Two promotions in a row. Five wins in a row. We couldn’t be hotter! Looking forward to our meteoric rise continuing with the 2024/25 season. Up the town!!
Up the freaking town!
He hit 100!! Mullin hit the century mark with his goal at Colchester... followed by the game-clinching header by Max Cleworth. WHAT A MATCH. With four games remaining, will we make it to the top?
The Lion King had a glorious outing with two stellar goals worthy of a top 10 spot for goal of the year... followed up by a superb Mullin score gaining us a 3-1 victory AWAY FROM HOME. Fantastic. Joined today by Matt Green to chat more FA Cup, March Madness, and West Ham’s prospects for the rest of the season.
Two home games, zero wins. Exciting games though they were, definitely feeling a little down after two consecutive matches of ZERO GOALS. Where’s the offense?
Despite an early disaster, we rallied and absolutely dominated our first away game in what seems like all season. Mullin is back in his typical form and he’s got his mate, Ollie Palmer, right there with him. Up the Town!
From depressingly low to walking on clouds, this week has been a rollercoaster! Welcome to Wrexham legend Shaun Winter joins the show this week to talk about his world outside of Wrexham AFC... as well as plenty of discussion about the team and our future.
A draw and a loss are not my favorite way to celebrate a birthday but I guess you work with what you’ve got! Two crazy matches and a lot to talk about today on the show.
After four losses in a row we had a killer comeback week! First we went away to Sutton United where Elliot Lee secured the victory in the waning minutes. Next our rivals came to our house in one of the most entertaining and nail-biting games of the season.
Three league games in a row, four in all competitions. We are getting obliterated in the game plan and not adapting. My tune is changing on us winning the league.
It went horribly wrong with ten minutes, followed by more horribleness... and then some more. It’s our third game in a row to lose and 6 points dropped in league play. It’s safe to say we have to figure out our away strategy.
It was not our day. Wrexham have officially been knocked out of the FA Cup as the giant we were trying to slay just would not die... or more appropriately just stomped all over us.
It wasn’t the best showing we’ve had this season unless you’re judging by the amount of cards we received. The ref was on full display this week, doling out 25+ fouls with 10 cards which greatly impeded any momentum that either team mustered at given moments. It was a pretty miserable game.
Back in league play, we started off slowly against Wimbledon... a trend that I’m not exactly enjoying. However our second half was a barrage of scoring chances, ultimately capitalizing on two of those shot. We maintain our second place slot in the league table!
The FA Cup lives up to expectations yet again. Phenomenal game between two squads that aren’t far apart in the football pyramid. Clinched by the Mullet Man late in the second half, Wrexham sent Shrewsbury back to the locker room and out of the FA Cup race. Up the town!!
It’s been a heck of year!! Promotion, new players, new opponents, and this podcast was created! I am so incredibly grateful for all who have come on the podcast and helped it along its way.

After a disappointment at Accrington, the Wrexham squad bounces back in a defining way against playoff contender Morecambe.
Everyone calm down. We’re not even halfway through the season and people are treating our Accrington loss like it’s time to rebuild the squad. Jake talks about this and our upcoming match in today’s episode.
A special guest joins the podcast to chat about Notts County, the rest of the season, and the wonderful things that the Wrexham community is all about. Jake also analyzes the Gillingham game and gives his prediction for Accrington next week!
Yesterday marked the opening match of my favorite style of sport... the tournament. Wrexham looked in control for most of the game and were able to pull off the victory versus fellow League Two competitor Mansfield. Also this past week was the release of ”Hand of Foz” in which the documentary series did a phenomenal job building up the biggest and most exciting game in National League Football history.
What. A. Rivalry. And what a game! Wrexham comes through with two goals in four minutes in the second half to take down #2 Notts County. And today we have one of their ardent supporters on the podcast, Luke Middup, to have a fantastic chat about the rivalry, the game, the documentary, and the future.
It wasn’t a pretty one but we got the job done! The feet of Mullin and Lee led us to victory in this hard fought and somewhat disappointing defeat of the worst team in the league, Sutton United. And then a review of the episode titled ”Glove Triangle” and boy has Jake got some things to say about some lunacy in this episode.
What a game at Bradford City!! Not the result we wanted but a heck of a match. Jake analyzes and comments on the game, gives his prediction for Sutton, and analyzes the episode ”The Grind” of Welcome to Wrexham.
It’s been more than a week since the last episode, so Jake’s got a lot to catch up on! Crawley, Crewe, and Salford... three games, three wins, and we’ve got a lot of opinions. Plus Jake chats about the episode ”Giant Killers.”
In yet another storyline added to Season 2 of Welcome to Wrexham, the women’s teams is showcased in their quest for promotion to the paid level of the pyramid!
