In this episode, we discuss the contents of the Lord's prayer and how it teaches us to pray. Although it seems simple, the Lord's prayer is a tightly packed biblical and theological lesson of why we can and should pray to God. We also talk about monks.
The Lord's Prayer (Matt 6:9-13, NRSV)
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
And do not bring us to the time of trial,
but rescue us from the evil one.
