Episode description

Welcome to the PowerWorks Podcast Short with James Piecowye and Glenn Power, where we dive into the latest issues surrounding electric vehicles and dirty electricity.

In this episode, we discuss the practicality and limitations of EVs, as well as the need for clean energy production.

It's easy to take electricity for granted, but where does it come from and what is its impact on the environment?

We touch on the importance of renewable energy sources such as hydrogen, and how the UAE is setting ambitious goals to be a leader in this field.  While internal combustion engines have their benefits, it's clear that the future of transportation lies in electric vehicles. However, the current limitations in charging infrastructure and range make it a less practical option for many.

As always, we bring our unique perspectives to the table, discussing the importance of clean energy production and the need to think beyond just individual modes of transportation.

Takeaway #1: The shift towards electric vehicles is inevitable, but there is a pressing need for clean energy production to support it.

Takeaway #2: While internal combustion engines will eventually become a thing of the past, we should also recognize their contributions to the advancement of transportation and the need for a practical approach to the transition to electric vehicles.
