What is going on everybody, and welcome to another main event review with your host Daniel. Thank you very much for being here and tuning into another episode that I put out every single week covering the matches our main event and also snippets across Raw and Spackdown as well. So really excited to get into this once again with you guys. Lots to cover in these episodes and what's been occurring across the three. When I say episodes, it's

all three of the shows as mentioned before. But before I do that, I did want to kind of sort of address the most recent events that transpired on SmackDown, and it was the John Cena infamous promo pretty much replicating exactly what Seeing Punk's promo was about thirteen years ago.

And Seeing Punk's promo is always going to be infamous and is always going to be probably I probably go down as the most notorious promo that's ever been done on Monday Night Raw and it was just great that John Cena was able to replicate it, and I think he did a really really good job in replicating pretty

much what Punk did back all those years ago. And it's just crazy that I didn't really pick this up, especially considering that before Punk PuTTY's promo, ar Trip was involved as well in a match of John Cena, and he happened to also be involved in a match with John Cena again, So lots of moving parts there. But in terms of the hype up for that of Champions, this was a great promo and excited to see how these two go at it with each other one more time.

I still question as to why see him Punk just put the seth roleins feud to the side, But I guess, as I said last week's probably because the retirement tour is coming to an end. For John Cena a pretty underwhelming he'll run retirement tour. He's doing his best to try and be this heel and do really good promos like the one he did with Seam Punk, but everyone is unable to see through it and really understands that when he does retire, is eventually going to turn face

and turn the leave. So we're waiting for that, but I think Not a Champion is going to be something really exciting and keen to kind of review that as well next week when obviously main events done. And that's why I kind of wanted to touch up on this promo too, because it will be probably the last time we speak about those two before going into Night A Champions, which will definitely be the main event, which I definitely see John Cena winning and retaining the title, and not

really sure where CM punk goes for Summer Slam. He might have to go back in fighting Seth Rollins, because it doesn't seem as though that Seth Rowlins, besides potentially cashing in his money in the bank contract, has any significant feuds like I know La Night is one, but is that realistically going to be a Summer Slam feud. It's hard to say, given that it's not really as big as what a CM Punk Seth Rolins feud would be. But that's something to talk about for another day, but

thought i'd address that quickly before Night A Champions. We also have, well before that, the main event match between Julia and b Fab, which I'll go through as well, but the match with them, I'm pretty sure on the night before the Night of Champions on SmackDown, they'll be fighting for the US title, which is going to be interesting.

She takes on Zelena Vega, but before that we'll go into the first main event match, as that's a nice smooth transition into it, Julia taking on Befab and Julia getting the victory here, which she is giving her momentum for this match next episode of SmackDown, where I really really hope she does win and become the new United States Champion Women's United States Champion, And the reason for that is because I find Selena Vega's run to be very flat and just insignificant at this point of time,

and I feel as though Julia coming on and bursting onto the scene from NXT will really lift up the Women's United States Championship kind of division as well and those mid card wrestlers that can come in and compete for those titles, and I think Julia sets the standard for that, given that she's new on NXT and she's proven to do so many good things at the moment on SmackDown and also in the latest PRL too, so I think Julia should get the title of Selena Vega.

Maybe they can have a program or a rematch there, but I think having other superstars across that title will be a lot better too, and Julia will set the standard for that, I suspect, and I truly hope so

as well. But yeah, we're gonna have that match, and we're also going to have just before I kind of move over to what's happened on Raw, not Gunda the Wirt six, Dexter Loomis and Joey Gacy taking on the street profits for the Tag Team Championships as well, So we'll have to see where that's positioned in SmackDown or where both those title matches are positioned as well, because I don't suspect new title new title handovers to occur,

but potentially potentially for one of the matches, depending on where it's positioned on SmackDown is what wolves will see there. But I do suspect the Prophets will retain the title and there'll be some sort of interference or disqualification involved in that. That's my guess early on, But we go to Raw and we get Gunher coming into the ring. They put off a bit of a replay on him winning the World Heavyweight Championship. He comes out to address

the crowd. He basically mentions that Jus was the better man just for one night, but Gunther continues to be the better man. People start mentioning Goldberg chance as Gunther says what's next for him, he puts that down, basically saying that he embarrassed him in front of his whole family. So he's essentially ended that feud, and he was out there to pretty much call out Seth Rollins and say

that he wants his title. But as he's saying that, Goldberg does end up coming in to the ring and pretty much calling himself, calling out Guntha that he did his family and he's after the World Heavyweight Championship and wants to fight it in his hometown in Atlanta at Saturday Night's main event. Before that, he was kind of giving respect to Gantha, which I felt quite confusing given

that he was already frustrated with him. But yeah, they're fighting for the World Heavyweight Championship, and this is the plan all along. This is what everyone sort of expected, especially last year when they did have that little feud, and then the fact that they've obviously given the title back to Guntha, But I don't see the value in

this match. Obviously it's said to be Goldberg's last run at it, but there hasn't been confirmed that it's his retirement match, only because they've put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line. But what frustrates me is that Goldberg gets an opportunity at the title at Saturday Night's main event.

But when Our Truth wanted to Verse sin or went to Verse Sena at the last Saturday Night's main event, they didn't put the title on the line, nor did they put the title on the line last Mackdown either. So it's just weird to me how a feud between Johnson and Our Truth that's becoming really strong at the moment hasn't accounted for a title for Our Truth or Wrong Killings. But Goldberg can simply come into the ring, call that gunther and just get a title match there.

And obviously he's not gonna win the match. Gunthera's gonna smash him. I hope and I think it will happen, but it's just crazy to me that Goldberg just can easily get a title run there. And the reason why it frustrates me so much because it takes me back to when he came and challenged The Fiend and pretty

much ruined that character. It got me really off ww when they did that, because The Fiend was such a big thing RP to Bray Wyatt, and they just kind of made him look so weak because they wanted Gundha to the title of into Man want to win the title. It didn't make sense or sorry, not good for Goldberg,

my mistake, but Goldberg to win the title. And now that they've got Guntha here, if I see Goldberg win the title, I'm probably gonna crash out given that he just came onto the scene and and just called out for a title shot, which I just find extremely unfair

and just hope Gunther makes clear for him. I know he's a legend, and I know a lot of people love him, but for me personally, I never really was a big fan of Goldberg given that, yes, I know there's that stereotype that he has just two moves, and I generally think he does and I just don't see a place for him right now in the WWE, and I think that it's time that he retires. Hopefully this is his last match and he can end on a

sort of high trying to fight for the title. But again, there's no way that he deserves a title match here, even though he's a legend whether you like him or not. But again, it is just something that don't really sit well with especially with what's happened before, and if they do give him the title, it's going to remind me of that and it's really gonna make Gantha look so weak and they alreally tried to do that with ja Us and they knew that was the wrong decision, so

hopefully they just make Gantha look super powerful here. We then get the next segment, basically the match between j D McDonald and AJ Styles. We had a bit of a little bit of a cut scene on the previous promo at ROW with John Cen and Cmpunk when Cmpunk entered the ring and called him out. But we'll go straight to the next match and AJ Styles got the victory here. Dominic tried to help but it backfired and

then an Aj ended up hitting the Styles clash. He then got a cheap shot from Dominic or Dominic tried to give him a cheap shot, and as a Style was about to attack him, Finn Balla came to his rescue, all three of members of the judgment, they centered the ring and as they ran into the ring to try ambush Aj Styles, AJ just ran out to the side where they didn't come out of and took the title

away and kind of flexed it there. And this confirmed the match between Dominic Mysteri and AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship at Night of Champions, which again I suspect Dominic Masterio will retain the title there too. There's just too much heat on dom at the moment for him to just lose the belt so quickly, and I think AJ, coming to the end of his career, doesn't really need

the Intercontinental Championship at the moment. He can simply put Dominic over and kind of make that run very significant too. It's funny that he came out with the title. I found that pretty amusing as well, but he ended up

giving it to Nicoldis. Anyway, I was trying to get his name because I remember that Adam Pierce wasn't the general manager on that day nicolds took over, but he did end up giving the title to him, and then nic Oldis gave him the match at Night of Champions, So we'll see that are there as well, and that's going to be pretty exciting too. We then get onto a main event where we have Cruiz del Toro taking on Carrion Cross. Another massive loud pop and a great

reception to him. The fans were really loving him. Even after the match when it was concluded, you started hearing Carrying Cross chance which was amazing too. And he did get the victory here with the final prayer which was great carrying Cross again. When everyone expects him to be on main events, they weren't expecting him to be on WW main event show, which is what I'm covering. But it's just funny to see those comments there about that

and everyone's here to really watch Carrion Cross. It's very notable and very obvious at the moment, especially with the crowd as well getting involved too. But it does look like there is a silver lining. It seems as though that now that's se Samuzain got eliminated by Randy Orden

on Smackdow. These two might have a significant feud and promo, and I think the best way to really keep carrying across his career is to get a victory against Sammy Zain, just to show that he is while and truly ready for the next step, and that's where everyone wants him to be, and that's being part of prls and contending

for titles. I know that's probably premature to think that Cross could win a world title, but the way he's going at the moment, I don't see why not, and I think he'd make for an extremely strong heel champion. May not be this year, but definitely next year, especially when John Cena retires and the floor kind of opens up for these new and upcoming superstars there. But Cross is getting the push on main event, getting victories, if that's any positives, and the fans are reacting to him crazily,

so hopefully we can see something now. I'm really disappointed that he didn't get a money in the bank qualifier match he didn't win. I think he should have been in the match. He didn't get his WrestleMania moment. He didn't get anything out of Backlash. He didn't even get a King of the Ring fatal four way match, which is also frustrating. But now that Samizin is available for a feud, I think that's where they're going with this, and that's what I'm ultimately excited about, So bring it on.

More Cross, the better for me. He's unbelievable on the MIC, and he's a big presence in the ring as well.

So something to look out for if you're not enjoying the main event and if you're not really excited about it because of the lack of storylines and just superstars that you probably don't connect with, You've got Carrying Cross, and Carrying Cross is going to bring the heat, and as he continues to be a staple on main event, he's going to continue to get that crowd hype, which is something that I love to see and I'm excited to continue to see hopefully, and continuing to have the

chance to cover him as well has been great. So Carrying Cross going to be following his journey continues to win. I think he's undefeated in his last four and onto the bigger, better things. With Sami saying I suspect, then we get the fatal four way to finish off the main event and also Raw with Jay also getting the victory here. The se faction group bron Breaker, Bronson Reid seem to have a lot of enemies because as they try to help Bronson Reid win the match bron breaker.

In that way, Penta comes out and interrupts the match, and and and l A Night also comes out and costs the match as well to allow for for j Usso to get the splash and get the victory there. So, as mentioned before, looks like La Knight and Seth Rollins is going to be feuding. One is from SmackDown and one is from Raw, so obviously no consideration of brand splits once again, but something for l A Knight to do,

which is which is very exciting. Now that he's off the US run, he can do some different feuds and I think this one's going to be very special and can potentially elevate him given that it is up against someone of Seth Rowlands, Someone's like Seth Rowlands who is a high color a superstar there. But after that, we do get Seth Rowlands coming into the ring as ja Uso just finishes the match, taking off his blazer getting

ready for an ambush on jay Uso. But we get Cody Rose that comes into the ring and they have a standoff and pretty much septh Rowlans exits without any foul play or whatnot, and we then had Cody Rhodes and jay Uso looking at each other as the stage is set for those two to take on each other for a chance to make the finals of the King of the Ring tournament, and most likely Cody Rhodes is going to win this match. I don't see how jay Uso wins this match, but extremely excited for that as well.

Those two haven't versed each other in a long time, and they have been pretty close. They've been tag team champions together. They've always stuck up for each other the last two years especially, so it's going to be interesting to see how that match goes. Hopefully they put on a really big five star performance in terms of the inn ring stuff and Cody Roads. I suspect we'll get

the victory here. But a Cody Rhoads Randy Orton match at Night of Champions for the final would be extremely, extremely exciting and interesting, and I really don't know who's gonna win that match. I suspect that they're gonna ride with Cody Rhoads here, and that might force Randy Order to potentially turn heel and start to get jealous of Cody Rhods. You might set up something for them in

the future too, but something to definitely look out. A Cody Rhoads Randy Order match is something that I think everyone's been waiting for since Cody Roads come back to the WWE, especially given the history that they've had between each other back at their kind of legacy days and whatnot. So that will be exciting and something that I'm really

really looking forward to. And there's so much history that that can be an extremely strong program for Cody Rhoads and Randy On and I think that will be something that will be extremely captivating and a lot of people will be across it and all for it, so look out for that as well. But yeah, that pretty much

perhaps this week's main event review. With Night of Champions coming up and I've SmackDown and Raw things again are ramping up, We're then going to get Saturday Night's main event, and as soon as you know it, Summer Slam will literally be around the corner. I think we're a little over a month away from Summer Slam, so lots happening in ww at the moment. It feels like there are

pls every two three weeks. I personally enjoy them. I know a lot of people prefer some space and gaps between them because storylines have been rushed and etc. But I do kind of like the idea of having good pls to settle the scores. The storylines just need to be solid and consistent with that as well. But again, thank you very much for tuning in and I will catch you guys next week as well, where we'll actually break down the Night of Champions results as well as main event too, So cheers.
