Here it is, the moment we've all been waiting for... the holy grail of Mary-Kate and Ashley movies... today we talk about Holiday in the Sun.
And we know what you're thinking-- didn't you two already talk about this movie? NO WE DIDN'T. We interviewed Ben Easter aka Jordan Landers as in Landers Hardware Store Landers, but just the two of us, Becca and Lani, have never talked about this movie in real life or on this podcast!
So today, we leave no pukka shell unturned. We get into the nitty gritty of what made this movie so special and a nostalgic favorite among pop culture intelligentsia. Also, being the enthusiasts of story and film that we are, we pick apart the parts of this movie that don't, let's face it, really work.
But bottom line: this movie single handedly gave an entire generation unrealistic expectations for 1) falling in love on a family vacation and 2) the overall quality of Krispy Kreme donuts. And for that, it will always have a uniquely special place in our hearts.
So slip on your flip flops, jump on your private jet, and get your fish blender ready, because we're going to the Bahamas! And Ineedabeach! And Ineedamartini... STAT!
