S1E10 - Nikki Abbott

On this week's episode of The WON Podcast, I am joined by Nikki Abbott, an aspiring Fashion Designer from Bedford - having recently graduated from university, Nikki is now looking to create an impact within the fashion industry, in one way or another. Since graduation and the events of this year, Nikki has started to think about how she can create this impact, with the idea of her own design and use of skill for upcycling existing clothes and garments, breathing a new leash of life into them.  This is linked to her idea to push for sustainability and changing the general mentality of consuming, which is associated with being a large problem within the fashion industry. Listen on to hear us speak about her fashion ventures, her use of the experience and knowledge she has gained and using influences of the established designers and collections within the fashion world to help launch her fashion design career.
