Get everyone's sam here and welcome to another motivational moment. This is a perfect one for a Monday. Let's face it, you have a good Monday, you have a good week. I absolutely believe that. But leading it to chance or just hoping things turn around all on their own probably isn't the best way to go about it. So there's three things I like to do on a Monday, the three piece, Pause, prepare, and pomp up. All right, we're
going to get into that. So pause. It might sound like a strange thing to do because obviously the week takes off, but that's the whole point. How quickly does it go from zero to one hundred when Monday comes? You know, you open up your calendar, your seat. It's full of appointments and meetings and drop offs, and it can just get very chaotic and very overwhelming very quickly. So instead of jumping on the treadmill at twenty kilometers an hour, why don't we take a minute to pause?
First thing on a Monday. Now, that might be meditation. It might be going for a nice quiet walk. It might be doing some gentle stretches. It might be simply walking outside getting some daylight, letting that sun hit you in the face, and just spending a couple of minutes taking some big, deep breaths. But it's all about you being in control. Don't get thrown onto that treadmill like
you don't have control over it. Take a minute to pause and prove to yourself that you are going to control the pace of your week, not the other way around. Then there's prepare And I like to write things down. It's been proven that it helps us compartmentalize, and it helps us deal with things by breaking them down into constituent parts. Often when we just go boom, look at this week. Oh my god, where do I start. It's Monday,
It's Tuesday. Look my way. It's so crazy. I don't know what I'm going to do, and I do this. I've experienced this, I've been a victim of this. But if I write things down, Okay, this is what my week actually looks like, This is what my calendar actually looks like. Here are my priorities. I even like to look at where are my gaps where I'm going to be able to give myself some love? And I like to write that down. I'm going to go for a walk there, I'm going to get a haircut there. I'm
going to get a massage there. Whatever. It might be just a little bit of me time to keep the balance palatable, which leads to the next one, which is pump up. You're going to take it one step further. You're going to actually put something in there that is going to excite you that he is going to fill
up your cup. Now, you don't have to do this on a Monday necessarily, but at some stage early in the week, you're going to plan something that's going to occur before Sunday night hits that you're looking forward to. It might be a movie that you've been waiting to see for a long time. It might be book yourself into a restaurant, it might be catch up with a friend. Because if we have nothing to look forward to, all of the other have to do tasks can become a
real grind. Whereas if you are doing those because it's a means to an end, as you are moving towards something that you're genuinely looking forward to, every single one of those things is going to become a little bit easier.
So I think it's really important to not just live day to day, you know, to not just wake up and then automatically put yourself in a bad mood or on the back foot, or in a feeling of stress and anxiety because you've sort of stuck your head in the sand and I don't want to look at tomorrow because I know it's busy, know what's coming. Give yourself time to deal with it, give yourself space to deal
with it. And it's like anything, you've got to remind yourself if I say no to something, the world's not going to end if I cancel something or postpone something, because it's important to me to give myself a little bit of space. And I feel like this week is totally out of balance. That's okay, people will understand the world wig and end. It's really important that you manage the kilt of your stress levels, your overwhelmed levels, and your busyness levels. You know what your task is going
to be this week. We're going to beat those Monday blues by you doing the three piece. And if you're listening to this a little bit later in the week, you can start it next week. Pee pause first thing in the morning. Second, pe prepare, look at your calendar, put some spots in there for you but get yourself organized, and then pump yourself up, get yourself excited, write that thing down, have it there, up in lights, and everything else will be more enjoyable because that's what you're chasing.
