Creationists have far too long been focused on the wrong questions. If we spend all of our time demanding answers from God, instead of openly exploring his creation, we will craft answers that satisfy our doubts rather than expand our thinking about who God really is and what he is trying to do.
Was Adam real or just an archetypal figure that we can refer to as a character of literature, but who never really lived? That question is at the forefront of many people's minds today. Some people think that we're even reading Adam back into Genesis from our own modern worldview. In this video, we're going to discuss that and see if it holds up to historical scrutiny.
There is promising creation research happening across many disciplines, but more resources and education are needed to advance these fields further. I was encouraged by the caliber of researchers and young people I saw at the conference! Tune into this episode to hear some of my biggest points and takeaways from the conference.
In this episode, I discuss the claim that distant starlight poses a problem for a young creationist view. I answer a listener's question about passages that say God "stretched out the heavens." I argue there are important considerations when interpreting these poetic passages. Overall, I advocate a non-concordist, phenomenological reading of such poetic passages, rejecting a literal concordist view that maps Bible verses to modern cosmology. I stress interpreting the Bible consistently, using ev...
In this episode, we examine the question of whether believing in supernatural creation does away with the need for science. Some argue that if God created the world miraculously, then scientific study is pointless. However, we argue that believing in creation actually provides the inspiration and foundation for scientific discovery. We discuss the possibility that God may have altered the laws of physics during historical events like the flood. While recognizing this is significant, we assert th...
In this episode, I speak with computational engineer Dr. Ticho Tenev about his proposed solution to the distant starlight problem from a young earth creation perspective. His paper was coauthored by Drs. John Baumgardner and Mark Horstemeyer. Ticho walks us through special relativity and how it relates to the distant starlight problem. He then explains his proposed solution of Creation Time Coordinates which posits that during the creation week, God established time zones in space that allowed s...

In this episode of the Winsome Creationist, I discuss an article by Todd Wood titled "Give Me a Break - Ken Hams Hyper Evolution", which defends Ken Ham against the accusation of being a hyper-evolutionist. We delve into Wood's arguments, especially his explanation of different definitions of evolution. I also touch on the recent criticisms from Answers in Genesis aimed at a large section of creationism, including Wood himself.

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of The Winsome Creationist Podcast. I truly appreciate your support and I hope you're enjoying these episodes as much as I am bringing them to you! In today's episode, we're going to discuss the attitudes and mindsets in the creationism debate. I've titled this episode "Do Old Earth Creationists Hate God?" While I understand that not all creationists would make such a claim, I want to point out that some do, and it's essential for us to be mindf...

In the apologetics community, there's a lot of talk about the evidential aspects of Noah's flood. And in church, often the fact of God's judgment is emphasized. In this episode, I'm joined by Dr. Dustin Burlet who presents a sort of "middle ground" and sheds new light on how God viewed the flood and what it means for us today.
Hebrew Bible/Old Testament scholarship has undergone a major shift in recent decades. More and more, we hear that the Bible was written by just another culture in the ancient Near East, and that lots of borrowing and sharing of ideas between cultures have taken place. Has this happened? How? And if so, does that mean Genesis is not unique in its own right? How should Christians make sense of this issue? Let's talk about it! Creationists are no strangers to disagreement. But what happens when disagreement turns to public denigration? This trend seems to be picking up in creationism, and I'm sad and frustrated about it. But I'm NOT hopeless! In fact, I think the brightest days for creationism are ahead. Let's talk about it!
Have you ever been asked why you think creation is such a big deal? Why does it matter WHEN God created the universe? Does the age of the earth really matter at the end of the day? I think this answer is a huge YES, and here's why. Link to the beginning of this series on the Bible Nerd Podcast: https://share.transistor.fm/s/1b871ce3
Have you ever considered a linkage between the story of Christmas and Genesis 6? Likely not. But what if I told you there was an abundance of evidence that these events are linked in multiple ways that would have had tremendous significance for the original audience of Scripture? The Christmas season is about far more than a baby in a manger. It's about the Second Person of the Trinity, taking on the form of human flesh. But of course, the Bible says the "Word" has to do not only with Christmas but creation as well. Listen in as we explore the parallels between creation and Christmas in this special episode.

God created this world with purpose and direction in mind. Despite what many critics say, this world was created for the glory of God and accomplishes those purposes. Here are some awesome examples of God's purposeful design in creation! The Age of Things video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lhjfajPdotA
Dinosaurs are seemingly the mascot of naturalistic evolutionism. It's hard for people to imagine how God could have created such creatures, never mind having created them alongside man just 6,000 years ago! In this episode, creationist professor and paleontologist, Dr. Matt McLain, helps us understand dinosaurs from within a biblical paradigm. Did they have feathers? If so, does that mean they evolved into birds? What does dino poop have to do with it? We cover all these questions and more in th...
Paul Garner wrote The New Creationism in 2009, explaining how creationists who've taken a "model-building" approach could explain many of the world's features. In this episode (recorded in 2021), we get an update on the items Paul covered in the book. There are new problems, new solutions, and new questions! It's an exciting time to be a creationist. Listen in as Paul shares this tremendous update with us.
