Good morning.
Good morning.
And welcome back, guys, to the Woo Woo Channeling Crew. I'm Denise.
And I'm Missy.
And today we're going to do a continuation of crystals part two. You know, I was listening to last week's episode and I came out of the box like, Hey, hi, hi guys, it's Denise. And I was like, What's going on here? And I remembered that we were giggling a lot before we hit record.
We were
We were giggling and being goofy. But yeah, part two. Missy, wanna start?
Yeah. So what we thought we would do today since we discussed a lot about crystals last week, and introduced you to crystals and their uses, we thought we'd go a little more in-depth today about the metaphysical properties of the crystals that we use at each chakra center and then also discuss kind of their hardness so you know, which ones need to be perhaps cleaned a certain way or which ones can't go in water or, you know, which ones are more delicate. And so we wanted to take you kind of through that and also educate you on different ways that you can use the crystals. So setting up a crystal grid, perhaps you want use a pendulum. And then we thought we'd finish up with a little bit about clearing, programming, and storing crystals, and then maybe a few fun facts as well as the common questions that we get around crystals.
So stay tuned. There's gonna be a lot more information. We're gonna go a little more in-depth today, but I believe this is a good continuation from our, previous episode recently published crystals 101. So we're sort of toying with calling this crystals 102, but either way, we're glad you're here.
So when we look at crystal hardness, they usually grade it from one to ten, one being the most sensitive, 10 being the strongest. Some examples as a weak number would be talc, literally talc powder, something like a baby powder. Super sensitive. If you got water on that, it would disintegrate. Right?
Two, gypsum, chrysocolla, amber, lepidolite. I know we talked we touched on amber a little bit. That's, like, around two, two point five. When you look at level three, it is like calcite, celestite, azurite. And I was shocked to see malachite is a 3.5. That was really interesting to me. I didn't realize it was that gentle and that soft. Number four, I have fluorite, larimar, rhodochrosite. Think I'm saying that correctly.
Rhodochrosite. Yep.
Rhodochrosite. And then number five is apatite. One of my absolute favorites. The blue doesn't even look natural for anybody who wants to take a look at that. Obsidian, cat's eye apatite. And then I see here hematite.
I feel like that's not right. For a number five?
Yeah. It's falling between five point five and six point five.
So what would that hardness equate to?
I was gonna go into that afterwards, but since we're here, five and a half would be glass or a knife blade.
Okay.
So I don't know why I thought it was stronger than that. And Missy, that's a good point to give examples so that this will make sense. Number six, carnelian, opalite, fire opal, star moonstone. Number seven, I got clear quartz, tiger's eye, amethyst, citrine, rose quartz, garnet. And then and they, like, put a 7.5, which I I thought that was interesting, but garnet fell under that as well.
Aquamarine, specifically cat's eye aquamarine, and emerald. Number eight, beryl, topaz. Number nine, I have ruby, sapphire. And then number 10, an example is a diamond.
Yeah.
Right? Diamonds cutting glass. And so if we're saying that, number six was glass, by the way, number six Peridot is in there also. So let me just look at the examples. And this is from the Mohs scale, M O H scale. A fingernail is two and a half. A penny is just under three. A knife blade and glass is five and a half and a good steel file is six and a half.
Yeah.
So, I mean, once you go past a good piece of steel, like a steel file, everything else above that is really tough.
You know, and I'm really shocked to be honest with you that opal is, I think it, what did you say? Six and a half?
Yeah, like a six and a six and a half. And I'm shocked that hematite is a five. Like it's just so rock solid to me. Now I have seen hematite rings shatter. I've also seen them shatter when people are angry. It's amazing how hematite absorbs and then it breaks. But I don't know when I look at like the braces, they look so solid and masculine and you know what I mean? So that was shocking to me.
I think part of that is the color of hematite. Right? It's this kind of shiny, gray. It almost resembles steel. So you would think that hardness would be a little bit more. And opal is my birthstone. I was born in October. And I've just always known opal to be super delicate. They say, oh, be careful. Don't get water on it. You know, it can crack or it can chip. And yet it has hardness more than the hematite. So Right. Now I'm just gonna start throwing my opal opals around. There you kidding.
But And it's and it's and and I I don't know if it's different. It says opalite fire opal. Like, is that much different from the original opal?
Yeah. So the fire opal actually, like it sounds, has if you look at the colors in it, you'll pick up bits of yellow and red. So there are different types of opals. When I visited Australia back in, oh gosh, a long time ago, I won't even name the year, I actually bought a fire opal and it was beautiful. That's Australian opal. But yeah. So it actually has amber colors in it, but red colors in it. So it's it's beautiful.
And so you do you think that that kinda weakens the original opal?
I really don't know.
It's a good thing to think about considering they didn't say opal for six. They said fire opal.
Fire Opal
opal here is mixed with something that makes it harder than the original opal. Could be.
Yeah. Maybe so. But the opalite crystal is sort of translucent to me. Right? That's the way I think when I look at it, it has that very translucent look to it, very glassy look to it as well. It's beautiful. It's one of my favorites.
Okay. Yeah. So I hope that the scale, the examples will help you as you start to work with your stones. But just know, two and a half is a fingernail. A good steel file is about six and a half, right?
And we talked a little bit about a number, where was it, number seven, like clear quartz, tiger's eye, amethyst. Those are tough ones for me. I love working with them because I can put all that in water. So I would say anything above seven, I would say anything above six and above could be cleansed with water. I know some people love to run their crystals through it.
I would agree with that. You have any indication of where selenite falls on that scale?
I'm gonna look at it really quickly. I'm surprised they didn't have it on this list. Let me look at it really quickly. Selenite hardness. Let's guess before I look.
I'm what do you going to say somewhere around the, like less than a fingernail. I would put it just above talc.
I was thinking like a three.
I'm thinking two to three, somewhere in that range.
So it says selenite has a hardness of two on the Mohs scale. Yep. There you go.
Yeah. Fragile. Above just above talc.
Yep. Just above. That's how sensitive it is, guys. And we
do not wanna put it in water.
Do not. And remember what Missy said last week, throw your crystals on there. It's so powerful. It can cleanse cleanse other stones. Anything around it, it's going to cleanse. Right? Okay.
I love that. That's and and I think that helps when people are shopping or looking for stones to work with, to really know where it falls on that scale. So you know how to treat the crystal that you're working with.
I think it's interesting that the more expensive it is, it becomes a stone. Yes. And then anything below that, they're like, ah, piece of crystal.
And I just know that most people, when they're doing like a big event, they call it the gem and mineral show. And then when you go there, you see all the crystals, what I would call a crystal. You see the malachite, you see the tiger's eye, but you also see the emeralds and the sapphires. So I think that's interesting.
Yeah. And you know what? Something we didn't bring up like sea glass. Yeah. Some people wouldn't call that a crystal, maybe, I don't know what they would call that, but you know, obsidian is really glass,
Yes, it is.
So yeah, sometimes it can be interchangeable depending on what it looks like based on what I'm seeing here. Higher the number, the more people call it stone. And then anything below six, they're just like, crystal. Yeah. Yeah.
So the metaphysical meanings. Yeah. Okay. So we're gonna take a look and I always have these little sheets that I throw into the organza bag when I give a client a stone. I wanted to read off what I have on them so that people understand, especially those who don't have it.
So I'm gonna start from the crown to the bottom, right? The crown chakra. Clear quartz, better known as the master healer. It balances emotions, lessens negativity, and brings calm to one's being, aids in concentration and unlocking your memory, wearing or meditating with a clear crystal quartz is known to open the mind and heart to divine guidance. Clear quartz brings the body into balance. Okay. Did you wanna add anything?
I think it just encourages a feeling of spaciousness in the mind, right? And that's where you can invite in the clarity and it clears that mental fog. So yeah, so your inner guidance can come through.
For the third eye, we've got amethyst. Amethyst is an excellent all purpose stone that can and I say all purpose because we're gonna show you later how to use them for like home protection or, you know, whatever you got going on in your life. But increases spirituality. It's a calming and meditative stone, brings emotional stability and inner strength to one's center. It is used to open one's channels to telepathy, clair audience, clairvoyance, and communication with angels.
I was obsessed with amethyst when I first realized I had this gift and I slept with it. I had it in my car. I had it everywhere I went. I had it in my purse. And I don't think it's all in my head. I really think that it helped me get somewhere.
You really do sleep with a lot of your crystals.
Yeah. I don't sleep with amethyst anymore, but I used to.
Yeah. Yeah. Like your your spiritual Xanax formula is
I'm telling you, I don't know how I don't wake up with bruises. And then the throat chakra, we chose sodalite. Sodalite is associated with the throat, is a stone of logic, rationality, and efficiency. It is good for healing breaches in communication. It is a stone of truth.
It can help end arguments or disagreements. It is particularly useful for honesty of emotions and love. I know that you said you like to use sodalite for the throat. I just wanna bring up Lapis because, you know, it's my favorite. I had a client who worked for the government and, he had to go in front of Congress about something.
This was back in, I think, 2018. And he was so nervous. And so I sent him a Lapis and I said, Just put it in your pocket. I'm like, Are you gonna be sitting? And he's like, Yeah. So I'm like, Just take it out of your pocket and just twirl. And I went on C SPAN and I was watching it and I saw him twirling. I was like, God, can I text him and say, don't do that? It looks like you're doing something under the table. Like, I just saw his hand like twirling. I'm like, stop twirling.
Yeah.
But yeah, it's loose stones really help clarity, shares confusion, and also good healing in communication.
How did he feel after that? I mean, using the lepis, what was the outcome? Was he calm? Did he you watched it. What was the difference?
He was calm. He was clear. He was collected. You would have never known that he was nervous, one. And also, one of the prayers I told him, I said, tell Spirit, let my words be your words. Right? Let the wisdom come through. Yeah. And he he said everything out of his mouth just flowed. He's like, I don't even remember half the stuff I said and I knew that was Spirit.
It's kinda like when we do readings and then a couple months later, a client's like, hey, remember when you said this? And we're like, no. Right? Yeah. We don't remember half of what we're hearing. But yeah, it really helps.
So That's amazing. Yeah.
Lapis is awesome. Aventurine. Aventurine. That's green. That would be associated with the heart chakra. I have that it is known to calm a troubled spirit and enhance inner peace. Once again, it can be an all purpose healer that develops confidence and improves prosperity. One of the most popular of the green stones associated with the heart chakra, it's also very cleansing for the heart. Anything you wanna add to that?
No. I think it also it just encourages compassion, right? Self trust are some other things that are very heart centered, love and harmony and emotional flow. I think that kind of sums up green aventurine .
So I wanna go to citrine. Citrine, known as the stone of prosperity. I carry a big piece of citrine in my bag. I just, it just dawned on me. Like I have a lot of crystals around me. Yeah, I have a big one and I always use it to encourage prosperity, wealth, success, and happiness. A joyous stone with bright and positive energy. It is a symbol of hope and strength. That really resonated with me.
Yeah.
Like, I am not in a good place. Citrine is my best friend. What were you gonna say?
When you say it, like when you're not in a good place, that it really does symbolize confidence, right? And this forward momentum, I think it can also help clear self doubt and it can energize intentions. So even though it's abundance and prosperity, it offers so much more.
Yeah. Some say that putting citrine in your cash register, your pocket, your purse will not only attract wealth, but help one maintain it as well. But more importantly, it enhances mental clarity, confidence, and stabilizes emotions.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I heard, or I read, I cannot remember to be honest with you, that it was beneficial to place a citrine in the far left corner of your home if you're standing at the front door. So it doesn't matter where your front door is.
That's Feng Shui. Yeah. I've been left in my home. That's part of Feng Shui. Yeah.
Yeah. And so I have one in the far left corner, which would be my bedroom. I have one there in my room at the Center for the New Age in Sedona. I have one in the far left corner in that room on the windowsill. It does not get sunlight, so I don't have to worry about that.
We, we might have to do an episode on Feng Shui because I think that would be helpful too for people.
I agree.
Yeah. Carnelian, I'm using that for the sacral, calms anger and grounds you, sharpens the wits and builds courage, helps protect us against negative vibration. It is also associated with sensuality, right? Sexuality. Want to add anything to that?
I think it encourages playfulness. The sacral is associated with life force and vitality. So placing the carnelian there will help with playfulness, even creativity. So, yeah, I I love carnelian.
Yeah. Me too. Black obsidian. I'm gonna use that for the root. Obsidian draws out mental stress and tension, brings clarity to the mind and clears confusion.
By the way, fluoride's really good for confusion guys. If you're really at a loss, you're trying to start a business, you're studying for school, fluorites, I had to sneak that in there. But when I see clear confusion, I think of fluorite and I think of black obsidian. It reveals to us our true selves, whether they are positive or negative. And I wanna touch on that a little bit.
So I can't tell you the amount of times I've dealt with this situation and I've pulled a card and I said, Spirit, was I in the wrong, is it me? And Spirit will say, yes or no. Like they don't sugarcoat with me. So I'll be like, did I handle that right? And Spirit be like, not really. And then they'll tell me what I need to do. Do I need to go fix it? What do I need to do? That's how I feel with Black Obsidian. It reveals to you your true self, whether it's positive or negative.
It repels negativity and disperses unloving thoughts, anger, jealousy, greed, and resentment. A lot of us don't wanna believe that we can be resentful of things. I had a client say to me, well, you know, I unfollowed this person because she was becoming so much more successful than me. But I'm not jealous or anything. It's just like, like what? Yeah, 100% you're jealous. 100% you're resentful. So I need you to go work with Black Obsidian.
I think it just helps to anchor your energy. Right? Yep. And it brings you back into your body. I actually place it on a table in between myself and a client when I'm doing a reading, because I know it's going to create the stability that I need, but it also creates that shield of protection that I need from absorbing whatever energy the client is bringing into the reading at that time, whether it's chaotic, whether it's distress, sadness, lack, disconnection. So I love to use that as a shield for me.
So I love black obsidian.
And we're going to talk about the protective stones later on in this episode. Yeah. And black obsidian definitely is one of them. Yeah. I love it. Yeah. You gotta protect yourself. I, you know, listen, what we do is, is not easy. No. What we do is not easy and we're dealing with all walks of life.
I have to remind people of that sometimes. Yeah, so I just went down the chakras, just breaking down the metaphysical meanings. I mean, obviously, Missy recommended the crystal Bible last week. So if you wanna look into a little bit more of some of the stuff that we're mentioning today, you know, by all means. But, we just wanted to kind of pull out the standards that, you know, a lot of people hear the names and know what it is.
Yeah. And I also feel like the crystals that we've chosen that Denise just talked about, they're economical. You don't have to break the bank to get these particular stones. I think these are amazing to work with. So unless you wanna buy really, really expensive ones, that's fine. That's up to you. But for what we've mentioned here from crown to root, these are economical for you.
And easy to find. Like I could recommend azurite, which is blue, which would be associated with the throat chakra, but not everybody wants to spend $50 $60 on a stone. Right? So yeah. So we wanna make sure that this is economical. Good point, Missy.
Yeah. I think there are some really great ways that you can work with these seven stones. And I really wanted to talk about setting up the crystal grid or what a crystal grid is. So I want you to think of a crystal grid as a map of your intention. So it's a way of arranging crystals in a specific pattern so they work together toward one purpose. So like love.
And by the way, sorry, I didn't mean to cut you off. I just wanna let people know, this is the disclaimer before Masey starts speaking. Do not feel overwhelmed. Do not feel like you have to create a crystal grid. I've been doing this for eighteen years. I don't know anything about crystal grids. So I'm a student right now, just like you are. If this is your first time hearing it, this isn't pressure to create one, but this is a really cool idea to amplify intentions. Okay, Missy. Sorry.
Yeah. Go ahead. Absolutely. So again, the crystal grid is just a map of your intention. So it's you're going to be arranging them in a specific pattern, but I'm going to give you a very simple way to work with all seven of the crystals that we've been talking about in a way that you can swap them out depending on when you change your intentions.
So think of each crystal having its own energetic personality. And so when you place them in a geometric layout, they create kind of an energetic circuit. And the pattern helps the crystals communicate with each other, and then the whole grid becomes stronger than any single crystal on its own. So you're gonna set your intention. You're gonna place the crystals with purpose, and then the grid acts like an amplifier.
It holds the intention for you, and then it it sends it out into the universe. And it's looking at it this way. It's kind of a formula. It's structure plus energy plus intention all working together. So, I mean, there are many geometric shapes that are used for crystal grids.
You have a circle, and if you think of a circle, it creates unity, you know, going around. You have a triangle, which actually is about momentum. Think about if you just keep going around in the triangle, it has this momentum to it. Then you have a square, so you have something that's a little more about stability. There's the hexagon, the spiral, the star of David, and there's so many others.
One of the most popular geometric crystal grids is called the flower of life. And it's composed of overlapping circles of the same size, and it's arranged in a floral pattern. So I believe there are 19 circles. Woah. So this is something you can buy.
You can go into any crystal store and they will have the flower of life grid. You can go on Etsy and you can find the flower of life grid. So it is one of the most iconic sacred geometry patterns. It symbolizes the inner connectedness of all things in existence. And then each circle kind of represents a part of the whole, and it shows how everything in the universe is fundamentally linked.
So it's used for manifestation. It's used for spiritual growth. It's big intentions. Right? That's why it's called the flower of life. So why people love it is that it amplifies everything placed on it. And I love to work with the flower of life, and I actually bought the grid at a metaphysical store.
Does it show you, like, spots where to put it or you just only put them?
You'll see where everything where the circles kind of interconnect, and that's basically where you're kind of laying your stones. But every grid will come with how to place the stones. Okay. So you can choose points, and I I don't wanna get too much beyond the point you know, this point, double pointed, where it should go, because everything is very personal when you're working with grids, and you have to find the one that works with you based on your intention is how you choose your stones.
So, I mean, there's other ones. There is the seed of life that has There's a center circle and then there's six ones around the outside, and that kind of represents beginnings or planting intention, new cycles. So the seed of life is to me the second popular behind the flower of life. So I think it helps to know how do I pick what is the right crystal grid for me. So choosing a crystal grid isn't about you choosing the grid first.
You pick the intention, then the grid follows. So if you want something like love or emotional healing, you choose something soft and open. That would that would be working with a circle. If you want abundance or momentum, you would choose something like the triangle because remember, it creates forward momentum. As you follow a triangle around, it just keeps going and it creates that momentum.
If you need protection or grounding, a square gives you structure and stability. If you're working on spiritual growth or manifestation, that's when you would work with the flower of life or the seed of life because it amplifies everything you place on it. So the question isn't which grid should I use? It's what am I trying to create right now? So once you know the intention, the geometry that supports it becomes really clear.
That's really cool that you're actually motivating me to get one. I'm going to look into it.
I'm going to teach you a little bit about setting up the grid. I've picked out a really simple pattern that everybody can use. And today we've been talking a lot about black obsidian, so I'm starting from the root and I'm working up. Black obsidian, carnelian, citrine, green aventurine, sodalite, amethyst, and clear quartz. Those are the crystals we've been talking about.
That's your root, your sacral, your solar plexus, heart, throat, third eye, and clear quartz. And I thought it would be a great idea to take all of these crystals and teach you how to arrange them in a grid. It's super simple and it's one of the easiest grids to work with. So I want you to think of it as you're building an energetic ladder. You've got at the base, black obsidian stabilizes, carnelian energizes, citrine empowers, green aventurine softens, sodalite clarifies, amethyst opens intuition, and clear quartz amplifies and connects everything to the higher guidance.
So together these crystals create kind of this frequency that supports full body alignment. So they create the balance. And it also means that you're in alignment for doing any kind of manifestation work. I call this a vertical full chakra alignment grid, bottom to top. It's a master grid.
That's why I've put it together this way. So you can choose to leave the grid as is and call in that alignment. Or the other really awesome thing about this grid is that I built it so that you can swap out the center stone depending on your intention. So again, we have the seven. So the structure's always going to stay the same.
It's going to stay in a vertical line. You simply swap the center crystal. That's when you create the different intention to shift the entire grid's purpose. So you don't have to deviate from the seven crystals that we've been talking about, you know, at all. Your center crystal is considered the command center of the grid, so it sets the frequency.
It acts like an amplifier, a conductor. It sends your intention through the entire grid, so it harmonizes the entire grid. So what you're going to have are three crystals below your center crystal, and you're going to have three crystals above it. So for example, if your intention is spiritual expansion, then you want your center crystal to be clear quartz. Clear quartz becomes the antenna for higher guidance in this grid.
So the order would be this, always bottom to top. Black obsidian, carnelian, citrine, here comes your center, clear quartz, aventurine, sodalite, amethyst. That is for spiritual expansion. If your intention is love, we know that green aventurine is associated with the heart chakra. So that becomes your center stone and it sets a very soft heart centered frequency. So the order would be black obsidian, carnelian, citrine, green aventurine, sodalite, amethyst, clear quartz.
Which is the alignment of the chakras.
Which is the alignment of all the chakras. Right. And isn't that amazing that that alignment always it's about love.
Yep. That's right. That's right.
Yeah. If your intention is protection, then your center crystal will be black obsidian because it anchors the grid in grounding and shielding. Then you want to build the grid according to the structure that I've given you. So in this case, would be carnelian, citrine, aventurine, black obsidian, sodalite, amethyst, and clear quartz. So look, I could go on all day.
This is why I love this grid is because you're just changing out the center stone according to your intention. So guess what? If you want clear communication, what's going to be your center stone? Sodalite . If you want, you know Communication, you mean. Well, you Clear clearer communication or learning to speak your truth Right. Or then you would make soda light your Got it. Yeah. You would make soda light your center stone.
Yeah. I see the pattern. I see the pattern.
And then if you want amethyst to be your center stone, then you're really trying to you know, you're really opening up your intuition. You're opening up your inner vision. You're opening up that center. So everything around it amplifies that. So again, your core structure will stay the same. It's just a vertical chakra alignment, and the center crystal will change according to your intention.
Yeah. Thank you so much for breaking that down. Yeah. So let's move on to pendulums. I think it's important that we bring that up since it's crystal based. So why don't you explain what a pendulum is and then we'll go
So a crystal pendulum, it's a crystal that's attached to a chain that responds to your energy and subtle movements in your nervous system. So you hold it still, you ask it a clear question, and then the pendulum swings in a certain direction to reflect your intuitive answer. So my opinion with a pendulum for me is that it just provides more inner clarity to whatever it is that I'm asking. So that's how I use it. I'm looking for kind of the yes or the no, or the maybe.
And then based on that information, I use that as guidance moving forward. That's been my experience.
I've seen people use it just for yes, nos. They just want a quick answer. Like you say, okay, if it moves to the right or the left, that means, you know, yes for me. If it goes up or down, I've seen people define it on their own. And I've literally seen someone do a reading with a pendulum.
Like, it's pretty interesting to me when I see that because it's kinda like people who do readings with a deck of cards, like a regular deck of cards. Like I see someone do a reading and they get like a ace of spades and they're like, Oh, be careful driving home from work in the next couple of months. And I'm like, She got all that looking at the eight and the spade? I find it fascinating. I think we all interpret and do things differently.
But so I've always been, I don't know, my personal experience with the pendulum, I didn't really care for it. I realized as I started working with the pendulum, and you said something earlier about it being attached to the nervous system, I found my body moving versus the pendulum. And then I put the pendulum down, I would react off of my body. So I'm bringing this up because I think it's important that people understand everybody's different. Some people love it, some people don't.
It taught me to trust my body. I remember standing in front of like one of my closets and it had a lot of stuff in it. And I was trying to figure out what I was looking for was. And I said to spirit, you know, use my body as a pendulum, show me where it is. And I sat still and within twenty seconds I started leaning to the left.
And then I moved to the left. So I angled myself to the left and then I moved forward and it was the exact box that I was facing. So that, if I have to say the benefit I got from working with the pendulum is it taught me how to trust my body.
Right. And to me, it's not like I have to work with the pendulum. I don't typically work with a pendulum. It's just another tool kind of in the toolbox. I don't use it all the time, but sometimes when I need clarity on something, I will definitely pull out the pendulum. I use an amethyst. It's one of my favorites. I like to work with them. I think it's fun.
Okay. And do you do like, no, like what do you do with it?
Yeah. So I think, you know, it's important to understand that prior to just picking up a pendulum and starting to work with it, you actually have to ask it, show me a yes, show me a no, show me a maybe, so that you understand what answer it is that you get it. So maybe it swings forward for your yes. Maybe it swings backward for your no. Maybe it just goes in a circle for yes in a clockwise or It's going to be different for each of us.
So I just want to make sure people understand that it's not one size fits all. It's very simple when you hold the pendulum still, take a deep breath and say, Show me a yes. And then let it move however it wants. Maybe, again, it swings forward, backward, or in a circle. That movement is now your yes. And so do that with then show me a no, and then finally show me a maybe. And so once you get all of those three, then it's calibrated. Okay?
Yeah. I did a reading at a center years ago and this guy walked in and he was so arrogant. He was an older gentleman and he walked in with his arms crossed. He sat down with his arms crossed. I was like, okay, here we go. Right? We are already blocking energy. I heard him like disputing how much he wanted to spend. Is she worth it? I could hear him and I was like, oh boy.
So he sits down. I think he only did like a fifteen minute reading. And as I'm talking, he's like scoffing. Like I'll say something and he'll, It's like, what is going on here? So we end the reading and as he's walking out, he turns around and he pulls out a pendulum and he drops it in front of me. And he goes, that's what I thought. And he walked out.
I was like, are you kidding me? That experience was so bizarre to me. You know, you could have pulled out your pendulum, sir, before you even paid money and said, is it worth it for me to sit down? Yeah. Right? So why would you do the reading and then do that? Oh my gosh. We got see that.
Yeah. That's crazy to me. I mean, it actually begs the question of, well, if you're that good, what are you doing going to anybody else for a reading?
Exactly. And why would you pay a $100? You could have just pulled out your pendulum and said, nah. Nope. I don't think this is gonna work.
Yeah. As I mentioned, I have an amethyst as a pendulum, but some of the more popular ones are, like clear quartz because it amplifies your intention, it's super versatile, and it's easier for beginners, and it responds very quickly. So clear quartz is a great one. The amethyst, again, it just helps you access deeper insight. It's great for intuition and spiritual clarity.
Rose quartz is another very popular one. It's very soft. It's very heart centered energy. It's perfect for seeking guidance around love, relationships, or even emotional questions. We talked a little bit today, a lot of it, I should say, about black obsidian.
So I love that as a pendulum. It's very strong grounding and protection, and it's good for clearing energy or getting very direct answers. So black acidian does not joke. Lapis lazuli or sodalite, those also make really good pendulums. They're excellent for communication and truth seeking. They help you get honest, aligned answers. Finally citrine, right? Citrine's also a good one. It's great for abundance, career, or decision making.
And so we just don't go too long in this. I'm gonna grab some stones that we haven't even talked about today. If something grabs you, Missy, you know, you can 100% interject. But, my top five grounding stones, I'm sure Missy would agree. I got jet, black obsidian, smoky quartz, patchy tear, one of my faves, and black tourmaline.
Best travel stones for those of you who travel a lot, malachite, moonstone, amethyst, shungite. I don't leave home without it. Labradorite, I don't know if I spelled that wrong or it's that beautiful, iridescent, like green and gray. You know which one I'm talking about? Am I Labradorite. Saying
I just say labradorite. Yeah. Labradite.
Okay. And rhodonite is really good for travel. Home protection, apatite, photolite, lapis lazuli. Did you wanna say something? And Selenite for home protection.
Yes. And what I used to back in the day, if I talk to a client and they're like, you know, oh, I'm having stuff happening in my house. I would send them like a little gift thing of like apatite, sodalite, lapis together and have them put it in a certain point based on Feng Shui in their home. Right? So a lot of times, as I'm saying all of these, it just doesn't mean one.
Sometimes it's the combo. Like, you put them together and it's gonna be a powerhouse. Right? Cutting cords, I have black tourmaline, kyanite, and selenite. Cutting cords of attachment from people, things, circumstances, work. What would you suggest? I saw your brain going.
Maybe rose quartz For cutting cords because there needs to be the self trust. Right? So I like rose quartz for that.
The self trust. Okay. Got it. Releasing stress, malachite, clear quartz, snowflake obsidian. Yeah. Phyllonite, clear quartz, citrine, malachite. Yeah. What would you suggest?
No. I like those.
You like those?
I like those. I when you said snowflake, that was would have been the one that I would have added. I mean, I I feel like I have an obsession with obsidian type stones. Yeah. Me too. I really do. It's like snowflake obsidian, but, and then black obsidian, and there's just yeah. Yeah. I got a watermelon obsidian. It's it's really beautiful. Self love, rose quartz, rhodonite, aventurine. Any you wanna add to that?
Let me think. Healerite. And I know that's a generally, you know, people who do what we do, don't do what we do, but Healerite is a really nice stone for self love. I love that. It's sort of a greenish color, like greeny green yellowish.
Okay. Yes, guys. Please do your your research on the names that we're we're bringing up. And then sleeping well, I have amethyst, selenite. Smoky quartz used to be one of my faves. I don't sleep with it anymore. Calcite, clear quartz. I told you last week, my spiritual Xanax is the calcite, clear quartz, selenite. That combo for me is awesome. What about you?
I've often heard blue goldstone for sleeping or, like like so kids don't have nightmares. You can put it on their nightstand. So I've I've heard blue goldstone for also sleep.
Okay. Dream clarity. I put the two main ones that have worked for me, which is amethyst and clear quartz. If I need clarity with spirit, I'm grabbing an amethyst to add to my plush bed collection.
Yeah. Do you put them under your pillow?
No, girl. I roll. I'm telling you, they are all over me. I don't put them under my pillow. You know what? I put them close to the pillow area. Okay. So they don't like roll. I know I'm being dramatic when I'm like, I'm rolling in it, but yeah. No, I don't put them under my pillow.
And there are times like, there have been nights or like days where it's just been really rough. Like, you know what I've been going through the last two weeks. Yeah. And it's just so overwhelming. I literally, like I have a wand right here, have a selenite wand. I will just hold this in my hand and I'll fall asleep just like this. Yeah. Kind of like a baby. It's like my pacifier. I think, do I have any more?
Happiness and joy, citrine, pyrite, yellow jasper, attracting wealth, aventurine. Oh, he wants to say something? Sorry.
No, bumblebee jasper for happiness.
Yes. And Missy showed me hers, and it's so adorable. Love it. So cute. Attracting wealth, citrine, pyrite, aventurine. Remember, there's a lot more out there, guys. We're just I'm just trying to give little samples. Anything you wanna add to wealth, Missy?
Just the pyrite is often called fool's gold. It looks like fool's gold. It looks like a chunk of gold.
Yeah. Study and education, mazonite, fluorite, clear quartz, amethyst. I mentioned the fluorite briefly, and we didn't talk about it in this episode, but it is one of my absolute favorites. Yeah. It looks edible. What do you say? Every time I look at a fluorite, I wanna eat it. It's just, it looks like a really cool candy. It's got the, you know, sometimes they look different too. You can get like a light green.
It looks like amethyst with a hint, like, so it comes in variations. And then life's purpose. I love tiger's eye.
Mhmm.
There's just something about tiger's eye that is so it's so grounding. I know you mentioned last week that you like to use it for sacral, I think you said.
Mhmm.
Yeah. And it's also good for addictions, guys. Like, if you're, like, trying to cut your appetite, substance abuse, there's something about it that is so, I always feel like it brings reality to the surface. Brings a lot within you. Like, it it amplifies what's going on with you, and then you put more focus on it. That's kinda like how I view Tiger's Eye. Life's purpose, I put fluorite again. Anything else for you?
I would put carnelian there because carnelian sits again at the sacral or it's associated with the sacral and the sacral is about life force and vitality. It's workforce energy. So that's great for life purpose.
Yes. Yeah. Yeah. So a harmony with, I was questioning if I wanted to do a harmony with significant other, but I think it is kind of important. So I put selenite, amethyst, rose quartz, and then I put in apatite And we didn't talk much about appetite except that I keep talking about how much I love the color.
It's beautiful. But it also, it develops psychic abilities and it gives you like spiritual attunement. But why I always recommend it to clients for relationships is because it dissolves alienation, encouraging extraversion. And I feel like that helps with communication. So, again, apatite is blue. It's just a very light ish blue, and there you go, communication. There's the throat chakra. Right, guys? So it it all aligns.
I love apatite. I love it.
It's so stunning. Like, I could stare at it all day. Like the way that I look at Blue Goldstone, I can literally stare at it all day. Did you wanna add anything before we go into common questions?
No, I think that's good. Yeah. I think those were really great examples, and you don't have to buy every stone, but it's nice to create the powerful combination. It really is, because remember, a stone on its own is okay, but when you put them together, it really creates more significance, more intention. It heightens the intention. So
Yes. Yes. Common questions really quickly. So, Missy, is bigger always better? I knew you were gonna ask me this question. We're still talking about crystals? Yes, we're definitely yep. We're still talking about crystals.
The answer is for me,
no. K. The answer for me is no.
Okay. And I feel that way because it's not about the size of the stone. It's the intention behind it and how you use it. We're still talking about crystals, correct?
Yeah. I think so. Hold on. Let me check. Yep.
Okay. I can't wait till we're off of this question.
Yeah. You know, there was a time where I thought that bigger was better. And when I was on a budget, I realized like, wow, I'm buying tiny stones and it's still amplifying. I used an example of the first time someone gave me a stone for healing. It was at that corporate party and it was super tiny.
I mean, it was like the size of like my thumbnail, maybe smaller, and yet it was so powerful for me. Talk about the intention. I was having the panic attack. I needed to breathe. I needed to calm down. And that little tiny stone did so much for me. So, I don't think bigger is better. What to do if my crystal breaks? I've seen people go bury it. Right? Bury it, reenergize it.
Yeah. I'd say it has, at that point, maybe served its purpose, and so the beautiful thing that you can do for that stone, the gift that you can give it for the gift that it's been giving you while you've been working with it, is just return it to mother earth.
Yep. There you go. Raw versus tumbled, we didn't really talk about that, but we'll talk about that really quickly. I find that the raw stones are a lot more powerful than the tumbled stones.
I would agree with that.
Yeah. And so what's the difference, guys? We talked a little bit about the tumbling river rocks, how they tumble and they just get smoother. It's being manipulated to some degree. Like you said, you had your own little tumbler, but the professional tumblers, the stuff you see in the crystal stores that are very smooth, yeah, it's manufactured, right?
So it's gonna lose a little bit of energy, not necessarily luster, but I feel the energy is not as powerful with the tumbled than it is with the raw.
Yeah. I I agree with that. And generally when I buy crystals, it's it's in the raw form. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. It doesn't mean I don't have tumbled. Right. But generally I gravitate more towards just the raw because when I hold it, I I can feel something or I sense something right away.
Okay. Yeah. Just a quick fun fact. Crystals are the most stable form of matter in the universe. Yeah. Beautiful. It is. I'm such a crystal nerd
anyways. And you know, you were really the one that got me interested in crystals because the second reading I had with you, I came to your house. You were finishing up with another reading and I was sitting out in your living room area and you had a bowl. Hanging out with my great grandmother. Yeah.
Hanging out with Maude. And there was a bowl on the table. I just remember that. I was kind of like picking through it because the color and there was raw, there was so much there. It woke something up in me.
It brought up a memory of how much I loved rocks when I was a little girl, and I was looking at all the different shapes and the colors and it just, I don't know, it just looked like a rainbow looking into this bowl. It was so beautiful. And I remember you saying, oh, you, you know, you can pick one out of there if you'd like. And then you had sent me a, clear quartz. We talked about that in the last episode.
I still have it. Still means everything to me. It was the first crystal aside from the one I picked out of the bowl. And the one that I picked out of the bowl was sodalite.
And can I tell you that sodalite follows you everywhere? Missy could pull it card right now and she's gonna get it's gonna have something to do with sodalite.
Like Absolutely. So we really started that love of crystals for me. It was just another extension of who I was becoming and stepping into this new world of being a psychic intuitive and a medium. And then I took a crystal class from you, it was online and you sent me a chakra little organza bag. And I still have all of those crystals in that bag by itself.
I don't put that with my other stuff because some of the things that I've been given, by you, they're so special to me. I keep them I don't intermingle them. They're not allowed to be with any other stones.
When you say things like this, she's I don't think she's glazing guides. I think she means it. But when you do say things like that, like it reminds me of how important I am to you in this process. Right? Like, I am so grateful.
And I think I said this to you the other day, like, can't imagine myself doing this with anyone else. And I know a lot of people that do this work. There's something very special about you. And when you share things like that to me, it means so much to me. And we as intuitives, us and whoever else is listening that does this work, we have to remind ourselves that everything that we do and we say, make sure the intention is pure because it could mean so much to the person that you are speaking to or interacting with.
Yeah. And sometimes you don't know the impact that you're having. Sometimes the impact may not show in that moment. It may show years from now. So I'm sharing with you probably for the first time in the eight and a half years that we've known each other, that I've kept that bag separately from anything else. I still have it with little note inside of it.
Oh, I feel so special.
That's true. Yeah, that has always meant a lot to me. Aw, thank you. So thank you.
Welcome. Guys, do you see how, you know, I remember that day I came out of my client left and you came from the waiting area. And you said to me, do you have a grandmother named Maude? And I was like, no. And then I remembered my great grandmother, we called her Mummy, but her legal name was Maude.
And it was really so powerful because she's always been the one that helps me on the other side. She's the one that came to me in dreams and said, listen, this what you're gonna be doing. Your family can't handle it yet. Don't tell them yet. So right.
She's held my hand throughout the whole process. And it meant so much to me when you said that, but I'm bringing this up, guys, to show you. Missy was so green in her gift. She had this amazing talent and yet even she didn't know anything about crystals. Sometimes people think they need to be so versed or they need to be doing it for ten years. Identify what your gift is and then explore.
Yeah.
Right? Then explore. Two things I wanted to share before we ended. And one is an example. I talked a lot about turquoise and how hard it was. I think last week I kept calling it turquoise. I don't know. I could not pronounce turquoise for the life of me in the last episode. There's something else that you wanted to share, Missy, before we wrap up?
You know, very quickly, I won't go into it in-depth, but please learn how to clear your stone, program it
Yes.
And store it.
And come back to these episodes if you have to, if you second guess. I'd rather you relisten than experiment to the detriment of you not trusting yourself or trusting your stones. Right? Exactly. So I just want to share an experience about turquoise. My mother, and my mother never goes to flea markets, she came home with like this massive turquoise ring. It was massive. It like consumed the entire finger. And I was like, wow, that's really cool. And I put it on.
And as I was sitting there, I started to get flashes in my third eye. I saw someone collapse in a street. I saw blood on their face. I saw people running away. And as I headed on and I'm seeing these flashes, I started to feel pain in my finger.
And the pain was starting from the middle of the finger all the way down to my palm. And I knew something bad happened to whomever had it. Just knew it intuitively. And I took it off and I said to my mom, mom, I know, and this was very early when she was still questioning what I do. I said, mom, know that you're kind of weird about what I do, but I wanna say this and I'm gonna tell you what I just saw.
And I said, I don't think that this came from a good place. And I think that's why it was cheap. Right? Yeah. And she she got rid of it. Talk about the energy. You talked about last week, even how the metal that it's it's encased create holds onto that energy also. And the pain did not leave my fingers for about twenty minutes. Right? And I thought, God, did somebody rob this lady?
And then they pawned it and then somehow it ended up at this flea like, right? So for those of you who are super sensitive, like Missy and I, you will know when you hold a stone, like when Missy said last week, someone could pick it up and have terrible energy and put it back. Usually the bowl of stones will cleanse it, but when we're super sensitive, sometimes we will pick up on that. And so just always be cautious. That's why Missy said, make sure we're cleansing and we're cleansing properly.
But the one thing I wanted to share was there was a guy who had a near death experience and he went to heaven. Okay. And I wanted to share how he described heaven. It says, A gentleman had a near death experience and he said when he got a chance to glimpse heaven, he saw that there were crystal and diamond pools and jade pillars in steam rooms. Angels would be in the bathtubs that had different stones in them from sapphire to emeralds to rubies, and each crystal bath, based on their color and size, would determine what resonance the angels were receiving as they were completing their baths.
When the Bible talks about things like the streets are paved with gold, and here's this guy talking about crystals like you guys, Catholic, Christian, you have to look at your crystals as non denominational if you really want to encompass the beauty of them. Let's not get caught up in what other people are saying. Go with what you feel. Because like Missy said last week, there is nothing on this planet that was not meant to be here. And I'm totally paraphrasing.
Missy said it way more eloquently. Do you remember how you said it? Could you say it again?
I actually don't remember. I'm sorry.
No, that's okay. But you said something to the effect of like, you know, everything on this earth was made with intention, right? So it's not like I'm asking you to trust some medication from big pharma that's manmade. This is the real deal. Anything that comes from the trees, the ground, there's an intention there. Don't shy away from it because someone told you it's not good. Like, what do you think? How do you feel?
Right. Exactly. I think there's a purpose behind everything, you know, there's, and I think that's really what I was getting at last week is that things carry intention. We have a purpose and we're talking about crystals as one of the ways that you can work with this amazing gift that's been given to you from the earth and what they go through to make it to a store shelf or to sit in your hand. We talked about that again last week.
Please go back and re listen to that episode. There was a lot of really good stuff about formation, the creation formation, the DNA, weathering of the crystals and what it goes through to make it into your hand, ,
into your home. I'm looking around in my office right now and the oldest thing here are my crystals. Yeah. Not the planner I bought three years ago, not the bag I bought five years ago. I have this big bad boy in front of me. It's probably a 100,000,000 years old, 50,000,000 Like, years that's incredible to me. Thank you for sharing that. So I wanna pull a card and I'm gonna keep with the crystal theme. So I'm gonna use the same crystal deck and I got rose quartz.
Oh, I love that.
I love that. This is my pull for the collective. Thank you. Spirit just said world energy. Okay. So that's interesting. Mhmm. That means they want us to focus on as you all know, the world is very heavy right now. Yeah. The Rose Quartz card says, open up your heart.
There is such a lack of compassion going on right now. This is across the board because they keep saying world energy. It's not just a country. It's it's world energy. And they said we have to start looking at things from a more compassionate place.
And they're showing me that we all have to really start opening up our hearts. Listen, I know there are days where I have to not go on Instagram, not watch the news. Sometimes I need a breather, especially with our sensitivity. I remember the first year that I started learning my gifts. I didn't watch the news for one year.
Something as simple as a child missing or people struggling because of a storm, I would like cry myself to sleep. Like my sensitivity was all over the place because I was so vulnerable as I was learning. There's a lot of vulnerability going on right now. And I gotta tell you, love overrides hate all day. Just keep an open mind and keep your heart open.
I think what you said is perfect. It's not just having compassion and love for others, but don't forget to have the compassion and love for yourself. Have an understanding heart. You don't know everybody's story. They don't know your story. And, and try just to be open. Yeah. Know, 100%.
And move in love, right? Move in love. All right, guys. This is it. We're wrapping up our, I will call it a series. Maybe we'll do a 103 down the line, but we're going to give this a break.
Yeah. No. I I think we tackled a lot of things with crystals in the two episodes. If you have any questions based on what we've talked about over the past couple of episodes, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at woowoochannelingcrew@Gmail.com. I can be found at third eye open dot com.
Or if you are in the area of Sedona, Arizona, please, please come see me. I'm at the Center for the New Age, and it is almost in the center of Sedona by an area called Tlaquepaque. Love to do a reading for you. Would love to connect with you.
They have an amazing crystal area. It's like, it's incredible. It's like Oh, is. You'd be in there for hours playing around. Yeah. And, if you guys want to reach me, I'm at denise@divineguidance944 dot com or denise Powell nine forty four dot com. They'll both work. And I do zoom readings and phone readings.
Yeah. So again, guys, thank you so much for being with us today. We would love if you would follow us or share the episodes. We've got a lot more to come. We're just getting started. I we're not yet zero to 60 in a Ferrari, but we're we're cooking along pretty good.
