to make 799 of them. Of course, it's a Ferrari. They said they're going to make 799. Yes. They'll make 1,000 and that's before they make it convertible. Right. Exactly. They're going to line and make 1,000 of them and then they'll make it convertible. Yeah. That's why. They're going to make 2,000 of these. Right. 3,000. 4,000. No, no. But seriously, they'll make 2,000. That's 1,000. And then they'll make 500 convertibles.
That's 600. Yeah. But they're going to make 1,600. We're going to see these around. Yeah. Yeah. Which again takes away from how special it is. You don't want to see it. I don't know. I really don't. You like how it looks. I love how it looks. I like how it looks from the back in particular. I think like the way it outlines the rear wheels is really cool. Which is very much like the SP3. I love how it looks. I think it is so cool.
And I haven't been a big Fanta Ferrari design language in the postpenned Farena era. But this, look at that. Look at that. Look at that. Pull that up. I just want to just leave that picture up for the rest of the week. Really? Yeah. Look at that. That's a Ferrari Supercar. Yeah. A Ferrari was derivative. It was boring. This is not boring. You look at this and you say that car is here to kill people. First they went six owners. They put six, that's like, all right.
But I think there are a couple of things that I like. I kind of like this is like reminiscent of like a knock-a-duck. It's like the idea. I think of the design there. It is Ford looking. I don't think it's that derivative of anything they've done. No. I don't like a lot of designs they've done recently. But it is wild. That the family-huller SUV, you get an NAV 12. With the Supercar, you get a little turbocharged V6. It's got 12-huller.
It's got the Roma. It's got the Slightly More, the same horsepower as the Yang-Wing UA. But the whole point of a Ferrari is they used to say, what you pay for is the engine we throw in the rest for free. In this case, they get, if it were the engine out of the Formula Long Car, the V6 out of the Formula Long Car, I could get it. Now it's allegedly related to their Le Mans winning car. Sure. But like, tangentially, I think. So you're really upset about that. How is this a surprise to you?
It's not a surprise. It's just like, I thought it would be a twin turbo V8 out of the V6. I would tell you this, the Daytona SP3 is cooler. There's no doubt. No question. The Daytona SP3 is cooler. It's a convertible. They made fewer of them. It looks crazy. And it's an NAV 12 with no hyper. It's, they look crazy. And NAV 12 with no hyper. If I could afford a Daytona SP3, I'd buy one. How much is a Daytona SP3? Like right now, they're like five in the used market. It's a lot of money.
What were they, two and a half? So this is more than MSRP. MSRP. Also Ferrari did a demonstration lap this past weekend where they took the car on and showed people like in Italy. It was all heard was I know. I know. I know the sound was great, but this is the future. The Chinese was great. The Chinese cars float. Yes, but Ferrari is about emotion and it has no sound, which is the half the reason you buy a Ferrari. Recently I drove a pinnacle in Farena, Batista.
And that car has sound, but it's also electric. And it does 0 to 60 and 1.1. I don't know. Lane. I would rather listen to my 355 or producer shons for R360 go around and listen to the sound of an engine and enjoy it than have no sound at all. It just isn't appealing to me. But you're not in one of these cars. Listen to your jazz. You're not wrong. I have a 355. I listened to it. Although I think you're not wrong, I love this car. I think it's cool as hell. I will say. I like the reactivation.
I will say. The democratized speed has become so accessible that just having 0 to 60 and 2.2 and a 12-hundred horsepower, that's not special anymore. So they got to do other things to make it special, like floating. I wonder if they considered it. But it's beautiful and they've done that and it's fast and that's cool. It's going to be great. It's striking. I don't know about beautiful. It's beautiful. It's striking. All Ferrari Supercar is striking except for the T8E GTO, which was a supercar.
But he doesn't think it's a supercar. Even though it had the same engine as the F40, we'll move on. I think that, I don't know. A time we'll tell, of course, the E2L person. I would like to see it in person. The engine is the Enzo. Oh, yeah, that's also true. But that came after. But nonetheless, new Ferrari Supercar is here and it's named after BMW. Can I say one quick thing about this? Last week or two weeks ago, we talked about how we thought the W1, the McLaren new supercar, was nothing.
I think that they're legitimately helped by Ferrari, like they were with the P1, with Ferrari launching a similar supercar. Created competition. Yeah, nervous. Are you aware of what the W1 claimed zero to 60 times? Well, hopefully it's under two. No. What is it? 2.7. Oh, that's what they claim. That's like a model free performance. Yeah. My buddy, Brett Scott, one of those, he paid like $46,000 for it. But all this also goes like, all right, now the Porsche thing.
We're waiting for the Porsche now. But the Porsche is going to be fully like, I need you to, I want to tell you this now, so that you can prepare yourself for it, because you seem to be very upset about the Ferrari. I could have told you to make V6 hybrid. The Porsche is going to be fully electric. Okay. The mission X is going to be fully electric. It's not going to have an engine. It's going to be fully electric. I mean, it may float. What if it flies? Would you like it then? Oh, yeah.
If they can make it fly. Yeah. You'd be into that. Yes. That would be cool. Okay. I'll take floating from Porsche if they can do that. All right, I'll tell them. I'm going into the dealer in a couple days. Porsche, they won't let him really want the next one to fly. Okay, thank you. All right, we got another news. Oh, wow. It's a good one. This is a pretty intense picture here. So for those who can't see, this is a Revealto on fire.
Now, Lamborghini has issued a recall recently for the Revealto, specifically. There are 455 of them in the United States currently. They've been delivered, which makes sense. Oh, it's impressive in its own right. That made sense why I'm seeing so many of them. But like, they're around. Yeah. But 455. The recor, though, this happened recently. They won't burn to the ground on social media. Some influence in the ground. Was that in Mexico? No, it was here in the United States. That's so serious.
It was a memory service me. And this, I mean catastrophic fire. However, the recall has nothing to do with it. It's for the wiper arm. It's like evidently the post on the wiper, like bends, and then it might cause it to bite. But me, this car is literally on fire. Can I tell you something about this? And why they didn't recall it for fire? I've seen a lot about this. Uh-huh. Combustion engines. There's a combustion. Uh-huh. So like, there's like constant explosions in your engine.
Yeah. It's surprising that more cars don't catch on fire. I agree with that. And so like that car, one of the combustion's happened outside of the combustion area. But you know, and so we just have, let me tell you, I was in DC the other day. Yeah, I was driving in Georgetown, and there was a Q5 on fire. You know that? I don't see any recalls there, but it's same deal. You got a lot of little explosions happening. Wombs gonna be big. One day. You see what I'm saying?
So this is just, it happens, dude. And when it's a Lambo, people take pictures of it. When it's a Pontiac Grand Prix, people are like, yeah. You're a Pinecon. The thing, the thing, they do have an inter-compustion chamber. One did definitely happen out here. But this is indicative that something bigger might be wrong. There might be another recall coming soon. How do you know he didn't light it on fire himself and then just start complaining? He's an influencer.
He maybe wants to influence people. Well, maybe he's trying to sell a fire extinguisher brand. Oh, well, maybe a little light though. Then you would think that he would have used it to put it off. Maybe he did, right after. Maybe he's trying to sell a fire starter. Like a lighter fluid. Now for it, we're whistling these, so I'll be into this. But it isn't. I don't think, based on his reaction to the video, it did not sound well. I'm saying it's surprising. More cars don't catch on fire.
Because there's a lot of fire inside cars. When I was a kid, I feel like more cars did catch on fire. Well, in Italy, I think people were light and stuff on fire. I have a distinct memory of coming out of my preschool. And there was a fiat panda with a fire just an engine bit though. Had a, had a spread yet. The lady, like the old lady just standing next to it, hood up, fire blaring. Oh, she should have closed the hood. Well, I mean, it appears to his point that is where a fire would begin.
It would be in the engine bay. Probably. But everybody was very non-plussed about it. Well. Well, I mean to Italy, and Italy. It's a new day in Italy. Weird stuff happens. It's like New York City. Right, exactly. You kind of walked past it. Yeah. All right, we got any other news? No, that was well. No, we got no news. But we do want to talk about cars. Talk cars. Talk cars. We do. Pull up to C32. All right, it's part of the history of cars and bids is live right now. Why?
We're no sports fighter. Yeah, we do have that. Yeah, that is pretty good. It's C32. There it is. I want this car. What is the bidding at? Currently at 10 G's. I want this car very bad. It's been live for about five minutes. I was in Vienna a couple of weeks ago, maybe a couple months. And I saw one of these on the street, and I took a picture of it. This was the F1 Safety Car, Kenna. This is the F1 Safety Car. Yeah, remember? It made F1 safe. Was this the one that got the car? Yeah, remember.
It made F1 safe. Was this the one that got hit? You've ever seen this clip? No. They go to this rack and they open the door. That's what I was thinking. They go to this rack. They're very scared. Oh, the car's wrecked. We got to check on the driver. They opened the door at another car coming. Bam! Anyway, this car has been imported. These were not sold in the US. This car has been imported and federalized. So it's US legal, even though it's not 25 years old. Absolutely incredible. I want one.
In general, one of these so badly, but this one is so cool. That's a great color. Does it know Mocha Black? Which I own. Which is the interior? No, but I own a does it know Mocha Black. Show them what a does it know Mocha interior looks like. Look at that. I'm not going to lie to you. That is the color scheme in my car. Yours has a brown interior too. Although the mine is brown with black accents. Black is brown. This is real. This is real Mocha. This is a great interior picture.
It's like the doors are brown. This is legitimately what my car has modeled after it turns out. I want this car so much. These are special cars. Yeah, but you won't. We never got, I won't buy this one. We never got a MGC class wagons in the United States. Ever. To this day, we still have never gotten one. Yeah. They now sell the C43 wagon in Canada, but it's kind of a consolation prize. It's not the big V8. They all are cool. I wanted a C43 in 98 to 2000. I want the C32, which is like 0-1-04.
The really cool one to have though is the next one to C55. Yeah. But it didn't come out to middle of 04 and so that's still five years away. So I'm like, oh, this is. So we're getting close. I mean, you made the point that these cars from the early 2000s are like knocking on the doorstep of being in poor. They're like cool. Yeah, I mean, this car is, is, is, is, I mean, they federalize it and it's even car, they got a car sticker.
But even in three years, actually, two years, because they came out in 02, you're going to be able to get one just without doing all that. But it's so cool. Yeah, I don't personally like the W203. The W203 had its issues. But I, the wagons of best version, and this might be the best of the best. And by the way, when I say its issues, I am not referring to reliability. These are actually pretty reliable cars. My problems are that were, I never liked how it looked.
And the interior quality is not all that great. Yeah. But that's also true. The next one, the C63. The 08. That was the worst interior in the world. And I want one of those more. I would eat you if someone was offering me a C63 wagon. But you said eat the leap of your life. I have seen you eat. Give me a knife and fork. Medium rare, please. Thanks. So it is quite a car. It is cool to see. But it just gets me excited about what's, again, this is an exception.
But the cool stuff that I dreamt of as a kid is coming. Yeah. Like, and you'll be able to get it. But we couldn't get here. Yeah. We talked about one of the cars that is that. What's that? The Renault. The Renault Sport Spider. Yeah. I totally forgot about this car. I totally forgot this car. I even existed. I'll be honest with you. I have been thinking about this car for a while. Yeah, I know you have mentioned it. You think we fit?
Yeah. It is a little bit like the least the interior space is pretty well managed. I think we'll fit. Why did they make this? What is it for the two that are on looking at our screen? Renault Sport Spider is a convertible Renault, but it was like a track car. It had like a. It's more than a convertible. It has no roof. It has no windows. Crosswood is just that's just like an air defective, a diraculator thing. But it truly like look at the side profile. Where is this car? Can I review?
No windows. That's in Virginia. That's in Virginia. So this car came out. The timing of this car was unfortunate. Renault Sport brought this car out exactly when the Elise came out. And so unfortunately the Elise always overshowtered it, but they wanted a lightweight driver-focused car that was just purely about the driving experience. I mean, because it is completely impractical and about nothing else. It was so insane. I'll never forget. So insane.
And seeing pictures of it as a kid being like, what is this ridiculous car? And I got a roll bar from the factory. O.E. roll bar. Yeah. Pretty legit. The whole car. So where is it? Where is the look at it? I think it was in Virginia. Yeah. Oh god, I know. Well, it's just truly. Why is it not in our office right now? It's a good market. If you buy that C32 wagon, I will pay you the same that you paid for it in a year. I think it's interesting.
You'll bring it to the office and I'll get jealous after a while. I know you would. I think you'll take two months. No one's for you. No one's for you. So it's not interested. Okay. Felipe, tell us about your top cars. Yeah. What I am interested in is buying a 997.2 cap. Okay. I'm going to buy this. I'm going to buy that. But this week there's actually a car that is come up. It's not a side unfortunately. No, the side. But I just want one picture of one of general.
There is a car that has come up and Felipe is interested in it. It's a 997.2 Carrera base for over the stick. Super base. Nicki Minaj. Yeah. But what do you tell us about it, please? All right. It's in North Carolina. Very close to where I used to live. I will be in North Carolina coincidentally for personal reasons starting tomorrow. I'm going to go look at it. Talk to the guy tonight. Please buy it. Please. There's a real chance I come home with it. The car that you're at is very reasonable.
It's a nice car. Please do it. I need to get him down. Do it from us. Do it from me. Do it from Mike. How do you robot Mike? Mike. How do you robot it? It's convincing. No. Less interesting. Here's my concerns. I've never. I've never spent money on a car. 27,000 miles is the most I've ever spent. This would be at least high 30s if I'm successful. Never bought a fun car for myself. It's actually a fun car. The Fiat is like, it's a fun car. It's a fun car, but it's a low-risk, low-reward fun car.
I think it's pretty good. It's so loud. I drove it so yesterday. It's so loud last night. Yeah, exactly. It's also was very fun. It's very fun. The anti-social. The cold started on a 500-barth. It can be. You can drive so aggressively. And you're still only going 35 miles an hour. It's fun. And it's a joy. And I treat it like absolute. Yeah, you do. Yeah. I drive so hard, which is not my personality for anything else except for what I'm driving. So you get a nine-man service.
But I want something more special. And I've never driven a nine-man. I've never driven a nine-man. It is a lot of money, but I'm telling you you'll get an outfit for the same money you put into it. You're bringing it to California. The land of convertibles. It's a cabriolet. He's not going to do this. There's a real chance of mine. If he doesn't do this, I think if he doesn't do this, we don't talk to him about buying cars. I agree. I think he's used up his... He's cried wolf.
He's cried enough to have the fair cost. He's cried wolf. Bear. Pick me, Marma said. And Dealer even. Yeah, he... Oh, look on that. Look at that. Yeah, I need to do it. I need to do something. I need a special car of some kind. I need to build out the collection of cars that I've owned. Because right now it's very weak. And I think 9-11 would be great. You admit that? Yeah. Gladly. Here's your kids are real question.
All right, first of all, I'll be in the nose kill line and then up the eastern support. You ship it. You dummy, you're not sure. But I could drive it home. You're not driving it from North Carolina to California. But I thought for you. Why are you so stupid to tell for you? You get hit. You get hit. No, good. Why do you value it before the joy? It would be for the joy.
There's no joy in sitting on the freeway in Oklahoma going 71 miles an hour behind a truck that's going 71 miles an hour passing another truck that's going 69 miles an hour in an 80 zone. What if I want to have road rage with a Nissan? You can do that. I can do that. You can do that here, though. I don't have a relationship. I'm going from North Carolina up to New York-ish. Could I trade, drive it and then ship it from there? Yeah, I have a risk delivery. It sounds like a great idea.
You should definitely. Drive it up to 95, experience the Northeast in the of now 11. Here's a real question. Do I have a PPI? No. It would be like a high 30s car. It has great service records. I have two other subpoenas about this than other people. I don't know. I don't know what your tolerance for risk is. That's the question. I've done car PPI's before that they haven't uncovered what I needed them to uncover. And I go into any car purchase just assuming I'm going to write a big check.
But I'm also able to do that. It depends on what your life situation is. Buy the car. Okay. We're going to talk about it. It's a 997.2. So a lot of issues resolved from the end of the day. There's no IMS issue. There's a bunch of other reliability things. You're not really. Those cars are reliable. Right. Exactly. Like they've been resolved from the.2. This car has pretty extensive service records. 200 from New. New zone is for 12 years. I think I can get away with that. A GPPI.
For a car like this. Yeah. If I had a pre-car effect. Yeah. I would budget 10 to 15% that you'll get. Okay. I can run it for grand. I would budget that you'll need for grand to bring it up to kind of the standard that you want it to. Yeah. Which is your usual approach. You know my standard. Yeah. But if like a turn signal is broken or a date fuel gauge is broken. Oh, turn signals broke. I don't know on Porsche. That's a perfect. All right. We're going to move on to our. I don't trust you.
But I want you to buy a week from now. I want me on the podcast. Do we get for that? I will be back. And I might tell you about my purchase. If you don't, we are never going to talk to you about buying a car again. Please just do something. I don't even blame you at that point. You cried chameleon. The boy. The boy. The chameleon. You cried giraffe. I'm not wearing the shirt today. I'm sorry. Okay. Next up. Time for our market report. Run to you by the cars and bids app.
It's like regular cars and bids. But an app. And better overall. Get push notifications. You can get notified if you've been outbid. If you have a new message. If there's a car that you like, let's listen. You can download it at the Apple App Store. It's iOS only at the moment. But go download it. And it's great. Currently number two worldwide in the App Store. No, but it is at a much higher. We were in the shopping category. And we have beat out like home depot and H.E.B. Oh wow.
We beat out the home depot app. Take that. Or for blank. All right. I want to talk about the market report. I want to talk about the Ferrari 812. We just sold the Ferrari 812 GTS. This exact Ferrari 812 GTS. Yeah. We sold it for $522,000. A great number. Nearly weeks ago it had failed to hit reserve on the bring a trailer. For $500 and how much? $514,000. So we got more money for this car. And you know that got us thinking.
Yeah. What is the situation on the bring a trailer versus cars and bands? It happens a lot. We track a lot of examples where a car feels to meet reserve on bring a trailer and then sold on our site. Or also someone case over the solvadas. It's sold later a couple months later. I'm pretty sure the new owner wants to get rid of it. The same car. The same as a car. And that's always people are thinking, dude, just bring a trailer. Get more money. Well, here's the data.
We did a bunch of work to get to like track down all these things. Being by then. And our data shows that in Q3 we got 1.3% more money. So you same car 1.3% more. How many cars is this? 60, 70, 80. Pretty small range. 60, 70 cars. We got 1.3% more money. And we got 70% more views and 70% more bids. So way more people are seeing cars when they're on cars and bids. When people are bidding on cars when they're on cars and bids than anywhere else. I will let the audience make their own conclusions.
But we have some factual, factual. They are factoring. They are factoring. Including this 812, which just brought more than it did across the street, as I often say. Across the street. This specific car got about 8,000 more views and double number of bids than that same auction a few weeks ago. I'm going to bring it to you. Well, there you go. The audience can draw their conclusions they wish. We've told you some facts. Facts. And this data was over the last quarter. Yeah, Q3. All right, Q3.
He lives in quarters. You and I, week, days, months, he's like Q3. That's true. H2. That's what they call it now. Second half of the year. Maybe we want to have dinner. I can't talk Q4. I can't talk Q4. Well, luckily we're in Q4. I have to. I know. But I have to people that's Q1. I want to talk about last market report before we move on to questions. I want to talk about the Honda pilot. I didn't see what was the result. Okay. We sold an O4 Honda pilot, EXL. We sold an O4.
Here we are talking about how we get more money from 812 GTSs. We're going to move on. We're going to pivot now. Park pivot. Park pivot. This was a special pilot. I had low miles and was one hour cat. I had a 14 grand. Oh my God. We, I grew up, my family owned an O3 Honda pilot. Yes. We didn't splurge for the leather or the nav. Fun fact. For the first generation of Honda pilot, you could get leather with either the XL, just leather.
You could get it with either the rear-seater attainment or the navigation cannot be bolted. The MDS is like that. Wait. But you didn't have an LX. You're over here talking about the poor little immigrant from Italy. You guys did get to see the F. Thankfully, my family did get up to that. And we, as a result, we didn't have a sealer that we had tinted and we didn't have a plastic. This, honestly, the plat, oh, you didn't know. No, okay, got it. The LX had the plastic side.
They had this was plastic. But only that, not the front rear. Just that. I was going to say though, this, the good, the bra. Yeah, it's the bra. It's so period. It's so period. I want to talk about it because. When did cars from 04, I guess we were just talking about two different cars from the early 2000s. The Renault S4 is in the late 90s, but it looks like a 2000s car. Like these are becoming nostalgic. I'm nostalgic for a couple of 04 cars. Yeah, Kenan, you got any nostalgia for some 04s?
I mean, I live in 02. So. Yeah, I go. It's just interesting. This is a, it's a great example one. I get why somebody paid up for it. They're reliable. They're good cars, but it's a regular car. Okay, let me ask you this. And I'm dead serious about this. Because this happens a lot that people will pay up for a, for a, the pile just hits home. Let me, let me, let me throw a little, a little curve ball at your brain. What if that someone just buying a used car and they think, you know what?
This has 40,000 miles one on our old drive, 15 grand. Dude, a new pilot's 50, right? Like, I'm dead serious. Like, what if it's just someone, it's not like someone who's going to museum piece it. What if they're just going to use it? What else can you get for 15 that's going to run? This car's got 40,000 miles. It's got 100,000 miles left in it. Well, maybe 50 for the transmission goes. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We sold.
And 2014. We sold our 100,000 pilot, which had 130, 140,000 miles in a lot of rust for $500. Well, we could have driven a hundred thousand miles. Does 100,000 miles cost us 15 grand? I guess my point is just like when I think about this, It's insane when you think about a used Honda Pilot, an O400 Pilot is selling for 15 grand. That's insane. But when you think about a used 3-row SUV with a lot of life left in it, it's selling for 15 grand. You start thinking, you know, what's a four runner?
I mean, I know it can go off road, but if you don't want off road, you just want a reliable SUV. What's the no four four runner? With 34, 30 thousand miles of hell. 30? 15, I don't know. You get my point. Like maybe it's just someone who wants a used car. And it's gonna be a great one. The iron is that and the 10 year newer Jeep Cherokee that's in the reflection in the photo, same cost. Well, because they're paying up for quality. And I don't know what we call it.
Not saying anything bad about the Jeep Cherokee, but it's trash. Just what these are what people are nostalgic for now, I guess. They want the cars from early 2000s. Maybe I don't know if it's nostalgic. If I'm buying a car for a 16 year old and this thing shows up, I'm like, you know what? This car's got a lot of life left. It's reliable. It's like, this is a pretty good choice. EXL means that I think it also has to build a control. But I may have come in no five.
I mean, to put it this way, it's like, I think if you showed up to, I mean, slightly outside, the car off the roof, you showed up to Radwood in this. I don't think people would freak out about it. I don't think that nostalgia is strong enough. Not yet. Yeah. And I'm sure, I mean, when we come up with, what's the 2000s version of Radwood that will eventually be up? What is that called? .comwood. .com. When that eventually happens, this thing pulls up with the pilot branded car bra.
Yeah. This is my, I've discovered through this listing, the our pilot, which was this color, the Starlight Silver. Starlight Silver. I have no idea. OK. Next, we move on to questions. Questions, questions. Remember, you too can ask us a question. Go to carsandbids.com. Click on the community tab. It literally states community. And then we'll have a poster that says, ask us questions for this week's pod. And you can ask them.
And we will answer the highest uploaded questions, no matter how stupid. OK. The first question, most popular, from one UIS. Mary Kill Kiss. Oh. Oh. Doug slash Kenan Zonda F1 F40. Sorry. I get the opportunity to kill Kenan and Doug. Zonda F1 F40. Tough. Tough. Tough. Not that tough. Well, you marry the F1. Yep. OK. You killed Zonda. Yep. Kissed the F40. Kills on it. Yeah, probably the same. I don't know, though, because I think the Zonda is wonderful. It's wonderful.
It's not what you use, but it doesn't say for Ariana. What would you do? Fanboy. Probably the same. I might switch the F40 in the Zonda. But at the end of the day, I admire the F1 too. I like to pretend I'm not an F1 guy, but you saw that orange one. See that orange one driving around? Do you sell door if that's all I want? Yeah. Filippo Yours was Pusho 206CC, Renel Cleo 3RS, or Mark IV R32. Killed the R32. Of course, it was sold here. Right. And not by the French.
I don't know what the first option is. Pusho 206CC, remember that car? Hardtop convertible. And then Renel Cleo 3RS. Cleo 3RS. Oh, man. I actually really hate the 206CC, although I've good memories of this one. The Cleo 3 was like early, looks like early to mid 2000s. I've married the Cleo 3. And go on a date with the 206. Yeah, you put the top down. Yeah. Have a good time. OK, next question from XJ40Jag. Hi, Doug. Why did you stop trying out the back seats of cars with small back seats?
You know, a lot of reasons. But the biggest is that I have significant back problems. And it was always hard to get into those back seats. And it's even harder now. Part of my back is numb right now, as we sit here. You could pinch me. If you want to come over and pinch me in the butt. I really can't express an English to you how little I want to do that. Well, you could. OK, you could. And I wouldn't feel it. So I got that's an issue. I'm getting older. And it's getting harder.
But I still show you the back seat. And it's great. OK, next question from Austin M0330. What cars and bids channel video ideas have been attempted slash recorded, but then thrown out and not uploaded? Anything you really wanted to work but failed. Austin, you underestimate our professionalism. If we're filming something, it's going up. We're not Mr. Beast out here. That's sitting around here like discarding 13 ideas on the cutting room floor. This is what we are.
The beauty of the cars and bids channels that we can test content. Yeah, that's exactly what we've been doing. Right. There's not much that doesn't get put up. No, and most of it's fun. Like, most of it is good enough to make it up. And some of it doesn't do well, but it still goes up. It's fun. It still goes up. It's always fun. Do have a theory. Every once in a while a producer will say, oh, I'm sorry, the audio was really bad on that. He think it was really bad.
I think he just didn't like what video. I think he'll admit that later off camera. OK, next question from Dodge Demon 170, which is the fastest Dodge Demon despite its small number. He's an Android version of your app coming. Philippe, we're discussing that a lot. We've loved hearing the outpouring of interest in the Android app. You can keep emailing us apacarsamits.com. Who can send any email to that? Who monitors that? You have several of us. Several of us.
So please keep letting us know if you do want an Android app. We're figuring out what the right strategy, time line, et cetera is. Wow, diplomatic. Yeah, diplomatic. He's switching from, he really wants to say, is getting iPhone. I was an Android person until Doug offered to buy me a sweatshirt in exchange for getting iPhone. Did that ever bother me as sweatshirt? Was this on the inside? No, this is like years. I don't know. Years ago. Do you still have such a sweatshirt?
I don't think he ever bought me a specific sweatshirt. You want to sweatshirt? I'll get you a sweatshirt. OK, next question from dark. And this is a great question. Is there any evidence of YouTubers actually driving up car prices like movies did in the past? And it's so what was the car that happened to? I got to be honest with you. People, whenever I post a video, people are like, oh, you're telling the secret of this car. Now people are going to buy it, and it's going to be too expensive.
That's like a common criticism I get. But like, 300,000 people are going to watch the video. Half of them are not in the United States. And some of them are 12. And some of them are 70. And aren't really buying a 86 civic kind of space. It's an nostalgia play. And I don't think that this happens usually. However. However, I do think I drove up the prices on those convertible G wagons. I think people didn't know they existed.
And when I did that, immediately after my video, they started taking off. And like, celebs started getting up. I set that trend. However, that was a big commitment. Like, I think like people who just do a video on a car doesn't really happen. For me, I bought the car. I did a whole thing on Instagram post. It got out there in the consciousness a bit more. I think the impact is also a little bit driven by what is the, you get to see the lived experience of owning that car.
And that gives you confidence maybe to buy. Like, you see a YouTuber, you see their experience with whatever car. And you're like, oh, I can do this. That's a great point. When we were kids, Akuntosh was a black hole. Like, you hear it's unreliable. You don't know anything. But now, you can actually like, Stradman will give you the data on his like, they run. Right? You know exactly what that thing costs to all.
And that has opened up like the ability to see these cars more as things you potentially could get. I will say that our friend Ed Bolian, who I love dearly, I think he has kind of hyped up the Lamborghini Mercier logo in a way that it deserves. Just a little. Just a little. Just a little. I don't believe in doing this, by the way. I've been accused of this before of hyping up a car that I own and then selling it for a profit. But it's true that I don't sell any of my cars anymore, really.
And I certainly haven't made money on them. But you certainly not the only one. I personally think like, I think Magnus Walker drew a lot of attention to Airquil 9-11s when they were kind of cheap, just used cars. There are definitely some examples of influencers who have had. And that's a great one. And Ed is one for Mercies and Tomarian in that whole like ecosystem. I think it happens. But I think it's a lot rarer than people think.
People are like, if I post a video, people think that suddenly that car is now going to be too expensive. And it's like, it's not that easy. No, it's not that. No, it takes a long time even so. I don't think it's a lot. But when people, when some influencers buy a car, commit to it, make a big deal out of it, talk it up with rarity, it definitely does get other people kind of thinking like, oh, OK. And when an influencer crashes a McLaren Senna, then the number of Sennis is less.
And that also helps. That's true. It also, yeah. Use a strategy. By 12 McLaren Sennis crash seven of them. The other five go up in value enough to cover the crash seven. That's true. That's an idea. This is an idea. OK, we're going to do two more questions. And I have to go to the dentist. We're ending this podcast five minutes early. OK, first question. Hey, guys, what is your favorite non-US market car that you wish had been sold in the US? This is from Ind underscore can. This is a tough one.
It's pretty easy. I mean, the Zonda. The Zonda is a good one, E60 M5 Touring. I'm going to say 61 and 5, yeah. I mean, there are a lot like 964 like Carrera RS. Like the Carrera RS in general. Like there are a lot of versions of cars. But of course, now, it's portable that we like. Yeah. Should we go what car should have been? Or I would be very pragmatic. Any of the fast renos like the Clio V6. The Clio V6. All fully legal now, by the way. Mid-engine Clio V6. I'm a very pragmatic person.
I'm not going to say a Fiat Panda. That's by the fact that I would love a Fiat Panda. Because that was never going to sell well. So I'm not thinking about what would have sold. I think that I'm a low-disappointed. That none of the cut is not going to care. You know, all the late 90s European minivans. There were actually three fundamentally the Volkswagen and the Sharan. I can't express it. Or said Alhambra. All those, the old Zofira. No, that was smaller. Yeah, but the same idea.
Or like the Fiat. Oh my god, what was the Fiat called? Ulysses. Yeah. What was the launch of called? It's now called the Voyager. Yeah, but there was something else. I don't know. I thought they were great mayvans. They were just exceptional. They were great users of space. And this is the point of the none came to the US and said we had the wind star and the free star. We get the Kia Rondo and the Mazda 5. Which, fun fact, Kia Rondo, 7 seats. C-OK, DTM. LAUGHTER There's a lot of good ones.
I feel like we've covered this a lot. But there's a lot of good ones. What is the C-OK Ulysses launch model? I must know. OK, here's a great question. Oh, Kenan's just, I know Kenan's response to this already. Felipe, you and I will have a draw. What was it? P-H-E-D-R-A. Really? Parallel. OK, next question from Brown Diesel wagon V8. When thinking about enthusiast cars versus YouTuber slash rich person cars, like Kuntosh versus 570S. When I see 570S, all I know is that guys got money. Yep, yep.
All I know is that he bought some Bitcoin. Do you ever think there will be an EV that's known as an enthusiast car? I actually like this question. Yeah, there it is. Yeah, what is it? It's a Tesla Roadster. When I see a Tesla Roadster, I don't think that person's an enthusiast. I think there's an Elon Musk enthusiast. Really? It's a little car garage that's never seen in the East. It's fundamentally in the East. Yeah, but it's got a tip and it's electric.
I've never, I go to a lot of garage that's never seen a Tesla Roadster next to what? 575 has a tip, too. OK, this is an interesting question. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know. You see somebody in an anonic 5N, you don't think they're enthusiasts? Yeah, I do. But he's talking about sports cars. And that's not any of these four cars. That makes the question more interesting. Well, they're becoming more. They're in theory in the next year or two, will be more.
I got to tell you, when I see a remector of Hera, all the way to the scene around, I don't necessarily think that person's an enthusiast. No. Do you think that about a shoe road? No. Yeah, that's a good question. That's a good point. So that's not really some of the more. But yeah, of course. But some of the mergers were really rich guys. Any of those cars, if you're not interested. I think there's, I think, in order for there to be a taikon a little bit.
When I see a taikon, although I'll see taikons my courage to G&A, they do not even have no idea. But a taikon sport charisma looks. Yeah, taikon sport charisma. That's probably the most enthusiast VEV right now. It's actually like a good spec. Yes. Other than that. I think 5N is the most enthusiast VEV. Yeah, Ionic 5N. But who's paying 70 grand for an ionic 5N1? I don't know. Yeah, have been on the road. We live in the place of my courage. New electric cars too. Yeah, especially that.
So. The answer to the question right now, I don't think there's one specifically. There are some that are headed more in that direction. RSE Tron GT, although that's kind of a rich guy car. I think kind of the enthusiast the way the enthusiast thing ties in is I've seen a lot of EV swaps in interesting cars that were either problematic or the engine didn't make a difference in terms of the experience. And so I've seen stuff like that. There's N30M3, I think, with the EV swaps.
That's pretty cool. EV West, the Insane D. Like that was like, those were enthusiast building cool enthusiasts with EVs. Yeah, that has those happen. But in terms of actual manufacturers, it's like, I just can't say anything. We're like on the fringes. There's that Tycon. And if you see a Tycon wagon, if you see an ionic 5N, you assume. But yeah, I generally agree. It's not, they're not tremendously there yet. But they will. But then what new cars would you say are there? That are not EVs.
GT3 RS. Sure. But like the 12 GTs. Car's you don't know. Like a sports arrest. Sorry, a pen. Yeah, the equivalent. A penamera. Penamera sports arrest. Sure. But a lot of porchets, I would assume, someone's in the car. Yeah, but that's because they're on that. That's available. Like enthusiast EVs. We're on the cusp for that reason not because they're not cool. There aren't that many enthusiast EVs. So we'll see what kind of is interesting.
No one through this will buy a mechanical V. Boxster and theory will be electric. They'll be interesting to see. We'll see. The BADES and BADES are barely there. It's an interesting question. And I am curious to see how it goes. But right now, there's not that many cars that I would, but I suspect the answer to the question, the question is, do you ever think there'll be an EV? Yeah, probably. We're going to go that direction. They shift now. That the Ionic 5M. Oh, oh, oh, oh.
Yeah, it was, we experienced the future. We experienced the future. And it's not so bad. Now, that's pretty cool. Give it to us down here. Yeah, in Toyota. So that might be something like, like, do you guys give? They're not doing it for any production cars. But give me an electric manual would be very cool. What about that LFA thing? We'll cover it next week. You won't be here. I won't be here. I will be maybe a general night or night. Seven. You better be. Crazy Nick. I hope.
I hope you've enjoyed the people in two weeks when you're bad. Thank you, everyone, for watching. This was our finest podcast yet. And remember, Mike, the Audi Robot says, please drive safely. And go to the dentist. Oh. I can't believe it. Bye, everyone. Goodbye.
