When Mulder and Scully investigate the accidental death of a two-year-old named Teddy Holvey, Mulder suspects poltergeist activity is to blame. Scully rejects his theory and looks into the medical history of Teddy and his older brother, Charlie., and comes to believe the siblings are victims of Munchausen Syndrome. As the case unravels, Mulder and Scully bear witnesses to a demonic force in need of an exorcism. This episode was written by Sara B. Charno and directed by Mike Vejar.
