After a CEO of a Fortune 500 tech company is murdered, Mulder and Scully assist in the investigation at the request of Mulder’s former partner, Agent Jerry Lamana. As Scully searches for evidence to tie the crime to the program’s creator, Brad Wilczek, Mulder comes to believe the machine itself is to blame.
