All right, everyone, this is Memphis Mark coming to you from Mullet Manor, and we're going to do
a review for the NXT Show on six thirteen. And they actually are getting ready, I guess you would say, getting ready for the Great American Bash. And over the next couple of weeks they're doing something called the gold Rush. And um, they're bringing in some talent, uh from the main roster. I would say, uh, um, you know you've got Mustafa Ali, You've got Baron Corbin, You've got to uh let me see uh Roberto and uh and uh Garrez and and I mean I'm leaving someone out, but
um, oh, of course seth Rollins and just leave him out. Huh. But they've got all these guys coming in, so it should be a good ratings boost, uh, a good jump start for him. And and they start this show out actually with uh Wesley of the North American champ and Mustafa Ali and and Tyler Bate going against gizzm and uh, you know, uh, this is actually a really really good back match. Uh died really doesn't disappoint. They're they're really really good that every time I see them,
it seems like they're getting better. Um this whole thing with Gaycy Uh, I'm not too keen on the ava, but you know, it is what it is. But you know the schism um, excuse me, schism Uh. They they've kind of got things going pretty good. But uh in this match, man, they start off kind of old school and just get in there and start tearing it up. And uh uh, I mean everything works good on this match. I don't have anything bad to say. Ali is
man. Ali takes a shot in the turnbuckles. Man, he gets thrown into the turnbuckles, and he sells it like it's a freaking car crash. So he does a great job in this and and everything's you know, the match is good. I'm enjoying it. But there's some kind of mix up with the tag. Somebody is tagged and Gacy's about to win, and uh, another ref comes in. Now I've seen a lot of angles on the reffs. This one was a little different, but hey it's something, you
know different. They use correct a mis steak. And then the next thing, you know, Tyler bait is uh is a pinning mister gaycy so, uh, you know it is what it is. But the match, hey, uh it's worth checking out for sure. Um after that, you got a promo with uh yeah, with the uh and uh Drew Goolack intempsee and and of course mister du Kotchin who uh you know, they're always doing something
with the Graden papers or some of that crap. I don't know. But now they're starting to put an angle in uh to where they're trying to bring Andre Chase back. Uh he's needing some help. Uh you know. Then uh it's a it's a filler time, I guess, and it's getting these guys ready for future endeavors. But uh, you're a little odd. But then then after that, though, they've got the uh uh the bron Breaker
promo and uh, you know Broun comes out in all black. You know, he's got the h the gold and you know, got the you know, the look, he's got the beard. Uh, he looks like somebody
that's collecting money for somebody named Guido. Uh so, yeah, he gets out there and he starts, you know, uh, chambering on about us Seth and the next thing, you know, you've got dragged off coming out and uh yeah, he wants to get in there, but now they uh they hold him back and and Braun keeps hollering and he's going to hold everybody accountable. Uh so U you know, about that time he's getting good into
a spot, they do kind of like an old school deal. They they send in a promo and Sef sends in a promo and and he kind of goes through the that where he started there and he was a champ and now Braun was a champ. And so anyway it comes down to, yes, he's going to take the match. So next week, Um yeah, next week they're gonna have that match. So that should be pretty freaking good. We get to really see the caliber of talent that uh that Braun really is.
You know, can he hang with some of these guys. I know he's got the strength. I know he's been training. I know he's been putting the work in. From everything that I've seen, so you know, hey, we will see you next week for sure. Uh. And and another one of the main rosters that I did forget uh was Dana Brook. Yeah, Dana Brook. They've got her and the next tea I guess, uh, you know, kind of redoing her, gonna rebrand her, I'm
guessing. Uh, you know, they bring uh uh Core Jade out there and let Cora get into mix, and of course Kora's gonna end up slapping her and setting up for the match, you know, setting up for a match up coming. But yeah, she and she doesn't do the core you know how Core is real bad about just doing the you know when she does something, so uh yeah, kind of kind of different there. So they're building up a Kor Jade Dana Brook match. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be
at uh probably the Great American Bash. Not sure on that one yet. But yeah, after that, they've got a thea Hell match with Cora Jade. So since she has slapped Dana, you know how this is gonna work out? Uh? Yeah, they have a match. The matches match is not very good, uh but you know, the timing seems to be off, and and I know thee is you know means well by watching all those Ultimate Warrior old tapes. But she's kind of taking it to the extreme there.
Uh it's just I mean she's gonna pull a win off here, and it's just her timing is off everything. Corl really had to work on this one to make it make her get over. Um, just not a not a good one. There's a couple of matches in here today that you know. The first match was schism and uh and the Guy's men, you know, really good and really good. But after that, yeah, that one
was too good. So but to yeah, they go into the uh well they do it a little interview with uh Mustifi and uh Tyler and um and Weslee and they're referring to that the Tyler and West are gonna have a match, so must if I has put himself in as the referee. So um an angle coming up, maybe a turn, Uh we will see, we
will see. But tell yeah, the Heritage Cup they bring that in and uh oh man um, first of all, they they pretty much uh no m dar is on crutches, and I thought that was going to be the angle I'm setting up, going something's gonna happen with that, But but no, no, it wasn't it. It ended up being uh, he must have gotten hurt or something because they they bring in Mensa or on Mensa to actually defend his own Ah, but you know Mensa can throw, so Mensa
can go down. That is no problem. So now it's set up is U instead of uh no M doing it defending his cup, it is Mensa going against Nathan Frasier with Dragon Lee in his corner. And Mensa's got the crew, he's got the click, he's got the gang there with him, Miss Jackson lash Legend, and you know, now no M dar so, um, it looks like it's stacked against Nathan Frasier. But you know,
they do the matches and you have the break in between. So you know, the first match, Nathan ends up winning, uh you know, and then it's okay, that looks okay. But the second round Mensa wins with the little you know, little lash legend getting up in there and and you know, changing it up and uh you know, and Or gets the win on the second round. But the third round, third round, it is
a draw, so they go back. And then the fourth round, Uh, Nathan comes out and really throws down and both of these guys are good man mensa. Every time I sam he seems like he is. He surprises me with some of his moves and and he's you know, he's got a little of that gymnast in him, but it doesn't overtake his his wrestling. Uh, some great moves in there. And of course Nathan Frasier, I
mean he's tearing it up. If you know, between his show and um and his in ring ability, you know that sky's a limit for that guy, good looking young guy man. Uh man, I can see them coming up with all kinds of different storylines. But uh, anyway, in the fourth round, uh Frasier off the top rope for the win, and uh he is our new Heritage Cup champion. Uh so yeah, we can see all the angles they can do with this. Now they can come off this
with uh mensa did it and have darn mensa. It means just all kinds of different ways they can do it. Uh, and they do. After this, they do a couple of little promos and uh uh well they go through three, but the third one was actually okay um which von Wagner and mister Stone about therapy and that picture, that dog gone picture. But yeah, they they ain't bring the angle all the way back to mister Stone that he is actually the only one that von Wagner and trust. So that will
be an upcoming uh coming into a theater near you. Uh, and you've got to this is the second match I really didn't like. You got de
Avocado all right now. I would be thinking, or I would think that they would want to do more of a bill job with him, But they've got him going against Axiom and Reggie, I mean scripts uh, and you know, I know they're gonna chop the giant down, and you know, they let Kato have some good momentum a couple of times in this match, but really, uh, yeah, they chopped the big man down and they end up flipping and flopping and they they get the win. Um, I
just don't see it. I just don't see it. I don't like. I think that was bad writing. I think the whole thing was bad. But uh, the one good thing about it is after the match, you did have Garza and Roberto jumping Axim and Retch I mean scrips uh and uh doing a little throwdown and announcing that they are here too. So uh, you know that's that's what that's five people from the main roster there coming up over the next two weeks. So, uh, should be pretty good,
should be pretty good. Uh. Right after that, we've got tax you know, trying to figure out he of course is the under boss. Uh, trying to figure out you know who who who write it out to Tony d and uh, and he's going through it and he's pretty much come to the conclusion that it is Gallus. So that will be where they're going with
that, for sure. They've been going kind of that way anyway. So I guess maybe Tony's going to come off the injury reserve or something, and uh, that will be what's gonna, you know, be coming up. Uh. And then gosh, man, another chase You promo, just a strange promo, but Chase You. They talk and uh, that's all I'm gonna send that one. Uh, we'll go after that. You know, they've had the last few weeks, they've had h Briggs and and Jensen get
into it, you know, and talking about how they is. They've folled as brothers and all that. And then uh, of course you had the famous Hank and Tank connection. Uh. They got in there and threw down and uh said, they came out better. So they use the same scenario, same formula, and they put a Blade and Enoughie in there, and uh, man, Blade and Enoughie are are you know? Their their mic skills is the only thing. Their in ring ability is great. Man.
They're both fast. Their timing's good. They sell you know, it's just it's they're good. But yeah, they they get in there and they have a good match. Blade ends up winning the match. But it's uh, it's really uh it's it's kind of fruitless because they were it was a close match and I could see either one pulling it out. But yeah, on this one they let Blade have it. And uh of course after that, you know, it seems like they're gonna get along, and I think it's
enough. He knows uh Blade's birthday. Uh, so they're all happy about that. But then but then you have book a Ta Book of t has to get up and he's got to go into a gold rush. Uh talking about a a what is it a three way or a four way? Uh, opportunity to see who will get a chance at the at the Gallus Brothers for for the Belts. So they've got all of these guys in the ring, whether they got three tag teams in the ring. And then they've got
uh Roberto and guys are up in the muffet skybox. I call it um looking down, but uh, the guys in the rings start throwing down. So that's how they go to a commercial break. You know, it wasn't bad. It's not too you know, not no bad riding there. Uh you know, book or T actually almost fumbled but he didn't. Uh you know, but that segment was pretty good. Uh. And then they've got
Damon Kemp. Of course you saw that this was coming when he had his foot on the ropes last time he fought uh Eddie Thorpe, And yeah, that's what he he's bringing up now with the refs, how he got screwed and challenging in the reffs and how idiots they were. But Eddie Thorpe shows up, the modern day Wahoo McDaniel, the modern day aka Chief Ja Strongbowl. But he shows up with his modern Native American self and pretty much says
he didn't care. He'll fight him again. And Damon keeps hollering about cheap victories and everything. So but you know where they're going with that. Um, let me see right after that, you got Blair Davenport. There's they do a good little promo on her, nothing nothing too spectacular, about a minute and a half promo, but you know it's given us a little more insight to her. She can speak pretty good. Uh we know what she can do in the ring, so I can see where they're gonna go with
that. You know, they had her running around for a while under a mask and in a hoodie whatever, so uh yeah, they're gonna go with that angle there, because right after that, you've got Roxanne Perez and and Tatum Paxley going at it. And uh, Roxanne, you know, I have to say every time I see her, you know, I hate to keep her, you know, me saying the same thing, but she is definitely gotten better in her and her moves and her timings. I mean,
and and Tatum Paxley. For a while, I was kind of tossing her around, but then you know, the technical side of rock sand takes over and and she's going to end up winning the match. But um, it wasn't bad. Wasn't a bad match at all. Um, you know, Roxanne, I wasn't not on the Roxande train. I'm still not on the
train, but I'm at least getting closer to the station. But after that, you know, they give her the stick, they give her the mic, and of course she goes off and says that she wants uh Blair, but her mic skills still need a little work, need a little work. She got to look just you know where she was standing in the camera all mad. But you know he needs to work a little bit on that, and that'll come with time. That'll come with time, without a doubt.
But yeah, man, that all those matches were pretty good. Right now, we're getting ready for pretty much the U you know, yeah, the end of it, which is bearing Corbin going against drugging off. And I got to say I was surprised, h This match was really really good. Um. And first of all, I did not know that Corbin had so much ink done on his legs. Man, I guess I've never paid attention. And he was in shorts where you could see. But whoever's been doing
his ink work has made a fortune. He has some good artwork all over him. So somebody's making some money. Corban's making some money to be able to afford all that. But in the match, man, uh, they do a lot of classic kind of moves. Uh you know, um, you know, big chops. You know, one time dragging Off like rips Corbin shirt off and starts in on his chest, you know. And uh, I mean it's pretty dog gone good match, you know inside and outside
the ring. Uh, you know, everything looked good. Even look they had a couple of slip ups or a little mess ups, and uh they even covered them up to where it looked good. There was there was one time outside the ring, and I could be wrong, this could have been a set move, but uh, it looked like he was gonna throw Baron was gonna throw dragging Off back into the up under the bottom rope, and
uh, dragging Off slipped a little bit. So he just went with this slip and went right into the side of the ring, which made a kind of a big noise there inside. So it sounded and then looked looked really good. Man. I you know, I kept wanting to when I when I don't know if it's just me being kind of a little uh uh maybe uh just leaning a little towards any time I hear Baron Corban, I'm just not exciting. Uh, you know, it's just not as as and it should be. Man, he's a big guy, uh, athletic. You
know, they should be doing something. He should be in a you know, in a good card or in a storyline. But normally it just, you know, it just doesn't attract my attention. But man, uh, anytime you put dragging off in in with it, you know you're going to have a good match. But in this particular match, they they tore it up. Uh, Corbin like hiptosses dragging off over the top and dragging off sells it. I mean, this is definitely a match worth going back and
watch of the opening match was schism good match. Uh, you know, I can't say anything. It's just those two they sandwiched in between. But yeah, it has what it is. But uh yeah, like in this match, though they said they both look great, Uh, Corbin ends up winning this um and you know it's got to be a screw job. They gotta that's the way it's got to be for Corbin to win. Uh.
And and it is. But you know, you get you get a good i don't know, maybe seven minutes or eight minutes of good action and then then you go back into some storyline where after the match you've got to Uh, let me say, you've got to dragging off and and Baron, Oh, Baron gets I'm sorry, Baron Umu Braun Braun comes in and gets involved in this match and he gets speared for it. But that leads into after the match when dragging Off is pinned. Of course he is going after Braun
uh and Baron with these all these bees Braun Baron. Uh oh, that's kind of confusing me, man. But yeah, so uh Braun and dragging Off of course lead up the ramp and they're head non out, they're fighting, and uh, they're they've got Baron standing in there, so of course Mellow now we're getting him in there at least. But Mellow shows up. So Mellow of course you know, he doesn't miss. Uh, So they get him in there and he throws down on Baron and that's pretty much how
they're going to end the show. And uh, you know, it wasn't bad. It wasn't bad at all. Um. They're they're setting up for a gold rush, of course with all these stars coming in and uh and hopefully some of these younger people, some of these younger guys and gals on NXT will shine while they have a chance at the spotlight. Uh, that's who we're gonna you know, see who steps up, because anybody can. I'm sure. I mean just being on NXT is big. I mean that's
big. But you know when you're bringing in talent like Rawlins and you know, I mean it's you're you're you're getting your chance, You're getting it. You can you know, you can take yourself, you know, straight to the moon as uh as someone we know says, uh, you can do it all with in showcase your talent, or or you can screw it all up, you know. So uh you know that's that's that's where we're at on that one. So uh. And also this week we lost the Iron
Cheek and uh I grew up with Iron Cheek. They brought him into the Memphis territory uh in an early stage to get him ready for some of the big time and uh man, he was good. He was good. He had it. Uh, he had it so good in Memphis, had the crowd so hating him so bad that they had to bring police in at certain times because people had called the TV station and said, you know, me and Bubba are bringing our good down there, and we're gonna kill us an iron cheek and uh, yeah, so they I mean it was uh,
he was utter chaos when he was in the ring. And some of the stories, if you get a chance, uh go back and listen to some of the good stories of some of the old Hall of famers and some of the good jobbers of the territories. Uh, let them, you know,
listen to some of their stories about the Iron Cheek. He was definitely uh in his own room, he was a you know, when you had a whole Cogan, you had to have a super bad guy something like that, or you know, and Bob Backling back in the day, the All American Boy, you had to have a bad guy for them to go. And and as h as Razor Ramon was saying, say, how lo the bad guy, Well to you know, we're saying goodbye to him and we appreciate
uh definitely his career and his entertaining us all these years. So God bless his family and friends. Uh. And man, I guess uh, let me see, I don't think I got any more. So we're gonna kind of do a short abbreviated show this week. I wish I had more to talk about, but it is what it is. Folks. But anyway, guys, as always a rescue if you can. Uh.
