All right, everyone, this is Memphis Mark coming to you from mullet Manor. We're going to do
the NXT review. But this week it is the second week of gold Rush and they've really pushed this really well because we had our NXT ten on Monday night Raw and ends up in a match against you know, someone that's going to be headlining Money in the Bank Finbaler, and he shows himself very well in that match. They did a good build up, I mean Seth talks about him a little bit and brings him a little attention when he's in the crowd, and then he gets involved and he gets a match and he does
lose a match, but he loses it valiantly. So yeah, and now now we're on over to uh to gold Rush and then they come out you know with a well Corbyn's you know, Baron Corbyn's going to roll up in a beautiful Porsche and they show the guys showing up and everything. But the first actual match is going to be thea Hell and Tiffany Stratton because she won the chance to go for the belt. And uh, you know what,
normally I would almost skip over this match. Uh And I've done it a lot in in some of different people that I just don't think, Uh I should um even try to say something less I can say something good. But this match was good. This match was good. This is the best I've ever ever seen thea Hell a good storyline, good writing. Uh. Dempsey and Goulacs show up, you know, so you know there's gonna be in. They're gonna be involved. But I mean there were some great moves in
here. Uh men freaking Uh thea does a coffin drive off the top rope. I mean she has a screw up, does a great cover up. Uh man. Just everything in this match was good. I cannot I'm not gonna sit here and say a bad thing about it, because I'm gonna offer or I'm gonna say this is a go watch. That's right. They start off with the ladies match with a good go watch. Uh kind of a match man Tiffany. Of course it looks great. At one point in time,
A Goulac gets up I believe it wasn't and distracts the reff. When thea throws an arm bar owner and U Tiffany's taps. Reff doesn't see it, of course, and then you have the angle of getting rolled up by Tiffany Stratton. She wins. The Duke comes in because uh, you know, Drew and Goulac or Goolac and Dempsey or brating or and he comes in to kind of tell them how y'all screwed up, and they jump him.
And what does that lead to? Andre Chase returns and he looked pretty good coming in, you know, I mean, hey, good match, go back and watch this man go back. Right after that, they got a dragon off promo that's uh again pretty good man. Um, nothing bad to say here, uh dragging off of course in the ring. His in ring ability is without you know, without a question, but uh good promo.
Good but to stick okay. Uh. And of course after that, since you've got the upcoming match, you've got to do some promos with the Gallus brothers and uh Malik and Blade uh So and they both do pretty good, you know, good ones. Uh. And then before the match, they go back last week and they've got Dana Brook on a trainer's table and I believe the new girl's name was Jordan, which is apparently an ex gymnast, and they get to talking and uh, Jordan's chriss gonna be a fun one
to watch because she's gonna take her first advice from Dana Brooke. Okay, there there we go. But yeah, then we go into the Gallus Brothers and Malik in Blade Man and of course Joe Coffee is missing. Uh so and then and Malik uh and and Blade they won their spot uh in the you know, to have this match and uh, you know, I am about a quarter of the way into the match. You're gonna have her berth throwing Garza show up in the muffet box up there, you know. But
uh, you know the match here we go another must go watch. That's right, I'm saying too already. And we've had two matches. Uh man. Uh, they had a great game plan for this match. You've got two guys that are so fast and so high flying, then you've got to take one away. Well, they're gonna take away the high flying. They're gonna, you know, God also get all those on the top rope and get you know, eighty percent of them. But you can't take away the
speed. And I saw I believe it was which one was it? Which one wasn't there? Okay? So I saw Mark Coffee go for a pen and I mean literally hit the guy and go to drop and the guy was gone. And that's pretty quick, man. I mean, I know you know what I mean, I know how everything works, but I'm gonna tell you you gotta be fast. This looked freaking fantastic. Everything in this match looked great. And he can break Blade are man, they are main roster
worthy with this match. In my eyes, man, they I know they've got to work a little bit more on the stick man. They were going, they were making moves. Might I say, um midnight expressius, a little rock and roll expresses. I mean, he were pretty freaking good. And you know, as Booker always says, Gallus, the Gallus is good to the last drop. But man, but then, so you gotta have an angle in this. We gotta have an angle because you don't want Blade
and Enoughee to look bad after this because they's a freaking great match. And in any other if they would have written it the other way where the titles change hands, it would have been okay, it would have been okay that it was that caliber. But they're gonna give it an angle, which hey, all right, And what they do is they have Stacks come out, all right. So you know he's already snatched up one coffee brother, you've figure he's going for his second cup. Uh but nope, nope, nope.
He hits an enough he uh throws him into the step steps and uh. You hear some of the crowd going, why Stacks, why? But of course Gallus is gonna win this match. And uh, you know, look this is like I said, go back and watch match. Uh you know, if you haven't already seen it, of course. But man, good timing, um, good writing, good execution, Uh everything. I didn't see a lot of talking between the guys. It was. It was good. It was freaking good. So two matches in a row, Uh
good. Uh we're gonna have something sneak it up, don't we, don't we? Well, they have ava of schism. Um. She's tweeting, she's over tweeting, and uh she tweets a little Uh come to Jesus meeting so um, and it wasn't bad. You know, they did that so and then they go from there to the metaphor to Noamdar and his posse. His crew is gang uh Mensa Lash and miss Jackson. Uh. They're all talking about the future. They don't want to talk about the past any you
know. Not a bad little promo though, still nothing nothing bad. Uh. You know, I'm not gonna say great, but I'm not gonna say bad. That is the key word, not saying or the key phrase, not saying bad. Uh. But after that, you've got Deskism meeting and U you know, as scripted as it was, and it sounded scripted. Uh, it sounded terrible. I was looking around for a teleprompter. But hey, she learned her lines, she delivered them. Uh. You know, they give Rick and Jagger of Diad. H. I hadn't done a
diade, won't yet. But anyway, Diad's a little ticked off. They don't think that mister Gaycy is holding up his end. So they have a few minutes of banner that usually is I would normally say blah blah blah blah blah, blah blah blah, but no, no, pretty good, good little dialogue, good little one, hey, good little peace. Uh but Gacy stands up for himself and uh so they're having words. They're kind of
going back. Hey, you know, sounded good. And then the Creed Brothers and missus Ivy show up and uh they'd do okay because they didn't give them a lot of lines. So but anyway, Gacy somehow turns this whole deal in to a old fashioned loser leave town match from that I used to have here in Memphis quite a bit, uh you know about you know, it was a that was a big deal. That was a big deal in meself CALLISSEM back in the day. So they screwed up excuse me, they
screwed up my my concession stands match over there. And uh so we'll see where they go with us. So, yeah, there's gonna be a loser leave U n XT match. So is this for somebody to get a push? Are they pushing the Creed Brothers up too quick? M M? I don't know. Uh, good little promo with this, Uh the new tag team coming in pricing NEMA. Uh you know they're talking about the screets but yeah, good little promo. Um, they look like they're they've got the
part, so we'll see how they do it in the ring. Um. After that, you've got Hank and Pink uh and Axiom and Scripts and and then Nathan fray Share coming out with that cup, that humongous cup. But anyway, Axiom wants it spirits Scripts tells him, uh, Scripted Scripts, that's that's his new name, Scripted Scripts, because I think they did have a teleprompter for him. Um, but yeah, it's an Axiom wants about
but or teeth. You see what I mean. The cup, but it looks like uh, Nathan's gonna try to hold on to it a little longer. But he's got a match coming up with Dragon Lee. Uh and they announce you know, pay back after the Great American Bash. I guess it's going to be the next one. And Uh, then you got Mellow and Trick getting ready for the main event. And if you're gonna throw a little
star power in, how about bringing rha Ripley in. Uh? And uh she comes in says that she is not happy about Mellow getting involved in uh in their business. So uh, good little spot, good little spot. Uh. Okay, Then we got Dragon Lee and Nathan Frasier coming up in this Heritage Cup Championship match. Uh okay, and they and they've got ladies in the corner of Froyce and Lyon uh in the uh corners for each respective person and uh okay. You know Dragon Lee is going to be good and
you know Nathan Frasier is going to be good. So it's gonna take the writing staff or somebody like that or an injury to screw this up. Well, neither happened. Man, this is another go back and watch, must see type of match. Feel good, It makes you feel good afterwards. Of course, you know both of these guys are just tear it up type people anyway, but they tear it up type because it's a barn burner.
They're both going to move for move. The first two rounds, you know, they're three minute rounds, and so the first two rounds it's pretty much a draw. I mean, they're tearing it up though, and the was it. The Frasier wins the third, Lee wins the fourth, and then Frasier wins the fifth as the clock is running out, So that'll be a little if they want to do an angle on but a good, good match, um you know, does not disappoint um solid, Just guys, go
pack and go back and check this out. Um. After that, you've got Eddie Thorpe doing a little old promo for his upcoming match with Damon Kemp and uh, they get Gabel Stevenson up in here. Uh and Gabel is uh if you don't know who he is, definitely go look him up because he is a in the wrestling world, the collegian wrestling world. He is a just a freaking uh he's on like Mount Rushmore. He is good, good, good. The promo not uh, you know, nothing bad.
But when they go and they do their little uh talking spots, uh, they're not sweat. He just got through working out. They sit down and they look fantastic, but they're not sweating. So I don't know, uh my my take on that one. But Gable, you know, yeah, just a monster guy, a monster guy. So and and Damon Kemp a damn a good one too, so collegiate wise, so uh, let's see
how they convert over to uh professional wrestling. From here, We've got Mustafa Ali and Wesley and Tyler Bate of course, and everyone is kind of uh why would you say that coming in and commenting on Mustifa's reugh skills. So, um, you know, Tyler wants a rematch. Uh, Mister Ali decides that he'd like to throw his hat in the wing or in the ring, and he'd like a shot, So Tyler wants to ref And the main thing was Ali was saying, hey, I called it both ways, right
down in the middle, just both ways. So okay, we got that, and then let me see, ah, yes, mister Stone. Mister Stone is of course looking for von Wagner, and I really hope they go somewhere because I like von Wagner, and hey, mister Stone's done. Okay, I could see this being a good build up for both of them. But to keep going back to that photo, now, dog gum photo is going to ruin that boy. Uh yeah, you know. It's a quick little spot, I guess, just to keep them up and give everyone else
some time. They didn't give them a lot of time on this one. You know, we go straight to uh Keana James versus gg Dolin and h Keana is a great worker. Miss James can tear it up. She's got that apparently very expensive purse that carries a lot of stuff and uh Gigi, and Gigi looked pretty good. Um, you know, it's just sometimes she just seems a little slow and her timing is not there. Um, I mean, it's just what it is. Miss James was tearing it up,
looked really good, carried. The match goes after the purse uh in the end, so the person ends up coming in and hurting her, and Gigi gets to take this win. But then Miss James decides that she ain't happy. So if she ain't happy, nobody happy. So uh she jumps up, jumps Gigi and puts like I used to call him, like rave party paint on her or something like you would see it the old parties back in the two thousands or whatever, or never mind, most people don't know what
I'm talking about. Okay, all right, So they go from there with their continuing the saga of don't d d's in jail, you know, so U Joe Coffee goes to see them, and uh, you know, uh they can't say a light over the over the phone because don't eat d's in jail. But Joe finally lets them know that hey, maybe it wasn't maybe it wasn't a gallus maybe it wasn't Gallus that that uh you know, turned him in. We'll put it that way. Um, maybe it wasn't.
So who could it be? Maybe it was Stacks all along. Maybe Stacks doesn't want it to be the underboss. Hm. Another angle. I like it. I like it. Uh, So we'll see where that goes quick little one with rocks in and blaired Davenport Roxanne talking on Twitter. Blaired Davenport goes in whoops her all. Right after that, they have j C. Jane running her mouth in the locker room about the Valcarra, and Valcarra comes
in knocks her upside to head. Uh. And then right towards in Ria Ripley makes her second appearance and walks by and uh says, pretty much in a polite way, no no no no no no no no no no no NOA ain't us. So after that, uh, let me see. Uh. Now you got a little spot with AVANDAD and they're they're ticked off about the loser leave n XT magic of course, so UM gives them a chance to vent and Ava nots so bad. Uh. Just you know, I mean, I'm not gonna say anything great or good, but I'm just gonna
say not bad. You know, that's not so bad? Is it? Not to be bad? Hide? But of course this is all all leading up to Baron Corbin and Carmelo Hayes Mellow because Mellow don't miss because he him. But you know, Baron comes out in his uh lone Wolf gear, so apparently his regular gear was somewhere else and he had somebody run him over some of his old gear or either he lost a little weight or something.
I don't know, but he came out in his Lone Wolf stuff. And then of course Mellow is going to come out with his trade mark the T shirts, and of course Baron's got him a T shirt up there, so uh, here we go. Here we go. Good match, here, I mean, another good match. Go back and watch man Mellow sells some of the best I've seen him sell. All Right, there's a big size
difference. I mean, if you're looking at this not being a wrestling fan and you're just watching for the first time, the size difference, you just see this is gonna be a problem, and it's portrayed in this match perfectly. I mean, it's the best that I've seen Baron Corbin in a while. He worked it great, MANU. It's just I mean, he did a big boot to Mellow outside and Mellow bounced. It looked I've seen the stuff live, folks, and I'm gonna tell you it looked as good as
you could make it look. I don't care if that was Jerry and the Briscoe brothers are back in the day. The funks they that was an old school sell on that and uh, you know, and he does, of course, Mellow does like a frog splash which Montaze ford uh to me right now, it gets more hight uh more airtime, more gliding, uh more possible FAA infractions because he gets up there. Well, Mellow is getting there. Uh you know. He's not the you know, world class you know
runner and spinner like Montz. But man, old man, this cock can fly. So he does a great, great frog splash. Uh. But during this match, Baron Corbyn's he ties his shoe in the middle of the match. He ties his shoe and it still doesn't look bad. You can tie your shoe in the middle of the match and it doesn't look bad. That's a good match. Uh you know. Uh, Baron gets uh gets a Mellow outside on the announcer's table and he drops some elbows and because the
way everything's done, it looked great. It sounded great. Man just just freaking I mean, go back and watch this and look, Baron puts on that deep six move he does and he puts on the purtyest I'm saying it was purdy. That man spun that man around like he was on a merry go round and dropped him and you're thinking this is the end. But no man kicks out of it. Uh you know, just I mean, I'm not, I'm I'm just I'm not gonna go on anymore. Like I said,
go back and watch this match. Uh yeah, well I will say this that he don't miss or that final move. I'm sorry, guys, I had to explain in some people that's called a leg drop off the top rope. Okay, just like he can't call it with a look, he does it so well, he can call it whatever he wants because he don't miss him him But yeah, him gets the big win and U and Baron Corbyn takes a defeat, but he looks good doing it. A great match by him. I thought, uh so, hey, uh you think it's
over. Yeah, I think it's all done. But we haven't seen Broun Breaker all night, so wonder where he's been. Well, apparently he's been in the office. He's been a bad bad boy. Uh and uh, all you hear him hollerand is you can't control him. You can only hope to contain him, because I mean he's hollering, you can't control him, and he storms out. So oh wow, that's how they kind of end it. Uh. I like that. You can't control them, you can
only hope to contain them. It's old reference number mine. But anyway, that is the end of the show. And man, guys, normally I don't sit here and say, uh, you're gonna just watch the show. Just go on watch it. Don't try to speed through it, or you'll miss some good stuff, because there's some good stuff. Every one of these matches has got something in it good. But man, I mean, uh, well, let's just go through the dragon ly Nathan Frasier, you're gonna
miss something if you don't. If you don't watch that, of course, up Corbyn mellow, you're gonna miss something. Uh you know, Keyana James, you might miss her move gig. You might want to watch that just for help to your comedy career. I mean just all kinds of things, you know, Chase you, I mean, chase you, good match, good match, thea hell, I make a lot of jokes and look that
girl toward up man, so I give credit where credits due. I think they've been making her look bad, you know, doing that Ultimate Warrior stuff, and she came out and looked great in this match. So uh, anyway, guys, that's gonna be it. So it's the end of gold Rush, and I guess we'll see how they do things next year or whatever. But I'm gonna say the second one beat the first. Hey, that's what I'm gonna say. This was a sight. I mean, gold Rush
run was good, but gold Rush too was I think a little. But that's just my opinion. And now you know, they're just like, uh yeah, well you know what they're like. But hey, guys, we've been having some bad, bad weather around me lately, so we haven't had power for about for about twenty four hours, we didn't have power, so we're still catching up. But I'm glad that I got a chance to do
this review. I thought I was gonna have to maybe punt or go up and sound like crap, but I was able to get down into the Mullet Manner studios and get this taken care of.
