Hey everyone. Welcome to the withering effect episode 111. Today's date is September 5th 2021 and I am Duds or Duds versus known to the rest of the interwebs. Yeah, no, I was trying to hold back a cough. Oh, I'm Jimbo. You may know me as Jimbo slice 23. So, besides that, cough Duds. What have you been up to this week base work? Kirk base work base, for base work, I have finished the front of the base - any boats or
ships. I would like to put in the water in. There are a few looking forward to that worked on the interior of the lighthouse. So it doesn't feel like a hollow shell and I'm really happy with how it how it turned out. Yeah, I noticed on your most recent episode. So if you guys haven't seen the interior of this thing, hmm, it looks great really impressed. In there on my interior builds. If anyone's watching training, length of time, you understand me building.
Something that doesn't have a functionality attached to. It is hard and interior in general, just doing Interiors is yeah. I find it difficult. Yeah. Oh, trust me it took me to the last second to say I bet I could fit a farm in here. It's like no don't do that. Just finish the build. That's got to be one of the more rare. R talents people that can do interior. I feel like you don't see too many. I don't know. I don't follow too many YouTubers or content creators that do many Interiors.
There are quite a few but yeah I'm really stand out. I've been you have your big known Builders like bi do bi oo and Scar and stuff like that. Yep. But when you get to our kind of level it's like Now functionality kind of winds Over everything, right? Yeah, those two are definitely mentionable. Yeah, I also started planning the back of the base, which is kind of a, it's a huge area. So I'm hoping to kind of get a lot in there and then it's onto ships.
I got to start building a ton of ships. I've never built any of that in Minecraft, so I don't really know how that's going to go. Good jumping creative, get an idea. Pretty much I have. The feeling I'll be taking a lot of inspiration from some people and figuring out how to do it because yeah I don't want all my
ship's to look identical. So right, like I know I want to take one of the Shipwreck ships and rebuild it and complete it as if it's floating on the surface, I think I'm going to take the end City ship and rebuild it and have it sailing around my base. Hmm but other than that it's like yeah time to wing it just a different variety. That's it. Look cool. Yeah, but I feel the light at the end of the tunnel coming for
my base. For like I think I mentioned for the past month, I've already had my eyes set on what's coming next season and what I'm trying to do. Yeah. So hopefully waiting come sooner than later. Yeah, I I got a lot of ideas for next season. Haven't yet. Got into creative to start, you know, get my block palette. Down. Yeah and what everything's going to look like. I got it in my head just gotta put it on the screen. Yeah I'm definitely I'm going to tone back my scale but up my detail.
Yeah I kind of have that same idea. It's just I don't know where the scale is going to be you know I have this built in mind. It's not going to be 300 by 300 blocks, that's for sure. I think you really hurt yourself to season with the scale of this base because Just so huge and massive and I still want to detail it, you know. And that's what. Yeah, that's the tedious part like yeah, place it down the blocks took a while, but it's
pretty much routine. You get in a routine of doing it. When you detail things, the routine becomes a little more TV especially when you're fading blocks and at that scale, it's a headache for me. I place a bunch of blocks and I got to go stand back and look at it. Then I go. Go tweak, some more blocks and I stand back and look at it.
That's what I do. Yep, that's make sure this is looking okay for move on. Yeah, but you're going to have to you have to do my method of sectioning off and be like, okay, this section takes about 10 minutes. I'll do one section, every time I get on and then go about my day. Yeah, yeah. Usually I'm doing like a layer type of deal. Now I'll do like six or seven blocks and I'll try to fade those in go all Around fade in that layer.
And then I'll go up from there. Don't know how to work in yet, because I haven't got really far into it. So we'll see how that goes. But other than, what have you been up to this weekend? I tried to get dungeons again. This morning. One of my addresses were from like Germany. I think it's from my VPN so I was like, okay let me let me try to fix this and make my address both of my addresses me. My wife's name And it's saved on here and I made them both you know, a u.s. address and I just
went to buy the game again. I was thinking maybe it thinks I'm in Germany or something because the VPN turned off the VPN did all that stuff. Put my card number in same thing. My card numbers, right? I know it's right. I can't mess it up that many times but yeah, I put it in there still. No, go, it's not letting me buy dungeons on the computer, but I also, I noticed that when I migrated my account which was a headache that was, it was pretty.
I don't know. It took a while for me to migrate because when I migrated I migrated my Xbox account a different Xbox account so then I had migrated my other Xbox account which correlated with my Jimbo slice 23 on Java which when I got that going everything was fine. It all worked out but I was Thinking, if I could buy dungeons from the Xbox from my Xbox name tag, that is the same as do. Most likes 23 on Java, I could
possibly get it that way. So I'm going to try to bite through the Xbox. Couldn't find it at the stores. They're really not on the shelves. I can find the Minecraft game, but not the dungeons. So my have to do it that way. Hopefully that works. I think you could have just ordered it off Amazon. Could I do do it that? We also a, you remember, you're the one that said, last episode, I will have it by the end of the
day today. Yeah. And I still couldn't manage. I was trying to use it another card but I, you know, that's the only one I got and I went to the store that day. Yeah, that was my two things. Use a different card, good. The store. Neither one of them worked out. Yeah. If you just go to Amazon, you can buy the PC. Online game code. You can do that on. The Amazon. Yeah. Oh my God. And I know you have an Amazon account that works. Yeah. And then I can just put the game code in.
Yeah. Like it's really for Windows 10. Is it Windows 10 or my doing Windows? Do your Windows 10 because you have a Windows 10 computer, okay? I don't know what I was thinking. I was thinking maybe, I don't know what you're thinking, maybe I put in the wrong Windows when I went to buy it, I don't know. Some things are going to look at. Now, what either way if you buy it through Amazon, it's a digital code. You'll have it in 20 seconds. Yeah, that's all I got to do. Yep. I still go with.
I'm playing it on switch and I love it. Yeah, there's two different options now, I got. So hopefully those will work out myself. Try to grab it after the show. Again, I'm not going to say I'm a have it after the show this time because it didn't work out last time. So Philippe, fingers crossed it all works out hopefully. Yep. I also wanted to mention have. Have you ever heard of the new egg Shuffle? Yeah. That's where you. Like, you put in for a graphics card on NewEgg. Right.
And have to pull your name out and you have a chance to buy it from them. Yeah. You win an opportunity to buy. Yeah. I I've hated that. That's the stupidest thing in the world. Well I've been doing it just to see if I could win and I actually want I won on the new aches Shuffle which is really rare. There's a lot of people in it. But what I've won was really expensive. It was r-tx 3080. Hmm. Now again I didn't win this. I won an opportunity to buy this.
So is yeah, very expensive and it was a water-cooled 0 R, TX card. So I don't have a I would have to buy all new parts to water. Cool. It wasn't even an AI o graphics card that's water-cooled know it had the Waterblock on it. It even came with a combo. It came with a motherboard that was water cooled. So yeah, I'd have to switch everything around us thinking, do I buy it and then sell it for, you know, the over price value, but I didn't want to deal with that headache.
You know, if trying to get my money back and I was I just didn't get it. Yeah. I mean that's such a niche product for people, right? The average Gamers, not I want that. Yeah. I mean I'll have one heck of a PC but whenever you don't need a lot of money. Yeah I really don't need it. Yeah it's not like you're playing AAA titles and live streaming on the same PC. Right? It's not really necessary. It's pretty cool though. That I won. I like get a text message and an email saying I've won.
I'm like, hold on a second. Let me make sure this is legit. You never know. Nowadays and yeah, took me to the checkout. Out? What I go home, it's going to buy it till I saw the price. Yeah, I hate that. PC parts are where we're at right now because my PCS at the age where it could use an upgrade and I've done everything but upgrade the processor and
graphics card. So I'm Still rocking the first gen Risin and then a GTX 1070. Now the CPU, I could upgrade basically any point and it would help me immensely but I don't see wasting the money on the CPU, if I Go ahead and get the GPU at the same time. Yeah. Plus they both work. It just take my render times are getting up to about an hour now. Yeah, it's a CPU thing, right?
Yeah, it's using. You can choose which encoder you want, and, yeah, but I found the CPU encoder for my setup is actually a little bit faster than the GPU. So that's what I'm using. Ya gotta go that then it's not easy. It's not easy to get these parts nowadays at a reasonable price. Yeah, at a reasonable price is
too big thing as log. I send me a picture of a prebuilt he's like is this a good computer for the price and the price was like three thousand dollars and no. Yeah it's like it was an r-tx 2060. Was a graphics card not for three grand in a rise in five and it's like, dunno. I think I built that computer for a thousand dollars. Yeah. Pretty similar. That's what that's what we got to do with nowadays. So, all right, which we happen to the news. Yeah, that's about it for my
weekend night. So the news is again a bunch of stuff we're going to have trouble. Describing the major things were big biome tweaks to make temperature climates a bit smoother. We saw this going into last week this week they're working on it again like giant tree Taiga and Spruce.
Tigers are no longer considered cold climate so you're not going to get a bunch of snow on the ground and you're more those areas which I like tigers always been one of my favorite but you Constantly going to have to deal with snow on trees and ground and stuff like that. So the fact that that's been changed is really cool. I'm I'm really hoping to get a Taiga Biome next season. That's where my base plans are kind of sitting at, okay, but I also don't want to be far away
from everyone either. So yeah. The mega Taiga is probably my favorite by him. I mentioned this before and the snow biomes are probably my least favorite. So they're starting to Separate those a little bit. I guess there is a snowy tiger, though, is they're pretty sure. Sure. I saw that somewhere. A lot of work was done on underwater caves and Ravines. Mmm. So I guess the old underwater caves and Ravines had like a
different generation coding. So they're trying to use the new stuff for that, and they're having to do some tweaking and stuff because they really want to have it. So, if you go Into a cave in a middle of an ocean. You would come out into an aquifer inside the cave system, which I think is awesome. And you look at the videos of it, it's beautiful underground. Aquifers are probably my favorite, especially, when they're near the Lush biomes.
Yeah, so good. Yeah, the aquifers like, I wasn't sure what aquifer was when I heard as a guy. Okay, aquifer, yeah, not sure what that means. But looking at the pictures and the footage of it, yeah. There's look, really, really cool coming out of the ocean and then to those, they did say one of the problems is basically below zero those caves in the ocean. They're just going to be flooded flooded.
Yeah, which I'm dealing with that now and my base and they're flooding it like why 25 building my slime farm. I ended up building it right into an underwater cave. So I had to drain that sucker. Yeah, in the ocean you are in the ocean. Hmm. One. Add that now if you could. Yeah. And the final big thing we saw is that horses mules and donkeys will now follow golden carrots, golden apples, and enchanted golden apples.
They were saying the main reason for this is because now that the rivers are so wide that it's just easier to have them follow, something to get across the river, then the old thing of jump as far as you can into the river, hop off and try to push the horse across the rest of the way. Or lead it with the lead. Yeah, yeah. I was surprised to hear this and how it was never a thing. Like I've never, I don't know, never really tried to lure any
of these animals, apparently? Because you had leads never had to yeah. Yeah it leads or you jump on them and control them. Exactly. Yeah I noticed a lot of people in videos they would top in a boat lead their horse and just kind of drag it across the water. That's easiest way to get your horse across any wide areas. But hey, golden care to work now. Yeah. One of the more common food types in the game now especially Farmers trading for it. Yeah.
Odds are you going to have cared in your inventory? Golden carrot. Yeah, I think it's I don't think I've ever had a golden carrot this season. I've a time when I came across them like you can find them in loot now but yeah. But cook pork chops for me. I've been steak all season. I've liked my little cow farm, and it's worked out. Well, not to mention. I've never had to worry about having enough leather. Yeah, that's right. You do have that hmm.
Also, llamas will follow. Hey, bells in the same way. I didn't know if that was the thing before not. There we go. Yeah, guess not. And that's kind of infinite is like I said, it's a bunch of little tweaks that we have a hard time describing to you guys without physically being able to show you anything. Yeah, it's been like that for most of the experimental. Snapshots, you came out with an initial one and then a couple spawning mechanics were changed but yeah, not much to elaborate
on lately. The only thing I can say is that watching every video about them. The terrain looks great. I'm super excited for it. Oh yeah, it looks awesome. Let's hop into a listener comments. We've got one from inder guy, they say hello, what would you think about deer and butterflies in the mob vote? We have a little bit of a foreshadowing going for our main
topic today. They say it would add more environment to the game in my opinion, butterflies would spawn in flower forests and Meadows. They would spawn in groups of three to five. They would be small not as big as bees deer would be in forest. And when spawn in groups of four to six think that would be they would be quick and be bred by grass. Tell me what you think, enter guy. I like the idea of some
environmental creatures. The only thing is Like how does Mojang want to implement features? Mean you have both said we'd rather them. Start implementing more fantasy creatures. Yeah, then real live creatures butterflies. I think can easily be done with particles instead of actually having a creature. Yeah. Like more of an ambient mob, right? Like glow bugs would be a great ambient mob to have fireflies fireflies. Yeah, that'd be cool. See. Met night just lining up little
areas. I mean, how cool would it be for a light source to, to catch some fireflies and a bottle that bottle? Maybe produces three or four light level? Yeah, I mean, that would be an awesome light source. You'd have to have 3D bottles be a thing or possibly get the light mod. What does that the light? Don't with the light block the light block. Wow, yes, block. That was the other word. I was thinking of, I know is light something like block. Okay, yeah, well that was so
tricky. But yeah, maybe you have the fireflies. Could help you craft one of those. I'd like the butterfly idea. Possibly ambient Birds would be really nice. Anything, you know, to liven up the atmosphere and environment. Dear, on the other hand, I wouldn't mind seeing it. Like, it'd be cool to see but I don't know. We have many passive mobs, right? I don't know if, if I want dear, as much as I want something different. I'd much rather have something fantasy style. Yes, that's of it.
That a deer would dear fit in the game. Yeah, it probably would. And alternatively, that's another food source. You can throw in there North Carolina, dear meets, actually a big thing, same here. Yeah, I don't know what it's like there. But if like, hunting is a big thing with deer here because dear do kind of overrun Could bit of our areas, same thing? Yes. Oh yeah, it's not one of those mobs. Like you'd have to be worried but for instance, Bear. Yeah.
You put a black bear or grizzly bear in the game. You don't want the people playing the game to think that they can just come upon a black bear or a grizzly bear. All right, dear on the other hand odds, are they're going to run away, but I guess you wouldn't really want to run up on a deer either. But, no, I've seen a deer rear back and suck some guy in the jaw. Yeah, Exactly. They'll Ramya if they, if they want. But, yeah, little more safer
than bear though. Mmm. I mean, we kind of answered it. We all agree butterflies, would be cool, but a fantasy creature, would be way cooler? That make sense. Yeah, but this is actually this led to what was going to be our main topic is mobs. We think will be in the mob. Vote will be hitting back on this. I'm noticing where ended up like rushing through the show right now.
And it's, it's that lull before Minecon or everything slows down a bit to when we start to get the leaks of the new stuff, right? Get a little more information little by little. Speaking of Discord. This week is, And Chip easily easily easily. We have 14 votes for shipwreck 10, for amethyst, geode and 41, for the end, chip few things on the end ship.
And N chip is a structure composed entirely out of purple blocks and end stone bricks with obsidian floors. They can sometimes be find be found floating above and end City contains two chests with valuable loot including Chain it armor, tools and diamonds. There's also three shulker boxes and item frame with the lighter inside brewing stand with two potions of instant Health to inside and a dragon head at the very front of the ship. The end ship is.
The only way you can obtain a dragon head or a lighter in survival mode. Yeah, that's about it. They may or may not be in the end City. It's kind of random. Yeah. And I was super excited for this. Estimating. The last couple minting Minecraft votes have been like, what am I going to do to fix this? It doesn't make any sense to change anything. Mojang is implemented, exactly?
What probably would work in the game correctly and stuff but in ships and ships are one of those things that have always bugged me and I felt they could be done better first the in ship as part of an in City completely fine with whatever the problem is their Rarity. It's great for Or a single
player world. But when you get into an SMP, that's lasted over a year, and you have more than 10 15 players playing on that SP at a time in cities, get absolutely rated to death, there is nothing left in those things. So then you've got to worry about. Well, if someone going to sell their light, right? Because I like to have one not too much. I'm like to have a backup in case I die and maybe another backup just in case. And so now you're going to pay
diamonds to something. We had that problem with chokers but now shoulders can be farmed. I don't think you should be able to necessarily farm and Elijah though I do have something to kind of go along with that here in a bit. But the big thing is locations. We have the main in Diamond, then we have a huge, massive void and then we have the little Islands leading to in cities and stuff, right? Right. Have you explored that giant massive void? No, it's not safe. Yeah. Why would you?
There's nothing there right? It's a massive void. What if there were random in cities in that void and cities are ships or in ships in that void? Okay? I mean, think about it, ships back in the day we're traveling to the middle of nowhere in the ocean. Wouldn't it make sense for them to be traversing? This giant void structure? Yeah, we see in the cities that The hover that they float. Mmm. So you would figure that They could fly. Why not fly outside the in City
every once in a while, right? So that increases, now, the chance of more ships, more lighter has so that easily fixes the SMP aspect of it. Plus, if you find an internship in a void, that's a bit difficult because there's nothing there. Flying in the void alone gets kind of hard if you don't have that F3 screen. So to me, it's worth it. If you find an internship in the void. Between islands. Gigi's you earned it. Mmm. My next fix is there should be more than just the one standard
ship. Yeah. They're all the same. I'm thinking three ships. Yeah, we go three different shapes. So you have the standard in ship as it is. Now one, Elijah. Every time three shoulders, dragon head cool. Then you have what's called a cruiser ship maybe it has five chokers on it but no light ra or analyte ra but only Joker. So again, it's not great for farming but there's some give and take their fair to the other
one. And then finally, you would have a galleon as I'm calling it. The big massive ship, it's like Tinder shoulders and two, electrodes are already on it. Mmm, bigger ship more difficult, better reward smaller ship, super easy, let's reward right ad think it wouldn't make that area way more interesting. Yeah, it's up to difficulty. Hmm. For the loot, you know, the better loot. Little more difficult, right? And it doesn't have to be done this way.
I just look at the best loot item in the game satellite. Ra it changes the game so much. Oh yeah. So I think getting one should be more enjoyable than like when you're going to get your first one. It's a bunch of bridging between islands until you find an inn city with a ship. It's terribly grinding. Work to the point where in every single player world I play in. In I have the drag-and-drop satellite. Ra the just don't want to deal with it.
Hmm, I think this way would make finding a lighter a little bit more fun without taking away from how you get the Electra. Yeah, that being said, I did see a quote in our discussions about having a crafting pattern for an Electra. Mmm. So you would have to go to these in cities, find an internship whatever, and you wouldn't get the Electra, you would get the crafting pattern for the elytra.
Okay, you do banners. Okay, so yeah, you can now craft unlimited a light ra, if you can find the correct supplies which I'm assuming Phantom membrane, would need to be one, so it would give Phantoms an actual purpose drop again. Yeah, because let's face it, I don't know many people who use
slow falling potions. It's really good for the dragon fight and it's fun to play with but potions and channel needs needs some tweaking, but yeah, now we now we can give purpose for Phantoms and Phantom farming. Now, we don't have to worry about constantly running out of in cities and having to reset the end for giant smps who are low on that kind of stuff. Seems like a win-win to me. Yeah, I like that. You definitely get your should be able to get your wings a little earlier.
Maybe there's something it would have to craft that involves the end. Yeah. Maybe you need a piece of course for tie it all together or something. Yeah something off. Like you still got to leave that main island. Well, I mean I just Just say the in ship, would hold the crafting pattern. You still have to go get the crafting pattern before you could craft.
Okay? Okay. An Electra. Yeah, I was looking at the Discord for the different crafting patterns, just can't seem to find it. But what did I see on here? I would pass it now, I can't find it again. Ah MJ man, he mentions how I like to just come from insects and what if there's like I don't know what that's kind of off topic. Topic.
But like an insect mob in the end you see these ships and you have n cities and it's it's populated by these shulker boxes and we know these shulker boxes didn't build these cities or their boxes. They just you know, they can't build maybe they can, you know, maybe it's the Enderman building the city's, it doesn't seem like an Enderman friendly City, but yeah, insects in the end, like Humanoid insects. I mean I think that the thought is the lower that Enderman built
in cities. Yeah. It's shoulders are like Barnacles on a ship and just kind of got there like a past right yet? No one thinks the Box our lunchbox that spits at you built the built a city. I did. You also did think Lush caves came in 117 for the longest time. That's another one. Yeah, the interment doesn't seem to fit in some of these rooms either so the way they're built is weird too. Yeah, I know we can talk a lure on the end cities another time, I guess. But the N Chips.
I agree with your fixes. I did like I really like how you put them in the void. That's probably my favorite, right? That's a giant area of nothing. Mmm. Yeah. Really like that one. Besides that. I don't have much to add. Yeah, I couldn't find who mentioned the crafting pattern either. I know I saw it from the Discord.
I thought I had written it down, but if I'm reading over there, remember, I don't read the Discord until I've started recording the show because I don't want to just mention everything from there, but it looks like some of you guys actually had the same ideas I did with the different ships and stuff. So that was cool as cool to see that. Yeah, but I'm pretty sure there's going to be an Engaged in update. Coming at some A point. I really hope it's not the next
one. I know there's a lot of people now pushing for it to be the next one. And I mean there's too many other things that need fixing before we get into an end update, I wouldn't mind seeing an end update just to see what their idea is inventory. It's fixed, we got these bundles coming, I'll don't you. Start with me and plunder crazy. Winter keeps paying for everything using bundles now and the weathering effects shop, really? Yeah. I've got so many bundles. I don't know what to do with.
I don't know if only I could just wear them on my head that that would that would be a better purpose. Yeah. Bag on your head. Heck yeah. Football season starting. We got to get the bag heads going right? Yeah I guess there's a lot of people who didn't understand that reference at all but uh, Bucks fans and ain't fans. They know the trouble. Let's go ahead and hop into our main topic today. We hinted at and last year's mob, vote was three, Minecraft Earth mobs right?
Well was it one from dungeons? Nice knowledge. ER yeah maybe the children was from dungeons but two of the three major. Yeah I won't ever call it. The I Solider. It's just such a weird name, chillage, Ur so much better fits. It really does. So we decided, let's pick three. Minecraft Earth, mobs and talk about.
Stuff they could drive what they can do, why they would be good for the game, why they wouldn't be good for the game and what's I think really is going to upset some people and we're not trying to do this on purpose. It a lot of these are going to be re skins and I know there's a ton of people saying we don't want re scans. We want something new. I agree. I don't want reskinned either but this is kind of been the pattern with the mob votes.
So we're going with it for now. Yeah, Minecraft Earth. I was excited to look into all these different mobs. They had 95% of them are re skins. Yeah like yeah that's that's pretty much what they are so that I wouldn't mind having all of these re skins to be implemented. A lot of these passive mobs because yeah, we see the same passive mob. There's only one type of skin. So it'd be nice besides a cat. I guess there's only one. Yeah, you can say, why does the
dog? Oh still only have one skin. Mmm. Sure. They've heard that before. Mojang doesn't Dogs proof not messing, but I really wanted to do 3 dungeon mobs to go in there. But Jim behind and got in the game yet, guys. Yeah. Someone hasn't gotten the game yet. Hopefully, we can get this figured out today. And before the Minecon live comes out, we'll do a three mobs. We want to see from dungeons in the game, because there are some cool ones.
I finally got to fight the red stone Golem this week. That was a fun fight. Okay, but let's start with your first one Jimbo, what's your first passive mob that you think would come from Earth? One of the coolest passive mobs, I saw was the jumbo rabbit, okay, it looks similar to the regular rabbit. It's probably three times the size of a regular rabbit and it has giant ears now. Okay, it's, it's kind of reskinned, but it's also it's bigger, and it looks a little different.
I figured I could have it standing out from the other one, right? Yeah, I could have a little fun with this first first thing comes to mind, you know, is dropping more hide. Hmm. So you got a bigger rabbit, but because it's bigger eye, I could see it being a little bit faster, right? But then again, I don't know. You think the bigger the slower it would be. But anyways this one we're in Minecraft were not real life. It's faster faster. It's got more health and it jumps.
Higher and further right than the other rabbits but every time you kill it you get a rabbit's foot every single time at least 100 percent chance drop. Yes, you get your rabbit's foot. I could see it being rare, you know, the jumbo rabbit. Maybe you can find it, and only one type of model or one biome. Okay. I'd probably say flower Forest. I was going to go Meadows. Yeah. Mmm, I'd go Meadows planes. Well, they The new Mountain Meadows. Like that's a bio now.
I'm pretty sure. Hmm. Okay, so it would be worth it to New biome new mom. Hmm. Of course that, you know, it'd be cool to have like a newer drop. Like maybe it was going to say, drops a jump posted potion but that's what the rabbit foot is made for, right? Yeah, I was just thinking of, you know, the original drops and just make it make it a little bit more. Whoo. What if you had the chance to get a enchanted rabbit's foot? Foot.
So like a lucky rabbit's foot and it would increase your fortune from Fortune three-d-- like Fortune six while holding it. Yeah. Like a lucky spell. Yeah, of course, that would increase the chance of younger people thinking. They can go chop off rabbit's feet. Don't chop off rabbit's feet. Yeah it's kind of gross one. It's way more lucky to let the rabbit. Keep the foot. Yeah. Yeah. So very lucky for the rabbit foot missing. Right? Yeah I do. I like that idea and change the
rabbit's foot. You can allow you to have more luck. Bring luck into the game that has to be a new feature. Yeah, that's all I got for my passive mob, jumbo rabbit. My passive mob is my favorite Mob of the entire list from Minecraft Earth, and it's the
Jolly llama great name. Now, in the game, it was a limited time, festive mob, that came out around the Christmas time and I thought, what could be cool is Again, if it only spawned during Christmas time, but if you name tagged, you could keep it. It would be around all the time but it has no drops. So don't kill the Jolly llama. It does not make sense to kill the Jolly llama. Hmm, what the pert? The reason you would want to keep the Jolly Lama is that all Hostile Mobs within a radius of
the Jolly llama become passive. Yeah, they become Jolly. They become Jolly. Okay, so it can be it. Be a small radius so you still have to worry about some dangerous stuff, but you walk in your jolly lime around creeper seizure starts to move in on you to blow up. It gets in range of the Jolly llama and then it just kind of shows up. I could see people having Jolly llamas hidden everywhere among prove.
I could see that too. It was really hard to make it were it wouldn't drop like antlers because that's the big design feature own and just they have antlers. But I don't want anyone killing a jolly lat. Emma makes no sense. Don't kill the Jolly llama. Yeah, bird. Not give it drops in that case. Yeah, for the function, you want to give it. Yeah, it's power may be a bit o p, but the fact that it would only spawn one time a year would make me seem to like even it out a bit. Hmm.
I don't know. Yeah. That's kind of it for my passive mom. That was my favorite one to do. It is a cool looking one. Yeah. What about you? What's a neutral mob? You'd like to have in the vote. I think this is a neutral mob. I like to call a neutral mob. See it is. Furnace goal. Mm-hmm, really cool-looking mob. And first thing you notice is you know the furnace on the chest. Yeah. And it's it's lit up on the chest and I think that should be a feature of it for it to Glow.
You know at night and you see it you know they're more noticeable because of that glowing furnace on the inside and maybe a produces light you know I know that's kind of hard to do but this is my fixed. X and I'm going to, I wanted to produce light. Yeah, it would also drop charcoal. Not regular coal charcoal and iron ingots like for it to keep dropping iron ingots. It is a furnace though. Yeah, I was going to say furnace. I don't think you need any iron
to craft you. I mean, you did the blast furnace, but, yeah, I mean, is it Gault was gonna iron goal, right? It's a furnace Golem, so dropping, charcoal makes complete sense. Mmm. But dropping anything else kind of doesn't maybe clay balls. Know if it would be furnace related. Maybe sure if I've ever. Yeah. I'm thinking. Did I burn? Build a furnace? Yeah, of course for you built it. I built 60 form. Yeah, it's all Cobblestone for a
furnace. Yeah. So you could have it, drop, charcoal and Cobblestone, but there's so many better ways to get cobblestone. You wouldn't want to farm that mob for that. Yeah, the charcoal Cause the only thing unique that it could drop and honestly, I would be okay with setting up a goal in front because right now, the best way to farm. Coal is a wither skeleton farm and while that's a decent Farm, it produces a lot of cold in there.
Still people who just don't like being in the nether even with another update. So to be able to give them a way to farm some fuel without having to go in there. I know people going to say, you can do the dripstone lava bucket saying. I've always hated having to pull the Our buckets out and stuff and have to refill them up and then put them back in the system. Yeah. So if you could make a farm that drops charcoal and I would probably set up a goal and farm
that drop struggle. Yeah, possibly you can make it in that Dimension. Yeah, maybe they only spawned as of right now I put down that it would they would only spawn at night? Ooh, same spawning mechanics with the Villagers. The villagers would have to spawn a Min but at nighttime I don't think you're going to get anyone building that farm. Now. How often do you go through? Through the entire night on
Minecraft world, right? But then I was also thinking maybe they could spawn in the nether instead of an iron golem. Yeah. Because the heat and their furnace. Hmm. Maybe they could spawn there but you could also do the end because it's internal night there. Yeah, yeah. That's who you're writing. Another makes sense because the now there's a giant furnace with all the lava and stuff but yeah, that's one thing. I've had trouble with. How are these things going to
spawn? You will respond and like, regular go. Um, sir. Yeah, I had the same problem with my neutral mom. So don't worry. Yeah, that's, that's pretty much all I got to be probably good with your neutral, Rob, my neutral mob to my giddiness with something we mentioned on the show earlier, and it's the tropical slime, which is essentially a blue slime, granted.
It has fish swimming in it, but to me that acted, as if it was picking up items, in absorbing them, I went Oh man, this is exactly what I had in my mind when I was talking about different slimes either last episode or the episode before that Seuss day she is snore loud. Yeah I remember you mentioning that? Yeah how they could hop over items and gather them.
Right. Well this one has tropical fish swimming around in it tropical fish on their own really, aren't that useful unless you've got them in a bucket and you're feeding them to Ox a lot oils. Which I still don't know why you can't just feed them. A tropical fish item. Yeah. Why does it have to be in a bucket? I get they want. Fresh fish, I guess. Yeah. That'd be the only thing I could think of. Yeah. But what if like slime essentially spawning in water biomes?
So, let's say if it's, if you have a spawn Chunk in a river biome, the main fish that would spawn with, it would be like, was it caught and salmon the same as a good food choice in Minecraft? It really is. The problem is, it's a Pain to get with AFK fishing, not being around anymore. Yeah. So if you have a slime farm built in an area that's under a river, then you have slime now, also dropping salmon and cod
instead of slime balls. Yeah. Now you have another food form, which could be really cool. Yeah, depending on that slime, chunk location, right? Yell, this lime chunks at the same but if you movement a certain volume, get some fish out of the deal. Exactly. You You'll get a different slime mob out of it. And I think that's that's really fun and it's a way to update slime without changing them drastically. Now would these slimes drop any
anything? No slime balls, besides the fish, no slime balls, it's whatever they've absorbed, okay? So it would be fish and I would probably put it like, on a random chance type thing. So, like the, if it's in a river biome, you're most likely, Going to get the fish slime, but you'd have, like 125 chance of getting a normal slime to same thing.
If you have a slime chunk in the middle of land mass, you're going to have a 95% chance of a regular slime, but then you might have a small chance of another slime. Dropping something else, I don't know. Okay, imagine it's same like killing mechanism. You kill one and then it turns into for right different sizes. Always like that. Mmm, it's exactly. It. All right, I like it. It's a really cool-looking mob. I'm really is. It's fun. My hostile mob that I chose.
It's a re textured, which called the viler, which I love this texture. Over the current one we have if we can change our which has texture to this one, I'd be okay with that. Okay? But because it is a different, which we can give it different mechanics, this which the violin which would spawn a loo loo loo Light levels and would eventually join other Hostile
Mobs as a reinforcement. Now, we have the Pillager raids where witches spawn in and they heal the mobs at there with this which would throw strength and speed potions at the Hostile Mobs. So you're getting a faster stronger mob coming at you when the viler which is with them and they would also drop random potions. Any random potion, okay, up to level 2. So, and also Nether wart, we don't have a way to farm. Nether wart there is a way but not, you know, AFK wise.
Yeah, there's an AFK with another word Farm. Yeah. Other than holding the mouse button down while your AFK. Yeah, I hear you saying. You don't mean AFK. You mean it fully automatic way? Where I don't have to? Yes be sitting there doing something right fully automated. Yeah but then again. Get ya. These witches wouldn't spawn as often. I don't know. I never thought of like a certain spawning place it would spawn in at either. Like maybe it's only in a swamp,
maybe it's everywhere. Maybe it's the same as the which is now. So you would want a witch hut but they only respond under a full moon or something. Yeah, that could work. We already see that kind of spawning mechanism with slimes. Mmm. So it's already a thing, it's already thing with the full moon Giving you a different new spawn?
Yeah, I like that. It may be the swamps are a little more dangerous than others with the viler which I like for them to randomly spawn anywhere sit for like, you know, other dimensions. Yeah, yeah. I figured giving them any any potion to drop instead of what would they drop normally? Is it just health? I think depending on like, how you kill them, they can drop fire region or fire. Resistance resistance and I think it's region and health, but I'm not sure.
Yeah, I'm not too positive. It's been a while since I've set up which Farm up to take advantage of the potions. Hmm. Yeah, me neither usually don't keep the potions. Yeah, right. Potions. Need a tweak. It's not that potions are necessarily bad. It's a after a while everyone kind of forgets to use them unless it's underwater breathing in night vision. I think those are still the most used potions in the game.
Yeah, yeah that's That's what I got for the viral, which my hostile mob is the bone spider and dad. A lot of people it's just a reskin spider. We know we know but imagine a bone spider that instead of running and biting you like the ones do know. It shoots bone shards at you. Yeah. Now and playing dungeons. This is why I wanted it. The worst mob that I have to come across in dungeons, is the spider because it shoots the web at you. You get stuck in it. And then tries to attack you.
And so it's annoying. So, having a version of that in Java would definitely increase the difficulty. And how cool would it be, like, if it dropped this bone Shard, and use the bone Shard instead of Flint to craft arrows. So now you have an arrow that does maybe two times damage. So now we've got new Arrow types, to go along with the combat update. That might be coming at some
point. Yeah. Really like the idea of it being a projectile from the spider, not so much it. And you know use it jumps at you, right but yet the hits you from a distance. I like that. I mean as of right now and what isn't it just skeletons? That can shoot. Well I guess gas and Dragons Blaze Blaze. Yeah I think those are all the projectile which is but yeah to me those are just kind of tossing potions and yeah you can do the crossbows with the Villagers stuff like that.
Yeah yeah yeah there's a lot more that I was thinking. Okay so there's There's a lot of yeah there's more projectile mobs and there are the other one I guess but I really would like the combat update to address some of the staleness with the weapons and items. I think it's every season I craft the same items but the same enchantments on it and I'm good to go and it's been like that for years now.
Yeah we're getting do uses like the hose become one of the most useful tools in the game now but I'd like to see some more I've been saying this for a while, I'd like to be able to walk across the sword in a dungeon or something that has sharpness 9 on it. So okay I can't get that enchantment. That's awesome. Now this sorts beastly I really need to be careful and not lose it. Yeah, it won't be dropped by the bun spider though. It won't be trapped by the bone
spider. The bone Shard looked like a really cool item and I was like, do you want a way to craft it? Do you want to be able to take bones putting a crafting table and try to make the bone Shard? I was like, no. No, for me, if they ever put a hammer in the game, it would make sense to hammer a bone chart or a bone in to get a bone Shard. But yeah, as of right now, the only way to get bone Shard would be bone spider. Maybe they can drop bones to with the shards could be.
I just keep thinking about how valuable bone meal has become. Yeah, it seemed to need it all the time. Yeah, I've got an entire room dedicated to making bone meal for me. Hmm. Needham nowadays, Britain. Yeah. That's kind of it for what I've got you good? Yeah. All right. We'd like to see all these bulbs. Make it to the game. Yeah, I'm excited for the vote, but yeah. Hopefully, we can get Jimbo on dungeons, fine. Like, and then we'll do 3. Dungeon mobs. We want to see in the game.
This was a lot of fun sitting there, researching these guys and seeing how they might work in the game. Yeah, I mean if I have to research dungeon mobs I will but nice to play against them right.
