The most powerful aspect of the internet is its ability for it to connect any human being with any other human being. The critical moments for this occurred when blogs, podcasts, and early Twitter allowed anyone to set up a soapbox and create their own audience. Since then, more and more middlemen and censors have sullied and broken that connection, bringing us back to the days of a small group of humans broadcasting to the rest of the world. We need to make the internet person-to-person again.
