Episode description

You’ve probably had one of these moments before.

You sit down for a writing session, and it feels like the words are just flowing freely from your keyboard.

Characters come to life, scenes and worlds and dialogues are vivid and compelling. The story is taking on a beautiful shape right before your eyes. Your fingers fly over the keys with adeptness and agility, seemingly taking on a mind and life all their own.

Those moments are amazing. But for me, they’re also somewhat rare

If you’ve been writing for any significant amount of time, you’ve probably also experienced times when you’ve sat down to write and finding the right words feels painstakingly difficult.

The well is dry. The ideas...aren’t coming.

The cursor flashes at you, mocking you.

Try as you might, the inspiration just…isn’t…there.

So, how can you keep making progress - how can you keep writing - when you aren’t feeling particularly inspired?

On this episode I share 4 tips from my own experience that might help you keep moving forward when you start to stall out.

About me

After years of putting it off, I'm finally writing my debut novel. I'm learning so much along the way, and connecting with other authors, entrepreneurs, and creatives.
