Before Jesus started his earthly ministry, He was baptized and spent 40 days fasting and praying. Before He faced His greatest trial on the cross, He prayed all night. Over and over throughout the Bible, we see that Jesus prayed first, then did whatever was needed. We want to pattern our lives to match the patterns of Christ’s — this year, let‘s pray first.
