With it being Summer Slam week, there's a lot to get through today. So if it sounds like I'm talking a little faster than normal or abbreviating my answers, it's simply in my own self interest and self preservation of sleep. So it's not no disrespect to anybody who takes the time out of their
day to call or email us, as we really do appreciate it. But as the podcast grows too, it's going to be increasingly hard more difficult to answer every single one at length, so just kind of a forewarning. One of the drawbacks of getting bigger means that you know, not everyone will be included. no complaints about it. Saturday is a much better day, and honestly, I'm sure for the talent and all of the staff who have to do ring work and travel from production to everything else. They probably love that buffer day instead of going directly from a pay per view you know, that ends at eleven PM and then you have to get on the road or get two hours of sleep and then go to another city within a matter of hours. So the transition to a Saturday is better. Plus they don't have to compete with
football as much. I mean, Saturday does have football college football. But anyway, we're gonna get to the emails and do that. You know, let's start right now now for the banter. This is He says, this is a very special weekend for me as I will be attending my very first live event ever at Summer Slam twenty twenty three. Yeah. I can't explain the amount of excitement and a feeling right now. I'm thirty eight years old, but I feel like a ten year old on the inside, all giddy and deliriously happy. Wow, Kyle, your first event is Summer Slam twenty twenty three.
You're going to set The problem with that is I mean, I'm jealous. Of course, that's a personal problem, But what you're doing is setting the bar super high for yourself because any event you subsequent attend is not going to'd likely live up to this event. But enjoy yourself, my friend. So you say I've been a fan since the attitude there, but my parents were always restrictive with my wrestling viewing, especially with how raunchy and raucous wrestling
was at the time. Yeah, I hear you. I had to hide it from my parents for a little while as well, and I don't actually think my parents fully understood it until I came home with a shirt that said, you know, want to see my puppy or I want to see your puppies or something, and it was a Jerry the King Lawler line about the Division w B at the time or the Sucket T shirts. At that point,
my parents started to go, what the hell's he watching? But anyway, so you're saying that I had to sneak around and watch wrestling whenever they weren't paying attention, and they went through the trouble of banning certain channels from our cable subscription so I couldn't watch. None of my friends growing up were into wrestling either, which was tough and lonely. I'd have to rely on recaps of paper views afterwards to see what happened, which is quite ironic considering
I can't stand all the video recaps they do today. As an adult, though, I finally found a community that in the w Podcorse Podcast Discord Chat, that I can share my love of wrestling and chat during live shows with. So I'd like to do a big shout out and thank you to everyone in the Discord Chat for hanging out with me every Monday and Friday and ple night. You have no idea how much it truly means to me. I won't name everyone in the discord Chat, but y'all know who you are,
so thank you. That's awesome. I always say this, but I really wish I had I had time to be in the discord Chat a little more. But I trust that you guys are all being adults and doing what you need to do, and let's talk about wrestling. That's awesome. Yeah, But as far as relating to your situation, Kyle, I had friends. I mean, here's the thing in the attitude are your best chance of finding friends that liked wrestling was at its highest because the wrestling was at its peak.
I mean, wrestling ratings were like five times what they are now. It was mainstream pro wrestling. It was its own entity. It was a monster. It was at times more popular than traditional sports and your best time. So if you didn't have friends that at that point didn't like wrestling, you're certainly not going to find any now well unlikely, although online I'm glad you have found a community. But I remember, not that anyone asks me, but I I remember recording on VHS RAW. I had to, like,
you know, hit the record button. We'd watch the USA network. I try to cut out the commercials, and I my buddy, who didn't have cable, I had to where I didn't have to, I was nice enough to lend him Raw via VHS. That's I mean, some of you don't even know what the hell VHS is or didn't have to go through the pain of VHS and don't even you know, that's not a non factor for
you. But anyway, onto your the rest of your email. So you're saying, I expect great matches at the Summer Slam with great in ring work,
some of the builds have not been that great. Well, here's the thing I have learned throughout the Triple H era, specifically the Triple H era, that the build to the match doesn't necessarily reflect the execution of the match, meaning more often than not, in the Triple Age regime, for the better part of a year, I have come away from the PLS feeling much better than going in and coming out of it saying, Wow, that event was amazing and way better than the build. So I expect that same thing
to happen in Summer's Lame. Okay, So Cody versus Brock, you're saying, is not that great to build anyway, The Women's Triple Threat and the Random Battle Royal they just announced last week, Yeah, I'm amazing they have La Night in the damn Battle Royal. It's anyway, the talent on this card is undeniably good, but should be put on a high level show. The outcomes are very predictable. In my opinion. Roman reigns to retain,
Seth retains and Damian probably cashes in. Oscar retains and Eo probably cashes in. Gunther retains. Cody wins the rubber match, Ronda puts over Shana, Logan Fall gets Logan Fall Logan, Paul gets his first p l E win since last year's SummerSlam, and La Knight wins the Battle Royal. I wouldn't be so sure about that. La Knight has been losing everything. He's a heavy favorite end so honestly, even if he wins this, it means nothing to me, absolutely nothing, And we'll get to that in my preview and
prediction show tomorrow night with Anthony DeMarco. But moving on, so, as mister and missus casual wrestling fan would say, Vegas agrees with me. I'm really hoping that wo throws us some surprises and curveballs and changes up from the current title holders. I don't mind titles changing hands as long as there's a good reason or story behind it. What I would love to see or rather, here are the lyrics. I hear voices in my head. They counsel
me, they understand, they talk to me. I don't think I've ever just read that that's awesome and we would see a Randy Orton return, But how would WW do it. Riddle doesn't have a match of Summer Slam, so I don't know what match or feud they could throw Randy into. They could just have him come out and say back and that would be enough for me. My only question for you is what surprises you see happening at Summer Slam. Just to help sparks some ideas, here's a list of wrestlers we
haven't seen in a while that are still in the roster. Excuse me if some of these have been on an XT. I haven't been able to watch recently. Alexi Bliss, well, she's pregnant, so that's not happening. Aliah Elias, Omas Los Letharios, Johnny Gargano, and the rest of his group New Day, specifically Biggie. By the way, I think Biggie has a big chance pun intended of appearing at the event. By the way I think Biggie is not that I've heard anything specific, but it's been two damn
long and SummerSlam is a good platform. Biggie hasn't been around, and my god, it feels like three years, so I think Biggie is a big possibility. You know, every time we hear he's coming back, we get immediate conflicting reports that he's not, and the doctors are telling him, don't come back, don't come back. But then I heard just recently over the last twenty four hours that Randy Orton is in fact lifting any looks more, he looks more jack than ever, and he's gonna just you know, go against what the
doctor's orders are. He's gonna return anyway. So you know, if I was to put a percentage of chance of Randy Orton returning tomorrow night, I'd say fifty fifty. I know that's kind of a cop out, but it seems the reports have been fifty fifty. So going with what smart money tells you, in fifty fifty chance Randy Orton returns. Now, if he returns, what does he do? I think I actually don't know if he'll return. With Riddle Rills not involved in anything. They seem to be down on
Riddle right now and not really particularly getting behind him. I think you could see Randy Orton return if he does, and r KO Roman reigns after he potentially wins against Jayuso, You're gonna see I think a big return after the very I mean, like, let's be honest, this isn't a spoiler, very heavy favorite of Roman reigns beating Jayuso, and I think Randy Orton could be that candidate to come out and you know r KO, Randy or Roman reigns. If you remember, there is a story there. Randy Orton was
injured quote unquote by the Bloodline before he left last May? Was it last May? He was like, May, it's twenty two, so it's been a over a year. There's a story there. And Randy Orton versus Roman reigns for the undispeeded championship. I'm all for it. You can also have well Dwayne. Dwayne's name has been floating out there. He continues to live on through Grayson Waller. So as long as Grayson Waller keeps mentioning him,
I'm going to keep talking about him. Okay the rock I said it only because Grayson Waller keeps mentioning it. And you did the People's elbow this past week. If Grayson Waller brings out the Rock as a part of a Grayson Waller effect, then you could absolutely see finally a Roman Reigns and Rock confrontation, the one we've all been waiting for that could lead to a WrestleMania match, which obviously wouldn't take place to WrestleMania, and they could easily string it
out that long. Okay, Kyle, great stuff. I'm glad you found a community where you can be your wrestling self. Right. There's no shame here, there's no too big of a fan. Enjoy SummerSlam, buddy. Kyle, and he says, so SummerSlam predictions. First, I think La Night will win the Summer Slam Battle Royal match to get a future US title match. Now let me ask this guy's and I really don't know the answer. What's at stake in this Battle Royal Pride. Everyone that doesn't have anything going on just minutes in front of a crowd. What what is the what is the carrot they're dangling in front of these participants in the Battle Royal?
Is it literally just an opportunity for Pride or is it actually US title match? I don't know from I haven't heard anything, But if it is a US title match, then I think Ella Knight actually does win, even though it's a heavy favorite. But as I said, La Knight being a heavy favorite over the last couple of months has not worked out exactly the way fans of thought. All right, next, I think Logan Paul will win against
Ricochet, Shannon Basil will beat Ronda. I think Cody will beat Brock and after the match, Bray Wyatt will return and start a feud with Cody by attacking him that I have not heard. That's interesting. I think Drew will win the Icy title from Gunther. Charlotte will win the w W Women's Championship from Osca and against Bianca bel Air and the Triple Threat. But after Eo Sky will cash in. Remember when she was e Eo Sharai. I remember that then she had a name change, but she'll EO Sky will cash in.
But after she wins, Bailey turns on EO and wants the championship. Wow, that's a that's multi layer there. That's like peeling back the onion, right. I think Finn will shockingly beat Seth for the World Heavyweight champ been ship, but then Damian turns on Finn to cash in and win. I think Roman Reigns retains, but after we get a huge return and you say, I'll be happy with this one. Finally, finally, finally, the Rock his back. He enters has a stare down with Roman as the

I wish his battle through the Indies was documented like this before he
came back. I would have been a bigger fan, but wwe forced it on us when he returned and overdid his entrance on the pl and Mondayette Raw. Normally I'm not too fussy on the pl E cards, but with it being SummerSlam, the Wrestleman of the Summer, it's an underwhelming card. Not saying Trish versus Becky was a huge match, but after watching brutal brutal promos last week or rather week after week just to witness it on RAW, I get it in Canada for Trish, but still okay, I did not see
the Cody documentary yet I do plan on it. I think it would have helped him, although hindsight being what it is, doesn't really matter. And what I mean by that is the overall overwhelming response to Cody has been positive, like I mean that maybe underdoing it. I don't hear any booze for
Cody Rhodes, and his momentum has been sustained since he returned. I was concerned after he returned at the Rumble, which was very I mean, it was like the worst kept secret in the world, and then he enters number thirty in wins after you know he's been gone. It was just, I mean, I hated that and he felt like, you know, one of the softest victories of his career. But the right I think that it still
would have helped. But I guess no harm, no foul, And as far as Trish and Becky not being on Summer Slam, it is a mind boggling decision. Maybe they just felt that there's not enough time. They've already slotted the eight matches they have on the card for X amount of minutes, and they don't have enough minutes left. Whatever the case may be, I
feel bad for Trish. I feel bad for Becky even more. I really do you know, I'm sure that her wish would be to have a match with her, one of the women she looked up to and inspired her to be a pro wrestler on a main stage in a stadium in ford Field. I mean, like I feel for but I guess I mean knows better than we do at this point. What are your top three possible returns for Summer Slam and what would they fall under which with each storyline? Randy Orton is a number two, and I think again if he if he returns, it's going to be rko On Roman reigns after he retains against Jay And Biggie is another one who does he attack Probably if if he does return, it would be in the Intercontinental title picture against Gunther, if Gunther retains against Drew and then Bray Wyatt. I think Bray Wyatt is also a
possible return, maybe in the Intercontinental title picture or not. But that's my h Those are my top well four, so you get a bonus there. Okay, thank you, buddy. We'll be chatting soon. I'm sure. I want them back to Okay, and there's nothing wrong. There's no bad blood between us at all. And we I mean we, you know, we stay in contact every now and then. And it's just life, guys, that's all. It's just life. You know, life is life is crazy. And we will have them return to the show, trust me, as soon as they possibly can. Okay, I do miss hearing them. I missed their perspectives, I missed their humor, I missed their chemistry. And it's a nice change up from me, right, trust me. I
know I want to hear them just as much as you do. All right, So kuo, let's get to your summer slim predictions and spoilers Drew and Gunther. I'm thinking this match might start Summer Slam. However, I'm booking that Gunther retained so he can continue his icy tutter rain and surpass Honky Tonk's longest icy tutter rain a four fifty four four and fifty four days. But since Summers Slam is known for surprises, I wouldn't be surprised if Drew wins.
Whichever way it goes, it will be a very good match. I It's it's hard for me to comment, right because then it gives away all my predictions. So I'm just going to continue to read Ronda and Shana, hopefully an octagon style match. I'm booking that Shana Basler wins because it seems like this is the end of Ronda, Rolsi and We. But seriously, though, who really is the baby face and who's the heel in this match?
This doesn't make any sense. I can really care less. Well, even if you don't know who the define baby face and hel are, they're leaving it up to the fans to decide, and there's not going to be a cohesive decision. I think fans are gonna be a little split leaning Shana, but generally split and if Ronda design is on our way out, then who You're right? Who the hell cares because it doesn't really affect anyone, But they did at least make you aware of the backstory, and I appreciate
that it was a multi part backstage sit down interview with both women. And even if you don't care or know who the defined baby face and heel are, which ninety nine percent of the time I think is a something something you need to have, is it really necessary in this case? You know, all the backwork, all the legworker would take to try to get the fans to cheer one over the other at this point may not be worth the effort. The juice may not be worth the squeeze, as they say, so
honestly, this is just going to be a bustass match. I believe a physical may not be great. As I said on my show last night, I think it has the potential to be disastrous because if they're trying to mimic MMA in WWE, it's never a good thing to do. Never never name another style of combat that WWE has brought in that has worked in WWE. Remember Showkishi or when no, when Big Show and he wasn't joke Showkishi was his a kind of comedy gimmick. But when Big Show did a sumo wrestling
match that didn't work out well. The brawl for All infamously actually hurt guys. I know. We had also Big Show, who seems to be involved in these gimmick matches against Floyd Money Mayweather, which actually was executed about as well as you could execute a wrestling slash kind of boxing matchup, and that's probably as close as you'll get to a good execution of that kind of a match. Brock Lesner and Kane Velasquez l ol, right, absolutely disastrous.
These just don't work well. Now, to Ronda's credit, she is a trained performer now a trained wrestler. She she knows what the game is. So but my concern is that if you're trying to make it look more at MMA than WWE, but also you're pulling your punches, it could be embarrassingly bad. It really could. It could. I'm not saying it will be, but it could be. All Right, Cody and Brock, this seems to be the conclusion of this feud, and hopefully Cody moves on to a
new challenger or a returning challenger, but who who. I'm not saying it. No, no, no, no, I know what you're doing there, no, no, no, you almost got me. Anyway, I'm booking that Cody gets the wind to finally end this story. Okay, that's
just what I'm gonna say right now. Okay. Number four Osca versus Bianca versus Charlotte for the women's Championship. I'm sticking with my earlier prediction that Bianca wins, but interesting to see if Eosky plans to cash in on the winner, since for the most part, the women's money the bank winners don't hold on for the brief to the briefcases for many months. Good point, good point. Ricochet versus Logan Paul. I'm booking that Logan Paul gets the win
here. I like the progression of this feud, which now involves Samantha Irvin. Did anyone see that coming? By the way, that was a nice touch. I still like that. Hopefully this feud continues for two more ples, because this is the best one I've seen, the best I've seen of Ricochet, and there's probably a lot more to go. I would agree, I would agree that there is more to Rick Cache. We've seen more of
a Ricochet character development in two weeks than we haven't two years. Okay, number six point six here I heard this is going to be some sort of a SummerSlam Battle Royale occurring. Anyway, I want La Knight to be the last man standing. I want this to be the similar coordination of sorts like how Stone Called won King of the Ring in ninety six and began his rise
to main event status and then winning the Rumble of ninety seven. This Battle Royal has the has to be the push for La Knight to at least become the United States Champion or even in the long run, potentially win the Rumble next year. Yeah. See that's the thing again. I have been cautious of WWE giving us a very heavy favorite twice now with La Knight with the United States Championship Tournament and also the Money the Bank Briefcase match, and both
of them he lost, which fans are like, what the hell? But again, there has to come a point where w W pulls the trigger. This pushing him by not looking like they're pushing him strategy can only go so far, and I think it's finally reached that point where there has to be some kind of prize for La Knight. Maybe it's not announced what that is, but maybe La Knight then starts to petition to Adam Pierce. Hey, I won the battle Royale. I deserves you know something, And so maybe
that is the start of La Night on the Rise. You're right, This really to me it should be l A Knight because of that simple fact they need to pull the trigger. You can't play the cat and mouse game with fans forever Number seven Rollins and Balor. This is a tough match because I really want Finn to win, but I got this gut feeling that Seth is going to get the victory and somehow they do. The third match at payback interesting to see if Priest teases another cash in. With that being said,
I'm looking. I'm booking that Rowlins retains at a very close finish. I want to say stuff, but I can't. And last, but not least, Ray and j Part three, the Tribal Combat Championship match. This is another tough one because I really want Jay to win to end this story between
him and Roman that has spanned three years. But I got this gut feeling that Roman retains being an interesting plot twist, and that plot twist is a returning Jimmy Usso what might happen is that Jimmy comes down as the audience steps to allowed the audience pops during some sort of ref bump that ref falls outside the ring from a Roman spear. Well, let me just stop you there, DJ. Somebody needs to come up with the percentage of Roman reins Championship
matches that involve a referee bump. It's got to be in the height, like above seventy five percent. It's got to be because you know a ref bump is coming here, so you are right in line with the rest of his matches. DJ. Jeez, all right, I'm not making fun of you, DJ. I mean, like, you're probably right. My point is like not to laugh at your prediction, but to rather point out the fact that Roman reins matches. It's a staple, now, for better or
worse, to have a ref bump. All right. Then Solo comes out and he and they're in to attack Jay. Jimmy comes to Jay's rescue with a steel chair to attack Solo with a couple of shots. Then Jimmy hits Roman with a couple of chair shots. Jay goes over to the ref. Boy, you've really thought this out. DJ. Jay goes over to the reff so that he can pin Roman, but as soon as he walks over to call for the ref, Jimmy hits Jay with a steel chair. Oh
Roman rakes wakes up with a grin. As Jimmy leaves the ring, Roman goes for the spear on Jay. The reff finally wakes up and slowly makes the count one, two three. Roman retains this is this most likely will not happen the way I thought of it, but stranger things have happened in past Summer Slams. oh Boy. I did not predict I have not had anyone to predict a Jimmy turn on J scenario. I like it. I like it. I know again the rock is an overwhelming thought, an overwhelming shadow in this match. After many believe that Roman's going to retain that the Rocks music is gonna hit. And by the way, if you want to see that happen. Somebody had a TikTok and meshed it well together. Obviously it's not real, but what they perceive could happen at Summer Slam, and it's very convincing.
So if you want to watch that and pretend that it's actually happening and see how you react to it. Of the Rock returning after Summer Slam. After a Roman Reigns holds up his title, go to my TikTok, or rather my TikTok, my Twitter feed, the w w podcast searched me out and I'm the verified blue check mark. So he says, hey, Matt Hope is all as well. I've noticed in the past couple of weeks w w E shows have felt very formulaic and without and many substantial layers in their storylines. SmackDown pre WrestleMania was a super fun show and now, apart from La Knight in the Bloodline story, it's a
tough watch. Let me know your thoughts things. Here's the thing. WWE is now going to figure out how to live in a post Bloodline world. Solo may still be with Roman, but the Bloodline as we know it is obviously shattered unless Jimmy rejoins, and then there are three men group again. For all intents and purposes, the Bloodline story that as we knew it over the last year and a half two to three years is dead and gone.
They'll be reunited, don't get me wrong, and then they'll have a whole new set of opponents in story to as a baby Face group, which is gonna be a whole lot of fun. I predict sometime in twenty twenty four, maybe in a year, but yeah, it has. SmackDown has been on a very very to me, very subtle slow decline in their storytelling over
the last four or five months. Right, they have a lot of it has to do is summer WrestleMania being the biggest event of the year and the biggest storylines come out during that time, so anything after that always feels a little bit you know, downgraded, right, But uh yeah, the La Night right now is a shining star on SmackDown. They should be very thankful
and counter lucky starts for La Night. He's making things feel fresh. I mean, imagine SmackDown right now without La Night, you know it just it's it's a much different product on SmackDown. However, Roman Reigns continues to pull the wagon there and the bloodline story is in need of a massive shake up. I think after SummerSlam things are going to change in a big way. And that's actually what we're hearing that smack The bloodline storyline is going to be,
as we know right now, shifted in a big way. And it does feel like it's time to kind of move on to different things for Roman, no doubt about it. So I think you'll be singing a different tune and about was it today's Wednesday? You'll sing it be singing a different tune in about three days. So okay, now for the positive stuff, I'm really digging this Shane and Ronde feud. Who would have thought that that would
be possible? A year ago. The video package of this past Monday Night Raw was so good at telling the story between these two beyond WWE, and it begs the question, why can't they do this more with storylines? Brockfish's Cody needed a way better video package than they got this week with that horrible choice of music, and even the triple threat match for the women had so
much story you can pull on all three women's and XT days. Yeah, that's I think I brought that point up too, Like Brock and Cody needed this treatment. You're telling me you can't sit Brock down for you know, an interview where Brock doesn't even have to appear. You don't think Brock would rather do that than actually fly deal with people that he hates, which I can relate to deal with people, and then have to fly back. Right, He's notorious for hating travel. Why wouldn't you want that for Brock?
And it furthers a storyline way better than they did this past Monday. Now that this past Monday wasn't bad, it was just kind of more of the same. So, yeah, we still don't have a story. There is no story none for Brock and Cody zero and they're getting away with it because of a star power. That's it, the only reason they're getting away with this where fans aren't in an uproar outside of the fringe fans like myself that there's no story, no explanation. It's been four months and we still don't
have a damn explanation. Are you kidding me? Okay, three months since May, right till three months? So anyway, I'm with you, though, Okay, it's also a shame there will be no rear Ripley title match as well or Dom for that matter. I think WWE is booking themselves into a hole having Ria constantly beat up to beat up with the men. If she can beat up on the men, which which woman in the division will
step up and actually be a credible threat. Well, Roquel Rodriguez is that credible threat, but she keeps injuring Raquel and she's not able to be cleared to compete quote unquote, So Roquel is her I mean, close to an equal as as we've gotten in terms of power and intimidation and muscle mass and all that. So Raquel, I think it's going to be a good opponent once she actually is clear to compete. So there is that. I mean, she can't compete with the men. The men just bow down to her,
you know, because they can't. As I've said, and I'm not ashamed to say this, and no one touches this but me, she's a woman, so no one can retaliate against her, which is nonsense, nonsense, But nonetheless, Ria can't compete with the men. So Raquel is a very suitable opponent. Now why they're waiting, presumably maybe they'll pay back instead of Summer Slam? Are you kidding? Not having the hottest woman in WWE in a match at Summer Slam? What? There are some very questionable decisions
on the card here. Very Lastly, I'm really looking for and by the way, Becky Lynch and Becky Lynch and Roll Rondo. Becky Lynch in Ronda should happen before Ronda leaves. But Becky Lynch and Ria Ripley was teased if you remember that on Raw about a month ago backstage. So I think Becky and Ria is definitely happening. I don't know when, but it will. Lastly, I'm really looking forward to Summer Slam. I do think the card it's great, apart from there being a stipulation in Cody versus Brock. Yeah,
where there is no stipulation? Right? There is none? How is there no stipulation in Brock and Cody? Is somebody breaks your arm and you just want to wrestle them, somebody beat you up in front of your mom and you're You're now restricted to just wrestling rules. No, this makes sense. I don't know. I'm very confused. Wait or am I wrong on that? I'm trying to remember. Some of you out there are probably yelling.
Is there is there a stipulation on Brock and Cody? You would think that there's not, because I don't think there was, but logic would dictate that there is. So if it's a no DQ match, I'd like that it should be no DQ. I don't know, all right, Do you think that Rollins and Valor has potential to be the best thing on the card with priest looming? Yes? I think he who shall not be named might return for a Grayson Waller's segment, But apart from that, I don't think
we'll get any other high profile returns. Last thing very quickly. If you need a co host to do the review show, I'm free and available, so okay, yeah, he who may who shall not be named. But you know, I'm gonna name him because they keep naming him the Rock, right, I'm gonna say it because he keeps being named by name on the show. So I feel like my lips have been unlocked. As far as
coming on the show to do review. The problem is, I'm traveling Saturday night, I'm getting in late, and by the time I watch the show and I'm able to review the show, I will be in zombie mode. So I may be doing it. I may do it Saturday night in a fog, or I may wait until Sunday morning. So with that unpredictability, I hate to tell people, oh, it's this time, and then I change it because I'm too tired or whatever. So like, I appreciate it. If I can bring you on and I have us locked in time,
I'll let you know. But it's it's difficult. It's difficult when I have other things going on in other commitments in a very wonky time that I may do it, may not do it. depth character development from Ricochet. Before this happened, I used to think they should put a mask on Ricochet and capitalize on his superhero ish abilities, make him a real life superhero or a power ranger like character to appeal to a younger audience, much like they did on Luca Underground when he was Prince Puma. He might not get to the top, but if done right, he could sell a lot of merch and be a great asset to the company.
Plus, putting him in a mask will hide the fact that he's almost doesn't have any charisma at all. And that's not an insult, that's just a fact of life. Yeah. Anyway, have a great week and give up the good work, can you guys? By the way, imagine the pop lay night it's going to get in Detroit. He he'll be in the top five, if not top three pops for the night. I mean, just imagine it. I mean, people are ready to blow up for this dude,
and they already have. But on on a large scale, this is the biggest audience lay Night will be in front of since his ascent, So I can't wait to hear the reaction now, diego as far as Ricochet goes, Yeah, again, more character development two weeks than two years. I actually do believe that Ricochet has more charisma than we think he does, only because we haven't been he hasn't been given an opportunity to really show it.
So there is that. And if you remember back when Ricochet was first kind of new on the main roster, he was labeled the in house or the residence superhero of the roster or something like that, so they already kind of knew that he was gonna fel to the younger audience that are not so much
as interested in the in depth character development. They're there for the fireworks, the cool moves, right, and that's what appeals to kids, And that's just the way it goes with kids, right, They're just interested in different things. But you're right, I think there is much more to Ricochet right now. I think Ricochet is benefiting from this program with Logan Paul just as
much as Logan Paul is benefiting this program with Ricochet. These two right now have really found a nice chemistry with one another that I don't think anyone expected. Is it the biggest thing ever? No, but it's unexpectedly better than most expected, if that makes sense. So you monetize Ricochet the right way, give him like I don't want here's the thing, win loser drawn against Logan Paul. I don't want Ricochet to go back to obscurity and back to
being a mute. Right, he's gaining something here. Have you heard the reactions from Ricochet? Raw? They have been exponentially better. Why Because he's being able to connect put the audience in a way that he has not been able to before a microphone, and that is key in success. And so I think after this program they need to continue to give him something to sink his teeth into cutting promos against people. They've found something here with Ricochet,
and I think you're right. He could sell a lot of March, specifically for the younger audience, no doubt. I mean the last time he defended it, of course, was four months ago at Summer or Wrestlemaniam, and that was a real chance, and many people predicted Cody to win.
Clash the Castle against Drew McIntyre was another. But yeah, I guess in a while is correct. Seth versus Finn will probably be the best match of the night in terms of technical wrestling. It's almost impossible for them to have a bad match. I would agree with that. I read that Ronda versus Shane will be loser leaves Town with Ronda leaving the company, but clearly that's not true. They might have more matches with the final one having that stipulation.
Yeah, it could be this town ain't big enough for the both of us. It could be. I haven't seen that official. Will maybe get that official from Adam Pierce on Friday before Summerslime Unsmackdown Tris versus Becky not being on the pl is odd considering they've stretched it out as long as they have just to have segments on rab Yeah, I degree very perplexing with that match. I think a heel and Roque Hell and a baby face Bianca could have
a great program for the title. As much as I don't like Bianca as a face, I feel it would still be good. Yeah, as much as I want Bianca be a heel as well. But I also would rather not see a ton of titles on the judgment day, just because if they're not in a major storyline right now, then it's
not going to work out. That well. I would like to see Damian Priests maybe have a failed passion on seth rawlins during the match and that costs Ben Valor. That would split the Judgment Day up a little and then maybe reasturn on Dom. But this Championship kind of complicates things because I would rather see Dom in his storyline with another factions. Thank you, hey, I think you said Michael Drake. I could be totally wrong on that, but I caught Drake, So first of all, I hope you do do well,
buddy, I thank you for calling in. And Okay, the fact that the Judgment Day you're saying are not involved in a major storyline, you don't want them with all the gold, well, I mean they are very very prominent part of Money and at Raw, I mean and have been for some time, and they are involved in major storylines right now, several major and I would argue that with them having all the Gold, they're automatically in
major storylines. And I think there is a strong case to have Finn win and or Damien Priests cash in shortly thereafter, or one of those combinations of either Finn or Damien winning. And as far as the opinion of having Dom
win the North American title. I love it Dom and Dom. You know, if it wasn't for the way the position and plans the current plans were for the World Heavyweight Championship played out, and you know, with Seth winning and all that to counteract Roman rains as champion on SmackDown, I would think
that Dom would have been a great world everyway champion. But knowing that they had to put gold on Dom given how much heat he has and whether or not it's just a the fans doing a monkey see Monkey do routine with Dom not letting him speak on the mic is kind of irrelevant because he's still getting the just an amazing reaction as a heel. And again, the North American title was the only available singles title that they could have Dom capture, and
they knew they had to strike with the iron's hot. This is not a normal reaction for a heel, at least to buy today's standards, So having him capture the North American title from NXT Wesley was not the worst move in the world. I actually really enjoy it. Seeing Dom as a champion is enjoyable because you you just despise him so much you want to see someone beat him up so badly. That's how you should feel, as you know, seeing a heel, and much more of the case when they have a championship
around their waist. So the only one not carrying a championship or any kind of prize at all is Finn Balor of course, mister money the bank Damian priest has has his quote unquote prize, but he's gonna want to trade that in for a belt. So honestly, those we could either even have Damian and Finn capture the tag team championships and then every member has it, right, you could have that, But I don't know, I mean, but to say that the judgment day not involved in major storylines, I mean,

You know, he's a he's quite quite a bit far away from him. He's like, you know, a universe away from
that, at least as it stands right now. You know, he's he was briefly introduced to the main roster audience, but for most people that see bron Breaker, it would be like the first time they're seeing him, and core Jade could be calling up to hey, I will say this, there's a lot of change coming up, a lot of change after Summer Slam. Pittsburgh. I just wanted to say, um, I will be attending Summer Swam this Saturday in Detroit, and if you need somebody who who's going to be there insight, I'm gonna die. Boy, I'm jealous of you guys. But here's the thing. I again, I've throughout the podcast, I've had another person ask and I don't want to subject to anyone to my schedule, which is just absurd right now with traveling and everything else I'm
doing and inside jobs and everything else. So I will say what I would appreciate if you could, if you want to send a voicemail or email and just give me your quick insight into what you think of the show, some big moments things like that. I mean, again, this is not a
homework assignment. It's all voluntary. You do whatever you want. But that's kind of thing I would appreciate, is inside the show, what you really enjoyed, the crowd reaction, that kind of thing, if you can, UM, that is as far as I'll be able to promise you getting on the show. And and and again, this isn't just you, it's obviously everyone that that's listening to me that it's like, Oh, I'm attending, Can I come on? That's the that's that's the situation right now is for
a review show. We're gonna have to just put that on pause. But I will absolutely accept your in person perspective from a voicemail or email from through that lens. So cool. All right, as far as returns go, I mean, I've already mentioned that if you've gotten to this part in the show, you've already heard my thoughts on returns. You know, everywhere from Randy to Biggie to Bray Wyatt to the Rock. You know, definitely one of them is a returning. But all right, let's get to let's see
two more voicemails I believe so, or maybe just one. Either way, let's get to the next one. Hey man, it's justin from Maryland. This want to get my thoughts when I cover the topics head into the SummerSlam. So first the US title scene, So of course I was disappointed that La Knight didn't win. I think we all thought he would win the events to face Awesome three. So I'm kind of hoping that Awesome Thort thetains because I mean, if Peller Knight is going to win the title, he's gonna
need to be to heal. So I kind of hope they attains. Maybe we'll um he will like win the Battle Royal and then he can like challenge the Payback because I'm just not hoping that theory very change. Um. I mean, he's fine the champion, he just needs more time. Um, he's charact's more work. But it's like they just stop having them more TV for a while. So we're just like okay what they're doing with him. So I just hope that um their very things I'm not I don't like saying.
So he's definitely good in the ring. Um hopefully when Ray comes back, they can you know, have that rematch again. But yeah, I just hope that their y tags. So next Um it's the same that Kevin thoughs is injured, so we're not gonna have him. Well we're not gonna have a tech title that so I'm guessing they will probably do it at Payback. UM. I still think that kill and Saying will probably Utaine. I
don't think the judgment they needed tech titles. Um, I feel like I feel like Dominique, you know Hill hold the um the North American title for a while, but yeah, I just hold that. It's just the same that they don't have to tag titles on the favor of view well TMD and then you couldn't even have strips and backing on on that or even theory on
that. So that's just the same. But um, well, so that's a looking forward cheese, that's be looking forward to, uh Roman the Universal title match of course on the will when I feel like we're gonna get somebody that's gonna return, hopefully Randy comes back, but I don't Yeah, I don't think that Watson come back. I feel like if anybody will come back, it'll be Randy. We get an arkad or then that will set that
up, But I'm not so who to come back. I don't think that they'll have the show and with just Roman holding up the title, feel like they gotta ended, you know, with something big, you know, just like they had Um from Brock came back last year. So I just hope, you know, you get to go over time. So I feel like
that's said. Oh another thing going through, I'm kind of torn between who's gonna win between him and Drew. I feel like Drew doesn't need to win as much as Gunther because you know Gunter is about to break the record. So I'm interesting, like like I would love to see Drew hole the title, but then going through he just on this on this massive room, and
now I don't want there. He is God, it just feels complete when I hear your voice, justin looking forward to hearing your thoughts hopefully on Summer Slam if you have the time to call in after the event. So I I mean at this point though, brother, I mean, I've I've commented on so much that it's difficult for me to comment on anything else. I
appreciate your perspectives. I will say that the Gunther situation with Drew is an interesting one because Drew poses the most US threat to Gunther's run this thus far, no doubt, and does WWE value Gunther being the longest reigning champ of all time, which is going to happen very soon over Drew getting a victory and stopping Gunther, I would hope. So to me again, if you're trying to break records. When's the next time you're gonna have an intercontinental champion
run this long? And you know what, the Romans run is just so egregiously long at this point that any other subsequent run that's going on feels just futile. Or maybe it's not the right word menial, I don't know,
whatever, let me use a better word. It just feels small in comparison to Roman Reigns is run because we're constantly hearing about a thousand days plus, we're closing in on eleven hundred days in about a month, and then you hear about, oh, Gunther, he's been champion for four hundreds days. Oh my god. In any other normal universe of wrestling, you'd be like, wow, that's wow, right, But it seems so small in comparison because of Roman Reigns has run. It overshadows everybody. And that's just the
way it is. It's not I mean, it's not the fault of Roman or anything else. It's just how our minds work when we compare things. But my point is, do I think Drew is gonna win? There's a case to be made. He is the most serious threat. He is a former world champion. He is a proven commodity. He's a legitimate badass. He is a polished wrestler, from promo to in ring, to look to
presence to charisma. He has it all. He has it all and the respect of fans, and he's an absolute believable dude to beat Gunther no doubt. But does he I don't know. We'll leave that for tomorrow's preview. But yeah, as far as Randy Orton returned, he seems to be the consensus of a big return as well as the Rock. But to Randy Orton,
I think it is again. I'm gonna sticking with fifty fifty. I'm gonna say fifty fifty with Randy Orton if he's cleared or if he is clearing himself, because from what we understand, the doctors are saying, don't over wrestle again, and Randy is saying, yeah, screw you, I'm doing what I want. It seems to be the Randy Orton attitude, at least
of the latest reports. But take those reports with a grain of salt, because, as I mentioned at the beginning of the show, every time we hear Randy Orton's coming back, almost immediately we hear counter reports of saying he's never wrestling again, he's never coming back to back injuries, not fully healed, he's not idea, So who the hell knows? But big return or returns happening at SummerSlam. You can bank on it, Yes, and they're
gonna save that, I believe for the Roman Reigns. Conclusion of the show, let me just say that.
