Episode description

Odds and Ends: It’s the most wonderful time of the year: candy hearts season; T.J. talks about Alice in Borderland, as well as his fondness for the “game of death” genre; Nick saw Damien Chazelle’s newest movie, Babylon, and according to the box office, he’s one of about 50 who did.

Feature Film: Our third horror(ish) movie by a one-time director in a row (basically), we’re talking Carnival of Souls. An atmospheric low-budget psychological horror that may or may not be based on an old story we’re very familiar with, “Carnival” shows it’s budget in certain areas, but hits in the right ones. A neat movie all its own, because you ain’t seeing any of this cast or crew in anything else.

Next week’s movie: Disaster Movie (2008)
