Miles of Trials: Tyson Miehe
Dec 15, 2019•58 min•Season 1Ep. 8
Episode description
This winter, we'll be spotlighting Wisconsin natives & residents who are gearing up for the 2020 US Olympic Marathon Trials on February 29th in Atlanta, in a series we're calling Miles of Trials (at least until we get sued by John L. Parker, Jr.). Our first deep dive is with Tyson Miehe, just a few days after a brilliant 2:16 debut marathon to finish 5th at the prestigious California International Marathon (CIM).
We dive into the 2019 Badger grad's transition to the roads, the balancing act of training while student teaching, and the somewhat unconventional journey to an Olympic Trials Qualifier. Tyson also gives a really honest look into dealing with the struggles and frustrations of his transition into collegiate running, and the lessons & perspective shifts along the way.
