¶ Discussion on Rebooting Superhero Movies

The only main thing is that I heard Warner Brothers trying to do a Justice League movie trilogy now , and I'm like I had to start with Lyora .

The only reason why I'm giving a little bit of hope is that I swear to God because the way they set up the MCU now I'm really hoping that they set up a really good Doctor Doom to be Avengers threat , not just the sandbox Fantastic Four threat . That's the only reason why I care about Fantastic Four as a movie . Other than that , leave it a fuck alone and let's have more Doctor Doom . That's it , that's all . That's the only thing I care about right now .

Like go ahead . They do the basic on , like it would be so much better if they based it on how they were doing the animated series . But the thing about it is like DC animated series , they can go far with that . They're able to have like a little bit more freedom with that . They don't have the power to do that . They don't have that freedom anymore .
They don't have that freedom when it comes to live action , because the thing about it is that remember , it's always also still that writer strike when it's doing like the animation , the only thing the animators are doing , they just animation stuff . That's about it . The voice actors are the pre-reported lines and they haven't reported . That's about it .
There's a lot of struggle into that .
I just remembered a third example , like the fact that they tried to do a reboot of you know , they try to do it with Power Rangers , the movie . Like you know , that one movie yeah , it's like you try to capture a light in the bottle twice and it's not going to work for you , phel , it's not going to work .

Is this , that those limitations , is the biggest thing . That's the biggest complaint . Let me not say that's the biggest issue , that's their biggest complaint .
They have actually done the interviews , I think , even like James Gunn wound up talking about it and he's like there was so much more freedom that they're able to do with animated than they can do for live action and that's like the biggest things that they have to change of hindrances . My biggest concern is that you talk about a reboot on just those .
There's a new animated DC movie , war World . It's been hyped up a little bit and it's been coming out , but if I'm correct , I think James Gunn was also helping direct into this one . This is supposed to be like one of his first ones in the DC that he's helped with animated , with their animated films .
So now I'm a little nervous because I'm like man , hold on a second . I already took over the live action . Don't , please don't , screw my animated . Every single DC animated movie that came out has been fired Like straight up , like it's been straight up gas , like I'm still .
I'm still waiting on when Jet Black wants to go ahead and do the review of Justice League Dark City . On the Justice League Dark trilogy . Oh , bro Listen when you ready for it , I am down .
I'm just saying listen like I was playing on doing a whole DC extreme review and I'm thinking like , okay , there's going to be a lot of DC movies that I really would like to talk about .
And then , as soon as I got down the list , I'm like , oh man , I got to get ready for Justice League , dark apocalypse , war and all the war oh bro , it's a lot , that's what I'm saying .
Man , like the Justice League , dark movies , man , that's a genre in its own and it's worth it , but that's what they know Like that's . And then we know we've got like several different bat different like Batman movies that was getting remastered , the Phantasm . The Phantasm got remastered recently onto that one .
So they're trying to do something with the animators and I'm not too upset . I got to see how war world is , I just got to see . If it is okay , I won't be upset . But if it feels to James Gunny you know what I mean by that it feels to Gunny , I'm going to be mad and that's a funny thing too , Like we , we we cracking our jokes .
But this is the same dude who pretty much gave us Guardians of the Galaxy and he did pretty well with those .
But it's like , okay , now he's over at DC and I'm like he's also the reason they try to copy Guardians of the Galaxy for love and thunder . So we don't have to be honest on that too .
So I'm thinking like , hey , man , like you can't be too campy with these dark ass movies , like you can get away with it in Marvel , but DC , I'm like you got to have to , like , bring the nitty gritty .
Do you think that DC might be just too dark and maybe they need to bring in a little bit of humor in there too ? Like If they sprinkle it in right , like don't like so , like Batman look look at the Batman animated series , batman beyond .
We still have those really really dark moments , but then , like every now and again , batman crack up like a hilarious ass joke .
It's kind of like okay , I'm saying this , as long as the humor is how can I put this ? As long as the humor is organic , is genuine , it's like okay , to be fair , that was kind of cute , so I'll give them points for that .
¶ Discussion on DC Comics and Adaptations
But if they like trying to look too hard with the humor , then I'm going to notice and I'm not going to like it .
I mean I felt they try to be really , really humorous with the Flash is running like that's still like one of the biggest needs out there , but then again , the Flash is kind of more of a humorous character , so that's more understandable .
But I'm talking about the more serious characters like Batman and shit . I'm like , okay , you're going to have to like tone down the humor with some characters .
True , true .
And then , like I will be honest , it's like it's done right Me , but it really depends on who you got cracking the jokes . This is true . This is true .
Like I do , like my hero , my friends man , I like that one . That was actually pretty cool . I like how they kind of changed up into that one . But it is one of the ones where , like , like you said , some characters are just more dark and gray , like Batman is just dark and gritty . That's just things . And then has some history .
Hold on , tell us I know you have a thing against the look , I do have my issues off , but that we're going to save that for a time . This one is an interesting read . Like retake on it .

Let me be real . You got some characters that don't do it as much as others , but majority of them do it . Why ? Because they are what is defined as a superhero . They are defined . Even the villains do it . Why ?
Because you're supposed , because for them it's like hey , you have talking means you have some sort of moral compass Some of you have some of it a little bit there towards something , someone , somewhere . There are and I'm going to put it to you like this folks , I'll say it to you wholeheartedly Go fight your mammy , not me .
There are anime characters , there are other motherfuckers out there that don't do that talking . Let me be real with you . Let me be real with you . Right , if we were to put , if we were to put Isen against all of Marvel and DC , isen will win . Why ? One of why ? Because Isen doesn't have that talk . No juice , oh , but wait , isen does talk .

Since we were Isen . It's like he's one of those villains that he can't be reasoned with . Either you're joining him or you're in his way .
That part , and there are a few villains within Marvel and DC , as well as a few superheroes in Marvel and DC that are like this . Don't get me wrong . I have my certain iterations that I like Superman . I literally kick him to the curb every fucking time . There are a few versions of him I do like , because those versions don't fuck around and don't talk .
They're like nope , this gotta be done , get him to fuck out and keep moving . Same thing with certain other . Same thing with certain other ones . Side note , quick secret For those of y'all that still think Batman is human no , prep time is actually his actual ability , because , as they did , because as they goddamn detective , as they detected , he scopes out shit .
Sure , he will let motherfuckers get their ass with . However , comma , while he's letting you get your ass with and fighting somebody , he's already calculated how to beat them . He's just up there calculating how to beat them . That's mutant level shit .

Remember , also , with new 52 , batman is now actually considered a meta human because his intelligence makes him . It bonds with being his meta power in the new 52 comics . So there , you go . He's no longer just a regular . He's actually considered a meta human in the new comics . Now .
See , that's about the main thing . That's the funny thing is I was just thinking earlier today is like you remember okay cook , you guys , you know now remember inside job . It was like the last episode where okay Jr goes to this first place and he see all these different statues and you see , like Ronald McDonald I was like what's he doing here ?

Yeah , is this true ? I mean , considering the fact that Batman is also like . One of the funniest things to me is like they kind of hinted at it before the new 52 comics was when Batman was able to sit on the apocalypse throne like on the apocalypse throne , like a dark side throne that he has , that has all knowledge and shit .

Yeah , and most people can't handle that , like you try to sit on it and it automatically like fills your brain with all the knowledge and stuff and it will literally kill people straight up . And Batman was able to sit there , take all the knowledge , bask in all the knowledge and still ask questions and then get up .
It's not something that people can just do .
Yeah , that's kind of like with the whole will to defend it . It's like not anybody does do that shit .
But outside of that outside the scope , though , going back in folks , you really want to get good DC . Right , we're on good DC movies . Here's the thing DC is made to be relatively dark , If we're going to put it the way it is . Dc and Marvel both have light and dark shit . However , Marvel more so focuses on the light , not the dark , side of things .
Dc focuses on more so of the dark , not the light , side of things . More of their heroes get killed off . So , if you really want to do this shit , get somebody who is not afraid to literally go in and be like , hey , we're not just going to pull from the 1960s , 1970s , 1980s comics . We're not just going to pull from there those people didn't die .
We're going to pull from some of the more later , some of the more recent , where hey , yeah , Superman had to die . Superman came back . Show he has some sort of a mortality . Like we're going to show where Batman almost gets his ass worked several fucking times over . Like damn you to death . We're going to show all of this .
We're going to show that , hey , matter of fact , you should do the whole protocol where Batman literally had to save the entire Justice League from him .
Oh , like doing yeah .
Do show him where they were , where Vandal Savage literally beat the entire fucking Justice League off of Batman's plans and Batman had to save them with their own contingency .
But now let's be realistic onto this , though . If they were to make up because we kind of had a situation like this happened before it as well If they tried to do this , this adaption onto it , but they fail , and it's one of those ones where the animated one was still way better , there's going to be a big setback on that .
Whereas , like , you try to do what you succeeded in the animated one and you failed the live action . Why did you even try ?

All right , so season three of Tokyo Revenge is coming out on October 3rd . Season two of the Emerson's Shadow is on October 4th .
Season two of Goblin Slayer is October 6th . We just had Anakin Skywalker showing up on episode five of Ahsoka with the theatrical release , and , my God , that episode was great . Season two of Spy Family airs next week .
¶ Upcoming Anime Releases and Recommendations
Solo leveling anime television series . New key visual has been uploaded and the anime is scheduled for January to 2024 . Blue Exorcist is coming back with the Shimane Illuminati saga arc premiering on January 2024 as well . Season four of Demon Slayer premieres in spring .
Season two of Arcane has coming back for winter 2024 and the fairy tale anime is possibly returning , and winter 2024 as well . Thought , so far All right .

Steven Moore yes , absolute gas . Like straight up it was corny as hell but in such a fantastic way that it was it's worth watching , like for real . And the new one like we already had this OP character . Now we just jumping into vampires and all types of stuff and it's like let's go . Like , let's go , let's just do this .
See , what I like about already is that it has that high school D by D grow building already to where it's like , oh , y'all really get into it now Okay .
And we have a character who's actually about the business Like he ain't about , like he ain't about the life of like . Oh , I want to go , I need to chase after these girls , I need to do this , do this , no , that plan and he executes that , and he executes it flawlessly . Every time he shows up , stuff is done .
Man is so about it that he made a team to handle business . He didn't even got to do nothing and so when he shows up , he's just handed away . He got to handle it and then dip . Mason anime .
This dude is so OP . The plot literally revolves around him is like this dude creates the plot by accident . That's how we're power .

I mean one . Obviously your biggest dude in there is the goblin slayer being the main character , but there is like they do a really good job fleshing out other characters in there as well too , so as one was once .
It's like it's a pretty good story to watch and getting you know , you'd be thinking that he just fights lonely goblins and nothing , but this dude is masterfully OP fighting these goblins . There's something there really .
Hold on pause , really , with goblins layer , he's the main one where it's like I I want to say he kind of started the whole trend where nowadays there's these anime to where , okay , the main character Just stays in this one area the whole time , but they're maxed out on their skills . That's .
That's where it kind of started , because I've been noticing a trend ever since goblin slayer .
True , true , I probably say this because it's even another anime that has something kind of similar into it . Um over cautious hero if it has a really long title , but the last little bit of his cautious hero . You just look that up .

¶ Discussion on Anime Seasons and Pacing
Buckle up for episode one episode one is like you ain't prepared until you watch . When you watch , this sets the tone for the whole . It's a whole anime . Like I read the chapters for , like chapter one , it sets that tone , like that's just .
Bro , imagine how I felt when me and surferensumon decided to watch goblin slayers for the first time together and we had to watch that scene . I was not ready for this , oh .
All right , so let me just so breeze in through real quick . Um , unfortunately I don't have disney plus . I ain't had a chance of watching the soak . I just keep hearing how amazing it is . I'm gonna sad on that one Spy cross family .
Um , so , look , I know this is called season two , but in my brain in season three , because it's literally went from season one , part one to season one , part two type thing . I enjoy it because I'm a dad , so I relate heavily . So , boy , when he's like I'm just trying to do my job and my wife and my daughter is doing some absolute nonsense .

Pretty interesting to me because of the fact that , like , I'm nervous into it because so book , so blue exorcist for people who haven't seen it , it's been out , it's been a while , like this is a long gap for this , because so we had season one and About halfway through season one it completely changed the story because the manga hadn't , the anime had already
caught up to the manga . Now , granted , I want you to understand , when I watched this I did not know this . So I'm watching the anime , I'm getting a little confused , but I'm like , okay , I'm just gonna roll with it , this is what's going on .
And then , like , the next season came out and it like for a while time to like halfway in the first season and then redid it and it was like what ?
Yeah .
That it was because they just finished off the season one instead of holding off on it , and so season two rewinds back and actually follows the manga as it's supposed to go . So the thing about it is is that season two Was picked up by a different animation studio , and so already the fact that it kind of rewound back .
For people who , like myself , who didn't read the manga at the time , it was a little confused , so we was already struggling to follow along , because it's like this is season two . Why are we going back in time ? Did I miss something ? Is there ?
Is it gonna explain it later that , oh , we had rewind time and changed the multiverse with some shit , like I don't know . It's like something like that was gonna happen and it never happened . I was like what is going on ? I ?
honestly , this is not that much different from what they pretty much did with black butler , to where , okay , we're gonna pretend season two never existed and we just hey , listen , let you can watch season two if you want to , but basically is season one , then book of circuits and whatever is after that exactly , but the thing about it is the biggest difference
into it is that the writing for what they did for black butler was significantly better .
When they do it , yeah , so it's like so it kind . So because of that it already had fell off . Like they they want to cancel the new season because it just didn't pick up . Like those who follow the manga was like Y'all already ruined it . I don't want to watch season two .
And then those that like the anime and try to watch season two was too Confused because they didn't read the manga and was thought that supposed to be continuation of what happened to season one . They're like both brothers are supposed to be devils . Like I'm confused . Why don't we go back ? Like it was just too much going on .
So it's interesting to see this brought back after have been such a long gap . We have a fresh new audience because we have a lot more new people watching anime now . So I'm curious to see how this goes . That's just kind of thing for me .
On to that one , and I think the last thing you want to Call on , yet last things you mentioned want to be in demon slayer . I Look , I have my thing with demons layer . Okay , I don't . I'm not upset with it . I Do kind of like it . The animation style to me is pretty cool . I know some people's like .
If you like the animation style you really don't like , I said no , no , no , I'm not upset with it . I like the animation style because it reminds me of like it's like a mix of modern anime with like the old school Japanese artworks and and it's . It gives like a really good feel to me . I'm an artist , y'all know this , so I love that .
That makes you feel like I love seeing the visuals and stuff . My biggest issue with it is that the pace for demon slayer to me reminds me of Dragon Ball Z , and y'all can't fight me on this no . Who's like demon slayer . No don't know what you're talking about . No , let's be real , talk , bro .
The longest season like this last season that I know watch , I need it . I'm not even all the way up to have me to see the newest season . The last season I didn't watch had them in the red light district is I've been watching with my wife , so we watch it when it comes out on Netflix .
So I want you to understand , understanding that that entire fight Happened like the actual fight . When they finally got into it happened within one night and it took eight episodes For one night . Then the bad part about is if you skip the recap , I'm noticed if you skip the recap you're skipping five minutes of the episode .
Most recaps is usually like two minutes at an intro . That's like another man to have the recap on every episode . So starting at episode five is five minutes long , or they recap what happened in the previous . I've already seen what happened in previous episode . I'm binging this . I'm trying to see what happens next .
See , okay , birth ball . I was gonna say I was gonna bite you on that , like yeah and the over exaggeration , because you know how dragon ball is with their own fucking final fight scenes were like yeah , it's like Dragon ball . I might , bro , like you can fit a whole fucking season with this one party . That's how long it was .
But hey , I feel like , okay , yo , that's a little merciful compared to fucking 1621 , 26 episodes . Just a bro like , okay , tell us , I know you're already with me on this one , but fucking one piece . It took 60 , at least 60 episodes for it . We'll be the fight , kido .

Remember comic I killed the anime didn't like the last fight scene , like actually know before them before . Right before the final fight scene they cut away from the anime . So people died in the anime that didn't die in the bunker , like at all .
Oh yeah , I know , I know , but my thing is this , and I'm saying it whole heartedly , right , why is it that seems like what you're fixing to do is you just killing off everybody and Like , okay , look , hey , we're gonna put some Boruto type of shit , we're gonna make it where we have a brand new set of kids and them , the ones that are gonna kill them ,
but the ones that y'all thought was gonna kill him , now they're gonna just be old , they ain't gonna have kids if they die young , like like .

You remember the cell games , during the long wait between the cell games that we had to wait for Because it was dealing so much with that .
You know you had cells standing in the arena just posted up , brady Finn wanted to show up to smoke and all these other different characters showed up . Stop doing it . Like one of the best shorts out there . But definitely for real is the fact that , like I just I enjoyed the anime Totally spiced . But this strike is happening for a reason , and the thing about it is is that even them agreeing to pay union rights , the biggest issue that's happening with the sex protest is that there's issues on multiple ends there . You know the the people who's making the shows .
They're trying to steal the likeness of these actors , are trying to steal accreditation for the writing and not pay people as much as they need to be paid for . But then the other thing about it is is that there are some unions that are taking advantage of this and they're like , yeah , we're standing up for you . This is not going to happen .
We're going to do this , and what's happening is is that they're having to pay these unions that's , you know , standing up for them but they have to keep paying for this to happen . So these people are not working but still having to pay their union to try to keep paying the lawyer fees into it . I'm losing thousands of dollars now Like there's not .
I'm not winning either way at this point . Like a lot of people , they're not winning the longer the strike goes on . That's literally what these corporations are doing . They're actually trying to drag out the strike to the point where people are so desperate for money that they have no choice but to come back .
They have no choice but to agree to the terms in order to get some type of dollars or , you know , risk the chance that you've been so out of the career for so long that nobody would want to hire you anymore . It's all a scheme and they're purposely just using the strike and it's horrible .
Like we want to strike the end , but like , like we got to get , got to get people treated better . So I feel very horrible , in fact , that we don't get the original actresses back into this , the original people , because they deserve it . Like we , I would love to get that . Like I'm happy that Rick and Morty . I know we didn't .

One of things about it is he wound up doing something that we see that I have actually seen some people have to do before because of the fact that , like America made power Rangers such a big popular thing that his Sentai show , though really good and very great scripts to it , it's not becoming as popular .

But the thing about it is is that he purposely keeps those scenes to like one , like five minutes seen per episode , so you could literally skip it and then , even if you skip it , you won't miss nothing in the story . It's quick done and he moves on . His big thing . It's like it's only for the story is the main thing . You watch it .
You could literally skip the five minute scene and you move on and don't care . Matter of fact , if you get it . You could , if you were able to augment that you can augment that five minutes seen now and you just have a really great story and scene and stuff into that and so .
But he has to do that in order to try to get some type of revenue for his show . So it's really sad when it's like you have really good shows that's just not getting out there like you need to and you got these little booty ass shows Getting all the popularity in the world and you like . Why you watching this dumb shit , bro ?
Now Doom Patrol I'm be honest with you , man . Doom Patrol was hilarious . But Doom Patrol's funniest moments to me will always be when that big muscle dude could flex any muscle and do whatever he wanted to do and he wound up having the whole town , including the town itself , erect in pleasure . That was the funniest thing To me at the whole show whatsoever .
But Doom Patrol is very watered down . First thing is I was nervous in the fact that they replaced Beast Boy with cyborg , so I was like I don't know how this is gonna go . Yeah , but it was still pretty entertaining .
But I will say in this aspect here they have heavily , heavily watered down the main villain , and they had to because in the comics , literally this villain is Fucking multiversal level threat . He can't work reality so Cool .

I would be revisiting Buffett and Vampire Slayer lately , especially since I heard some reviews about it and I was like , okay , this is kind of a silly show , but I like it . But , bro , my favorite episode by far was the one when her mom died .
And I was like , bro , like , because you know , the whole point of that episode was the negative space when there was like no music , no , nothing , it was like a whole series moment . She thought , oh no , it's not true , she's not dead , she's gonna wake up , shit . No , no , no , this is happening .
There's like no demon to fight , nothing , none of that , she's just dead . You just have to live with that . And it just got so real that one episode I was like , okay , okay , so Buffett can't be a little serious . And then you see some silly shit again .
So I'm like , okay , well , think about it this way . Also think about the time frame that came out . It was an early 90s show . It kind of dragged off for a little bit . So yeah , it was gonna be . It had to have those silly moments to keep entertainment , because it was supposed to be . It was tuned for teenagers .
So it's kind of I mean , I'm not saying I didn't like it , but I'm just saying like it's kind of a silly show .
Let's be real , it is it is very much so , Plus . At the same time , I think it came out at the round . It was also in competition with Smallville At the time too when it came out . So yeah , we had that song when .

So , with what was going on , when the board told Manga after they finally had the time script , they had a moment where what happened was that , in order to help out with the anime and with the manga that was coming on , that they were making four new original episodes of the original Naruto anime and it was supposed to drop earlier this month , if I'm correct .
And what happened was is that , as a lot of people , that still was hyping up you know the new big three After Dragon Ball Z being much older and stuff and so what happened was that a lot of people were hyped up because it was supposed to be the moment where Bleach anime was airing , one piece anime is airing and Naruto anime is airing , and it was supposed
to be all of them airing at the same time . It was one of the few times that , like the big three , that particular big three , because I'm gonna just say there's multiple big threes , if you want to put it that way Everyone has their own different thing .
But during that time period of what was most famous , it was supposed to be kind of like a callback to some of that , to that moment when those big three anime were supposed to be airing at the same time , because Naruto is now long finished and stuff but unfortunately , due to some issues that was going on , they wound up having to hold back and they pushed
it back . So now the Naruto episodes are not released out yet . They're not released out currently , and the estimation of when those episodes are supposed to come out Bleach's Thousand Year Blood War arc will be over , so it completely cancels the chance of all three of them playing at the same time . And it was like a little moment .
On Twitter there was a bunch of people who were really pissed off about that and it's like man , we almost had it , we almost had it , but then Naruto just dropped it . They just dropped the ball like what the hell type of thing . So I feel like Bleach is trying to drag this out so that happens . Don't do this , please , just don't . Oh , don't
¶ Ultimate Muscle and Marvel Studios' Issues
Now . I'm excited for Ultimate Muscle . I'm excited for Ultimate Muscle because Ultimate Muscle was one of the few shows that Four Kids did not ruin , like Ultimate Muscle , shaman King and I'm gonna go ahead and say Sonic X . Technically , to me it had a good anime feel to it . It was purposely drawn like anime style .
It was one of the few shows that Four Kids did not like fuck up , like , let's be real . Yu-gi-oh was still great , but they toned that shit down heavily about what was going on and there was a reason they had to take it off Four Kids at a certain point Because they couldn't tone it down anymore . It was too serious at that point .
That's why they never finished it on Four Kids and they had to switch over to like Tsunami , because Tsunami was finally able to air it like it needed to be . So Ultimate Muscle was one of the ones that they didn't have to tone it down . It was an exciting kid manga that was also for , like , adult fans can enjoy it too .
The anime was great and they didn't have to change up too much . They didn't have to change up too much the voice acting . So it was one of those ones that was great . But they left us on the biggest motherfucking cliffhanger . The biggest cliffhanger . They just we got hyped up for this big fight .
No , kid Muscle was finally gonna go up , finally gonna get this big fight . He was finally gonna go up to his dad and then the show got cut off .
See , that kinda pissed me off on the same level as Zatz Bill , To where , okay , in the anime you just defeated Zeno and then the final scene was Zatz fight Braga , but you don't even see the fight . So that's it . Go on .
Cuz Tsunami lost the contract for it .
