¶ Analysis of Teen Titans Season 3
Ayo was good , everybody . It is part 3 of the Teen Titans review . We got Kogugatsu here and we're going to be going into season 3 now , so without further ado , let's go ahead and zone in on it Now .
Season 3 this is a pretty good season , but I would say the first season , of course , was good , but you know , as an introductory season it was , you know , half and half like not that series . Well , it got kind of serious near the end . Season 2 obviously it was more emotional , you know , with terror and all that .
But now we got season 3 where he's centered around cyborg and his complex of being half man , half machine and brother blood . Everything's very , very interested in his technology and let's just go ahead and get into the episodes . We got 13 , as per usual , so let's go ahead and get into . It .
Starts off with episode 1 , deception , where the Titans basically have cyborg go undercover as stone . Keep in mind that his real name is Victor Stone , so I like the little wink there . He goes to investigate the Hive's newest plan .
He finds out that new headmaster , brother blood , is now in charge of the academy and the plan has been compromised as cyborg gets a little fond of the popularity he was getting being amongst the students and he wants to be . He kind of yearns for going back to being human , even though he'll have like pseudo power , you know .
Because keep in mind that , yeah , he can transform into stone , that's supposedly his thing , but that's not something you can actually do , that's more like a what's up . You know , you that ring to appear as such , but not really .
But I like how they try to establish that cyborg and jinx has more of a connection to each other that gets more was getting a little jealous of stone , even though they already been rivals on a technological level .
So that little rivalry was there too , and even got to a point where the Titans were like hey , yo , so we here to get our boy back , but cyborg was like but I don't want to go back . But what are your thoughts on episode one ?
episode one was very interesting . So obviously the first off in understanding that season three does primarily get a chance to focus on some side board , but it's mostly scattered . It's pretty scattered . Um , this episode was very interesting in the fact that infiltrating the hive academy the first thing into his understanding that there is an academy for supervillains .
You know , that doesn't usually happen , like they're usually always an academy for superheroes . There's not really like a school for villains . Except I think it was like this one Netflix . I think it was a show on Netflix or Disney , whatever . I had watched it with my wife . It was pretty good . It was on Netflix . It's like school of good and evil .
We actually have like a school for the good , the heroes and school for the villains and stuff .
You usually see that played around like what happily never after academy or some shit like that for Disney , where they have like the Disney villains had that like their kids go to school for being the heroes and you go to school for being the villains and stuff like that .
But other than that , when it comes down for like actual , like Marvel , dc , there is no school for being the villain like at all . You're just like . You're just a villain , that's just what it is . You might work alongside and type of things .
You're not necessarily a sidekick , because even as a villain , most of the villains are like treat you like shit or anything like that . So understand that there is an academy . I mean , you can hear that and that's not much better like real shit .
But considering the fact there's like an academy for villains and these kids are actually treated somewhat well , like , yeah , you're still treated like if you're weak , you still get picked on and they they encourage that , unfortunately . But when you see in the show there's not much bullying that's actually going along here .
Like some of these villains are actually working together , like literally working together , like they actually do pick me up some stuff and it's like oh hey , you fell , I'm gonna laugh at you , but I'm gonna pick you up and help you along the way , and it feels different . And I think even for cyborg he was confused as hell on that too .
He's like it's a villain academy , everything's gonna be bad and da , da , da , da he goes in . He's like shit . This is just like regular school . Like wait a minute like . I'm confused . I was not . It's like it's not what you expect to happen . So it's like interesting .
And then , even though cyborg , of course , like it , you know how we already talked about the fact that he had to embrace his humanity , but by this point he had already fought two different villains , you know fix it and Atlas , who kept forcing him to embrace his mechanical side .
But he had to understand his human side really is important to try to help him move along into that .
Now he's at a point where he's so much embraced his human side that he's back again fully rejecting his mechanical side and even though he doesn't get turned into an actual human it's just pretend is , it's just like a hologram it still winds up being a weird thing for that and the fact that just looking at himself he's like this is how I would have looked if
I actually still have my normal human skin , then it makes him feel like really horrible and he's like damn . But then in that aspect he winds up building that relationship with gizmo and jinx and mammoth and it's like they actually build a respect and build an actual bond with him .
And this continues on , let much later on to the series too , because they bring it back up all the time . They're like man used to be with us , used to use to roll with us . Don't pretend like that that we didn't have like actual good friendship and so I thought what we ? had was special . It's real shit , though . But that's the thing , though .
Like he did when , when he infiltrated , he didn't he just expected to be kind of simple , be like oh okay , they're just gonna do some jobs and stuff , they don't actually get along , but then you don't realize . This episode makes you realize that , even though gizmo and jinx and mammoth like pick on each other all the time and shit , it doesn't .
It's literally just like kids picking on each other , but they're still having fun per se or they're still actually looking out for each other . And there's something that villains don't do , that shit .
And so it's very weird having because you always have these stories of villains that you relate to because like , oh , they had such a tragedy and they couldn't find a better option or shit like that , and that's not necessarily case here .
These are actually kids that's actually working together , like if they actually would just wanted to save the world , they could actually do that , like they could actually be heroes . They just choosing the freedom of doing whatever . That's just a thing .
I like how you make that point , because that's just the thing it's like , whether if they're heroes or villains . Teenagers well young people in general are like a blank slate . It's like they're still trying to figure each other out where their path can be changed . They still got time to change their path .
So if they decided to go on the hero path early , that's fine , but that doesn't mean that at some point they might turn out to be the villain later on . Or they could go to villain path at first , but they see the error in their ways and decide to be heroes .
So it can go either way , but especially with kids , to where it depends on how impressionable they are . In other words , it's like being a product of your environment , to where most times , people turn out to be the way they are based on how they were grown , brought up into the world .
So if you felt like you were fucked over by life and everything's unfair and essentially just keep getting fucked over , it really tests your character to see if you can just roll with the punches and hope for better .
Or you decide to go to your villain arc and be like , okay , the world want to fuck with me , so I'm gonna fuck with it back true , true , and that's not even the case for a lot of them is the fact that , like so , jinx is the only like .
Gizmo just chose to be villain . He just chose to be bad , cuz he's just no , that's just .
The thing is like for time being , it's like when they're young . It's like , okay , they decided to go on that path . But as we see later on , things can change . So for getting their credit is more like when they're young if they're more like a blank slate , more like they still have the option to change their course before to get too deep .
Because keep in mind , like it's kind of true , what they say is that once you get to a certain age , you just kind of stuck to a certain path , like you spent so much of your time dedicated to this one school of thought that once you see something that contradicts your whole school of thought , you're just like no , I'm way too deep into it .
Now it's like I commit to it . It be coming at that . Sometimes not always , but sometimes it's true , it's true .
I mean , sometimes it depends on how life has dealt with you , yeah , and what you dealt with life . So it's like kind of you see what happens , but yeah , and so then you have , like you know , jinx and not Jinx . You have like Gizmo or Mammon , who's just like they just chose to be bad , just fucking because .
But then you have Jinx , which one of us up , we get a chance to dive a little bit more into her character , where it's like she didn't choose to be bad , she was just . She was literally given super villain powers per se .
That's just one of those things like it's like a Mike , your academia things where some of the heroes well , not not just heroes , but villains too .
To where , like say , for instance , on that one guy , on Shinzo you know the dude that I have to hypnosis powers it's like they would say that he , oh yeah , he's built more like a villain , but he actually wants to be a hero . Meanwhile , with Toga it's like , yes , he's a villain , but that's mainly because we're a power . She was being fridge .
There was like this prejudice , there's like she was just . They just feel like she was just built to be a villain and therefore she was convinced that being a villain is her was right yeah and that's sometime that's where it becomes like really crazy , into that's like Jinx's ability is it's her name .
Like Jinx , she gives things bad luck and it's like , yeah , that's like what is that opposite of Domino from Marvel ? Like Domino has all the ultimate luck for herself and that's what makes her the best , one of the best heroes . Like no matter what , she damn near cannot be killed because she has good luck on her side well , it's more than good luck .
It's more like she's an agent of probability to where she has . It's true in the technical term is that she can manipulate probability , but it's more like she has version of the millennium puzzle .
That's what it is right so , in other words , she can protect herself using probability to where she can keep herself safe and provide good luck to herself and to the people around her , but there's this Domino that , of course , where it might create bad luck for people around her as well .
So , in other words , like it could be , it's like a shade of gray with her powers it is and so .
But Jinx is just like oh , my ability is to give bad luck and like that's one of the things about it's like yeah
¶ Red X and New Storylines Discussion
, like straight up . Bad luck just how do you make that a hero power ? Like this is like how does it ? It's like what was it that one girl from ? I'm gonna just go back my hair after Damien . Quick reference I got it , I got that game's powers based on blood , like she drinks the people's blood so good how do you become a hero ?
yeah , but no , no , no , I got it , I got it , I got it . Think about it . She could be the ultimate foil to every villains plan . She just need to be near the villain and be like , oops , look like your best laid plan just got ruined . I wonder what , how that happened .
I mean thank you , and . But the thing about is what makes it , is what makes her ability Mormon , the fact that how she can actually be a hero .
The only thing that actually makes it that is that , unlike Domino , who just has to manipulation , just by being there yeah , that just kind of happens Jinx is able to send the bad luck away , like you'll see it in the show , where she sends like waves of bad luck and she literally , it literally sends like a shockwave , and sometimes a shockwave can actually be
a shockwave that can knock someone back or just affects what it touches and stuff . So she can control where she sends the bad luck to , and that's the only thing that allows her to be able to become a hero per se .
But then that was it being something that we really dive into Jinx , into this , that she's here at the Hyde Academy not because she really wants to be , but because she feels there's nothing else that she can do . And Cyborg has that moment of relation with her .
He's like damn , hold on , you're not a villain by choice , you're not like these other ass hats here .
It's like , basically , you're a product of your environment and a bit of your own circumstances .
Exactly , and so , and now we wind up getting a chance to tune into Cyborg and Jinx . Do not Google Cyborg and Jinx . You will find yourself on new ground watching .
Bro , I feel like when they actually made those videos I was like hey yo .
Watching a fan made video that I have probably seen way many more times than I should have . But anyway , don't Google it . Don't Google it , children , don't do it . Anyway , oh , but yeah . So we wound up building that this now new love .
Well , this new yeah , pretty much relationship between Cyborg and Jinx starts at this moment and then , of course , this whole episode ends where Brother Blood pretty much already knew that Cyborg was a hologram anyway and was like bro , I already knew who the fuck you were . This whole time I just let you just ride here Because I was like we'll see what happens .
I'm curious to see . And now that you've had to experience my Academy , you actually want to be here , don't you ?
Yeah , it was more like not only did , he was like OK , I did not expect you to actually want to be here , so I'm not the role of that . But even after Cyborg left , he pulled a Emperor Palpatine and was like I'm going to have great interest in your future from now on .
Yeah , and very scarily in that too , Like uh , but for real though , and so I want to be in a really good starting episode . Unlike the last season , where the first episode did a really good start in like as a foreshadowing of how the season was going to be , this one does . This episode does not do that .
This episode is not a foreshadowing whatsoever for this season at all . It's just pretty much another episode , but as one that starts up a new storyline , one that we're not expecting for . You know we get back to the Hive Academy .
We know the Hive five we're going to see them pretty frequently throughout the show is the opposing group to the Teen Titans , Like it's the . Every team has it . The Avengers has various different groups of enemies that they always fight . The Justice League has the anti-Justice League for the .
Villain , the Legion of .
Doom , the Legion of Doom , league of Villains , all that type of shit . So it's like this is their opposing group , this is the Teen Titans opposing group .
So we're going to see the Hive five a lot more , but then this is the first time we get a chance to actually dive into the lives of the villains but at the same time , getting a chance of seeing a whole new storyline taking place . Slade is finally dead , so we need another new big bad , and Brother Blood is very obvious .
He's going to be taking on the mantle of the new big bad villain for the rest of this season and next season . So , other than that , that's the only foreshadowing that we have , but not so much into it .
Yeah , I was like not so much season for it . I think you kind of like phase out until season five and he'll make a brief appearance , like he'll just be one of the villains , but like after season three is like , yeah , I'm just going to .
Yeah , but yeah , that's the only thing . It's a foreshadowing for a significant into the future , Not immediate and not immediate enough to really have to make a point onto it . That's why it's like this episode did not serve as a question for the season whatsoever .
It's just keep him in mind , We'll come back to him per se and it's like OK , and then we move on to episode two . We completely forgot about Hive Academy at this point and it's like it's gone now . So I'm like OK , I guess .
Now episode two the question that , no matter what , when the series ended and they actually still made a continual on the continuation in the comics as well , as also had they did do a reference of it in Young Justice as well too , no matter what , we still do not know who the new red X is . And that's kind of the point too .
It's like the mystery behind is what makes him so interesting to wear . Yeah , he's a cool character with the gadgets and whatnot , but the fact that we don't know his real identity is what makes him so interesting as a person is .
But we're trying to figure out who this person is and especially with how , in this version of Red X , in this show is like yeah , he's more like a rebel . He just want to do whatever the fuck he wants . He's not really being a villain , nor he's a hero . It just you know he just using the suit to do whatever the fuck he wants .
And also at least this dude like he's way more bold when it comes to flirting with Starfire . So , robin , you better step your game up around this .
Robin really going to have to be mindful . Now , this episode had one major interest for me onto it . So we get introduced to the new . Get introduced to Red X again . But we understand he's a different person behind the mask .
The team automatically goes to Robin and starts pinching him and all types of shit and they're like yo , it's me , and they're like I don't know . Last time Red X showed up he was a hologram , nick .
Like we still remember that scene where it looked like Robin was being attacked and on while I'm getting trapped into an energy net and he's like we're fine , get X go . And everyone runs after Red X to go try to find him and leave Robin behind because he said to do so . But then they find the little hologram over that .
It wasn't real and you're like I don't know , bro , last time you was a hologram . I can't trust it . You might have upped your technology this time and you still playing for the other team and it's like Cyborg . You really can't be doing this . And like when I went to the Academy , I went to the Academy specifically for the mission .
Things worked out differently into that . You did this on your own , don't try it , but no , so we get introduced to new Red X , but then we want to get introduced to something different .
We get introduced to a new power source , a forbidden power source , one that specifically used the power of the Red X costume , and this increases even more doubt into Robin from everybody , because they're like you could have powered this suit with anything , but you powered it with literally a mini nuke , that is what I like .
I like how , when they found out that , well , beast Boy was the only one that didn't know , but Cyborg just blew a gasket . It was like Xenotheum you powered that suit with Xenotheum .
Xenotheum and even Starfire , and a whole different galaxy knows what Xenotheum is and knows that that shit is beyond dangerous and it's like , bro , what the fuck is wrong with you . Not only did you go behind our backs and do some do shit like this to infiltrate the slave . On top of that , you powered it with one of the most dangerous shits in existence .
I like how with this Red X suit . It's like you know how Tony Stark in the Marvel universe he powered . He made a brand new element just to be able to power the Iron man suit and , even though this didn't come out to this , showcased my way before the Iron man movie . I'm just saying that in a sense Robin was like hold my beer , I got something .
What if we made a suit powered by Xenotheum ?
Exactly . So understanding really quick , they did wind up actually having a brief description of it on the Teen Titans Wiki . That's something just to kind of mention into this .
Ok , so Xenotheum is extremely rare in dangerous compounds , so dangerous that even reputable members of the superhuman community like Robin are unable to buy it legally Meaning Robin definitely did this shit very illegally . It is very unstable and quite volatile , but this instability makes it highly susceptible as a high output power source .
However , Xenotheum appears to not be radioactive , since several characters were seen handling it without the protection of a radiation suit . So it does suggest that its molecular structure gradually breaks down as it releases energy .
Pretty much radioactive decay , Though more in the chemical rather than energetic way , still is extremely hazardous material and the only safe way to dispose of it is to let it decay . Naturally , you literally cannot destroy it . It has to destroy itself . That is the only safe way to dispose of it . You have to let it destroy itself .
If you try to speed up the process , it is fucking dangerous . It's literally like imagine Superman decided to power his suit with fucking green kryptonite . Like he decided to put on a power suit and powered it with green kryptonite , or even no worse than that . No , Lex Lex who did , because Lex Luthor did that shit .
He made his super suit to fight against Superman and he powered it with green kryptonite and the shit gave him immense amount of cancer . Even though the no theorem is not radioactive , so it won't necessarily give you cancer , it's still very unstable and can still really do a lot of damage to your physical person as well as people around you .
And Robin just up and just did this shit . He just went and got something , illegally at that . This is really set a whole new low , an entirely new low for Robin . Like I said , like I mentioned in our previous episode , Batman will never do shit like this . You know what's funny ?
Like Batman will find ways to get stuff but he will not touch shit illegally , bro . What's funny about this is that , even though this is just my head can and like .
I mean there's no way this is gonna happen . But this is more like a what if scenario . I know I'm jumping ahead , but you know Red Star in a later , later on in the series . Hmm , what if this dude was red X like , not exactly , but more like what if he had to know the ammonia ?
Because I think his deal is that , because he's like a living nuke himself , it shouldn't affect him that much because he is radiation .
But we keep in mind into that aspect . He would be able to power the suit himself . He wouldn't have to go and hunt down some of them true . So that's kind of only thing into that one , but also just really says a lot too . How much did this person know about Robin ? That's the only other thing about yeah . How much do you first know about Robin ?
Because I'm pretty sure Robin didn't just leave instructions around for the suit To say , oh was powered by Zinotheum , so how would this person know that ? And then keep in mind onto this too , he put on the suit and when he fought against the Titans he very , very easily knew how to do all of the gadgets in there .
¶ Speculating on Red X and Fun
Like . This is one of those cases where I honestly thought was like a red hood type situation . Yeah , like maybe it was another Robin . I Mean , I would not put a task , damien , to do some shit like this .
You remember when Beast Boy had the whole Whiteboard and he was making up all types of theories of who Red X could be and one of the cases was Jason Todd , even though there was like wait , maybe , like they didn't even talk about this dude at all Previously . So I was like how do you even speculate ?
It could have been Jason Todd , like that's just my thing .
But that's the thing is , like it would make sense if it was , because With Jason Todd it's like he's more like that rebel type dude and his well , even though red X suit looks completely Different , but in a sense it's almost like that same vibe going on to where you know he , it's almost like he's playing neither hero nor villain , it's like he just does what
he wants and does what's necessary .
Yeah , true , so it's one of those things that's like and , like you also said too , it makes it great that he's mystery , like we don't know who he is , so it leaves so much speculation . So far , the most people conclude that it's either one of two things we're either just never gonna know who he is , which is probably gonna want to be in for the best .
Anyway , if we ever find out who he is , it will create an entirely new story , which , I mean , we probably wouldn't mind , but it's not necessary . It's usually nice to have a villain we have no idea what you've , or anti hero that we have no idea who he is . We could just like . Leave it for me as it is .
The other thing that speculation is that because we're still keeping in mind that Teen Titans is technically a different , that this version of Teen Titans is Very different from comic book canon , very different From a lot of different universes , a completely different universe in itself .
So if we keep that particular aspect in mind , that there's a possibility that this red X could be Jason Todd , it could be reddit , it could be the Instead of going to red hood he went for red X , since it was already there . But that's the only speculations we have . We just kind of just leave it as that .
It's the great mystery to unfold and honestly , I can't really think of too many other shows that can do this , that or has done this , that has actually Created a villain , that we have no idea anything about this villain , that this villain just pops in and out , but every single time this villain shows up it's it's about to be some shit , because this villain
is good . This person is good at taking down a tight , even being grouped up . He's very good at taking down the Titans .
Uh-huh , I hate the Bursha bubble , but I'm just looking up new information to where there he actually has an identity . But this is in the comics , by the way .
Okay , it makes his mainstream DC debut in a two-issue teaser comic , future state , teen Titans and his follow-up series , teen Titans Academy , where he is presented as a renegade student of Titans Academy and will be responsible for the future downfall of the teen Revealed as a meta human with electromagnetic powers named Rick Petri Rosso , petty Rosso , yeah .
And the legacy of this red ex is also explored with his unknown circuit father . A mercenary thief , much like the anime version , who stole dick grates . His red ex suit as revenge for foiling his plans and Other shit goes along with him . So they actually established that he it's not a secret . It's not a secret anymore .
Okay , but oh no , that's comics . It's different from the show .
Yeah so in the show , yeah , he never revealed the secret , and that's for the best . But in the comics we got a better idea who this guy is .
Yeah , brick .
I mean nothing wrong with the name , it just just didn't expect it , though it's like yeah , well , we're gonna stick with , just to show itself .
We don't know who you . There we go .
All right , I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that .
But then we do get introduced the actual villain . The person who is making is an oathium dr , change , change .
Yeah , so he's one actually doing this and for a brief moment we wanted to have a nice little team up of robbing the red ex working together to go ahead and bring him down , so that , you know , and of course red ex gets away with some Zenoteum to continue the power to suit .
Robin just said that whatever he , he worked with us , we can just kind of let it slide and I'm sitting here like Robin , what the fuck . Let's run with you , man , but whatever , I guess oh .
I'm sorry . Can I also mention that I was gonna leave it alone . But how about in the comics after red ex was revealed ? Brick believes that Dick Grayson , robin , is to be his father , as told by red ex , to only be killed by his surrogate . Before tell him what away and leaving him to die in Grace's arm , I was like what the fuck ?
Okay , yeah , why you was telling me that I actually I found that little comic strip because you can find a little snip people have . They'll upload it , various different photos of the comic strips online and stuff . Yeah , I wanted to see me . Yeah , he got stabbed in the front . They got stabbed in the front dude , just straight up , just like shake his ass .
I was like what's up ? Anyway , you can read the comic . Yeah , it is out now . You actually can find it in the comic book store . I don't know what issue , it is or anything , but you can find it .
Oh hey , can I also Mention one other thing , like I know it's completely unrelated , but it was something that I was mean to tell you for a while back in season two .
You remember when the transformation episode with starfire , there was this chrysalis eater and it was called a Seronelian chrysalis eater , but , funny enough , there's a writer for the show called serial Nelly . So I'm thinking like that must be like a little joke to where ? Oh , let's just name it after one of the writers .
But in this season , even though we have a Character named professor Chang , funny enough , one of the writers is named Michael Chang . Directed , no , my bad , not written . Directed , my bad .
Okay , that's pretty interesting .
Yeah .
I Mean hey , that's pretty awesome . Maybe , you know , add a little bit of yourself into the show , as you're doing , so I mean , it makes it personal .
Oh , another one um that one alien . So so that was before he does another um director for the Series , alex , so too . So I'm like , okay , yeah , I'm making it pretty obvious , I'll just insert yourself into this .
I mean , every episode has a different writer and different director .
Yeah .
I mean some , some , some of them , some writers and directors will have multiple episodes , but like that , there's not one direct , one writer , one director for every single episode . That's always the same as stuff like they do have multiple people working on it . That's how .
Like that's how they wind up getting out multiple episodes out , like how they able to do an episode a week Because the fact that they have that I mean , I'm not even mad at it , I just think it's a funny coincidence . I think it's pretty cool though , like getting a chance , like I said , to input and put yourself a little bit into it .
That way you wind up .
It makes it personal , which makes it really good , because it's something that you're so disassociated from you're not gonna care , but if you make it personal a lot of times , you're gonna put your best into it , because you're putting yourself into it literally Right and so , all right , now for time's sake , we're gonna just go ahead and move forward To the next
one . Rick Redex is a very fun character to really talk about and Also is very fun to be able to talk about all these references that the writers are able to put themselves or , you know , directors able to put themselves into it . The next episode was one very quickly that we just can talk about very quickly .
I did reference this already from a previous episode , where you know we wound up talking about how black , how black fire , what was it like for us up out of black ?
No , it was black fire who wanted mentioning about bought like a big girl will slime and shit , and I was like that's a great foreshadowing for this particular episode , where now Starfire gets called back to her homeland because she needs to actually go , because she's a betrothed princess who has .
Now it's time for her to get married , and the person arranging all of this is , of course , black fire Now the grand ruler . I don't even know how the hell she did that . She was removed from the throne . Well , she was removed from being able to become a ruler because of the shit she did .
But then she shows up and then she's able to just to take control , I don't know . And then we kind of get understated and I was able to do that .
There was also something else I noticed when we were talking about date with destiny . Yeah , that episode came out on Valentine's Day Back in . Yeah , but with this episode , yeah , yeah , I mean that was not planned , or say no , I mean I'm not mad , I mean it is my birthday , so I thought it was kind of good .
I mean it's like yeah , I see what you mean , but I'm saying hey , yo , I'm not even . I wasn't even thinking up there . I was thinking that , hey , yo , he's the premiered on my birthday . Yeah , now you went to get so far like , oh , we're on different way . Okay , got you .
It's an episode we're going back again because we talked about this before 914 title from a previous episode , from another thing we wanted to talk about , where you know having arranged marriages , being arranged to marry someone that you're obviously not in love with for profitable , profitable games , or , you know , for games of your , your people and stuff , and so
it's like , yeah , I don't know about having this particular episode , but then of course , we find out it's all just a place set up from Blackfire , the patrol , though it has nothing to do about Tamaramp , hold on .
Hold on . Honestly , I would say I would be more cool with political marriages if it was like okay , we don't really know each other , but we just end up clicking anyway . So it's like , even if it was based on political Premises , I mean , we actually Like each other naturally , so it's like it's actually okay . Now . See , that would be great .
¶ Political Marriages and Beast Boy's Abilities
But usually political marriages is Depicted at these things to where you know you're really doing it for other people , for your kingdom or whatever . You don't really care for the other person , the other person don't really care for you . That's why I kind of don't like to where they just make it look like it's all bad .
We were like nobody should subject themselves to a political marriage , but sometimes it may surprise you the way you you may never know if you might actually like that person and then it's like , okay , yeah , it's like it was arranged , but we like each other naturally , so we don't like to think of it like that . It's I don't know .
That's what I'm saying is I just don't like the trope of it to where it's like it's supposed to look bad . I .
Mean . There are some times where the arranges work out well . That's one of the reasons why For most arranged marriages is never on the spot .
It's generally Planned out using events , and the reason for that is so that way To get them to kind of grow up with each other , to already to begin to understand each other before they begin , before they get married , so they have an understanding , have a way of being able to work things out because , like you've been childhood friends , because most people want
to marry their childhood friend . So whenever they arrange a marriage they purposely make them like childhood friends . It's just that a lot of times it doesn't . There are many times it doesn't always work out the best , because you can grow up with a person . That doesn't mean you're always going to like them . That's not how that always works out .
Right , it's like they can turn out to be a totally different person to where you used to . It's where it's like , yeah , we were cool back in the day , but now it's like I don't even know you anymore .
Exactly , some things change , man . That's just how some shit happens . But yeah , but of course we understand that the marriage was being employed from Blackfyre . It was not actually beneficial to Temuran whatsoever . In fact , it was going to let Gurgle-Squatch's people completely take over Temuran .
Yeah , it's just going to let them completely take over Temuran , and the people would have just been literally turning into slaves . So it was just Blackfyre again one-upping for herself and that's all it was , and luckily the Titans were there to turn things back around this also .
What I like about this episode is that Beast Boy has a brief moment where it's actually some people were able to ask a lot of questions . I actually seen this question come up on Reddit a lot of times , because everyone questions is like is Beast Boy only limited to be able to turn into animals that he's seen , or just turning animals on just this planet ?
And it actually has been proven both in the comics as well as the show and in various different other TV series as well too , is that Beast Boy is not limited , like he can only turn into other animals , like other mammal type creatures , mostly like mammals , but he can also turn into reptiles and amphibians and stuff too , but as long as it's someone from the
animal kingdom , but he is not limited to just what's on earth he can actually . He can turn into an actual hell hound . He's actually done that as well too . He can turn into demonic animals . He can turn into angelic animals . He can turn into animals from other planets and other realities as well , too .
He has actually turned into a dragon , like an actual mythical dragon that did not exist on I think it was one comic that there were no . Dragons had never existed in that comics whatsoever . You know , even though we've seen with the mother ones , they have been this particular world .
There was none whatsoever , and Beast Boy was still able to turn into a dragon .
Listen , if Beast Boy gets to a point to where , bro , I have so much fucking potential , I'm really feeling myself Like this dude would be so broken , though it's like because you're thinking , okay , you're foreshadowing too hit .
We ain't got to that season yet . I know , I'm just saying , though ?
I'm just saying it's like to be fair , it's like if this dude really knew the real , the full scope of his abilities . Based on this episode , I'm like , bro , I'm not the one to fuck with .
And that's one of the scariest things . So the thing about it is this is that Beast Boy is literally one of the most broken superheroes out there and that's also the unfortunate where there's no , there's not a canon that beast .
This Teen Titan show is the only canon where Beast Boy actually grows old , because we got a chance to see that glimpse into the future in last season on with Dr Bright . But the thing about it is is that , no matter this is the only channel that Beast Boy actually gets older .
Every other Beast Boy literally young justice in the comics and everything like that he always gets killed before he becomes an adult .
He never makes it out of hey hey , hey , this sounds outrageous only because it just gives me Darwin vibes . Now , because you're thinking , the one dude with the most broken abilities gets killed up early .
Yes , always , but the thing about it is that Darwin looked Darwin from the beginning . We've already talked about this .
I know , I know I'm going to keep talking about it until we do their review and then I'm going to leave it alone , someone who adapts .
How you kill someone whose ability is to adapt ? That has been proven in canon , that he adapted to death , to becoming a god of death , because he adapted to death itself . Like anyway , anyway , just fucking dumb , right or shit Anyway can I just throw in one more thing ?
Imagine if Beast Boy was in the Ben 10 universe .
Bruh , like not honest Beast Boy , would be the most , like one of the absolute best heroes in that universe . I'm telling you , I'm telling you , whereas Ben is able to turn into every single like humanoid alien , or pretty much main alien from every world , beast Boy turns into every animal from all of those same worlds as well .
Bruh , that would be an unstoppable duo . Like Ben , 10,000 plus Beast Boy .
Double green baby Double green .
Exactly , bruh like that's an unstoppable duo right there , like absolutely unstoppable duo , but anyway we're going to do that Ben 10 review soon .
ladies and gentlemen , believe that .
Okay , but definitely for this episode of it . Yeah , just we get that one brief moment for Beast Boy where he's actually able to understand that he can transform into any animal at all , even ones that don't really exist . If he can think it and it is part of the animal kingdom , he literally can turn into it .
And it's crazy , bruh Like his ability is hella broken because when he transforms he gains all the powers of what it is . He turned into a dragon and was able to breathe fire . They can do some shit .
That's what you're saying , Like with all these alien animals , with all these abilities that normal animals on earth don't do . It's like he just brings a lot of things into question .
It does and it really really brings in how much power he actually has . Unfortunately , the biggest issue that Beast Boy has is his upbringing . Because of all the shit that he dealt with the fact that he had cancer and technically still kind of fighting it , Like the cure for his cancer is what turned him into Beast Boy .
But the problem is we do find out in some iterations the cancer was actually never cured . So it's a big struggle into that . And so when you keep that into mind that he's still technically dying as he's living and unfortunately , like I said , I mean , you know what ?
I'm saying Look , man , as soon as you said that the only thing I could think about is it doesn't even matter , Like that song literally ran into my head . As soon as you said , y'all , I'm like dammit bruh .
If you want me to tell you , I was like , aren't we all though ?
Yeah , oh man . Resting peace bruh . Oh , but for real , though , it's a really big thing . I understand that Beast Boy is literally immensely broken . He sucks , that he never makes it , that he never makes it out of teenager . It's like I want there to be a cannon outside of where he grows up to be as fucking circus freak .
I want there to be a cannon that he actually becomes an adult hero . That would be . I really think he deserves that .
Like you know , I see every iteration of Beast Boy is always like it's genuinely good , even when he had at one moment where he completely broke down and was just like I'm constantly good to everybody else and I'm always being treated like a shitty little boy and I'm fucking hate that .
And he winds up having a brief moment where he just kind of like mentally loses it . It didn't stop him from being a hero . He'd still care for people .
Bruh , and can I just say that with Beast Boy , like when I saw the later seasons of Young Justice , I was like bro . This dude got stone cold on him when he got injured and shit , I was like shit .
Love man . But we're gonna get to that Next episode crash . This was a fun episode . This was just a fun episode . Beast Boy was up . He was messing up the team to Titans TV playing this video game and he decides he wants to go play . He still wants to go play .
He's like I know Cyborg has to have a TV in his room Wands up going to the charging station , forces the plug of the game console into the charging station and unleashes this extremely crazy ass virus that Wands up taking over Cyborg and all of Cyborg's equipment and just call out a nonsense .
This was a funny episode , not gonna lie , the way he was just running around trying to eat anything that he sees as food .
Jacking up his whole system inside . It was just crazy as hell .
It was like watching Chowder , but with half man , half machine .
Yeah , this episode was about some being those things like . This one was episode that kind of teaches you don't go fuck with the people . Ask first what the hell is wrong with you when you're in the cyborg room , just like I'm just gonna touch it and you don't know what you're touching , like just please chill out . Now .
The next episode , episode five , is one I really wanted to get a chance to talk a little bit about haunted , so this one right here . There's two parts of main focus for me into this whole episode . First thing I understand is this Robin has hella PTSD . We already know this , but this is where it becomes extremely apparent , Literally .
And also , Slade is just a dick . This nigga went to scarecrow , got a special fear toxin and hit it inside of his mask . So if anyone was to touch his mask they would continue to see images of him attacking him over and over again . What the fuck man ?
You're sloppy Robin . You always were .
Oh my god , this episode is insane as shit . So and then . So the first thing into this is that , yeah , like really Slade scarecrow fear , toxin bullshit and you , oh , I hate you and in disguise it is dust , anyway . But it's also one of those things where Robin , because you can tell he frequently goes to humble himself , he goes to .
I know what I saw .
Yeah , but no , batman , like Batman , does this to where a lot of Batman has explained this as well that he has momentums of a lot of his missions .
You know is well known for the back cave to have , like the giant penny coin , the giant dinosaur , where each of those is like one being like his very first villain that he ever took down and one the first time that he was not able to save someone's life , where he realized that he can't save everybody .
He will try his best , but he has to understand that he can't save everyone .
So , like father , like son , they just have some moments that little brim free in their heads .
Pretty much , pretty much . And so Robin , he frequently does same
¶ Understanding Mental Illness and the Mind's Power
thing . Batman , like Batman , makes his whole cave as him , humbling himself Every single time he goes in there . I humble myself in my cave as I do my bat stuff , like with Robin .
Teen Titans have a trophy room per se of all the villains they take down , but Robin doesn't think of it as much as a trophy as he goes to humble himself of every single time that they face together , that they face these villains , and remind himself of what , why it is that he is the hero , why it is he does what he does .
And it's just that moment of weakness , because a lot of times humbling yourself is not a weakness , but if you're not humbling yourself properly , it can be a weakness . It's one of those things of understanding yourself , understanding what your weak points are and what your strengths are . And throughout this episode , robin does not understand .
He does not understand what his true weakness is , and that's where this fear is able to hit him extremely hard . And throughout the whole , throughout literally almost the entire episode , everyone thinks Robin is crazy . They're like , bruh , you need to take a chill , like something's wrong with you , and then like , and he's literally freaking out , yell at Starfire .
He's like Slade ran right past you and Starfire is telling him like there was nobody there . What the fuck are you talking about ? And it's like it's like we're fighting a ghost . What's wrong with you ? And it wasn't until what was it ? They're trying to find him . Yeah , they're trying to find him .
Some of us were back three and they were shining a light on him and while Slade , while it looked like Robin was actually fighting Slade , they shine the light on him and it was like he was literally beating himself up .
Exactly , I was like , bro , like okay , the Oscar goes to know , but this is also where I was one of the biggest points into this way A lot of times . This is actually a real thing . They have tested it and it actually is real . The human brain is extremely strong on the body . It controls all of your nerves .
It controls your blood flow , like everything in your body functions because your brain tells it to function . So literally , there have been some times where some people have woken up out there asleep with bruises on them , like they've been beaten up . And a lot of times .
And there are some cases where some people want to hurt themselves , but there's actual footage of people just like Robin , where they feel like they're getting hit , they feel like they're getting strangled and choked and what winds up happening is that there's nothing happening to them , like they've recorded them for hours , like all throughout their night , and nothing is
physically happening to them . But they wake up and they have these scars , these lesions , these bruises on them , as though something really did happen to them . And that's literally how strong the human mind is .
Is that the brain can shut down parts of your body and make it bruise up , and make it feel and can tell your nerves that something has happened , that when nothing in fact actually has . And that is a real thing .
And there's a lot of and it's really tax on more to mental illnesses as well , too , where it's still a big thing , where a lot of people have various mental , I know , but a lot of people with various mental illnesses are looked down upon , and it's like you're making this up .
It's all in your head , unfortunately , it is true , but there's not shit that many of them could do about this , like you can have medication to take it and stuff , but real talk , there's a lot of shit they can't control .
This shit really happens , and then this moment of like schizophrenia where you're seeing things that aren't actually there but your brain makes you think that that shit is really there and it affects you as though it is really there , and that's one of the things that winds up happening to Robin .
And so it wasn't until , like , raven jumped into Robin's mind and this is where it becomes most effective . Into this , everyone , including Raven , thinks that Robin is crazy .
Until she jumps into his mind , until she's actually able to see things and feel things the way that he is , and then it was at that moment that she's like he is actually fighting Slade , like he's actually fighting in his own brain , and then that's when they finally dissect not really dissect him , but they finally you know , the sideboard runs the scan and they
find out that it is , it was a being like nanomachines inside of him that winds up affecting Robin's mental psyche . That made him feel as though he was actually fighting and seeing Slade . But he wasn't . It was just fucking scarecrow .
And that's one of the scariest things about scarecrow to what makes him such a strong villain is the fact that literally the only thing that limits scarecrow is his technology . If he hadn't been more access to technology , scarecrow would literally be one of the scariest villains , and I will attest to that .
And I would say the video game Gotham Knight yeah , arkham .
Knight yeah Arkham .
Knight . Yeah , because I haven't played Gotham Knights yet , my bad .
But yeah , but in .
Arkham Knight . That's one of the things of why it was so scary in the aspect of the fact that literally , his fear toxin makes you feel like he takes on the fact of any mental illness that she wants to give you . He can give you depression , even if you've never had it .
He can give you schizophrenia and that shit will fucking affect you forever , like it will never go away . Even if they got rid of it , it still affects you and that's one of the things that Slade winds up taking it on to in this aspect where he puts that shit there and it affects Robin in the worst way possible . But it's one of those .
Also those aspects of don't don't sleep on people who got mental illnesses help them .
Yeah , like people need help , and it's one of those things is like sometimes you don't have to like do something yourself , because there are some people , unfortunately , who suffer so heavily and they are a danger to themselves and to others and that's what you need to let professionals really step in and help them . But everyone can still do something .
If you see someone that is suffering , don't be afraid to call for help . If someone is making accusations like they're going to kill themselves in a joking manner , don't take that lightly . Like talk to people , care about people , call professional help .
Let forget them help , because you never know how serious it actually is to everyone else in the whole show they thought Robin was losing his mind until Raven was finally able to see it the way that Robin is seeing it , to feel it the way that Robin is feeling it , because she felt that punch , she felt that that should knock . She got hit .
She got knocked so damn hard she got knocked out of Robin's psyche .
¶ Discussion on Teen Titans Episodes
I knocked you back to one nigga , like straight up . But also real shit though . Like that's a real thing in today . Is that ? Like it's a real thing ? It's a very real thing and I like that . This episode . It's a very short push into it but it's a real thing to understand .
Like it's light , but it's light enough but it's still heavy enough to make you understand that this is something to pay attention to . Yeah , and that is my Ted talk for this episode .
Well , I like how you said all that because that is a good segue to the next episode , episode six , spellbound to where Raven is feeling alone and isolated from the team . So she bonds with Malkiore , who's this wizard ?
Trapped in a book and wanting to be more powerful , raven learns new spells from the wizard , while growing close to him , but eventually the power to become more than she can handle . And Raven realized that Malkiore wasn't the wizard that was in the book , it was actually the dragon trying to trick her into releasing him onto the world .
So hope you guys see what are your thoughts .
So I love this episode itself too , because it's like you kind of stick to people you relate with , and I like this episode again . I've mentioned this before and I'm going to mention this more . I've mentioned this multiple times throughout . This Riddish shows again great leadership with Robin . Robin takes time to talk to Raven .
He understands that there's his new spells and it helps him feel very powerful , but he understands that she's becoming more secluded and he becomes concerned about this . He's like , hey , no , are you sure everything is good ? Are you sure everything is all right ?
And so it winds up becoming that little aspect of like okay , like he actually paid again great leadership . He pays attention to his team , he knows when something is off , he knows when something is wrong . This particular thing also tunes in a little bit more .
That makes people that really kind of started this whole thing of like okay , robin's trying to have a hero . Like , hey , robin , you know Raven's supposed to be Beast Boy's girl , you trying to step in , to slide in and get something , bro . But no , for some real thing , though , it's the fact that it's another .
It's funny because in the comics Robin and Raven somewhat had a relationship Well , not really a relationship , but more like what she did .
No , no , like what she did as we was , like they didn't really have a relationship , but more like it was that one moment where , okay , robin and Starfire was finally going to get married and Raven was like , no , I object because I want to be a Robin . Okay , yeah , I do remember that .
Yeah , that was one time that I don't know the writer was awesome , I don't know the writer was awesome . I like the newer iteration where Raven is .
She wants to be getting a spellbound between like not a funny spellbound , I've used that phrase before , but she gets spelled by between Beast Boy and Damien Wayne , robin , the Batman son , robin , but ultimately winds up choosing Damien for two reasons One , because she actually did love Damien a little bit more , and second , unfortunately Beast Boy died .
Yeah , I like how you . Just I mean to be fair . It's like this is the only version of Beast Boy where he actually grows old . So I was like , yeah , yeah , keep in mind he doesn't last long .
Yeah , so this one he died but still . But it is one of those cases where , yeah , it was pretty funny into that , but this one is . I still like this episode and the fact that it does give Raven a little bit more . Raven has finally become more in tune to her emotions .
But being in tune with her emotions , she understands a little bit more how different she is from everyone else . Raven is always still having this ongoing battle because she's always always fighting her father . Now we've already got a chance to . We already got a mention of Trigun earlier on . I think it was like season two when we first get mentioned .
So we already have an understanding that her dad is the demon king and she's half demon , but they still don't understand how much she's battling , how much she's still battling herself and so , because of how her emotions are , she doesn't have anyone to train her to use her powers .
She's still figuring out just along the way , like they're working together , everyone's working together , but she , she does no one to really train her . A mouthy , this guy is the only person that actually says I can train you . Like he's the only one that says I can actually help you and actually proves it .
Like he actually trained her how to do this stuff and he's like that's a very good spell . But the spell is unrefined . Let me show you a more refined way of doing it and it works . It makes her feel powerful . It makes her feel like she actually has control of herself .
He reminds me . Well , in that moment he kind of reminds me of that one teacher from Akashic records of Baster , magic Instructor . It's a long title , but if you've seen the anime you know who I'm talking about Glenn , where it was like okay , yeah , that's a basic spell and I guess that's all right . But if you word it differently it has different effects .
Yeah , I will also say this would be kind of like the one of the Harry Potter movies with Mad Eye Moody when , remember , mad Eye Moody would constantly keep teaching Harry various different spells that nobody else would teach him and he was like actually teaching him how to do stuff and it made Harry trust him more and it's kind of pretty much the same thing
that worked into that , like you want to be towards a particular plan in the end .
But regardless of the fact that Raven still took those teachings , I like this episode and the fact that , even though , yes , she did accidentally release the dragon by mistake , but she was able to reseal him back , you know , with her friends help she no longer had to feel by herself . Demon sealing technique oh god , for real though .
Oh , hold on , that was funny as shit , but yeah , so they did manage to go ahead and seal the people , dragging back again , and then after that , you know they . Finally she has his understanding . Okay , it's okay to still use her normal powers , but she still keeps those teachings that she's learned .
She does learn still how to refine her magic , refine her emotions and be able to actually make things easier . I would say literally in this she loved . I would say she's leveled up .
This was one of those episodes that was like this was like a just a brief character arc where a character just needed to level up a little bit more , and this was one of those ones that was a great episode into that , of course , not just because the fact that I love Raven and Raven is my favorite team Titan , but just realistically .
It was definitely a great level up episode . Now for this one was funny because this was released in October , but this was a 4th of July special and I remember as a kid , after this episode came out , they played this episode every single 4th of July for like three to four years . They played this on the 4th of July .
Every time it's like Cartoon Network , bro . What the hell ? This one's a very simple . This is just a filler episode in itself . Anything with Mad Mod is a filler episode .
But it's a good filler episode .
It is Like the last one was good . Last one , we had a whole lot of Danganronpa memes and shit , a lot of those references . This one not so much .
This one is just what the fuck , but this one was really what the fuck it felt more like no , no , it felt more like when you watch across the spider birth and you see Hobie Brown in his universe . It felt kind of like that , but you know not different art style .
It was very much more comic book style than normal . So , yeah , absolutely . But I will say this episode was really a what the fuck moment . When Mad Mod stole Robin's youth and made him an old man . He made himself young . That one . I was like , oh my god , what the hell this nigga just did a Shang Tsung Soul steal .
It was like what happened with two number one and the kids next door when they used the cigar to make him old , but not that old .
But still , but yeah , no , bro , I was just like what the heck . This nigga stole his youth so he's honestly , the only thing I could really think about is the Shang Tsung . He like he lived a Shang Tsung in motherfuckers . He was like I ain't making myself your soul is mine , he's mine .
Like bro , what they managed to get Robin his youth back , but bro , like that . That one was like . Everyone was like oh my god , oh no , oh no , I don't want that to happen to me . Hold on a second , let me show you want to fight this guy Like this was pretty disturbing a little bit .
Now I will say one of the funniest things to keep in mind onto this . This particular episode is one of the few episodes that is not available on Max and Amazon Prime . This episode you can only watch on YouTube for $1.99 or on Voodoo for $1.99 . And I don't know why exactly , but I think it's had something to do with just about America in itself .
They were not happy with because I will . I do know that this episode digged a lot of issues because you know Matt , the person who voices Matt Maid , is an actual British celebrity .
But then the thing about it is is that a lot of the stuff that was said here it makes significant , like poke at pokes onto the Fourth of July in America again is independence and shit , and understand that a lot of Americans did not like that .
So you can't find this episode in America very easily , like other places , if you listen to this in another country , you could probably find this episode on Max and on Amazon Prime , but if you're in America , you're not going to find this episode on there .
They have actually cut this episode out , they know you just realized that we do have people overseas that listen to our podcasts .
That's weird , I don't think it's weird . I appreciate y'all .
I mean no no , no , no no , no , no no , it's just a . It's more like a weird reality . That's like oh damn , I didn't know we were that international like that I mean Mothra Kaiju's in Mexico .
Well yeah , but she works alongside us .
I mean , I guess yeah .
I mean , look , we like to . We service nerds across the world . We're not American nerds of history , we're zealots of nerd entertainment . We accompany everyone we have , honestly . Also , I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to all the new people who have joined in our zealots and nerd entertainment Facebook group .
We love all of us , all you guys , being there . We love the engagement . We love seeing all the posts that you guys make . We love seeing the comments that you guys have .
I'm like y'all need to lower down .
But yeah , we definitely appreciate the engagement . We love , we love I particularly definitely I know Jep Black does too . We love seeing so many different like nerd culture come together . Like we love learning new things . We love seeing you guys be super excited about stuff . So definitely we appreciate you guys .
We appreciate all of you guys listening to our podcast as well , too . Indeed .
Oh yeah , but that's all I got for this episode .
Okay , that's all I got for this one .
Fun episode . Yeah , it's just a fact .
Yeah . Yeah , it was a funny episode but unfortunately , unless you saw it as a little political backlash . Yeah yeah , a lot of political backlash . So yeah , unless you want to pay like you're not going to , talk about our country like that you get this episode out of here , yeah you kind of stuck .
You're going to have to pay a little extra dollars to try to go watch this particular episode . Man , I was like dang . But going back to stuff that is on Mac , to Amazon Prime wavelength .
Now we finally get introduced to the second actual storyline for this whole season , not just with Brother , Blood and Cyborg , but now we get a chance to meet Titans East a little bit .
And can I pause and say keep in mind I was young when I first saw this episode . Well , based on my first impression of this episode when I was young , we were introduced to one of the baddest bitches to be introduced into this year Fucking Bumblebee , bumblebee man .
So this day , bro , Look Bumblebee , especially adult Bumblebee , in the comics bro .
Oh , I know I'm jumping ahead , but I like how , with Bumblebee she was like there's no man alive that can tell me what to do Meanwhile . Like what ?
¶ Aqualad, Black Spider Woman, and Beast Boy Mutations Conversation
Five episodes later , you get brainwashed by Brother Blood .
I don't know , that's not necessarily that . That's just even more so the fact that I'm like bro , just brainwashing people .
I know but I'm saying , like it's just the irony of it , it's like she had to get brainwashed before man to tell her what to do .
Look , I appreciate the fact that she's an extremely independent black woman that does what she needs to do . She get business done , bro Her . And then Black Spider Woman , and then Black Spider Woman .
Oh , jessica Drew , I was like oh right , right , right , right , right , right , right , right .
Bro , I promise you Black Women got a nice come up and I am appreciating all of the melanin content I am seeing .
Oh Spider .
Bite 2 . Oh , yeah , yeah , but , yes , but yeah . So we get a chance to get introduced to Aqualad and Bumblebee and Speedy , of course , a little bit , and so Aqualad wants to ask them Teen Titans will help , because now Brother Blood is coming back and he has used Cyborg's technology .
He's copied Cyborg's technology and created special doomsday device and is about to fuck shit up . So the Teen Titans and Titans these have to work together in order to try to bring him down . However , brother Blood , it was actually a trap and he really just wanted Cyborg .
Now , this episode had a great ending , you know , getting a chance to see how they were able to finally take everything down and getting a chance to see Titans East actually be fully established , because Titans East was still up and coming , like they hadn't finished making their headquarters yet , they hadn't finished putting things together yet .
They're the first Teen Titans group outside of Teen Titans that was being put together .
Even a few episodes .
Yeah , and so you know , we had a chance to kind of see how it's working out for an entirely new group of the teams to be able to work things together , and it was pretty cool , like I love being able to see other new heroes as well too . Now I will say , this one also threw me out for a minute .
This is the first time that outside of comics that we were introduced to Aqualad that wasn't Black and , keeping mind onto this one , I was actually reading the Aquaman comics at this point , so I was very confused .
I wound up having to look this up because I was just starting to read Aquaman comics and stuff , because you know , aquafish Hook , aquaman from Justice League Unlimited . I was like , oh okay , hold on , aquaman is a badass . Now Wait a minute .
He's normally the butt of Joaquin Moore .
Okay , yeah , no old Aquaman , but I think they did a death battle . No , they did Death battle , did like the original old series Aquaman , the actual butt of the joke , the Aquaman that can't live more than 30 , can't breathe more than 30 . Like a minute or so , I think it's like a minute .
He can't survive more than a minute out of water , otherwise he would die because he'll dehydrate and shit . Yeah , that was actual . The original Aquaman was an absolute punk , like they did him . They do , they did Aquaman 30 before , but so you Wait , how was he ?
able to meet up with the Justice League if he can't ?
Literally in the original old Justice League show like the original , the really old Justice League show he was always in the water tank . Every time they had a meeting and stuff he was floating in the water tank .
So they just had this fish man floating in the fish tank while they had a meat , oh God .
Yes , like I said , they did .
Jesus Christ 30 .
If you don't know , the original Aquaman was shit , so and so , honestly , all of the Atlanteans in the original were all like bullshit . If you brought them on the surface they would die Like straight up . They would just die If they were all bullshit . But when they remade Aquaman , they made . They remade not just him , they remade the Atlanteans and shit .
They made them all bad asses . And that's the reason why the new Aquaman movie with Jason Momoa is so good is because of the remake . If they did that based on the original Aquaman , nobody would have seen that shit . It would have been a huge box office tank , no Right . But yeah , they had to redo Aquaman Like the writers did .
Horrible for the original Aquaman , but no . So Aqualab , from what I've always read , had always been a black Aqualab and I always remember him being Black Manta's son who wound up in a sense rebelling against Black Manta and joining Aquaman actually joining the Atlanteans versus trying to bring everything down . So I'm just saying it's this one . I see this Aqualab .
I'm like this Aqualab is , is Asian . I was confused as hell . I was like wait a minute . And then I found out there's actually two Aqualab . They both go by Aqualab that does not make me . I mean then they kind of do that in .
Young Justice too , to where it's like okay , aqualab , the black one Went away for a while and then , oh well , because you weren't around , I became the new Aqualab and I got your girl now . So you used to go and have a meal .
Yeah , but . But but the thing about it is that they do actually work together like quite a few times , like no , but they are , they're two Aqualab and they just go by Aqualab , that's it . They both go by . Who are you Aqualab ? Who are you Aqualab ? Nigga , what ?
I mean , then again you have Peter Parker and Miles Morales going by Spider-Man . So OK .
But here's the thing , though . It's very obvious . If you want to say yo , well , yeah , peter , you know , you still say that they don't go by nothing else other than Aqualad . It's it . Yeah you're like bruh . There's like I'm Spider-Man , no , I'm Spider-Man , You're Spider-Man , You're Spider-Man , You're Spider-Man .
That's not me right there , but really so .
This one did throw me off when I first saw it , because I was very confused . I was like why is there an Asian Aqualad ? I'm confused Because this one , he was black . Did they change him ? What's going on ? What happened ? And then that's when I found out no , it's actually two and I'm like OK , never mind . I was just really confused for a second .
It was almost like they used the other Aqualad because they didn't want to be like OK with the black Aqualad . That implies that black man said I have to be in the mix somehow and honestly yeah , because if you bring that Aqualad in , you have to bring him understandings about black man .
So because of the fact that the black Aqualad always is dealing with his father's mistakes because it's not even the fact that he's hidden People know who his that was . The Justice League knew who his dad was . The injustice . None of the team tightened me except Robin , but still .
You think if the black Aqualad did make an appearance , you probably have like an instance of a different bro ship with Cyborg . You know , not just because of black , but because you know they both have to deal with the fact that , ok , half man , half machine , half man , half fish Well , not exactly fish , but you know what I'm saying .
Yeah , well , technically , I mean , they can relate to each other . The only thing into that one is that Atlanteans are also just like the Timoranias . They don't judge based on skin color or anything like that . Everybody is equal versus .
Yeah , and what you mean about skin color , be more like , in a way , we can just relate to each other outside of having the same skin color . That's what I'm saying .
Yeah , true . Now quickly on to the next episode that we have here , the Beast Within . Oh that's not very yet , but now we is here , boy finally understand , getting a more understanding of who he really is . We get the bad boy , beast Boy . Very simple they got .
They go into a fight and Beast Boy winds up getting knocked into a batch of chemicals and these chemicals cause more of a mutation in his brain . But we find out it's not just him that gets attacked . Okay , how do you ?
set this up , pause . I mean , I know I'm joking , I'm take , keep this money . I'm just joking
¶ Metaphors, Steroids, and Pet Silkworms
. But I feel like this whole episode felt like a metaphor for Jim Bros and taking steroids , because notice how , with this villain , adonis , he was like this Jim Bro type dude . He was boasting about a strength and then Beast Boy getting on knocking to some bath of chemicals .
It wasn't steroids exactly , but you know how when people are trying to beep up , get stronger , they might take us . Yeah , they might chew us up and get more aggressive . It was kind of like that going on it was .
It is because it's very much proven the fact that taking like all these extra steroids and testosterone enhancements , if you're not doing it correctly , it can affect you heavily mentally because your hormones affect the fluid levels in your brain . That's something that people need to know .
Your hormones affect your brain levels as well too , and it's very much tied into the fact that someone being more aggressive or having strange behavior has a lot to do with testosterone and estrogen levels that's inside of your body . Something wrong with ?
hitting the dual obligatory .
Pretty much , and if you can't regulate that , then you won't be considered a normal person for a second . It also affects other things like nail pattern baldness , extra hair growth in women , or like extreme amounts of hair loss or stung growth as well too . So a lot of those different things get affected into that .
That's what makes each of us unique , but also can affect us in more sickly ways as well too . But yeah , so I can definitely see into that aspect because it does happen . When he gets into that batch of chemicals , like Beast Boy becomes extremely aggressive . He turns once he transforms . He immediately transforms into like pretty much his version of a werewolf .
He just calls it man beast , but it's significantly more than that Like . It's kind of like a mix of a wolf , a bear and a griffin kind of thing .
It was like a chimera type thing I was thinking more like wolf and maybe like some sort of Sasquatch type dude it was like no , he looked like a Sasquatch that went super Saiyan 3 . That's what I'm thinking . That's what it looks like to me .
And so . But it was of effect him crazily too , where literally throughout the fight , when they're fighting villains , he doesn't back down . He no longer has a control like a limiter anymore . He literally starts like ripping a dinosaur suit to pieces , Like he's actually about to kill that boy .
Turns out , the dinosaur didn't even muck you out of that suit .
Yeah , there he was , it just fucking went . But , no one of the things that literally like they had to pull Beast Boy off his ass . They're like yo , chill out . And he literally sitting here like y'all just weak . The fuck is wrong . John just walks off and you're like yo , what the hell is wrong with him .
You know Raven leaving has a moment where she tries to talk to him and then Beast Boy attacks her .
Yeah . You know what , raven , I'm getting so sick of your shit , Okay .
And it's like bro , and yeah , and it just wasn't just being like it's crazy , it becomes crazy and scary in that aspect . So we wound up seeing like bro , okay , no-transcript , alright . And then we find out that Adonis is actually the one that's causing all the big Issues and Beast Boy really thinks that he's the one doing it .
He's starting to have some mental issues or he's like shit , am I really doing villainous shit too ? Now too , like what the fuck is going on ? And he's getting ready to contemplate leaving the Titans because he's just like you know what I'm not on , belong here , no more .
Then you find out , no , wasn't Beast Boy , was actually Adonis , who also Got changed into like a man beast as well . So that's like oh , okay , gotcha , no , we understand now . We understand , okay , but we had this episode really got changed the center around . How much beast boy holds himself back .
We could say beast man . Honestly , you were that last part .
You said how about these man ? They're like yeah , don't , don't , bless you , you're back to be . You . Oh Now , I like this episode because we finally get a chance for the next episode , because we get a chance to come back to um moth man and we get silky . Look , I'll be honest with you , so crazy enough , silky is actually a very fan favorite .
Um pet , yeah , they like . When this episode came out . I will say more number . I say Mars . Our DC made a lot . My cartoon network and DC partnered up and made a lot of silky plushies and those things sold off the charts .
People . I mean it was round . It was kind of cute looking . You know it's a silk worm .
I'm glad the thing about this is the fact that it was a plushie and I'm like it's silky . You need to make it squishy . Yeah then I be good . But yeah , um , silky , just crazy .
This episode was not much into it , other than the fact that , like Everyone thought we thought that like mothman was about to like kill everybody , though Like he released all those different moths and then , you know , silky winds up turning into a giant moth as well too , after star fire bonds with her , bonds with it so much and everything , but then turns back
and then they're like , oh , we can keep this one , like , yeah , we'll keep them as a pet . And now we introduce to the new silky that eats everything , everything . And I was like , okay , that's a little bit crazy , bono .
So this one episode just revolved around and getting the pet , and like star fire getting a pet , it's another little filler episode , but pretty fun , definitely very fun . So far , like there's only been like one Eh filler episode and that was like season two . What was it ? Was it like season two of the car ? My sideboard's car gets stolen ?
Oh , that was season one .
Okay , season one . Other than that , every other filler episode is still pretty good to watch . It's still pretty fun . It's still a great ride to enjoy right . All right , okay , can I keep them ? No , okay .
No no .
I got all right . Now this one right here . I am actually upset . All the silky toys sold out , but bunny raven did not . Motherfucking haters , bro , I'm so real how y'all not sell out , but I want bunny raven , I really do . My kids would never have it like . This is my bunny raven no .
So the deal with episode 11 , bunny raven , or how to make a tighted animal disappear . Basically it's a mumbo episode where mumbo the magician Drawn the don tight ends into his magic hat and turn the tight ends into various animals .
But these was like well .
I'm before . I can just turn to any animal . I want but no , no , no , no , it's any . It was an inanimate object . So he was like oh well , I'm not familiar with this .
I wanted to understand . The funniest thing is the fact that whenever beast boy had an idea , he turned to a lamp and turned himself on . I was like wait , but the thing about is , because he's an inanimate object he can't move .
But the thing that kids me is this this is one of the ones where I was like I would have loved it had been tidy too soon because soul eater wasn't out at the time , but this would be a great like soul eater thing , whereas , like I'm , turning in any inanimate object turn into a sword , turn into a scythe , turn into whatever we bought , likes my oh , it'd
have been so fun . But yeah , you can't make that particular . But no , this one was a very funny episode in itself . Where you know bunny raven , this becomes the main star of the show into this episode too . She's the one of the main ones .
That really helps out , because the amazing mumbo needs to pull a bunny out of his hat and keeps giving raven carrots , and raven's like I don't even like carrots . She ends up eating the carrots because she's a bunny . Oh , and cyborg was a bear . That shit was funny . That's it was . I was like you turn and cyborg was so pissed he said you turned me .
Uh , breaking news , ladies and gentlemen . Uh , I got some reds and just came into the mail , so I'm gonna be starting something 3d printing this week .
Oh , nice , awesome . But yeah , raven turned into bunny , robin turns it to a robin and I was like really , really , I forgot who to start for it . Talk to my . Turn to a monkey , that's right , yeah , I was like oh , I forgot Really .
Savagery , yawsome savages . I mean to be fair , it's like it just it kind of reminds me of callback to uh freeza , where she just , well , freeza , use all the same as monkeys anyway . So it was like oh , so it's always like the warrior race , that's always like a bunch of savages .
Yeah , exactly , but man , this is still fun , yeah , so we wound up having like all seeing all the animal versions . It's very funny . I will say what makes it most funny in this and I think I've mentioned this before , but I wanted to watch in Teen Titans versus Teen Titans go with my little kids , because my little kids like Teen Titans go at 18 Titans go .
But that movie was actually pretty interesting . But there's a brief moment that it was actually very interesting . I was surprisingly in tune with the movie from beginning to end and I was .
I did not think I was going to be , but there is a brief moment in that in that movie where a cyborg talks about is there another world where they can be , where they're all different animals and stuff ? And I thought there was going to play a reference on to the Teen Titans episode of that one , but they wound up not doing that .
¶ Cyborg's Powers and Season Finale
Everyone was a completely different animal , everything was like a different sea creature and I would have loved that that had an actual reference to this particular episode where we got a chance to get back Bunny's and Monkey , starfire , robin , robin and like Lantern , like an enemy object , beast boy . An enemy object boy .
No , I like how it kind of reminds you of that one guy , one the one the twent , the dude , where you see him .
But he's always transformed into the most useful .
Yeah , it's like a full bucket of water .
Yeah , you're like you know what , but you can turn into whatever inanimate object he wants to be , but only when he's connected to his sister . But then the problem is that he can't just keep changing . He has to re , he has to turn back to his human form , and then they have to repowering each other again to do that again . I'm like .
I don't wonder why they were like . It was like between them and Aquaman , they were like jokes .
I'm putting this way one the twins did not come back . They did not come back . They could remake Aquaman , they could not remake the one the twins , they did not bring them back at all .
I mean , they tried to and teach Titans go , but even Titans were like , yeah , y'all are lame .
Yeah , there was no saving that , unfortunately .
I mean , we're like your sister , though .
But like , yeah , like we're like a sister . But then Beast Boy was even better because he could willingly change from any animal instantly .
Yeah , we got Beast Boy . That's what we need you for .
That's the answer to the phone , she became extremely obsolete . So now we finally made it to our season finale and of course , time is running low , so we're going to go ahead and dedicate these last couple minutes to this , not to this wonderful season finale .
Titans , yes , where we finally have cyborg is helping out the Titans East be able to finish putting things together . Like you said , this one's a being a moment where , like the first episode , the original Titan , the wavelength episode , as well as also now the season finale , we get a chance to focus more on cyborg versus brother blood .
And this one right here , this finale , is two part finale , probably one of the apps , probably definitely one of the best season finales out there , the only one that I would say probably be better than this one , at least in my opinion .
I'm going to say is yeah , season four finale was probably better than the was only thing that was better than this one , but this one was one of the best season finales to meet per se , because we get a chance to really dive into . We get a chance to really dive into cyborg , understanding what it means now to not just be half man , half machine .
We understand more of what it means for cyborg to be a machine . We understand what it means for cyborg to be a human being .
We get both sides equally a cyborg Because in this one brother blood decides to upgrade himself and literally and also upgrade his technology where he's copied cyborg technology and we finally get a chance to see that pretty much the evil cyborg , the full cybernetics site I don't remember what it was called in the comments .
Give me a second because I'm looking that one up ?
Yeah , but essentially what they did was that they made cyborg clones , but instead of being blue , they were yellow . Yeah , unless you're talking about something different .
No , not so much yellow , but no , like one way he was like green red .
Oh no , that was season four , where it was like the evil cyborg and evil starfighter , evil people .
And no , no , I'm trying to remember , it's not matrix . Yeah , there was one that was a season four , but not that one . I can't quite remember exactly what it is . But no , no , there's one where cyborg's technology , actually we find out , cyborg's technology actually does have a sentence of its own , like it's developed its own sentence , like in the comics .
It does not , not for this , not for this particular season , not for the show , but in the comic cyborg sent his robotics has a sentence of its own and it winds up recreating itself in its own negative cyborg type thing . But it's not a negative cyborg . I forgot what is that , what is called ? But it actually has its own name .
I can't remember what it is , but it was a playing , a good reference back into that one , because we get a chance to see all these robotic you know anti cyborgs fighting everyone . But then these cyborgs have cyborgs powers , like , well , his powers to have his controls .
They have his jet packs , they have his sonic cannon as well too , and it's like cyborgs freaking the fuck out because he's like they're mean . He's like , holy shit , this is .
This is really creepy and like this would be really creepy when you have a villain that obsessed with you that they make multiple , pretty much clones of you and send those clones after you . That would be very , very fucking freaky .
Right .
But I mean as far as to me . To me , I think the best and the most unexplained power that cyborg winds up having is the final battle between him and brother blood , where brother blood is actually ripped cyborg pieces and Hold on .
I'm looking at him up now , but was that evil cyborg ? Was his name grid or something ?
Yes , yes , okay , couldn't thank you . Thank you , I cannot remember .
I have to look at her real quick . I'm like , okay , I'm looking at cyborg villains that you fought , and grid is the only one that looks like a evil cyborg to me . He looked like cyborg , but it was like his head looked more like a skull and he looked more machine than man . So I'm thinking yes .
Because it's the sentience of , like it's the sentience of the robotics that is implanted in the cyborg that , as cyborg has seen everything that cyborg has seen , the machine has seen and is his own AI that's built into it .
So that way , because cyborg is able to build himself up and he's able to repair himself , so sometimes he needs something that auto repairs itself . So he has an AI system integrated into him to auto do that .
I think it's a missed opportunity to not name him grid iron , because not only would that be more of a um , more obvious that he's made of metal , but also because it'll be a little wink again because Victor stone was a football story before the accident , so it's almost like an ironic name to where it's like oh , you named me after um , you know , you're
basically a counterpart but you also reminded me of what I used to be .
Yeah , pretty much . But yeah , this is definitely um , so we don't . I would have loved to really have a chance to really actually make a comment come into this one , but we don't get a chance to see that . But we get this unused power from cyborg that we never see again , which is bullshit .
So why was it being just plot armor for the episode for the season three finale Then where brother blood ripped cyborg apart ? He was about to integrate him and then all of a sudden , cyborg just magically brings himself back together , all his pieces just float into the air and he just reintegrates back into himself again .
It's like with the power of believing , he developed to look techno .
Yeah , techno kinesis yeah , but then he never has . Just again , it's like at least Raven kept her power up . Hell like cyborg is like yeah , and I'm the alien form .
I'm like hey man .
Yeah , and it's like , but like , like techno kinesis , that'd be fantastic , that'd be a fucking awesome thing to have a cyborg to have . Like he developed this ability , but it's only for this one fight and it never comes back . And I'm like the hell , why do I do him dirty like this ?
I guess what made him to OP , but still , like y'all just did him so dirty on that one .
Yeah .
But so this one , um great two part episode . I really enjoyed the finale because one of those ones that like and they do all of this without the original Teen Titans being there Cyborg is just , it's just cyborg .
In Titans East , he winds up being the leader there and just like when the first episode , where you know he doesn't quite want to go back to the Teen Titans , but he knows he needs to go back , that's where his friends are and this is sense of duty , it kind of same this one ends the same way too , where they're like , we would appoint you as the leader ,
as our leader , of Titans East . But , and he actually wants to stay .
Yeah , but that also goes back to what I was saying in part one , to where , with cyborg being the oldest and he's meant to be like the first one to go when it comes to like the Justice League or anywhere else .
So it's almost like they're kind of winking at the audience saying that he's going to come to a time to where cyborg is going to part ways with the original team to , you know , the other team by Titans East , or maybe you'll go forward to help up with the Justice League or whatnot . Either way , it's like he could be gone for any reason .
It's like yeah true , but I mean part one . He did decide to stay for a little bit . They was like we want to incorporate you as leader and the part one of this , of this two part finale . He did decide to stay , but then at the end of part two he was like no , my , my duty is back with my team , I need to go back to them , type of thing .
And then , you know , Aqualad was being appointed as team leader .
¶ Discussion on Speedsters and DC Characters
Oh what , I thought it was Bumblebee , I don't know what was it Bumblebee ? Yeah , yeah , no , it was Bumblebee Because you know , she was a boxboost . So it was like , yeah , let her be leader . You're right , right , because I forgot . I have like actually have it here .
I have all the Titans and their leaders literally right here , like Titans North , titans East and stuff . Yeah , it was Bumblebee , I don't know , I don't know , I don't know , I don't know , but no , but yeah , and Cyborg , yeah , he was the first leader and then winds up like retiring and gives it to Bumblebee .
Now I will say we finally get a chance to really see Masi Minos in this , in this two part special part .
Yeah , I like the little guy Masi .
Minos , these littles , and I'm like , bro , those two was like dope as hell , like those two touching together . Now I will say you want to be in the scariest thing , because I honestly thought it was about to have another Wonder Twins moment . They can only be super fast when they're touching each other , unfortunately , and that's the funny thing too .
It's like it was a funny gag Well , not exactly ha ha funny , but more like it's kind of cute where you have Masi Minos and it's like , essentially okay , they're going to be the speedsters of the show . Then , next thing , you know , like season five , kid flash shows up . I was like , well , even more profession speeds of like .
Let me tell you , when I saw Snake Eye Dreams on YouTube shadowed him by the way he was doing a breakdown on strongest heroes , strongest bills and whatnot .
And with the way he broke it down to where we kid flash , I'm like bro , like he can literally walk on running laps around Masi Minos because he doesn't require both someone else to touch him in order to run fast . And with the way he works , it's like , since it's only just him , it's like he can do more .
It's like with Masi Minos , it's like it's under the implication that they still have to be holding hands . So it's like , yeah , they could be like a tag team and it works that way . But if they're split up , just like what happened in season five we'll get into that later- it's almost like they're useful and it's just dipped in your heart .
It does , unfortunately , because it does actually happen . Well , I don't want to jump too far here , but it does actually happen when they want to get separated . And once they get separated they are pretty much worthless without each other , and is pretty sad .
Plus , also , it makes kid flash even better is the fact that , like all the flashes well , not all the flashes , but most of the flashes are able to do this where they don't just run fast , they have control , they have in tune speed force itself , so they can go in opposing speeds where they can either work like does it ?
It's more like it's not there . Fosters are not really just about speed . It's more like they have superhuman acceleration . Yes , yes . It's more like where they can accelerate so fast they can like travel through time kind of space , through wall and shit .
It's not really like being super fast , like you are accelerating your own cells in your own body to a point to where you're doing this shit . So it's like there's more to it than just running fast .
Exactly , and that's why I love fucking speeders like .
Barry Allen , Wally Woods , all of them . I fuck with them because I know the science behind it .
So it will never . It will never beat me onto this one little scene where they had it in the comics , but it was also like they did have an actual adaptation for it . I think it was Injustice where Superman was talking with Flash and then the flash was just running and Superman was just flying and stuff and they had . There's been two iterations of this .
There's one where Superman is talking to the flash and he asked for a moment with the flash . That's uninterrupted . So what they both do is that they both speed so fast that time stands still and so that way they can talk without anyone interrupting and nobody can hear it , because the conversations happen so fast that even technology can't keep up with it .
Right now , like Batman , can't even tune into the conversation , even if you wanted to , because that's how fast that they were going .
So they had one moment that was like that , and then they also had another moment where Flash and Superman were talking and he had this iconic phrase that comes into this , where Flash eventually just says he's done talking to Superman and then Superman is like you know , you cannot run me . We had a race that one time and I won .
And then Flash tells him that was for charity . And then literally run so fast that Superman can't catch up . Like literally . Like we have , superman can turn back time by flying around the earth in this reversed orbit . Just still bullshit . If you reverse the orbit , you're not turning back time , you're just going to cause massive destruction on the planet .
I thought about that too , but that sounds good in a cartoonish fashion , but in actual applications that wouldn't have worked that way .
Yeah , in actual application you would have caused the apocalypse , like strange , but no , it was one of the being that case like , yeah , superman flies around and can like reverse time , that shit . But no , like Flash actually can travel through time , like he manipulates his molecules on the whole nother level and kid , flash is pretty much the same thing .
So , yeah , like it's different to that and Masi Meadows , unfortunately they're not . They're not actual speedsters per se , like not speed for speedsters , they don't have any type of relation to the speed force whatsoever , but they have , unlike the flashes , we have , molecule manipulation .
Masi Meadows are polarity , like literally one is almost nothing , nothing but pure negative ions and the others like pure positive ions , and what winds up happening is is them together per se winds up creating a force around them that repels them from wherever they're at and that's where allows them to move extremely fast .
They're literally just controlling magnetism in itself .
What the thing about Masi Meadows is what I would hope would have been a case is that maybe they could have developed their powers more to where , understanding that they're based on polarities and actual magnetism , that they could probably both touch an object and make it float , and probably like almost have like telekinetic powers , but not quite telekinesis , because
they're just controlling polarities .
I'm very similar to like how .
Magneto does in more . Yeah , that's what I was going to mention .
I was like imagine there was a DC Marvel matchup and Masi Meadows to met Magneto and I was like oh , that's cute . And I was like watch this .
Pretty much . And of course we wound up getting a little bit of speedy here , where , you know , sideboard appreciates speedy because speedy humbles himself . Speedy is like , yeah , I'll listen to your instructions , versus Robin does not like to listen to instructions .
The sideboard was like hmm , robin , that will actually listen to me , yes , but no , for real speedy was still a rebel at this point , varying to him , to his comic book , to his comic book counterpart .
I'm trying to say that speedy that is kind of still trying to be on his own , like yeah , so yeah , but other than that , I mean it was to me it was a great two-part special .
¶ Wrapping Up Teen Titans Review
I don't have anything else that I kind of want to mention right now I have to go ahead and get off , but was there anything real quick that you want to talk about ?
Nope , I am good . Pretty much mentioned everything . I want to talk about . So , with that being said , that wraps up part three of the Teen Titans review . Part four will be coming out soon . I want to say try to get it done like tomorrow-ish , but we'll see . But you know , until then , you know the drill .
We got links down below the episode , we got more reviews coming up and , like I said , I'm going to start doing some 3D printing after this . So you stay nerdy , my friends . 3d things are coming and we're going to go ahead and zone out of here .
