¶ Kim Possible Review and Discussion
what's good , nerds . It's time for another review on the zone podcast . It's jet black extreme and I'm being joined by kokagatsu talos , gundam mirajane and hopefully we'll be joined by professor tuck too , but he's running late right now . But today's topic is Kim Possible . Without further ado , let's go ahead and zone in on it .
So , with Kim Possible a classic of course , and I figured , yeah , it's about time we talk about this show where you have this girl who go on these espionage missions trying to bust up the plans of these super villains and whatnot . And I was really digging it as a kid .
You know , like all these different situations that jim ron gets in with their naked mole , rat rufus and the man in the chair , wave , you got dr dragon , she go and the rogue gallery of these weird ass villains .
But I want to say for most part it was like an action sitcom , because most of them were like stand-alones where it's like , okay , you can have this episode , and it was like all contained in one episode , you know like lesson learned , blah , blah , blah .
But then there was some episodes that felt more canonical , more like okay , like the whole monkey fist thing , to where I'm like , okay , there's gonna be a whole arc about , uh , ron having like monkey food and whatnot , or , um , she go in her backstory and , yeah , like , for the most part , you had like some honestly with camp possible .
It was like the whole progressive movement . It was one of those examples . But done right to where it's like you know how , like strong female lead um and you have a male sidekick to where , yeah , he's kind of a goofball , he's kind of comically , but he's not completely incompetent . But you know , ron's a guy .
But yeah , overall , if I were to give the Impossible a rating , I would say 9 to 10 Out of 10 . Like it really depends on what I recall I'm like I remember there was something about the show that kind of makes it a 9 for me , but for the most part I would say a generous 10 but a solid 9 in my opinion .
But I'm going to open up to the panel how y'all feeling about Kim Possible .
First and foremost , I'm going to open up to the panel . How are y'all feeling about Kim Possible ? First and foremost , I'm going to go ahead and jump on and say wholeheartedly Kim Possible . Literally , even looking back at it , kim Possible was and still is a 5 out of 5 on my book . It was 5 out of 5 . And not going to lie , 5 out of 5 on my book .
It was 5 out of 5 . And not gonna lie . Not gonna lie . I did have a thing for Shigo .
See , that's the thing . I thought Shigo was cool but , I wasn't like you and Kokugatsu and all the others where I'm like yeah , shigo awakened something in me .
I'm like what the fuck .
Shigo set my standard . Sorry , shigo set my standard . Shigo set my standard .
I'm sorry . Look , look , look , shigo . Once again , I understand the whole thing . Yeah , you know , if you like Shigo , you toxic as hell . I get it , I'm toxic .
But listen , but listen hold on .
Hold on , hold on , skip . I don't want you saying nothing . You Shishomaru lover , you , shishomaru lover . I want every woman out there to know if y'all even love Shishomaru , even the slightest bit Fan fiction , because we know where y'all was on Wattpad , first of all , it was fanfictionnet originally .
Let's be clear here yes , and what awakened me was not Sashomaru it was definitely Yoko Kurama , okay , ooh .
But , and I do say , again .
But no , actually you know what that makes sense , because I'm thinking Fifty Shades of Grey and I'm like I can kind Of see it but look within that , same compliment , same concept Um , yes , um , she go had a place in my heart like Once again , I saw the characters not just for what they Were at the time , but how they were as they grew up , especially in
the Movie . The movie gave you better detail and it was like , yeah , it was like yeah .
I completely forgot . There was a movie like no , no , no , not the animated movie I'm talking about , like the live action . I was like whoa hold , on , they made a live action .
I mean , yeah , they made a live action .
But see , we talking about the animated , the anime movie .
The anime movie is this yeah . You know , I say again , I say again she go , she go , she go , yes , she For reals bro .
I'm a freak . I swear to God yes , you are , yes , you are .
First off , I'm not even going to just reveal everything , but just know there is a story out there . I'm not going to say who it's written by . Shego can do some things . I'm going on mute .

What's in the banana bowl ? No , that's the perfect time to go on mute . That's the perfect time to go on mute . That's the perfect time to go on mute . Impossible to me was a really awesome show . Obviously , yes , she go set a major standard for me , that is very obvious . Uh , without question .
But definitely also I would say I agree with the show being like a five out of five for me on today's . Here's the thing about it . But I have to add like this is one question I'm just curious about . So I had a thing , apparently for just girls who were spies , I don't know .
So I would have moments that I had a debate between switching on the Cartoon Network and watching Totally Spies , or going to Disney Channel and watching Kim Possible . So I would have to check to see if it was an episode I'd seen before , to see which one I was going to go for .
Look , I feel you on that . I feel you .
I feel that . So I was like damn which one , which one if I didn't watch . I'm like they both on at the same time . Y'all did this on purpose . Fuck you Cartoon Network and Disney . Not on purpose . Fuck the Cartoon Network at Disney . But , um , it don't have to be , it just happens . Uh , but no , for reals .
I was like Kim Possible is always great , ron I . We have a really great dynamic with them between the fact that we got Kim where everything is possible , the possible family , ron Stoppable .
And it's funny when you first , like first time you're introduced to Ron and like throughout the whole first season , ron deuce to ron , and like throughout the whole first season , ron's stoppable , pretty much to seem like he stops the progress of everything , but that's not what its family is .
You find out later on that no is is literally his family just ties in with the possible family of being able to stop bad guys . He's stoppable and stopping everything that's bad .
That from happening every single time that he wanted to knock him out the way it wound up actually being beneficial because things could have gone left where it's like oh , you stopped me from getting this back . You said I was almost about to get him and ron like tripped and wound up knocking over kim .
And then , in that moment of knocking over , all of a sudden kim doesn't fall into his booby trap , and so it's like I just want to throw out there that I heard that Ron Stoppable's name was supposed to be some sort of anagram or something like that for Unstoppable , so it's like Run Stoppable yeah , it is , I think .
So I'm going to have to look that up , but I could definitely see that for like Run Stoppable and Kim Possible . Well , that would be Kim would be like impossible . Well , then again , mission impossible .
So it makes sense , um oh , can we talk about how , with the origin story , how uh kim wasn't even supposed to be into all this . She was supposed to be a babysitter .
But the dude that called you know like they got stuck in that laser trap that they um that security system that they um had installed for themselves , and they were like , okay , call team , impossible . I'm like , all right , I'm gonna try to dial it with my foot .
And then I was like , oh shit , oh , I dialed the wrong person by mistake and I'm like what's this girl doing here ? I'm like what can't she do ? I was like , oh well , oh , she's nasty , she does , and she got us free . So I'm like , what can she do ? I was like , oh well , she's a nassie , she does , and she got a freezer .
I'm like oh well shit .
Well , you know it worked .
It was true .
Honestly , the other thing about it , too , is the fact that , like I'm sorry I forgot why I got down here in the first place , because it was like after the movie . That was when Team Impossible showed up trying to show Kim up .
And another thing I like about this show and I'm almost mad that they kind of sort of stopped doing this later on , like they still kind of do it , but it's like not as frequent .
This later on , like they still kind of do it , but it's like not as frequent , when , whenever , uh , kim Thor's one of Dr Dragon's plans and then he's like you think you're all that , but you're not . And then you have this one episode and he's like , oh , you think you're all that , but they are pretty much .
I like also the fact that , um , you can compare to me like dr dragon with doofenshmirtz from penis and fur , as far as the fact he's like incorporated . I'm sorry where it's like all of a sudden he's a goofball but he's a super genius that could just create these off the wall inventions that do stuff .
But then it's like you're doing evil but you really don't have to . It's like one of those things like , yeah , I'm going to do evil so I can do my life , dream and stuff , and it's like it's not really necessary .
It's more like he's a megalomaniac . That's pretty much . Not necessarily evil , just power-hungry .
Oh yeah . Otherwise , I really like the rogue gallery , the variation of rogue gallery in Kim Possible , in fact it's like it would take you back to the old school rogue gallery from Batman , where it's like you know , we got Condiment King , stuff like that , and you're like , oh , this is something silly .
But then you also have those ones that seem kind of silly , like pretty dangerous , like monkey fist in itself , like monkey face is just like , oh , okay , he has kung fu and he's like a monkey okay , it doesn't . It just seems a little silly and even like kim and ron , both thought it was real silly until all of a sudden you go up and fight against him .
You're like , oh no , he's actually a martial arts master . Hold on a second .
Like this is actually and then imagine having that michael jordan moment .
It's like and I took that personally- right and so literally it's like you get this rogue gallery that kind of has things that kind of work out well and it's like they they bring out different things for each of the characters and I really like that okay , can we also talk about how , with uh shigo and her brother's uh team go , they have a tower just like
no , no , just just this one detail .
They have a tower that literally like go , there's like that's a clear rip off of team titan . But I'm like , how does that even function ? Like at least with titan's tower ? You can kind of see it structurally speaking it kind of , but it's like a deep . You know what I'm done .
It's only for aesthetic purposes . Just how they drew it , that's all it was . Oh , you know , we don't talk about Shego's family .
Shego literally is a chosen villain and that's one of the best things about her Is the fact that how she doesn't have a villain origin story , that's like , oh , I was mistreated and I had all of this happen to me , or I was manipulated . No , she was born . She was born into a family that treated her well . She got superpowers with her brothers .
They all became heroes and they all admitted . The more they were fighting villains , the more she seemed to like the evil side , and they have no idea why . And even when you ask her , she just said it just seemed more fun . She literally is just that , that twisted villain .
Not even that though . Let me add this too . It's the fact that in the episode with her brothers , like they add , and they asked her , and they was like , hey , yo . And she was like I don't know why it seemed more fun .
But even with her brothers and stuff , she was like now I actually do realize why I was chosen the villainy , because once again they played on the older sibling , younger sibling situation and she was just like , oh , I'm so , I'm so tired of them , I can't stand them . It was like I love them , yes , I will defend them , but I can't stand them .
So , yeah , it was like yeah , we can see why you went evil , we see it .
Yeah it was just like one of those things like that's just her . Just imagine you hated something , you got so angry with somebody so much that you decided to be their arch nemesis , just because You're like well , damn , what did I do ? Do I need to look in the mirror ? Do I need to be the man in the mirror and re-evaluate myself ? What in the world ?
But no , for real though . I like our role of gallery , but no , for reals . I like a rogue gallery . I like how we get variation .
¶ Fandom, Favorite Characters, and Villains
Obviously , my all time favorite character , wade Wade , is the man with the plan , can't hack into anything can we talk about ? how , when he showed up in person and he was- like you thought I was just at a desk .
Yeah , he was like .
Oh , you thought that I was just at a desk . You thought he was like . Oh , you thought that I was just at a desk , you thought I wouldn't show up and visit , Like , oh , it's just a hologram . Oh , you thought I wouldn't show up in person . And boy showed up and showed out no , no , no .
You crashed my system , you made me fraud my system Like nah , and I took that personally . And then you know that's just a hologram . Then ways left to tell it's a ?
real deal that moment when you're like , oh , the person behind the desk is like you should never be afraid , they can't fight or nothing like that . No way showed up and he handled business and I was like that , right there you were already my favorite character way , but you definitely solidified that .
It made it even better that it was Todd Murray .
On the smart guy yeah , I was gonna say that he was voiced by the smart guy . I thought that joke was so great . I was like wow .
I'm like it kinda makes sense you know , um Skip .
What is your rating ? Um ? All of us gave one , but you did .
I definitely Give it the same . I definitely give it a Five out of five . You can't beat Kim . Possible and Plus . This was the first Time I was ever attracted to a female character . Kim did something for me and I was .
Not exactly aware of that one episode when Kim and Shego they like I don't know was like a pheromone or something like that , but it was like a tragedy .
Wait a minute , wait a minute .
But that part , when she was like her in that little black dress , I was like , oh , I think I might light redheads now .
It was even before the little black dress for me . It Before the little black dress for me . It was the tough girl . I love seeing her do the acrobatics . I was like , yes , I can call you mommy .
Yes , absolutely Like I said , that episode really made me just like God damn it . Do I want to stick with Shigo ? I love me some God , but at the same time , god damn it . Like , yes , that episode , though , though , when they got hit with that device and that device made it well , oh , all of a sudden .
Now they boy , boy . Yeah . Yes , dragon could not handle it . Dragon knows . Whole time I always kept playing the fact that he's like , yeah , she go . Oh , you know , I like she go . You know we always be alone . And all of a sudden Shigo's all over him . He's like I am in over my head , I don't know what I'm about to do .
That man was trying to press the save me button every time that man needed help help me somebody , anybody , please .
I would have destroyed that help me button . I'd be like can we talk about how ?

oh and uh fucking uh motor ed , who's also dragon's um , like when you think about it .

They had some dumb . They did have some dumb villains . We're not even going to agree on that . They had some dumb villains . Now I will say I can't remember the one , I can't remember that girl's name , the one that was a bully , the head cheerleader , that was just Bonnie , yeah , bonnie .
I mean hold on . I was like with Bonnie , I was like physically . I would be into it , but I couldn't stand that attitude . I was more like she would be the one girl where I'm like well , I'm with her as long as it's cool , but until I'm like , okay , nah , you can't go you bitch .
Nah , I couldn't , I couldn't even be with her .
She was the one who , when I found out for real that I was like you can look good , but if you got a bad attitude , looks don't mean a damn thing .
Is that what solidified that for you ? It was definitely Bonnie .
No , no , no . It was really more so , kim , but it was like I could kind of gloss over for like a few months until I'm like , okay , yeah .

Bonnie can miss these hands bro .
Bonnie never . Bonnie was never an attraction for me . That right there is . I don't care what nobody say . Y'all can say Shigo is toxic , bonnie is toxic , bonnie is toxic , I don't care , but no no , bonnie's that toxic .
That's like I want to be a hero but I'm a vet , but I just , but I act like a villain all the time , type of thing . Bakugo , that's who she is . Yeah , there we go .
Don't you just start with me , don't you dare ? No , she is not bakugou . She's nothing like Bakugou at all . There is no sympathy called here .
Bakugou was made to be a villain and they just changed it last minute .
I imagine Bakugou being like . He's literally like that one dude from you remember the one episode of the Boondocks where it was the Kung Fu Wolf bitch .
I forgot and then she was like man Wolf bitch I forgot , and then she was like man , this is cool .
Oh , my God , I came with you , but no , for reals , though . Oh , I couldn't stand Bonnie .
Bonnie was always after me . Bonnie looked like the type to crush your cell phone dead in your face and then be like but buy me a new one .

Didn't ? She did crush Kim's receiver at one point too , I think she did actually do that at one point .

My kids are just now watching my Hero Academia for the first time in the very motherfucking first episode is the fact , yes , he took Deku's book , burned it , then tossed it out the window while they were like three stories high . evil .
Can we talk about Evil Ron and how Evil Ron was a better villain than all the villains ?
Evil Ron was a fucking fantastic villain Like on some real shit , and it was like Ron , you're evil , and literally just the whole dying his body blue was just absolute nonsense . In a short period of time he had already built an evil lair and already had a device ready to explode the Earth in less than a day .
Drakken was so angry he was like how is he better than me ?
And then he was like oh , I don't make self-destruct buzzers because I'm not a fucking idiot and I'm like damn .
Remember that comment was the one that solidified Shigo . Shigo was like I don't know I might be switching sides now I think I'm playing for the wrong team . This guy right here , this is a real villain .
I'm like , hey man , look he fought so many bills . I'm like I will not make the same mistakes they did . I'm like I'm not fucking dumb .
He literally learned from experience , literally .
He had all the risks , like that was the most risk Run Stoppable had . Think about it , run Stoppable had .
It's easy Think about it Run Stoppable was only stopped because plot .
Pretty much . Pretty much , it was literally it . A device hit him and then all of a sudden he turned back to normal right before things went bad . Yeah , it was just plot , that was it . He was not even threatening to go through his plan . He was in the middle of going through his plan .
Draken usually just likes to wait , like I think they even did the whole thing with drake , where um shigo was getting mad at draken . He was like you already got it , just going to do it , he's like , but where's the flare you know you have to have , like someone trying to stop you and oh , like make your mind like I have presentation yeah , he's like .
that's what it means to be like a real super villain , you know type of thing . Ron didn't care , he was going through them , he was going through the plan . I was absolutely on business on that , that was no question . Now we obviously got to talk about our favorite pet of all time , rufus the naked mole rat . Yes , that's right , naked mole rat .
Tell me , why I wanted a naked mole rat .
I was like , because Rufus was that . Rufus was that G . I'm going to be honest , rufus was that G . I'm going to be honest , if I had to really put the best pets in cartoons , the top three , look . I'm going to be honest , yeah , scooby-doo , but only from very specifically .
I like Scooby-Doo from a pup named Scooby-Doo above all the other ones , just to be honest . So my top three is going to be a pup named Scooby-Doo I'm sorry , courage , you're in the top 10 , but you're not in the top three but a pup named Scooby-Doo , rufus . And my third one is Maz Dog from Lucha Lucha . They're my three top pets .

If you know about Wacky Races , then you know , then you know who Muttley from , if you know about Wacky Races , then you know who Muttley belongs to . We're also going to say Pup Dave , scooby-doo is still up there .
But and for me the only reason why Courage didn't make it because Courage is number four , courage didn't make it is because Rufus Rufus had his own fucking theme song .
Bruh , yes . That's the only fucking reason .
That's the only fucking reason . So yeah , Rufus had his own damn theme song . It was like I'm a king out here , bitch . Rufus had .
Rufus had theme song that was like I'm a king out here . Bitch Rufus had hoes .
Rufus had hoes , and not just any hoes , he had human hoes , bro . Like that's just what it was .
He was pulling them .
He was pulling them and it was like he's a naked . He's a naked mole rat . He seemed like he would be something . That , and that's what made it best too , is the fact that literally , a naked mole rat is marked as probably one of the most estranged and not good-looking pets that you can have , or like lower land pets .
And then I go to like I think the blubber fish is probably like even uglier , but literally is marked as a naked mole rat . Yeah and it's like , yeah and it's like , and still , at that point you'd be like you got . You took what was supposed to be an ugly creature and gave it all the riz , like on serena . I was like good lord .
But rufus was just that dude . Rufus got them out of jams literally was like , oh my goodness , we can't reach this . Oh , no , no , what are we going to do ? Oh , you know what we like playing Jak and Daxter . Oh , you know what we know exactly what to do here . So Rufus can get inside these vents . Rufus knows how to read .
There you go , he can fucking read . So he's able to know what's a start button , a stop button . He knows how to pull a lever , how to get you out of traps . But Rufus , was that for reals .
Dang . You bringing up all of that , and I'm like you ain't wrong . He was the best pet . Yes , that's why that .
Think about it like this You're talking about James Bond style gadget totem size and you don't really need a whole bunch of gadgets when you have Rufus . He's like a Swiss Army knife when it comes to shit like that .
Exactly . And Ron didn't even have to do much training for Rufus . Rufus just did it by himself . He wanted to help and then just became that dude Just straight up , became the best pet ever . He was just like bruh for real . It's like Rufus . You that dog bro , you that Nicky Mole rat bro .
We love you . One of his most infamous lines is I love the best . Ha ha , knocko A-1 . A-1 .
Look , I'm going to be honest with you . I don't think Ron came up with the , the knocko . I definitely think rufus came up with the knocko .
I'm just gonna be honest there , absolutely , and you know what he was gonna better than dynamite you know , keep in mind to this that episode when they didn't have rufus .
That was when it started getting real tough for them because , no matter what , they've gotten caught in traps all the time and the person who always saved them was Rufus Literally . Even Wade has acknowledged how helpful Rufus is and the fact that Rufus is the main reason that they got out of here . It's right there .
When they got rid of Rufus , when they put Rufus in the cage and he couldn't move , they was like , oh , we screwed , oh we screwed , they got Rufus . I don't know we gonna make it out of this . It's just absolutely dangerous .
I mean , unless dumb luck gets beyond their side .
Oh , pretty much . You know there's always gonna be plot device , but that was just the thing , though , that's how . So yeah , you know Ruf gonna be plot device , but like , that was just the thing , though , that's how . So yeah , you know rufus gonna have that .
But I prompt that theme song played so many times on disney because disney still does that thing now , where , like , part of their commercials is that they'll just put on a random musical number from a random show that they have . But nothing will ever .
Literally whenever that musical number popped on and you just heard the DJ ripping the disc that's right , it's Nicky Moran , yes , right , I didn't change the channel . I didn't care what other show I was watching at that moment . I was like I'm about to jam . This is my jam . Hold on a second Mm , mm .
Yeah , I definitely liked that one , but there was another one that also like um , the one where they had the talent show and kim had to be on stage and she sung a song that uh was going on for a while now and I kind of liked it . It was uh say the word .
Yeah but but yeah , so that was you know , I have to acknowledge Rufus . You can't talk about Kim Pops when I talk about Rufus .
Yeah , all right .
Oh man , Now the movie was very interesting . I liked how the movie had a good flow to it . It followed a very standard superhero pace . The hero's doing well . They got into an issue . They're starting to have internal problems with the team . The hero tries to go off the loans not doing as well . Then they finally reconcile and things get better .
The movie we got a chance to finally end with the longest thing . I think it was like four seasons before we finally got the movie , if I'm correct . But we waited forever for Ron and Kim to finally start dating . And it's like , bro , it's right there , Everybody wants it . We all know what you want to do . Just do it , for the love of God .
Just do it and then finally , I'm going to be honest with you . Crazy enough , I would have been cool without it .
I would have been too . It's just the fact that how much they kept egging on , it was like do you think it was going to happen ? Yes , nigga , we all knew it was going to happen .
I need to know why you would be cool without it , because that just shocked my whole system .
No , because it was a thing . That's just the whole thing
¶ Kim Possible
. The whole point was that it wouldn't even cool if for once , it broke the mold to where it's like , oh , there's going to be this will-they-or-won't-they thing , no , it's like they're just friends . There's no romantic tender , anything , they're just friends .
It doesn't always have to go down that road and I'm like , okay , I kind of like how they try to break that trope of that will they won't say , type thing . But at the same time I'm not saying that they wouldn't make a great couple . I would have said that , whether they did or didn't , I'm like I would have been cool with it .
But also , I think the main thing was a lot of folks were saying like , oh , Kim , friends on Ron , but more like I think Ron either friends on himself or he friends on Kim , because it's more like . And well , you know , I didn't want to complicate what we got going on .
I mean Ron did ask out Kim , and she said no , so that was a thing .
Y'all look at this from the romance aspect of shit that we was waiting on , that a lot of people I know were waiting on for the whole fucking time , was the fact that Ron became known as the motherfucking Monkey King .
That's the shit I was waiting on .
