Well here we are, celebrating our first year and getting straight to business by transporting ourselves to 1895 when Konstantin Tsiolkovsky proposes a space elevator, W.E.B DuBois becomes the first African American to receive a Ph.D grin Harvard University, the world's first portable handheld electric drill is developed in Germany, and American frontier and murderer and outlaw John Wesley Hardin is killed by an off-duty policeman in a saloon in El Paso, Texas.
