In the summer of 1816, at the age of just eighteen, Mary Shelley was visiting Byron at his home in Geneva.  The bad weather prompted Byron to challenge his guests to write a ghost story.  Shelley's story that night grew into 'Frankenstein', which was first published in 1818. Credited as the first science fiction novel, this is a tale that has stood the test of time...
