¶ Updates and Discussions on MCU Projects
Yo , what's good everybody . It's Jet Black and Stream Coco Gazu and Professor Tuck with another episode of the Zone Podcast .
It is the third Nerdy News Special and , without further ado , let's go ahead and zone in on this myriad of updates and developments that's been going on in the past month or so , so it's going to be mainly June , so pretty much everything that happened in June is going to be mentioned here , so let's just go ahead and get into it .
For starters , there's an updated MCU slate now . Captain America , brave New World by the way , new World Order got renamed into Brave New World . It got pushed back from May 3rd 2024 to July 26th 2024 . We have Thunderbolts that got pushed from July 26th 2024 to December 20th of next year .
We have Blade that's going to be pushed back into Valentine's Day of 2025 . Deadpool is now May 3rd 2024 . We have Phantastic Floor now on May 2nd 2025 . Avengers , kane Dynasty that is May 1st 2026 , and Avengers Secret Wars is May 7th 2027 .
So , yeah , got some things pushed back , but , um , oh good , I can't wait to see some of these things like Brave New World , uh , mixed bag , we'll see . Right , definitely interested in Thunderbolts , uh , with Blade , i'ma . Oh , my god , the constant what ?
Yeah , the constant updates with the writing and all that to where I'm like , bro , like come on , I'm ready for it to be over with . You know what I mean ? Like let's get it out of here already .
I think my HR . I'll leave on . Do a good job , though my HR la la , la la . Obviously said , obviously said Bro he being everything , he did a great job in the green book .
Yeah , uh , yeah , he was also um Cotton man from all the Mucay the Netflix . Yeah , yeah , yes he was .
He did a fantastic job on that one . I don't know . I'm nervous about Blade too , because of the fact that , like , like Jet Black says , so many changes that keep happening onto it , especially since , in fact , it is already .
The biggest thing was when they first wrote it , it was not going to have that many action sequences into it , and I'm like how you gonna make a Blade movie without action , right ?
Yeah , I'm like that's like the weirdest move I heard . I'm like what the fuck ?
But you know I don't mind to rewrite and taking the time with it , because if you understand the history , you know how important Blade is to the MCU . It wouldn't be no MCU without Blade . Shout out to Westeros , knight True .
Actually the funniest thing , while we mentioned that my wife actually had looked it up into it because of the fact that , um , howard the Doug wanted to be in Guardians of the Galaxy .
Actually , howard the Doug is actually the first Marvel considered now the first actual Marvel movie , considering the fact that most people don't acknowledge Howard the Doug because it is that horrible movie .
Well , that , and he's more of a comical character about dudes .
so it's like , and you know , Okay , I'm putting this is so Howard the Doug , in case people don't know . You can actually watch it right now Amazon Prime if you have it . So me and my wife had she's randomly founded decide put on and I remember only watching one time and I was like I just remember being a horrible movie .
That don't understand why and I was trying to figure out why is I remember watching this movie ? To send the fact obviously I was not born in 1980s . And then , second , when I did watch it , I had to be . I was extremely young .
So , funny enough , when the movie first came out I was supposed to have a PG rating , but there is a lot of nudity in that movie and it was like PG rating for this interesting . Yeah , I know .
Stanley was going for .
But , now , I'm not how Blake will do .
I'm actually happy Deadpool is moving up , mostly because of that . I'm hearing good news into it that they're doing really good with the right , with how the writing and the production is going , so Ryan Reynolds is really on top of things . That he's like .
You know , that's a big jump moving from November to May , and so it's like , hey , now we're really about to knock it out the park . We really got this and he has a really high hopes into it and so far Ryan Reynolds hasn't been bad .
I mean , I've seen another movie I forgot what it was called where he was supposed to be in the future and he was meeting his younger self . I can't remember the name .
The Adam Project .
Yeah , adam Project . So it was pretty good , though , like it was actually pretty decent movie . So I think it's pretty straight , like I'm excited , into that one , everything else being pushed back . I'm not too upset about it because in fact , we're going to see how things go . I do want to mention this as well too , in case you haven't heard .
So Jonathan Majors has been brought back into the MCU because they did find out on the most recent trial that they had that he's actually innocent and now he has a counter lawsuit going against . I'm going to sue now his ex , now ex girlfriend . So I'm about to be painting on that .
I did hear about that . I did hear about that . But I'm kind of green with people saying that , wow , like he was innocent the whole time , but at what cost of reputation .
Look , is one of the same things that people saying either this is going to be like they compared to two different things .
Man , it was like this is going to be another Johnny Depp situation , or it's going to be like he's guilty , going in and just like great , another black man going down for doing stuff he's supposed to be doing , like what's going on , type of thing . And you know , came out pretty different , came out of the way it was going to be kind of a crazy thing .
And now we hear so now he's got the counter , so now you got the counter lawsuit going and that's supposed to happen back in .
I'm sorry Now , but this just reminds me of the one skip , like this real old skip , that Long Beach Griffey did when he you know , that's get where when dudes get on false the accused and they served on jail time and it was like , well , I guess I'll teach you a lesson about , you know .
And then it was like , but , bro , like I was falsely accused and I was like , well , not my problem . I was like , wow , just the apathy of it all that's what pissed me off .
They can turn on you in a second .

excited for Fantastic Four ? I'm not . No , no , no , no , no , no , no no , no , no hold on .
I'm not Before we get to Fantastic Four . Hold on with Deadpool three . Let's keep in mind that with the writer's guilt strike that happened . Okay , he can't improvise his line , so I'm like okay on , first of all , I can believe that Ryan Reynolds have no creative talent . You know he can like premeditate his lines , but I'm not entirely .
I don't know if I really care for him being able to improvise the lines , because you know that was his charm , but it's almost like I kind of don't care either way , just more as long as the whole script is like well written and it'll be fine . So it's like I'm not going to be too hurt about there being no improv , but saying to I'm just like no .
I think the improv would be important because of the fact that , like when you think of Deadpool's character , everything about him is improv the way he talks to , the way he breaks the fourth wall and talks to us about everything . I think it was like a segment . Recently somebody had shared different comic books that they was reading .
One of the ones where Peter Parker tried to reveal his face to Deadpool , to reveal who he was and what wound up happening was , is when he took off his mask , deadpool only saw like a blank face . And then Deadpool turns around and he's not . He's talking to us , but he's talking not just to us , he's talking to the writers of the comic too .
He says is Marvelcom , you're the ones who are doing this , you won't let me know his secret identity and stuff , and it's like it feels like improv . It feels like it was not scripted whatsoever . He just was like this was supposed to go this way and you decided to change it last minute . Well , guess what ?
I'm changing it last minute to it's like Deadpool's character . So to eliminate the improv . I don't know to me . That's my biggest nervousness . Off to it , right .
That's the charm right . You just hook up and boom , baby Liz .
But no , listen , listen , I'm not saying that without the improv , that I don't know . I'm not saying that I'm not against the improv , because you know I love the improv , I'm just saying that I don't know if I would underestimate the better . Ok , they can probably make the script without it , probably .
But again , I'm just nervous because without the improv it just won't have the same charm at the last two . So it's just a real really wait and see and hopefully it'll turn out good anyways . But I'm just still kind of nervous about the whole thing with how they can play , how they can proceed with the film , but they just can't improvise anything .
I'm like they need to go ahead and add some mutants , because I want to see Deadpool versus Wolverine .
That'll be about that . That is in the film .
Yeah , oh yeah . I think that's one of the things that he advertised into it is that Ryan Reynolds would not stop bugging Hugh Jackman after the after the last movie he was in was an explosive Wolverine I forgot the other one , but the one where he died in the end of it and so that one . Huh .

Oh yeah , logan . So yeah , with that one . He kept bugging Hugh Jackman because Hugh Jackman was like I retired from the MCU , I'm done , I'm good now . And then Ryan Reynolds kept bugging him and they literally kept saying , like when they did interviews , hugh Jackman was saying that he kept emailing him , he kept calling him .
He said he kept trying to meet up with him and he was like look , we need this , we need this , please . I need you . I don't want any other Wolverine . You have to be Wolverine , you have to be the right dude .
That is a fact , yeah .

¶ Deadpool 3 and Fantastic Four Hype
. Hell yeah , they even did like a little .
I'm glad they pushed the shit up .
Yeah , they even did like a little teaser to where , okay , ryan Reynolds was doing a little update on Deadpool 3 . Yeah , something's happening . And then at the last minute , he was like hey , hugh , you gonna be in the film . I'm like , yeah , ryan , what you doing ? Yeah , they made a whole thing about it .
My excitement is on a thousand now . Yeah , Now the one thing .
I will say is most interesting is the fact that I'm curious how Deadpool 3 is going to be , considering the fact that they already still changed out that they still the MCU retcon , deadpool's healing factor being his own , versus it being some of actual , versus it being Wolverine's DNA that gave him his healing factor .
So I'm curious on how that situation will want to be , since they're bringing Wolverine and Deadpool together .
Yeah , that can do a little backstory thing .
Well , as long as not . Well , you know what ? I'm not going to even say .
I'm not going to say this and then we move forward . If that's cool , which I just want to mention this .
So the last most recent Deadpool teaser that was released Wanda having Ryan Reynolds Deadpool going across like various different forms of Deadpool's and shooting them down , and literally , of course , going right back to X-Men Origins , wolverine going to that dead , also shooting him down .
It was like hadn't speaking to the audience to speak into Logan as well about what to do and stuff . So I don't know . It was pretty interesting on how that works out , because in the fact that they already had a teaser of him going through a Deadpool kill Deadpool situation also , just really think it's pretty fun . Okay .
Hey , I got a question . What's up ? Who is this audience that wants to see the Fantastic Four again ?
Okay , hold on . Now , this time with the Fantastic Four . I'm thinking , okay , they already got Captain America Brave New World where they're teasing that Seahawk might be in there , and I remember how Seahawk was also a member of that Fantastic Four .
So imagine if they were like , okay , we're going to get the game together , but they're going to do it like kind of different and Seahawk might be involved somehow . But who knows ?
Really , all I care about , honestly , is because ever since they got Kane the Conqueror out , now they have to do Dr Doom , because if you know , the comic Reed Richards came to the Conqueror and Victor Von Doom is related to a certain degree Reed the Conqueror scene . But it's like at this point you have to put Dr Doom in here now .
And at this point I want to see Jessica Alba or someone .
Yes , I mean , you know with the multi-portal , hey man , they can put so many variants like I wouldn't put it past them .
Look , we can go back to the first Fantastic Four .
They just need to put her and have her walking around for an hour and a half . If you walk around for an hour and a half , I love that movie .
I ain't got no words for you , but look , but the sooner fact that they have with how multiverse works and they continue to multiverse . We can probably tune into the original Fantastic Four movie as well . To even if we can't get all the old cast back in there . It would still be nice to have something .
It would be very interesting to see Captain America and human torches look at each other and be like you look like me , you look like me .

Now that's how they're dragging it out where literally the episode can cover , like , honestly , the last three episodes . All could have been one episode .
Like realistically it could have been one episode , but they're not doing that .
It's a money grab , that's all , it is Same thing they was doing with Dragon Ball Z . Goku was fighting Frieza for like 12 weeks .
Well , an explanation for that , of course , being well , they're moving so fast that for us , we just have to slow it down , but realistically , it all happened in literally just five minutes . This plan is going to explode in five minutes 12 episodes Like a , and fast Bro .
I mean also Toriyama was trying to end these Dragon Ball Z on the Frieza saga . So it was like OK , let me cheese it a little bit and just end it off on that . But they were like no , we want more . Unlike being reborn as slime and everything , where the hero is reborn and reborn as a spider and stuff , you born as a vending machine . They are the ultimate support system .
Whatever comes out of the vending machine will supercharge whoever it is that gets , so that this is the ultimate support character .

There's a lot of different Samurai . Samurai Samurai that's famous , so I can guess . I can let you slide and not remember Roni Kenseth , I guess . But look . So Roni Kenseth already has had an anime remake anyway . So the original anime first year , like in the 80s .
Second , the remake happened in like the early 2000s , like late 90s , early 2000s , that's the one that popped up on TVNAM was the remake of it , and so now we want to getting another remake into it . But we're trying to see how things are going to go . Really curious how this is going to be . What's the reason for the remake ? Is it ?
was it , like Brotherhood , where they need to stop the confusing timeline ?
No , so that's the thing about it . And when my wife left my wife left and brought off when you said that too . So that's why .
Oh , at this point there's a gauge to this . It's either it's either going to be like Try Gun Stampede , where it's just going to be amazing out of nowhere , or it might be kind of like , kind of disappointing , like Shaman King .
To what you know , they kind of spoiled Z bomb being involved with like the first 30 seconds into the fucking thing and I'm like bro , why ?
Why do you say that they haven't actually confirmed if it's a retelling of the story or a remake of the story or if they're just doing another remaster ? There's no real telling into this . Yeah , but we're really . As far as into it as far as into it . There's already a lot of stuff into it , so , like right now , Netflix still has a rights to it .
You can still watch it .
Currently there's a three part of Veroni Kenshin live action that was made by I can't remember the name of the studio , so horrible about this , but it was actually pretty good and it is literally it's a Veroni Kenshin , the prequel , whereas his beginning , like how the manga started , then it's the final , just the second chapter , which is the final chapter , whereas
concludes with him fighting against his brother . And then there's the prequel , Samurai X Sorry , not his brother fights against Shishi on my bad . Then there is the third one .
The third one was being the prequel and the after sequel , where they were combined Samurai X and the what led up to Samurai Yahiko , where literally Kenshin is having to battle his past of when it is that he got married , he had his wife had died , and then he also wound up having to fight against his wife's brother in order to try to calm him down , type
of thing .
And this is what you excited for .
No , this is what this is kind of what was . Out of all of them , this is the one . First off , what you understand . Veroni Kenshin is like by far a fantastic anime in itself . Like . This is just a similar gist of stuff into it . There's not talking about the actual story in itself .
It's literally about a samurai who spent a good portion of his childhood because he started as a child learning how to fight and had to kill people during the Shogunate era because he was . You had no choice . You either joined the rebels or you joined the Shogunate .
And he wound up joining the Shogunate and so he was up trying to fight for what he believes to be a peaceful world and a peaceful kingdom and he just wanted things to be good and be calm and he was up killing so many people . But he doesn't like it . He hates that . He does it .
But the thing about it is that he is the most badass character in the anime , so literally nobody can beat him .
Now listen . This is why I will say it's kind of reminding the Trigun Stampede to appoint well , Trigun . More specifically , because the main characters think about like this between Vastestampede and Kenshin Himura is like goofball characters , but they are built different when they're mad as fuck .
This is true . This is true , and Kenshin is one of those ones that we wait Tuck . You should remember this . ¶ Discussion on Anime and Live-Action Adaptations
But studio , you have four table , you fold school , However you pronounce it . They're developing an anime for guessing impact and they're speculating that the animation is going to be so good that's even better than Demon Slayer . And I was like , oh , word cap .

Yeah , I mean , we'll see , I don't know . It's like to be honest with you . I like Demon Slayer's animation . I like it because it's like really like retro , like really old school Japanese art comes to life , yeah it does feel like really good into that .
But then at the same time I'll be honest with you with how things are with technology and stuff I do feel like the animation can be a little bit better . Like I'm not saying it ain't good , I'm just saying there is room for improvement into that . So possibly we'll see what happens into it .
But if you just out here being like , oh yeah , that's going to be our selling point , you got to be careful with that yeah . You can't back it up . Not only are you ruining the anime and the anime gets trashed , you're ruining your studio .

So with the resident evil franchise , if you want some good resident evil franchise shows , you need to go to the animated movies . You can find them on Netflix there's still a Netflix right now too so them is much better , especially because , in fact , that they can actually showcase the monsters a little bit better .
Because with the Netflix live action show , we had one huge monster . When we know we had to , we had two huge monsters and that was it . And when you , really when you understand resident evil , there's never just one or two huge monsters like what the hell right , what is going on like type of thing .

I don't even know how they're gonna do it , because at first like even my wife was just like bro , maybe they have it set up to where you know he's gonna go through some major life changes and stuff and then he's gonna throw out and he'd be like huh , you look a little different than you used to , or something like that .

So yeah , that's pretty much what's going on there . Final Fantasy VII Rebirth announced for release in early 2024 , while Final Fantasy VII ever crisis is getting a close beta on July 6th .
Man , I tell you , right now Square Enix is making a bank off of Final Fantasy 7 . Final Fantasy 16 just got released and right now there are some people talking a little bit about it , but it's still getting overshadowed right now by Legend of Zelda , tears of the Kingdom at the moment .
So they released out 16 , but their biggest moneymaker right now is definitely going to be on Final Fantasy 7 . So , and I'm curious about how ever crisis is going to be , considering the fact that it's still based on Crisis Core and Final Fantasy 7 .
Crisis Core was considered one of the worst Final Fantasy franchise games , so we're going to see kind of how that goes into that , like where they actually fix a lot of mechanics into it as it comes out . So we're looking for that .
And I know this is not on our docket , but I do want to let y'all know that I again did get accepted for that beta for Quidditch Champions , the new game for Harry Potter . So as soon as that drop we'll have a bit of exclusive information for you .

A lot of people still nervous about the fact that they're redoing the timeline again , but instead of calling it Mortal Kombat 11 , they're calling it Mortal Kombat one . So a lot of people have still been pretty like why the hell you doing this ? But whatever .
But they have released out some of the roster into it and it's very interesting on what's going to be there and how things are going to , how it's supposed to play out with Luke Kane's new storyline .
But in Luke Kane's new storyline , even though technically , how the trailer shows , even though he's the new person of the new timekeeper , people still don't like how he's doing things either and there's still some people rebelling trying to be able to get into the temple to be able to grab some extra power , apparently a power that Luke Kane may or may not have
known about . But if you actually are fans of the original Mortal Kombat franchise before it was all bought out by Netherrealm Studios .
If you're a fan of the original timeline , you understand that there's a specific mention of a special artifact , of a special power that was not previously mentioned in the Netherrealm Studios games , but they're bringing it back for this one , so it'd be very interesting to see how that plays out .
So not only are they going back in time with it , but they might be doing a whole reboot on the canon , the lore and shit .

Two more things under game and we'll be done with this section here . The second update for Sonic Frontiers will allow Sonic to do his iconic spin dash , and I'm sitting here thinking why was that not included in the first place ?

I still haven't played frontiers , so what happens is so , when Frontiers are . Before this update , what happened was is that , aside from the fact not having a spin dash , so Sonic has a special thing where the in this game , where the more rings you have , the faster you go right .
Yeah right .
You start off with a cap of like 400 rings . So for Sonic to meet his , to get his maximum speed , he has to have the max number of rings . So when you go to the skill tree and you upgrade the max number of rings that you have , in order for Sonic to reach his max speed you have to have the maximum number of rings .
So if you upgraded your rings from like 400 to 500 , Sonic can now no longer move at his maximum speed at 400 . You have to now have 500 rings in order to be able to go at maximum speed . And if you decide to get money hungry and was like oh , I'm going to upgrade to get 999 rings , Well , guess what ?
Until you reach 999 rings , Sonic's going to be moving very , very slow . That feels like a design flaw . I'm sorry it is . It was a big issue it was stupid . It was a big issue that a lot of people wanted to complaining about and so and then .
So adding in the spin dash allows you to be able to at least do speed boost even if you don't have the maximum number of rings . So you can get a maximum number of rings . You don't have the maximum number of rings . That way you can finally get some type of speed to go through the game .
So literally what made sense was to literally never upgrade the maximum number of rings that you needed .
I mean , I never did that to begin with , but it just sounds so dumb now that you think about it . I was like bro , like you're adding you know what ?
Well , it's time because he didn't get faster . Everyone thought that by increasing the maximum number of rings that he'll get faster , but no , he doesn't . It changed your max number . That was what it was .
