Episode description

Correctional facilities in Australia are home to over 40,000 people, and wounds are a significant issue.  From self-harm and stabbings, to leg ulcers and diabetic feet, the mix is quite unique.  This week the Wound Doctors talk to Justice Health Nurses, Linda and Nicki, who discuss the types of wounds that affect people who are incarcerated, and explain how these wounds are looked after.   This episode lifts the lid on wounds ‘on the inside’ and highlights the exceptional work of those nurses who deliver healthcare in correctional facilities.
