Episode description

Happy Christmas! Nothing quite says Christmas like the romantic world of Victorian England. When we think of the 1800s, our mind instantly goes to Charles Dickens, the Brontë sisters, Oscar Wilde and Thomas Hardy. But underneath the rosy world of dinner parties, family values, and Victorian sensibilities was the dark and dangerous underbelly of the lower working-class. In the autumn of 1888, a string of crimes occurred that rocked the country and still fascinates and confounds true crime enthusiast to this day. The victims were desperate and destitute women, the crimes were heinous and violent, and the killer disappeared into the night never to be found. Today, we are examining one of the most prolific serial killers of all time: Jack The Ripper.
