So when he was approached about a new technique developed in Margaret River that transforms a 6 year old ok barrel destined to be cut in half and grow herbs in the garden he was a little sceptical..

French oak barrels cost $2,000 these days so if you can bring them back into service in a viable way then every winemaker and particularly their accountants sit up and listen!
