Nerdy News Special #14: Assassin's Creed Shadows, Rap Civil War, and the Diddler Strikes Again!

what up nerds ? It's another nerdy news special on the zone podcast , and before we really get into it , I have breaking news . Three things popped up while I was getting ready for today's podcast . For starters , mashal magic and muscles getting a sequel anime . Not a second season , because second season already came out in march . It's getting a sequel anime .

So I'm gonna say it like this let me hit real quick , first and foremost . First and foremost , everybody that was like oh my god , this was just so horrible . Um , ladies and gentlemen , boys and girls , not everything is supposed to go to movies .

I can actually see that because it works better as a TV show if you're trying to slow burn , like give more characterization to the characters . But Oxford , these characters were so fucking bland that the Julia girl in that film was the best character by default Only because I'd say to a certain degree she made a little bit of sense sometimes .

My thing is bruh and I'm gonna say it like it is . The reason being this movie flopped in theaters the way it did was because nobody knows about the Madam Web series unless you are an actual comic head .

Unless you are an actual comic head .

Like , unless you like , majority of people only knew about Madam Web and they knew about the old lady from the you know Spider-Man animated series when it was on Fox Kids and stuff Like . That's the only way you knew about Madam Web unless you were in the comics .

You know what's crazy , tello . You know what's crazy ? This it's crazy .

And that makes sense in that aspect where at least it feels like we know the characters before the movie came out yeah , and on , even on that second movie of miss of miss marvel , like that one , honestly I still say that one right , there was another one that could have just went to a netflix or disney plus .

They're just used to the mainstream .

Avengers , which is sad , but who don't appreciate those characters ? They're just used to the mainstream Avengers , which is sad but , you know , I was just

saying it's sad , but I was just gonna add on . But then again , are we even surprised , considering that two of the dudes that did the screenplay also did shit like Morbius , which definitely flopped . So I'm like the people that was working on this shit doesn't have the strongest uh track record for this sort of thing .

So I'm like I'm just not surprised it failed once , like I said to me , it didn't relatively fail like it did . It did what it was supposed to do . If you want it , it better . Yes , I say , go somewhere else . Morbius is another one that I , once again , I feel like it didn't fail .

So one thing in mind is that it did better as far as in views because it made into like the top 10 as far as like reviews on it . People still was like halfway questioning onto it , especially like , apparently , the ending of the movie . I still haven't seen this . I don't know yeah , but I mean so it did better .

Well , since I have an active netflix description , I might as well check it out exactly .

So it's like a little bit more into that aspect . So it's like it's already here , I guess , type of thing like how I was with the yu-u haka show uh , live action , no , I was like , oh , I'm gonna check it out since it's already on here .

With that being said , let's just go ahead and try to keep it moving , because we got a lot of more shit to cover right now and not a whole lot of time . So Kogiya's Rose of the Recapture , act 1 , has released a new character trailer featuring Catherine , voiced by Naotoyama .

That sounds interesting , I would say in that aspect . But what I think is happening is the fact that the whole Punchline character that they brought into the comics you really hated Punchline .

I remember that shit .

Here's the thing . It's not even that .

It just felt like it's just horrible writing in that aspect , even that or it's one of those things where not to give him too much credit , but just imagine if joker was so toxic where it's like he acts like he doesn't need Harley and then out of nowhere he's like Harley come back kind of like in the Suicide Squad movie

and there's always a thing that happens onto that and so it's like okay , so maybe they're just redoing this version of Harley to pretty much be like Punchline , because Punchline is scary , punchline is more serious and it's like it's hilarious in that name Punchline . So that's the only thing I could , I kind of assume into that .

Right , I'm gonna say it like it is . Hey look , I get it , I , I , I , I get it . We're . We're trying to get off the trope of toxicity because everybody you know everybody got relatively upset because of the whole Joker and Harley situation . That was a toxic relationship . We understand that . Now we get that , alright , cool .

And then sometimes you see certain movies come out and you're just like bro , if it's going to be this dog shit , you might as well have AI write the shit .
