Episode description

In this episode I discuss some of the feelings that may show up in your grief and how these feelings are normal and necessary, and why it's important to learn how to invite these feelings in and explore them.

There's a lot of unexpected and uncomfortable feelings that show up in our grief, they can be overwhelming, confusing and scary. As a result of this we can box things up, push them away and ignore them, because we don't know if they're normal or natural and we are not taught how to deal with them.

We can also layer these feelings with more negative thoughts around them, we judge them, criticise them, and create shame around them, causing more discomfort in an already uncomfortable situation.

I want to help normalise them for you, to help you feel more comfortable with what is showing up and understand that your feelings do not define you or make you a bad person.

Feelings are not problems to be solved, they are an experience to be allowed and all feelings are valid.
