The one that everybody wants me Stone sixteen. So I just rep your ass is mind you can acknowledge me what is going on? Everybody, and welcome to another episode of the Main Event Review with your host Daniel. This one was recorded April third, and I'm very excited to kind of review what happened across this week on Raw SmackDown and obviously the two main event matches as well, a quite entertaining one in terms of the landscape of WrestleMania, but still nothing set in stone for I guess matches

that occurred. And unfortunately this week's Main Event review didn't

have anything that was recorded on SmackDown last week. I knew, I do know that it's normally one week behind the current SmackDown at the moment, So yeah, going and touching onto I guess the events that happened there would be quite irrelevant given that it's obviously a week later, but again something to kind of mention and I guess before yeah, talking about that, I would love to start with, I guess addressing the sad news of Kevin Owens who is

ruled out for I guess indefinite period with needing to get next surgery, and it appears as though this is

really serious. It's occurred before, obviously the match between Samuzain and himself at Elimination Chamber, and when I first actually heard the news in him coming out, I had a small inkling that it could have been part of the storyline, but unfortunately, when having a little bit of a read and looking into a few articles and actually hearing Kevin Owens himself talk about it, it does seem as though it is official, and it's such a shame. It's really upsetting.

I really do feel for Kevin Owens, who started to grow into this delusional heel character and he really helped Cody Rose's title run this year and kind of towards the end of last year be a bit more relevant as well. So it's going to be a shame that we're going to lose Kevin Owens, especially yeah, with his character, and also not knowing what's going to happen next year

when he does return. Obviously he was very distraught in the ring, and yeah, when he was revealing the news, it looked like he was extremely upset, So hopefully he keeps this character. I know a year is a long time, but hopefully he's able to kind of come back the same. But obviously the fans are going to be on his side when returning, so it's going to be really hard for him to remain a face as well. But I think when he does come back, he most definitely des

a title. I think he's given a lot to the company. He sacrificed his body. He did a really good job this year and last year, and then was gonna, I guess, come up with a really good match with Randy Orden, who I guess, of all people, is getting stitched up the most year as well, not being able to have a WrestleMania match two weeks away, and I guess I want to discuss some potential ways he could probably be

involved in WrestleMania. One being probably the most one that's been talked about a match between Alistair Black, which is pretty underwhelming. If that match was to happen, I think it'd be for the sake of just having Randy Ordan in a WrestleMania match, but again, it'd be something good

for for Alista Black on his return. It's obviously been teased on SmackDown, and it allows Randy Ordon to participate, But again, it doesn't really link up to any storyline, so I don't think it's going to get much heat as the Kevin Owen storyline would be. We did see him Arkao Nick Olders, so there might be potential for a little bit of a few there. Doubt nic Oldis will get into the ring, but maybe find ways to either screw Randy Ordon over or just be in charge

of finding a WrestleMania prona for him. But and I did mention SmackDown, I wasn't shown on this main event review. We did get the promo between Randyordon and Cody Rhodes, with Randy Orden basically telling Cody Rhods to his face that he is going to be going for the championship

after WrestleMania, which is pretty interesting. But again, I do have to say that I'm a bit frustrated about how this went about because of the fact that before Randy Wordon actually did get injured, he was basically saying to Cody Rhads that he was going to have his back no matter what. And then you could see a little bit of teasers where Randy Ordon was grabbing the title,

looking onto it and passing it to Cody Roads. And I did mention this in a few reviews previously as well, and I did want this to be one of the main events for the show before obviously John cenam turned Hill and all that, but I just didn't like how they revealed in the primo. I would have much preferred there'd be a surprise element or Randy Orton turning on Cody Rhods to chase that title. It would have been more interesting, and I think the story and Ravali would

have been a lot more personal. But then again, I think Randy Orden being involved in a championship match is something interesting anyway, and I think that's going to be the next step for him for sure, especially being one of the two opponents that whoever comes out as the champion will make a compelling storyline as well, John Cena for obvious reasons and Cody Rhods for also obvious reasons too,

So definitely look out for that. So it may not be the ideal, most ideal Wrestlemanium match for Randy Ordan, but there's definitely a future for him in terms of those kind of title conversations as well, and with The Rock with John Cena, with kind of Travis Scott forming their allegiance, Randy Jordan could probably be involved to help Cody Rhods. Yeah, and now that he's got some free time, that might be the case as well, So let's look

out for that. Speaking of The Rock, and I think, going into mention before we kind of dive into the review show, we still haven't seen him, which is really frustrating because again we've seen Sena come out and The Roar last week was basically I think his last episode before WrestleMania, so that was the final kind of live conflict or live face to face we had between Cody

Roads and John Cena. And we are yet to see The Rock, and we are yet to understand why the hell John Cena sold his soul to The Rock specifically, So hopefully The Rock does return and make a feature

into one of these shows. It hasn't been announced that he'll do that, but I think that's kind of a big hole that's missing in this storyline, and it's something that's going to make it a bit more compelling and kind of just I guess, add pieces to the puzzle already we know that John Cena obviously has his motives and reasonings as to why he's turned heel and why he obviously or what he wants to do with the

title and whatnot. But again, The Rock is such a major figure in this storyline that's been going on for over a year now, even to last year's WrestleMania, and with two weeks to go, we are yet to actually see him appear on any show's post elimination chamber, so hopefully that gets amended. Hopefully we see a bit of a face to face with The Rock with Cody. We see maybe the Belt come out to Cody roads getting

getting here or abused and basically explain that aspect. And it's also a shame that we're not going to see The Rock and John Cena together in a show basically like ripping out promos as well. I think I was really excited and looking forward to seeing that, But again, that could still happen down the line, so I'm not going to rule that out, but we'll definitely won't be seeing them two together until WrestleMania, so that's a bit

of a shame. But I guess moving forward, we could probably start this before the main event showed Yeah mentioning the Cody Roads promo with John Sena as well and John's exchange of words too. I do think John Cena did cook him on the microphone if I'm honest, and I think he didn't go too hard. He could have probably went a lot more harder. Luck he did backup

to Remoraines and a lot of other superstars. But one of the lines that I found the most compelling was towards the end when he said to Cody Rhodes, I make empires for billionaires. All you do is steal money from their kids, obviously a reference to AEW's chairman being the son of a millionaire. And Yeah, that was just an extremely good line. It's something that I guess really burnt Cody Roads in that point to when he just responded that no fans had to say that Cody Rhodes

can't wrestle. They obviously did that to John Cena before, but not the best comeback. I think that was personally my favorite line of the night. There was a lot of lines where John Cena kind of called him out for being an EPO baby, that his mediocrity and basically, yeah, if you go through the promo everyone probably understands and has gone on through it before across all the shows and raw itself. So yeah, it was a very good exchange of words. It was a long primo. I think

Cody Rhodes came up with some pretty decent comebacks. To be fair, I still think he got cooked here, but it wasn't to a point where you thought that Cody Rhodes had no chance or it was like a massive mismatch.

We all know that John Cena is incredible in the MIC and he has burnt a lot of superstars on the MIC in the past, so I think Cody Rhodes held his own with a few comebacks and a few things, especially mentioning that John Cena did sell his soult to the Rock and again as mentioned, we are waiting for the Rock to come back, and also the fact that yeah, he's not afraid of him on the MIC too. I think he did a really good job in kind of stabilizing, yeah,

his credibility there. So it was a good primo. They did go through it on this week's episode of an Event, which is great to see, but again, as mentioned, that's the last time we're going to see these two face to face. I did forgot to mention, yes, sorry that Cody Roose did end up putting Across Roads on John Cena, so getting somewhat a little bit of revenge there. But obviously Cody Roads looking stronger going into WrestleMania. And this is why I want the Rock back, and I'm gonna

mention it again. I want to see this kind of height go down a bit. I really want to see Cody Rhods feeling like he's got no chance or all of us feeling that the John Cena and the Rock are going to be too powerful come WrestleMania. But again, two more weeks of that and yeah, we'll have to wait and see what happens there. We then get the first main event match of this week with Karen Cross

taking on Akira Tazawa. And the last time I've actually seen Karen Cross battle in ring was I'm pretty sure against the White Six, who I'm not sure what the hell has happened to them. They've just disappeared off the face of the earth. I don't know what's going on, and I'm very concerned because there were some inklings and teasings that Alexa Bliss and even where's she been? That's another question that I've got. Alex O Bliss was obviously

backstage and they had some White six teasings. What's happening there? Could they potentially partner up? I'm not sure because yeah, they haven't really mentioned anything with them. But again, this is about Kerrien Cross. Karen Cross making his first live

match on televised air. For a while, we've obviously seen him kind of try to get the dark side between all characters, which has done a really good job at especially now most recently of Asia Styles with Samu z Am beforehand and being a key contributor to Turning Woods and KOFE Heel. But again, I feel like Karen Cross hasn't been getting the opportunities he deserves. He does look the paw as a wrestler, He's extremely incredible on the mic, and I feel like he does deserve a major push

this year, so hopefully that does happen. He then goes on against yeah, the Alpha babes of Kira Tazawa, who just seemed to be making an appearance every week on

the show. However, no Otis Otis didn't end up making the trip to London unfortunately, so we didn't get to see Otis they're supporting a curate Za, but we did see Maxine dupre And just going on about Maxine Dupre, I did mention a few weeks back that Natalia didn't want to work with her or was basically wanting to seek higher opportunities, But it seems as though Natali has put her ego down and it seems as though that

they're going to be working together. And Nick Oldis did mention on last week's episode of SmackDown the latest episode that there's going to be kind of a qualifying tournament to determine the opponent for those women's tag team Championships against liv Morgan and riccar Ro Driguez of the Judgment

Day at WrestleMania. So I'm pretty certain that from the conversations we had in Raw, basically Maxine de pre talking about teaming up with Natalia, they're going to be involved in that gauntlet match or in that qualifying sorry, And just as I mentioned before, maybe we might see Nikki Cross and Alexiblist together in that qualification as well. So

I like it. I'm glad that Natalia decided that she wanted to team up with Maxine de pre I feel like she can teach Maxine a lot of things, and it also opens up the women's tag team division, which is in much need of women's tag teams, so hopefully that is the case. And then Yeah, mentioning that we haven't seen Alexa Bliss and the White Six for a while,

hopefully they get involved too, But anyways, I digress. We go into the match carrying a cross getting the victory, here a curious ASAA looking like he's having all the momentum, and then one elbow and the final prayer gives carrying across the victory. So in my eyes, that is a big push and probably some good momentum for him to continue on. There doesn't look like there's going to be a match for him at WrestleMania, but I really do think he much deserves a push into some into some

compelling story lines. Obviously, the authors of Pain and Paul Ulleran are not there anymore, so his faction group is gone. Now he can really focus on himself as a single superstar and potentially Yeah have some feuds that are that are worthwhile, and I think he's able to challenge anyone

on the MIC as well. He's shown that, so hopefully this match kind of leads into that and again with a curate Tazawa remains just to be a jobber on main event, which is no surprise a bit of a shame for him, but I guess he's getting a contract with WWE, so who is here to complain and who

might to complain about that as well. We then move forward to gun Star taking on Jimmy Usso, and the only thing that's been good about this feud is Jimmy Uso coming in to save Jusso, who honestly has kind of fallen off a cliff in terms of heat and motivation here. This storyline is very concerning and I'm really concerned about it. The fact that they needed to get Jimmy Uso to be involved slapping Guntha to get a bit of virality just shows how far off jay Uso

is at the moment. And yes, you can see that they're making it as if jay Uso is the underdog and him watching moves and whatnot, But I do genuinely think out of the storyline this moment is getting to him big time because you can just see that he's not himself. He hasn't been able to make this storyline

compelling or interesting. Jimmy Usso has and he's not even involved in the match, And for someone that is seen as like the less successful twin brother or the one that's in the shadow of jay Uso, is definitely showing that he can be a pretty good single star in his own right. He's a lot better on the mic

than Ji than jay Uso. I'm sure people have picked up on that, and he's been a lot more compelling here Gadza getting the victory and then also attacking him after and then jay Uso coming out of the ring.

So going back to the storyline, Jaso came into the ring, tried to I guess attack Gunta Guntha, ran out and then hit Jimmy from behind, putting Jay in handcuffs and basically was smashing Jimmy Uso across the head with the belt and basically torturing him in front of ja Uso and Ganta did a really really good job here, and Jimmy Uso did a really really good job here in

selling this. But the one person that didn't do a good job in selling it was jay Uso, and it just didn't seem like he had that emotion, that raw emotion that made you feel sorry for him. I did say that I wanted to see something like this happen, and I'm glad it did because it obviously created a bit more emotional turmoil, But jay Uso didn't sell it

for me. It didn't feel like he actually cared, and it's just such a shame because, as mentioned, I think everyone else is doing their part really well except for jay Usa and now maybe being a little bit critical, but I have to call it out. I really do love jay us So. I love that he won the Rower Rumble. I love that it was a bit of an underdog story. It was a feel good moment. I love the movement. I love him in ring, despite him doing a bit of botches and him doing the same

superkick moves on a regular basis. I do like his flow of matches, dumping into the crowd every time he performs a move, they obviously chant yea. But this storyline has really put him down a few notches, and I did mention that Gunsa I think has to win this match, and if Juso wins it, I think people are going to be really disappointed and they're going to really turn on Jauso here, I think now he doesn't deserve it.

And before I would have said, okay, he could wait another year, have a redemption story, and come back and win it next year, because I didn't think Gunsa deserve to lose two underdog matches or two underdog wrestle Mania matches and drop a long run of titles all into Continental last year. Now the word heavy champion this year in a row. But if Juso loses, what's going to happen with him now? Because I think he's really losing his momentum in his storyline. So I don't know what

WW is going to do here. They're in a bit of a pickle. I still would book Guntha to win this match, but I think regardless of what happens, it's going to be a big detriment to jus So maybe they decide to give him the title so he can get that kind of hype back. But I don't think the way he's hype this match, I'll warrants that if I'm being honest and if I'm going to be very critical of it, So yeah, we'll have to wait and see. But yeah, not something that I'm very excited about. They've

got two weeks to kind of change my mind. But again, Jus I think needs to be the one to make this a lot better. They're going to go face to face on Netflix on Raw, so let's see how that goes. We then get the second main event match with Lyra Valkira Againstoey Stark. Both won a piece, so this is the rubber match on main event. Lara Valkurira obviously getting the victory here with the night Wing that will give her,

I guess, momentum into the match with Bailey. Who I suspect that Laara Vlkira will win that match against Bailey. It seems as though they're going to be teaming up against Racal Rodriguez and liv Morgan and probably be in that qualifying match. For me, they're probably the favorites to go into that match at WrestleMania, but again we'll have

to wait and see. And speaking of quickly the tag team division and WrestleMania, before I go on to Kando zoe Stark as well, how are we having inklings of a World tag team a women's tag team match at WrestleMania, but no indication of the men's tag teams Championships, whether it's the World or the normal ones. I know that Xavier Woods and the war Raate and Kevi Kingston and the war Raiders are going to be fighting for the title on Raw, but what happened to the tag team

champions on Spackdown or the Championship stakes on Spackdown. Are we still going to get the a multi team tag team match or is it just going to be one opponent? Now I'm very confused with what's going on there, but I guess I have to wait and see. So yeah, li Ofvalkyia getting the victory here, and as for Zoe Stark, maybe again with Shane Bezo gets involved in the Women's Tag Team Championship qualifying as well, because I don't see

what else they're going to really do with them. Lyra Valkyria or Chelsea Green don't look to be either defending their titles either at WrestleMania as well, So again, two weeks to rectify that. I know there's so many matches already and there's not enough to book I guess every match, but I still think what's the point of bringing out minor titles or mid card titles for women and not

debut them on WrestleMania. It's will be their first time they are like defending the titles or like having championship matches. Of those on this card since been released, so yeah, I don't really know what's going to happen with those. They haven't shown the storyline. Maybe there'll be something with tomorrow, but I don't know. Like I'm pretty lost with those

title runs as well. So yeah, let's see two more weeks and no news on that, but we get the final I guess closing out segment on Raw with the match between rear Ripley and Eosky for the Women's World Heavy World Champion with Bianco Bellaire as the ref. As we know, this match got called off by Bianco Bellaire because of the fact that er Skuy and rear Ripley constantly were attacking her, not on purpose, but enough for Bianco Bellair to be to cancel the match and be upset.

And we obviously knew this was going to happen. We're just waiting for this to be a triple threat match. And I got to say, out of all the high pups and storylines, I find this one probably the most interesting and generally I do think it warrants a main event date Night one, And the reason why I say this is because obviously, in terms of star power, CM Punk, Roman Reigns and Seth Rowlans thoroughly deserve to be on Night one of or not main event of Night one

of WrestleMania. But the fact of the matter is the storyline and like the fight, and like the stipulation for this match is just extremely It was extremely underwhelming. Whereas these women are unbelievable in the ring, probably the top three performers and wrestlers in their division, er Sky being unbelievable in the ring, rear Ripley being incredible, Bianca Bella are being incredible. The star power there is amazing. The storyline is amazing because you have feuds between Bianca bell

and rear Ripley. You see er Sky getting involved and them not acknowledging her as the champion, pushing her away, and their three incredible in ring performers. I do think they kind of got stitched up for a Night one

main event show. But again, yeah, going back to CM Punk, rom Ray and Seth Rollins, in terms of star power, yes been In terms of storyline, I don't think it warrants it because yeah, we heard about the favor, and the favor was underwhelming, and it just doesn't really have a strong storyline where you think, Okay, what's going to happen if one of these superstars win, who's going to turn heels? It's just putting them three in a match for the sake of it in my opinion. But again, yeah,

something interesting there. We don't even get as much. We didn't even see much fear between Seth Rollins and Roman wins either the last week or so, so that's something to look out for. Hopefully in the next two weeks. That is mentioned as well. They haven't found a way to cross the three of them together yet, so we'll have to wait and see. But again, at the end of the match, going back to the women's triple threat. Sorry for always digressing into other things, is just what

my mind. My mind starts playing and thinking about things, and I just kind of want to address those before kind of going into it. But again I go back

to the women's match. The match gets canceled obviously, and we see rear Ripley attacking basically both of them, both superstars Biancabellat and re Ripley fighting at the bottom, he is quite jumping, and then re Ripley giving a rip tied to Eosky and then a rip tied to Bianca bell Air from the top turn buckle, pulling up the championship and looking strong there, basically saying that she's going to be in the triple threat match as mentioned before,

and that's probably going to be most likely confirmed on sorry on Roy's episode the next one coming up. So again that's been another main event review. Two weeks left until WrestleMania, so probably one or two more main event reviews before WrestleMania, so one of them, when hopefully the card shapes up, I'll be able to give my WrestleMania predictions and review ruins backdown two Again with main Event, it's really hard to review just the two matches because

obviously there's no storyline attached. Try my best to kind of see where I predict these superstars will go from their results on main Event, and hopefully I've been doing a good job at that for those that are interested in kind of the superstars that are that are fighting and being a part of that show too. So again it's been your boy, Daniel, Thank you so much for tuning in and we'll catch you guys on the next one. Cheers.
