We consumers, consume and much effort is made to move people to consumption and more often than not, OVER consumption. Somewhere along the way I wanted to simplify, to have less, do more with less and use what I have rather than contribute to the excess of a modern world, bent on having me play the obedient role of consumer.

In her book, The Little Way of living with Less, Laraine Bennet takes the simple teachings of St. Therese of Lisieux and blends it with a method of reducing one's life, in size and footprint and getting back to essentials.
She shares personal stories we can all relate to and takes downsizing to a spiritual level by incorporating the teachings of this great Saint in order to help humble us a little and live our lives consciously with less material and more spiritual.
