Mulder, Scully and Queequeg head to Heuvelmans Lake in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia to investigate the disappearance of Dr. Bailey, a US Forestry worker. Mulder suspects a local legend, a prehistoric lake monster known as Big Blue, is to blame for the recent surge of missing persons in the area. This episode was written by Kim Newton and directed by Kim Manners.
