What is going on? Everybody, and welcome to another main event review. We have the two matches to get underway for this week's main event, and we're also reviewing SummerSlam,

which has just passed. And I've finished both nights, and I've got to say that it was a quite underwhelming pay per view in my opinion, And the only reason why I say that is because a lot of the moments were extremely predictable, especially the Seth Rolin situation and all, so a lot of title retaining, especially in the second night, which I think I was wrong on some of those predictions. But I just felt underwhelming for a few matches to

have the same kind of people holding the belt. But it was good overall, and for a two nine event. It's much better when some Slam is a two nine event because of the fact that they obviously get more matches and storylines involved and it leads to more things happening. I just find that the storylines were rushed this year and there wasn't too much of a build up for some certain storylines, so hopefully that gets fixed up in the foreseeable future, but again still was a success nevertheless.

But first we'll review the two matches that happened on main event, starting with a tag team match with Natalia Maxine dupri taking on the Netflix tag team of Carmen Petrovich and Laney Reid, which I'll be honest, I don't know too much about them, but Natalia and Maxine Duprix do get the victory here, so we decide that they want to give their main roster stars a victory, and I think these two needed it, especially given that they haven't really done much since they've been formed as a

tag team. Not really sure what this will mean for them moving forward, but they get a victory here, and now that we have new tag team champions for the women,

they could potentially be involved in a match. We'll have to wait and see on that, but it's a good exposure for the Netflix stars, which I don't really know too much about, but they they obviously showcase their their their stuff on the main roster and their live crowd, so that was good to see for their perspective, and then we had and it's great that we had this match.

It's been a while since we've had a storyline focused match on Unmine event, and it may have not been posted live, but it was a I guess a hype for the six man six team ladder match that were we saw at SummerSlam Johnny Gargano taking on Nathan Fraser. Obviously Kennistray to Maso Champera where they're on ringside, and so was Axiom, So we saw this kind of be a bit more tense than normal and it did lead

to more storyline focus, which is great to see. This is like, this type of match is what I would like to see more on main event, is these sort of mid mid cards pet PLI hypes or feuds with matches like this where Johnny Agano gets the victory due to a distraction of Cannas lay throwing Nathan Fraser off the apron or off the corner. It leads to something and it leads to them obviously going into a match, giving DIY them momentum there, but also just showing how

they can be as single stars as well. So this was a great match. It's just something that I kind of want to see more on main event, and it was great to see those two go at it in a singles perspective, and I think they did a really good job. Nathan Fraser's extremely fast paced. I do like him in the ring, and with Axiom they started really well, but they haven't seem to get any more momentum moving forward.

So hopefully this changes as as we conclude the ladder match, which we'll talk about, but maybe they become in the running to just still fight for those championships there, So we'll have to obviously wait and see for what happens that on that front. But that pretty much concludes main event. It leads into sort of the matches that have occurred on SummerSlam as well, especially the tag team match here.

But we will start with the first match of Night Wine, and that was the match between Roman Reigns and jay

Us taking on bron Breaker and Bronson Reid. Now I predicted that bron Breaker and Bronson Reid will take the victory here to get the sort of faction going, but now with all that we see with Seth Rolins, this victory does sort of make sense for Roman Reigns and jay Uso, and the way it happens is essentially Roman Reigns sacrifices himself for a spear, Juso gets the victory, so they go with jay Usso getting the pin on

Bronson Reed. Which was the right decision that Bronson Reid took the pin because obviously you don't want bron Break to be the fall guy here. It'd really affect his character and they're definitely putting a rocket on him to be the next main guy. So ju So Ramanmines get the victory. This will be a one off obviously, so I think in the end of the day those two will go separate ways. But my question is what will

happen with Roman Regins. Maybe he goes off for another six months before Survivor series, but I don't think there isn't really much for him there. They still haven't got the payoff of him attacking Paul Hayman and there wasn't really much chat on that. So yeah, again, it doesn't really do much for the development of the storyline. I think it's just a feel good match between family, and that's how I see it. There were some pretty decent spots I did like the one deed that they did

on ronson Reed, which was cool. But again they get the victory here doesn't really affect the New Faction too much, which is probably the main thing here that they get protected and we move on to sort of the next stuff. So again we'll have to wait and see how the feud with Roman Mance goes, if he decides to help see Him Punk or if he just goes his separate ways. But again, a very good victory nevertheless, and a pretty decent match for that perspective. And then we get the

I think Women's tagged Him Championship next. I'm not sure if I'm going to go by order, but they go up against Racal Rodriguez and rox and Pez by Day, I mean Charlotte Flair and alex O Bliss, who are supposedly not friends. The match was pretty solid. I like the fact that alex O Bliss accidentally hit Charlotte Flair and you thought for a second that Charlotte Flair was going to turn on Alexibilist and pretty much give up

the opportunity to win the titles. That doesn't happen. Charlott Flair hits Rocca Rodriguez, with a boot and that allows Alexa Bliss to hit the Sister Abigail and get the victory and they become the new tag team champions. That was the right decision, I think, especially because those two, as mentioned, have been a staple in the women's division and it gives them something to do. It's an interesting storyline.

They will probably enjoy this run for a bit. Charlotte Flair looks like she's also having a lot of fun. I think it's a great opportunity for both of them to be very relevant in the main roster while also not being too much involved in the women's Championships and allowing the newer generation to sort of focus on that. But again, the one thing I do like about it is that they elevate the women's tag team division as

well being an attack team Championship champions. It shows that they're going to have a lot of TV time and

sort of flex that their muscles on there. So that was awesome, and I think the match was pretty good overall, and it's great to see that Flair is happy and enjoying her wrestling, because I think coming from this injury, if she went straight into the title race, I think a lot of people would have hated on her, and the fact that she's come back from what's happened with Tiffany Stratten, this has been great for her as well. We then get the match between samu Zain and Carrion Cross,

where Samuzin gets the victory. Here we saw Scarlett try to tempt Samuzain with using the pipes, which was a pretty decent moment, but obviously samu Zain prevailed, and I think that was the whole purpose of this match was for Carring Cross not to get Samy's dark side, which was proven right and it was a quick match. Look, I don't know what happens with Cross next, but it's great to see Cross at Summer Slam. For the time

that he was there. He performed decently in the ring, but nothing to a point where I think that he was an amazing in ring performer. But a lot of his stuff out of the ring, especially his promo work, is great, so hopefully there is something for him in the future. It obviously elevates Samuzain and we get closer to the idea that he could potentially be a world champion. They keep bringing that up and I think that that's

going to happen eventually. I've got raw rumble as the Pennsylvanian winner being Samusein because of the fact that it is in Saudi Arabia and they're hyping this up. It makes a lot of sense there. So let's see what happens next. For for Samusein, I think it's too premature he goes for the World Heavyweight Championship at the moment, I think that's something that can be set up for next year. But he gets the victory, and I think it was expected here. I did predict. I'm pretty sure

that Samusein would get the victory there. So he gets the victory, and then we get the match between Tiffany Stratten and Jade Cargole, where I thought that Jay Cargle was gonna win the match given that they were ready to give her sort of the belt there. But based on this match and it being so short, it makes sense that Straddon gets the victory here with the prettiest moussault. Ever, it does make a lot of sense given that maybe Jay Cargole's not ready to take the responsibility to be champion.

She still hasn't connected with the fans. And I said it and I'll say it again, the best way for Jake Cargle to have some momentum and sort of have an identity is to be a heel, and I think this match needs to be that kind of opening for her to become a heel. The fans didn't connect with her, she didn't get the victory, and it's easy. She can literally go on a ram to say that the fans haven't appreciated her for being so in such good shape

and being like a physical specimen. So those are some perfect kind of angles that she can use to sort of encourage her arrogance, which she has, and it's not a bad thing when you are a heel, it works perfectly and also just be rude to the fans. But I think all that can be well and good, but she needs to be able to last more than ten to fifteen minutes in a match, and I think that's the next step for her, and for someone that can't do that at the moment, I don't think can be

a champion. So I think WW made the right decision keeping the belt on Stratton. Even though her run hasn't been very significant, she is still getting large pops from the fans and I think that's very impressive in itself. So that was another incorrect prediction from my site. Another incorrect prediction was the next one with Jelly Roll and

Randy Orton taking on Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre. And I was very happy that I was wrong in this prediction because I really didn't want the celebrity to get the victory here. And when I say I'm not happy about Jelly Roll being there, it's got nothing to do with Jelly Roll specifically. I just don't like the idea of seeing superstars like Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre taking

on a sort of celebrity match here. Like I think their program is a lot better solo and allows Logan Paul and Jolly Roll to go up against each other. I do respect Jelly Roll a lot. He took a lot of heavy spots here. The splash from the table was impressive. He took another splash from Logan Paul. He took a claim more so you've got to give him credit with credit due. He came out there, he worked his ass off to get into the ring, and he did a fantastic job. And WW gives the victory to

Logan Paul and Logan. Paul has been on a hot streak. He's been winning a lot of key matches at SummerSlam and before at WrestleMania, so doing a great job there. So they get the victory. I think we're going to see Randy Ordon and Drew McIntyre challenge for the w W Championship. I think they're going to be around that kind of talk as it stands, but we'll continue and get to that once we hit that part as well there, but the tag team of Logan Paul and Drew McIntire

get the victory there. We then get the match between Gunha and Sam Punk, which was a pretty long match. Sam Punk lasted there for a very long time. We had Guntha bleeding as well from the face. He's face busted right open, which was pretty which is pretty good. It was from i think the ring at the back of the announcing table, and then we had Punk bleeding from the chest from all the chops. So the chops

were very heavy. I'd hate to take a chop from Guntha, but it was great to see that that happened as well. Then we had Punk winning beating Gunsa and becoming the world heavyweight Champion by hitting two go to sleeps in a row, and it's great to see Punk with a title in his hands to celebrate that and also have that feel good moment. It's not really good for Gunha.

I think Gunthha has lost all the big matches, which is sad, and you really think that Gannha deserves more here, and I really thought that he would get the victory if what was going to happen after that didn't happen. So I'm gonna say I predicted it, because yeah, I

did mention it last week. But Seth Rolins comes out and at the point you think that he's coming out with crutches to basically let Punk know that he can literally cash him any time and tell him to be ready, and then as he walks out to the back, you just know you have that feeling there's no reason for Seth Rowlands not to come out and do that. So he drops his crutches, a pretty iconic move, sort of similar to what Diesel or Kevin Nash did back in

the day, but just a little bit more different. He comes into the ring and he's obviously faked his injury, which I'm so keen for him to explain the rationale behind that, because I don't know if he was trying to put La Night over. I don't know how it kind of worked because where does La Night kind of get involved in this and that match specifically. But again, Seth Rollins comes in froze the briefcase into Punk before

Punk was about to hit him. If we go to sleep, and you thought in that moment that Punk looked ready for it. So I don't know if it was a bit of symbolism there that se Rolins wanted him to literally know that he was coming and not getting him while he was proper down. But he hit him with a briefcase, then hit the stamp, and then won the World Heavyweight Championship. So Seth Rolins is the World Heavyweight

Champion again no surprise to a lot of people. I think WWE tried their best to hide this injury, but when you don't see an official diagnosis from any media outlets, you sort of have that feeling that it is fake. And I think that's where people sort of saw this coming, and definitely I did, and I not upset about it. It's just that obviously it was predictable, so you can't really be crazily excited for it, but again, it's really good to see that Seth Rowlans is the champion. It

makes Punk more frustrated. It continues that feud going on, which is feel like it's gone forever, but at the same time, it hasn't concluded either, so we're going to continue seeing those two go at it against each other, maybe all the way until WrestleMania. However, what I do see here is that they're probably going to hype up. And it's my opinion either if Sami Saying doesn't win the Royal Rumble, the second best option is probably bron Breaker.

If he does win it, they might go with the similar angle that Battista did when he was with Triple H Seth Rowlands encouraging bron Breakers to challenge for the WWE Championship, but he ends up staying on raw, putting Seth Rolins through a table. They do like to do nostalgic flashbacks, and I think bron Breaker sets that up to be perfectly executed if they do go the right way, and it feels as though that that could potentially happen, and that's something to look out for. That's just a

bold prediction. That that could have, and I think it could be that it could be Samyzay and fighting Seth Rowlins to finally get his wrestle Maymia moment, or it could be Punk end up just prevailing and beating Seth Rollins. But there's a lot of angles there. As much as I love gunthan as much as I do love him as a champion, I do think that a storyline with Seph Rowlins is a lot more interesting. The fact that he's got his faction group. He needs to have this

title to sort of back that. It really shows that he's controlling Raw and the WW and he's changing the industry altogether. So I think they made the right decision giving Seth Rollins the title here, and very excited to see how Raw will be when he does speak about it. So that concludes Night one of the show, So a pretty that's night one there, so awesome to sort of yeah lead up to night to Triple Ah saying you see nothing yet, but again I do say it's awesome.

But then at the same time, I think it was very predictable, so still underwhelming, but I guess the execution was pretty solid, so I'll give that a overall probably about a seven out of ten or even a six out of ten to begin with. But then we go Tonight two. We got the triple threat match for the Women's World Championship, and we got Naomi getting the victory

here with a roll up to Rear Ripley. So Real Ripley once again gets screwed over, and that's been the storyline of Real Ripley trying to fight these championships, and Naomi retains, and I'd predicted that and it was expected. What I did like off wrestling moment was his dad was her dad going into the ring and making that entrance in guitar for Naomi to come out. That was

quite cool. But again, Naomi's probably gonna take on Stephanie Vacuire for the title Clash of Paris, which makes a lot of sense given that Naomi just won the title. So I don't know what's next for Real Ripley and Eero Sky. Maybe for a laugh, they form a tag team. I don't know, that's just going out of left field there, But again a victory for Naomi and that continues her

heel run with the title too. We then get my most anticipated match, the twelve man six Team TLC ladder match for the WWE Tag Team Championships, and we had Dexter Loomis and Joey Gacy of the White Six retaining the tag teams as predicted. And the reason why I predicted this is they had the numbers game, they had Uncle Howdy, they had Eric Rowland, and they also had

Nicky Cross all get involved. And before I sort of talk about them getting the victory and what it means for the division, I have to give all every single person involved credit here because there was some amazing spots, unbelievable spots. I really liked the Spanish fly off the table with Axiom and I'm pretty sure I think it was Angela Dawkins. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that Spanish fly I was simply unbelievable. There was a lot

of table shots. We had Candice Lay fall off the ladder, Johnny Gargana pushing the ladder and her getting botched or getting destroyed by the ladder was also unbelievable. We had Uncle Howdy get pushed off onto a ladder. Two So everyone that wasn't even involved in the match was willing to take some massive bumps and those guys are going

to feel really sore. The White Six do maintain the titles, and I like the idea of them maintaining the titles, but this doesn't really solve the issues in the Tag team division. I feel like this is just going to continue to go on and on. There's going to be always tensions in that division, which which is great to

see and that's what we want. But again, you think that a match like this would solve the issues, but again, I think it just makes them more problematic because who's going to be the ones that are competing for the title, because all of them seem to be against each other and wanting to win the tag team championships. There, the SmackDown tag Team division is just on fire and you don't really know what you can do because everyone can literally be a potential winner there and that's what we love.

And on the other side, you got Raw that that really sucks at the moment. So I think they might have to just unify the titles just to make the Tag team division more interesting or else they're going to have to really up or improve the side on Raw, and I don't know how to do that. We've SmackDown sort of just dominating that as well well. We then have the match between Lara val Curia and Becky Lynch for no disqualification. We had some crazy things that happened.

Lara vacure with cable tires, We had the fire exting which are We had Becky Lynch using the chain on Lyra's mouth, which was quite crazy. So this was a pretty brutal match. For probably out of all the matches, here had the best feud, I would say, especially this going on pretty much after WrestleMania and dragging onto some Slam, and the way that it ends is Bailey coming in punching Laara Valcurra unintentionally and giving Becky Lynch the victory,

which was a big surprise. I think that was something that, yeah, I guess was a surprise there. I know that Becky Bailey was sort of still involved, but I really thought that Lara Valkira was going to get the victory and have her feel good moment. But it turns out Bailey

had something to say about that. It obviously looks like an accident, but Laara Valkia is not going to think that, and as a stands, it doesn't seem like she's going to be able to fight for the title again, So it looks as though Becky's going to move on to Bailey and we're going to see that feud kind of kick on, because yeah, Lara Valqui unfortunately has her last chance.

So that's pretty much how that match went along. And Becky Lynch continues to be into Continental Champion and I'm very happy with her sort of run at the moment, so it's not a bad thing and it's not the worst for Becky to sort of keep the title there. We didn't have Solo Sokoa taking on Jacob Fattou in a steel cage match, another one that I was extremely

excited for. We had a lot of distractions from the NFTs and that's sort of as to why Solo Socola did end up getting the victory here, and yeah, just again seems underwhelming. He walked out of the cage. Obviously, distractions go law and that's what caused the victory here. But we did have Jacob Fattou do a moon salt off the top of the steel cage, hitting jac Matteo

and Tangaloa, which was a great spot there. It seems as though those two are going to be the battering rams while we have Talatongas as the new sort of enforce on the one that's getting extremely protected here as well. It's really good to see that Solo Sokoa was still very solid in this match, showed that he really, I guess, can be a powerhouse as well and not want to

be underestimated. But again, the mossot was probably the highlight of this match, and I think Solo Socoa will retain the title as it pertains to this kind of feud, it doesn't really stop. And look, I don't know how they're going to end this one too, because it's either going to be ended with Fatu getting his feel good moment winning the US title or he just moves off it completely and just becomes destined for for better things.

So again we'll have to wait and see. Solo I think needs to move on from sort of this because I think, yeah, it's it's just becoming too much now, and I think Solo has shown that he can be a main event and I really think he is elevating the US title making it very significant here and that's something that it's great to see. We then have the match between Dominic Mistira and aj Styles This was an

awesome touch. I really liked the Aj Styles touch, obviously paying homage to I love that word now because Michael Hall uses it every second, paying homage to Eddie Guerrera coming into the low Rider with his son wearing the Eddie Guerrera pants and also doing a bit of life steal, stealing and chilling tricks. I really like the spot where Dominique Mysterio pretends to fall down with the chair and then AJ puts the chair on his head pretending to

fall down too. But the match ends with the ref getting a bump and dominic hitting AJ Styles with his own shoe and then getting the victory here, which was expected. We expected Dominique Mosterior to retain the title and in

a way of cheating method which is great. No judgment day are present there, which was nice, as well as a clean one on one match which was good to see, but again it was still fund the way to win dirty and for AJ Styles obviously he wasn't going to win the title, but I think he did really well to hype this run up and is this the last

time we see AJ Styles compete for on SummerSlam. It might be the case, but he looked really good out there, and I really liked his character, and he's built up to this feud and I think he did a really good job, and Dominicusterio deserves to continue to keep the title and I think for a really long time, and it's going to set up an eventual fight with him in Finbala. I think that's where we're looking towards, and

I think that's what's going to happen eventually there. And then we finish off with honestly one of the matches of the night, if not the match of the night, and one of the best matches at SummerSlam I've seen for a long time. I'll be honest. That main event was simply incredible. It went for so long. It was a street fight between Cody Rhoads and John Cena. Cody Rhoads becoming really emotional after winning the belt, doing the

salute before hitting the crossroads on John Cena. Before that, hitting a very brutal Cody Cutter, but unbelievable the kickouts, three kickouts to cross roads. I know a lot of people weren't like that, but it is John Cena, and you let him get away with it. He kicks out at A three Crossroads. You had Cody Roads kicking out of a few aas. We had like six aas off the table. The stage kind of elevation was quite cool.

When John Cena came up in the air and had Cody Roads set up for an AA and a fireman's carry, that was awesome. And they fought backstage, they fought into this crowd, they fall into the stage. That was just

simply great. And Cody Rhodes gets to victory here. And all I got to say is that if it wasn't for the Rock, and if it wasn't for Travis Scott, who those two shouldn't should be ashamed of them asselves, especially the Rock and making the heel turn about him and then just leaving John Cena kind of isolated was a joke and it really sort of ruined John Cena's heel turn. It's great to see that we got to see how John Cena could be as a heel. Obviously, no one is going to cheer for Booth for him

because obviously it's his last year. But John Cena can definitely play a heel character, and that's what he proved. The only problem was that the Rock decided that he wanted to make it about himself and there was no angle on John Cena is selling his soul to the rock and sort of that being brought up, and that was probably the most exciting thing that would have been played out in this. And then you have someone like

Travis Scott who is not a professional. He's not like Jelly Roll that really cares for the industry and put in the work. They let go of him, it seems, and they thought that he wasn't obviously taking it seriously enough to make this storyline significant, and he didn't. He wasn't good enough at all. He really ruined the feud as well, especially started when he smacked Cody Rhodes in

the face. That was just disgusting. So, yeah, there's no payoff for him getting hit through a table, but at least we can safely say that he should never be in the ring again, and he should never be there.

And this is coming from someone that actually doesn't mind his music and has been to a concept, but there is no for him in wrestling, and if he's going to be like that, there is no place for him period involved in these storylines so big and it really ruined John Cena's sort of he'll run, but at the same time, he was able to really transition into that face quite quickly, especially with his promo mentioning that the people that he stuck up with just abandoned him and

left him alone. And to be honest, they truly did leave him alone because he wasn't able to really encapsulate his storyline as a heel and had to really make stuff up on the fly. But we get the normal John Cena. It was great to see him run out as the baby face he is. He very much suits that the crowd was rooting for him to win. I think everyone deep down knew that Cody Rhodes was going

to win. I sort of suspected that John Cena would win the match, but it did change once I did watch SmackDown, and obviously I put out main event before that, and he obviously turned face. So yeah, again, very very interesting. Cody Rhodes now wins the title, and I think John Cina is going to close his run and his last four months with just a bit of fun and just

kind of tie ups of loose ends. So we thought we had brock Lesna enter the ring, and I sort of had a feeling that that was going to happen. I know that there was some rumors and stuff, but I definitely expected it. I don't know why I knew that the Rock wouldn't come out, but having brockles now was pretty cool. The pop was massive, and that's going to be a sort of feel good story as well.

I know a lot of people are upset about it, given that he's obviously has some lot of crazy allegations to him, but if I take out all that and let that be sort of dealt with on the side, having brock Lesner back is always good for WWE, and hopefully we see a pretty solid feud between Johnson and brock Lesna, and I think that will set up something pretty cool to close out his final year and if he is there for long term, there's so many things

brock Lesser can do. There's Paul Hayman around, there's gun Thah and brock Lesna, which is the match that everyone sort of wants and everyone hopefully can get. And again, this will be a great way to close in and I think Johnsena requested this, so you can't knock back a request from John Cna if he does want to take on opponents that he wants, then he has the right to say that. But again I'm not going to speak on the legal stuff because I don't know too

much about it. WWE must know something for him to come back, so I'll just leave it at that. But again, it's been another sort of main event review heavily focused on SummerSlam as well, so really appreciate you guys tuning in and I'll catch you guys next week to what will be hopefully normal proceedings as usual. But then we have Cash Embarrass in maybe three weeks, so we'll be

back to sort of reviewing that as well. So really excited for Raw coming up and I'll definitely be reviewing those clips too, So take care guys and i'll catch you then.
