Oh high gang taps. Of course it is hope, You're good. Welcome to another installment of the show. If it's your first, welcome where have you been? If it's your hundredth welcome back? If it's your eighteen hundredth, what's wrong with you? Just kidding? I love you? So today is going to be different. I'm not even sure exactly as I start this. And this will be no surprise to you that know me well and understand how much I fly by the seat of my pants. But I was just sitting out in
the garden, as old people do. I was sitting in the garden. I was thinking to myself, Oh my god, why don't we just do something different? I was thinking that, and I was thinking, what am I going to What am I going to talk to you about today? And then this kind of idea dawned on me, and what if I don't What if it's not just another monologue.
What if it's not a bunch of not another you know, thirty minutes of theory or and not that those things are bad, but as we know, knowing stuff as not doing staff theories, not action, you know, theories, not outcomes, all of that stuff. What if I, and so that took me down this rabbit hole of conceptualizing what I'm
about to share with you. So I had an idea, And my idea is this, What if you and I, those of you who are interested, what if you and I do a little thing together, A little project together that goes for seven days, a little process, a little joint endeavor where you put up your hand and you go. You know what harps want to I want to get started. I want to create some physical or mental or emotional
or behavioral momentum. I wouldn't mind doing seven days with you with a bit of structure, bit of accountability, bit of process, maybe a bit of information and inspiration and education at zero costs. So there is zero cost. There is no cost. There's probably a bit of physical and emotional cost. But there's no dough, and there's no dough, and there's no sales pitch at the end, and there's
no there's no seguaey to something bigger. There's no on sell upsell, fucking no sell none, zero, there's no agenda, there's no hook, there's no catch. I just, you know, sometimes I just want to do something and I don't even I don't even know well, I know why because
part of my mission, part of my purpose. And yes, I get paid well to do my job, and we get sponsored for the podcast, and I do corporate stuff that pays well, and I do other things that paid between you know, a little bit and a lot sometimes depending on what I'm doing and who I'm doing it for.
But part of my at my age, at where I'm at with my career, at where I'm at with my life, part of what I'm about is doing some things where there's no thing in it for me, just because it's a good thing or it's the right thing to do. And so this is that, or this is me trying to do part of that. And so I thought, wouldn't it be good if we found a way to step out of the theory and to practically do something. I thought,
seven days is short enough. It's short enough that it's not too daunting, it's not too horrifying or terrifying for people. But it's also long enough that we could have a little bit of fun and we could create a little bit of momentum. And I don't know, something else might come from it. And I don't mean an on sellar an upset we just might do another one, or we might I don't know what, but so I'm genuinely interested to see what happens when I open the door to
my listeners. Now, don't get angry with me for what I'm about to say, but you know, we all come for essentially the same or similar ish reason, all most, most, and I think the reason for many people is we want to think better, do better, be better, make better choices, embrace better behaviors, settle down the overthinking and the anxiety and the fear, and be braver and more resilient and
create good outcomes. The bottom line is, we want to grow, we want to improve, we want to do better, think better, be better, produce better outcomes. Right, so we're all here for that reason. Now I'm opening the door and saying, I'm going to coach you for seven days for free. I'm going to spend every day. I'm going to set a bunch of challenges and or tasks that you can do. Obviously, everything's optional. You might do two days of this and go fuck him and fuck his silly idea. I'm out,
Or you might do two days ago. This shit is amazing. Where has this been all my life? I'm not sure, but I feel like a lot of people need a bit of momentum, a bit of structure, a bitility of accountability, a bit of community, a bit of connection, and the opportunity to, like in a short period of time, start something and finish something and hopefully the seven days will be a stepping stone something bigger and better and more.
Of course, of course life's not seven days, And of course this is a micro in the middle of the macro, the macro being your life, the micro being this little thing that I'm offering you to get involved in. I'll just repeat there's no cost. There's never going to be a cost, and at the end, I'm not going to try and sell you on something. Now I don't know, I don't I really don't know how many people are going to want to do this. My bet would be that if one hundred people do it, less than fifty
will finish. That's not me being negative, that's me telling you how things like this tend to work. You know, the average active membership, which I've shared way too many times, but is somewhere around fifteen per cent. So for every hundred people that join a gym within a not too big a period of time, about eighty five of them don't go or they rarely go. So we know that
people make decisions that they don't follow through on. So I would challenge you to challenge yourself and go, all right, I'm going to do this seven days, and I'm maybe going to do some stuff that's a bit unme and I'm maybe going to get a little bit uncomfortable. Now, I don't want this to be overwhelming and to hijack your life, of course, so I'm going to set every day. I'm going to set some simple, maybe slightly uncomfortable, depends on where you're at and what you're up to, tasks
or activities or whatever that you can do. And it's going to take somewhere between three minutes and twenty minutes, depending on what you do and the way that you do it, and that's up to you. Some of these challenges will be more in the physical space, nothing too hard, and again I will give you options, so realizing that some of you don't work out or are not fit,
are not particularly super healthy, there'll be physical options. There'll be psychological or kind of more mind based challenges or emotion based challenges or tasks there'll be things that there will definitely be something that you can do. So you do not need to be a genius, you do not need to be fit, you do not need to have any particular skills. All you need to do and by the way, all you're going to do is you're going
to do your best. So if I ask you to do something that you can't quite do, then you do what you can do and that's your outcome for the day and it's more that it's more than you would have done anyway. So the way that it works practically is I'm going to upload a video every day to
the you Project Facebook page. So if you're not a member, again, no hooks, catches, agendas, cost nothing, no on sell, up sell, but go to the bloody Facebook page, sign up, become a member of the Facebook page, the you Project Facebook page if you are not, and find the relevant post for this particular episode so you'll see the promo for
this episode. The promo is going to be all the episode's going to be called typ seven day Kickstarts, so you'll see the promo and under that, just go into the comments and go I'm in like a I'm in, and I'll know that you're going to do it, and you can write whatever else you want. Also, you can write more than I'm in, or you can just write I'm in. And then I've got an idea of how many people are going to commit and how many people
want to get involved. And every day I'm going to post a video and there'll be a little bit of info and inspo, a little bit of information and inspiration, and there'll be there'll be a bit of a to do list, and out of that to do list, you can pick one thing. They'll be like I said, there'll
be options. But what I think, what I think things like this can do is they can really help people who are stuck, who are fearful, who are apprehensive, who feel alone, who feel disconnected, who don't feel supported to belong to something. I will spend more time in the group over the seven days than I normally do. I will,
within reason, my life is pretty busy, but I will. Obviously, I've got to record seven podcasts, seven podcasts, seven videos, and I will respond to as many comments and questions as I can. Also, what I would love to do with this is for seven days, create a little community of like minded people. I always want to do this stuff where when I see people that follow my work but also starting to who are also starting to connect with other people, it's so nice to have something online
where people are not being horrible to each other. I love having something in the virtual space where we are with no hooks, catches, agendas, just supporting and encouraging and loving other people that we're never going to meet. And I think this is an opportunity for you to do something that is about you, but also something that is bigger than you. I know that when I have and I've said this many times, but it is just true, when I have a purpose that's bigger than me, life
goes better for me. I'll say that again when I have a purpose or a meaning that's bigger than just Craig Harper being happy and Craig Harper getting what he needs and wants. When I have a purpose bigger than me, then things go better for the people in my world and the people that I interact and insect with, but also life on planet Craig is much better because I'm not coming from a selfish perspective. Now, also keep in
mind that obviously this is not a personalized program. This is a thing that I'm just putting pushing out into the world so you will know. You will know better than me, because I don't know you or some of you I know. But whether or not this is appropriate or inappropriate for you, and again you can modify it as you need to if you have got some significant mental or emotional or physical health concerns. Not that there's going to be anything particularly adventurous in this I dare say.
But and you feel like you need to get somebody's approval or permission from somebody clinically or professionally, then please do that. You know, I don't want anybody feeling, I don't know, out of their depth. I guess now you might think to yourself self, why the fuck is he running it from a Friday? Like, why does this shit start on a Friday. There's a couple of reasons. One because this podcast, I don't know when you're hearing it, but it's only going live on Sunday, Let's Day, Saturday.
It's only going live on Sunday, Feb nine, twenty twenty five. And I want people. I want more than you know. This podcast that you're listening to will we listened to by thousands of people over quite a few days. Not everybody listens to it on the day that it comes out, So I want to give the most people possible a chance to get involved. That's one and two. Those of you who know me, well, you know exactly why I'm
starting it on a Friday. You know why I'm starting it on a Friday, and that is because everyone starts on a fucking Monday, and it's bullshit, and everyone takes their foot off the gas by Wednesday or Thursday, and so I want to do something that's atypical. So for those of you HOURU who are already figuring out why Friday is not a good day for you to start something that takes as little as three minutes a day when we have fourteen hundred and forty minutes, then this
is definitely not for you. I believe that for some of you, it could be two people, it could be two hundred people, it could be two thousand people. But I genuinely believe that for some of you just doing something little like this, and not because of the You project, and not because of Craig Harper, and not because it's going to be anything fucking magic or mesmerizing, but because you go oh fuck it. I'm just going to do it.
Not I'm going to see how I go. Not I'm going to cross my fingers and hope I get through this. I'm going to do it. So whatever it is that I need to do three to twenty minutes a day, I'm going to get a bit uncomfortable. I'm going to do something unfamiliar. I'm going to jump in this group. I'm going to comment I'm in. I'm going to support other people. I'm going to encourage other people. I'm going to have a purpose bigger than me. I'm just going
to fucking do it. I've listened to this bloke talk for so long now, I'm going to roll up my sleeves and I'm going to do something that's un me. I believe that, and by unme, I'm meaning something perhaps some of you don't typically do. It's in these moments when we do the thing that's not you know, what's not convenient? Fucking Friday, good, good, great, let's do the
inconvenient thing. Let's start the day before most of us, or not most of us, but some of us make bad decisions over the weekend and do shit that we feel we've got to then undo the following Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. What if we don't do that? What if we what if we break with tradition? What if we stop looking for a reason to not start. What if we stop rationalizing and justifying and explain to ourselves let's be honest, bullshitting ourselves, and what if we go? Fuck? I mean,
I'm just doing it. So that's why I'm starting on a Friday. That plus obviously the fact that this is a podcast is only going live Sunday. But then I was thinking about starting potentially a following Monday, and I went no. I went, no, let's start when most people never start. Let's start the program on the day. I'm sure there have been, but I don't think I've ever seen any new program start on a Friday. So let's
be that program. Let's get that kickstart doing something that is some that is somewhat atypical, unfamiliar, and something that is perhaps new for all of us, me included. All Right, So recap every day seven days, You're going to go to the group. You're going to go to the Facebook group, the new Project Facebook group. You're going to see the video. Every day I'm going to put up a video. I don't even know what I'm going to say in these videos. I've got a bit of time to get my head
around it. I'm going to set some tasks or some activities that are going to be somewhere between easy and little bit challenging. Some are going to be more in the mind space, some are going to be more in the cognitive space. And if you're thinking, like what it might just be today I'm going to read fifteen minutes of something that I've never read before. It could be I'm going to try a one kilometer run. It could be I'm going to have a hard it doesn't matter,
hard conversation. I'm not sure. But there are going to be things that I want you to pick the thing that you know you probably can do but might be a bit uncomfortable. And of the options that I give, which are probably going to be somewhere between three and nine options, I want you to pick the one that is truly going to be for you the most valuable. So you're going to go to the typ Facebook page every day. You are going to have look at the video. After you've done it, you're going to go back to
the page and say I'm done. Or you might say what you've done or how you felt or what you're learning, and other people are going to do the same, and hopefully you're going to jump in on the back of their comments and say, well done, Donna, you're fucking amazing, Well done, Bryant, you big start, look at you go, fuck you're a gun something like that. Because we can, because we can. So we're kicking off Friday fourteen. There may be other people that don't listen to this that
you want to get involved. You might get people in your work involved, at your work involved, you might get some of your family involved. You might get some of your social group involved. I don't care. There's no hook or catch at the end. Like I said, there's just some discipline, some structures, some accountability, some community. There's some connection.
There's some info and inspo from Fatty Harps, and there's an opportunity for you to get involved in something, to who build some momentum, to start something and finish something and to have a sense of accomplishment. And after we've done that, we will debrief and we may even I don't know I'm thinking about clearly, I haven't thought this through, but we may even do a zoom call, you know what.
But the people who actually do all seven days, we may do a live zoom call, and we may even do a like a thirty minute coaching session free live interactive with you know who. Anyway, that's it. So that's my idea typ seven day kickstart. Have I forgotten anything? I'm looking through my terrible notes here. Umm, look, I guess I did write down here this is which I didn't share with you. I'll just say it because I
think this is important. The real challenge is your ability to commit to something and complete something that you don't have to do there's no gun to your head, and also to do that when nobody's looking, and maybe when no one's giving a shit, but just for you to go. You know what. This won't be necessarily fun, quick, easy, or painless. It might be fun, who knows. But nonetheless, I'm going to dive in and I'm going to do it anyway. That's what we're doing. Love your collective guts
is we kick off this coming Friday. Depending on when you listen to this February fourteen, twenty twenty five through to Thursday, February twentieth inclusive. That is seven days if you've missed this one, send me a message if you're listening to this after these dates, and we we may do another one. We may never do anything like this ever again, because it could be a fucking dud. Who knows, but I'm in, I'm keen of will, and if you're the same, let's make this motherfucker happen.
