Hello, Hello, Hey, how are you doing? How you folks are welcome to another space with me, carlu Aja. This is our money space every Sunday, which I do with eight pm West African time. And here we're of course talking money, finances and of course the economy. We want to make it personal. So how do the money talk end of the day affect your wallet? This week, We've got guests in the house from Clever. I just learned about Clever and I'm super super excited to hear what they
have to tell us today. Clever. I've literally get them to on mute introduce themselves that we told you then, I don't forget it's just my own background. How we go to them about Clever and how I think what they're doing is just fantastic. So tolu on mute, go ahead, introduce yourself. And I've got Philip as well. Let's get you guys to produce yourself and then we'll take it from there. Awesome, thank you. I hope everybody can. I can hear you a looting player, go ahead, awesome,
awesome, Hi everyone on this Sunday. My name is A Labi. I'm a co founder of Clever Banking, I'll pass it over to Hello every Hello, Hello, Hello everyone. This is Philippe Adama or the City of Clever Banking and co founder to Do as Well, also Nigeria. All right, guys, welcome to the space. Right. So, like I said me personally, right, I wrote a book and I wanted to get folks to do the editalu tricity, what to do the proof read of my manuscripts.
So I went on Fiver and I tried to get like the gig, those guys that do the gig CONDI me to basically come and read my book and I'll pay them. Right, someone from Nigeria hopped onto the into Fiver and grabbed the book and we talked and I did pay, but I sort of like to talk to her. How do you get this money that I'm gonna pay you? Oh, I'm using an account of so so and so, so when they get it, they're gonna give it to me. I
live in Nigeria completely. This is just my way of making money in Nigeria. So essentially, she was in a gig economy, right, and she had a profile out there. But when she gets the money, it's a long process to go from five to someone to her long process. I work with a lot of folks back home in Nigeria. They work in Nigeria, they don't do jobs offshore like they do programming or whatsoever, and they get paid same thing. They raither check to them, or they are doing crypto,
or they are doing pay me this way, pay that way. I think Clever has hit on something something unique where they are basically open up account for you. You can be in Nigeria and have an account offshore, allowing you to then get those revenue use that you would have legally right thrue an account. I think it's basically clever, clever, clever, So I didn't want to do to just walk us through too. Let's start with just what
is clever? What are you guys doing. Let's tart from the history alls yes, yes, So with clever right, we enable people based in Nigeria to be able to open a US based bank account so that they can receive payments for their service for the work that they've provided to a customer abroad. And the reason for this is literally what you just described how the right is.
We see a lot of a lot of young people who are going into who are exporting their skills going into the big economy, right, and they're providing services to companies or even know that individuals are broad But when it comes time for them to now get paid for all this hard work that we've done, it's not a problem. Right. People that maybe retten out to their friend or please help me receive these payments in your people accounts and their friends
depayments. Now with story, they don't receive dependent from the friend. They need take one month the friend shots them this that happens, right. So that's where we've been looking online to learn more about this problem, understand what the gaps are, and that's what we decided, Hey, we can actually find a way to solve this problem by providing this offshore account so that people have their empowered to have their own sources of receiving this payment from their customers.
So all you have to do is after you open a Clever accounts, you tell your customer, hey, this is the account number, this is the RAPT number with the US these accounts. If you're based in the US, just send me a regular US to US transfer right, which is cheap. It's not even that expensive and it's pretty fast. And even if your
customer is not even in the US. Let's say they're in London, you can still give them the same US accounts and they can still send your money from London, from Canada and for other contents across the world as well. Some of our customers do this today as well. So essentially, right, like the CrOx of Clever is to enable people receive US dollar payments from anywhere in the world into their accounts. That's Indian day, right, and that's
why that's that's the first step for us. But eventually we want to go beyond even just receiving USD to now I've received this US detements into my Clever accounts, well, not naturally, I probably want to do a bunch of things with it. I probably want to maybe combat some of it to the R so I can pre pay my bills. Maybe I want to put some of my US the cards so I can't pay for Netflix. Right, How can I do all of this within Clever instead of sticking together five different platforms.
That's also part of the world viewing to make Clever this for lin stip banking platform for you to be able to get kid but also manage your money over time. Gotcha? So that's a great introduction. I mean, you link that story really perfect. I love it. Quick question for you, is it only usn't with Philippines? Coppy? Is it only US? You can they account have been based in the US, but I can sembon it from anywhere in the world to that US account one hundred percent. The account
right now is based in the US. It's a US account. However, can you save money from anywhere? So this account has an account number. It also has a Swift code, so I can give somebody the Swift code. And like I said that our customers are doing this today by somebody in France, I can't give them the accout number the Swift code. Maybe you've done a jump for this person. The person can go to their bank app and they can send me the money that they need to pay you right into
this my clever account. Got cha. For those who don't know Swift, it's just international transfers. We're going to ceremony across the border US. Your Swift code. So that's also what tool is talking about. Philip hop writing in here, how has it been really give you a story to give you them some numbers or whatever? What's the story? So far from when you
guys started till now what can we keep? What are guys doing? Yes, So between when we launched we launched in August this year, specifically around the middle of August, and between August and October, we got about thousands of users that have signed up on the platform, a percentage of them that
I've been actively receiving money from their clients. We've had people who've provided very solid feedback about how Clever has saved their business from the perspective of, oh, I've done all these wonderful things for my clients abroad, but they're tired of going through hoops to send me money now that I have a Clever account that can easily pay me without issues. So that's been very very great getting an account of very solid and positive feedback from the customers who are serving today.
And I had I had to say it's go ahead to listen. Is in my name? So the account is in my name, not Clever's name, right, It's in my name exactly. So if Usman Mohammed creates a Clever account and gets a dollar accounts, the name that they will see is Usman Muhammed exactly. So yeah, So on the things, the list of things that we have planned. We're like super excited to be in this place because Tolu and I have significant experience. She used to work at Stripe or
the Proper Manager. I will have been a software engineer for like forever at like some big companies like Amazon Web Services and whatnot. So we have the experience and the drive to really build to be very customer obsessed that really really build solid features. For example, we have USD accounts today that we launched in August. We are actively working on launching our cards products that's coming very very soon. We have you know, savings and investments like planned as on
the roadmap, a bunch of other interesting things that are coming interesting. So two Nigerians solving a unique Nigerian problem that you cannot get an account, you cannot get payments to Nigeria. I mean, who hasn't had this problem before? I go abroad. You can sell way to South Africa and give it just my own book, right, I wrote a book, I went to Amazon's published in Amazon. I can sell my book in South Africa, in Egypt, I believe in Kenya I can sell to Nigeria. Why because there's
just no payment network for Amazon in Nigeria. Same thing with pay with paper, lots of apps. You're Nigerian, you can't pacicipate just Nigeria. Yeah, I know, and so I like when I see Nigeria solving our own problems in the right way. So this question don't be for us. You on to the web, wants just popping? How does this work? Just walk me through, Calu, What do I need to get a Clever account?
How does it work? Okay, so right now we don't need to have a mobile app, but that's actually in the worst and we'll be launchestone. So what you would do is you will go to get clever dot com. Once you go to our website, you can read a little bit about you know, what we offer and our various products. Then you can click the get started button. There's this very you know, shiny gold button looking at you and you can click that to get started. When you click that
button, then you can now sign up. All you have to do at that point in time is put your name, your phone number, you know, just very very many passwords, and then you get very minimal information. Then you create the accounts, you verify your email. It's all like standard accounts opening stuff. And then once you get access to the golpage, now you need to do KYC, which is very critical of course, before you
can get this USD account. YC process. We try not to make it too cumbersome where we ask you for so many documents, your your parents, better certificates, and then we tell you would take three months. We try not to do all of that, but we do require BBN. We require VVN as you know, like that's a standard requirement from the Central Bank of
Nigeria. So we require you to have your BBN, and we require that your bv and actually passes verification because you know there's some you need to make sure that you know people are not using other people's bbns and all that, so we require a BBN. We also require your ID, so not just that your BBM passes, but we also need you to upload an ID could even be n I N we passport botas car, driver's license, whichever one you have upload Now once we once we go through that and we verify you,
you can which usually happens within a day. You can then go click one button, open your USD account. You get your account number, you're out in number, you can start sharing that with your clients and start receiving payments. Do I see my balance like a normal bank account, I can see my if I log it. Can I see my balances in that bank account? Can I transfer from that bank account to say what spark go back America? What can I do with that bank account? On the ass so
you can see your balance. As soon as you open your account, you will see your balance is zero. Once you receive money, you will get an email that you've received the USC deposit and then you log in and you
will see your balance as updated. Now in terms of what can I do with this money as of today today today, you can transfer this money to any Nigerian account, so you can in the in the app, you can set up okay, I want to transfer money to my access bank or like sometimes I do, I want to send money to my mom's FCMB accounts. You can do that too, and then you can transfer money to this person and it gets delivered within minutes. You mentioned something about can I transfer to
some bank of America? Yeah? Told us from them back to the bank. Yeah, So for now you can transfer to a US to a non Nigerian bank. For now, you can only transfer to an Egerian bank. Oh okay, yeah, so for now you can only transfer to between nights from your Clever account to a Nigerian bank. But we are looking at supporting the ability for you to transfer across the world to other US banks or given other banks in the world as well. That's something that will come some very
soon in someone's time. But what gets tonight you is it dollars for Nira? What do I enjoy night you? So for now it's Nearra. So if you're sending money to someone's Access bank, we will just show you an exchange rate as well, and we try to offer very competitive exchange rates, so we'll show you the exchange rates and then you can just withdraw in Narra to that account. Very soon. Would also enable you to be able to be draw to with dorma accounts, in which case to the USD you are
withdrawing to these dorma accounts. We know some of our customers would like that if asked for it, so that will come soon as well. Okay, And this is this is just America to night. You are not in the nature to America yet, not yet exactly. So it's America USD to nearra not yet the other direction, yes, but that's also on the world map. Yes, gotcha. I just want to ask it about talk about Microsoft. What about the data security and all this? If I give you guys
all my information, how safe are you guys? More or less? Thank you very much for raising this, colum In fact, this is where this is one of our bread and butter in terms of like when as a brand about I mean, it's right off our expertise. Ali, I worked at ALBS, like I said before, and so data protection is something we take very very seriously as of today. Once data is provided by customers, we follow best practices to like encrypt data so in the events of any kind of
disas style or something, nobody's data will be exposed. Besides that too, since we start these things in encrypted format even within the organization, with structured things in such a way that people don't have unverified access to things. And so security and data protection is something we've thought about from you want and we're taking very serious on an ongoing basis. And I just just wanted to quickly add. Let me just hype up my my co founder a little bit.
We're not hype bophimself so a lot of intext maybe all a lot of FinTechs use a WS. Okay, I want to see WS. What is such as Amazon talk about a WS. Just give us a breathup understanding the you know why you mentioned a WS, so and it's Amazon Web Services, it's a cloud. I can will let Philip go into the details of this, but Philip, we can tell you about a WS. But what I wanted to say real quick was that a lot of a lot of FinTechs use a
WS to host you know, your services and what they're building. So we also use a WS. But not only do we use a WS, but we have Philip who actually work and build some things within a w S, which you don't really have in many many FinTechs. Right, So it's not just so take this a WS, then I'm going and use it to build stuff. But like we need to have even lower level understanding of this,
which we're very fortunate to have from Philip's expertise at in WS. So that's something that we continue to enjoy as clever, which helps us build the very very robust system. So a WS in and out of we's we've got strip, We've got one Stripe, what the WS type team solving a Nigeria problem for Nigeria's I love it, Philip, jump back in there. Yes,
thank you so for the question about what WIS starts for that. Amazon Web Services and for those who do not know, this is pretty much the world's largest and leading cloud service provider and what that means is that Amazon serves a lot of businesses around the world by providing them tools that make it easy for them to build software, run software, deploy software that serves millions of customers
without managing the infrastructure to themselves. So my experience at it WS. In fact, we're going to be talking about how people position themselves for global opportunities, right So, me being in Nigerian and having had this experience where I built software from scratch within IT a viewers that's been launched and serving customers has definitely put Clever in a position where you know, we can really tap into
that experience and build something that's secure and that sales that skills very well and customers very well. I love that last question. Guys. Of course, guys, you want to speak your history quest for the MIC, I'll give it to you. Dms are also open But my last question on my own just understand this most what about taxation? If I get a US accounts and I give one of my US accounts, I get that ten ninety nine whatever in the US. What of all of taxes do I pay? Is any
tax Niger? Do you guys know about it? I don't have to. I don't give ask me advice, but word in about taxes regards this. Yeah, yeah, I mean it's a it's a good question. So the accounts that we offer at this point in time, it doesn't have any tax implications to our customers. Yeah, so you can receive payment people also, it's been payments for different things, is right, But the payments you are
receiving doesn't have any tax implications for you to receive the payments. However, I'm not I'm also not like people get to going to talk to their tax Let's say, for example, you're a remote worker. You are hired by company X in that based in the US as a contract. Okay, now you have a contract with this company X. That's that's outside of clever, but yours isn't clever to receive your payments. And now from the clever stand
points, there's no taxes there. However, because you're a contractor based in Nigeria receiving payment from abroad based on Nina Ningeria laws, we're supposed to pay some taxes, right, so that one is like a separate tax that you just it's just in come taxes. You need to figure out as someone who's earning money, whether you're getting paid in error, you're getting paid in USD. You need to figure out your taxes independent of Clever. We we are
just this Nedle person facilitating the ability for you to receive your payments. And in each case there's no there's no tax, there's no additional tax. All right, perfect, perfect, all right, let me go to DS. I've got Leslie. Leslie, thank you so much for joining in. Leslie, just go ahead. Yeah, you've heard about Clever. I think it's very unique. What do you think I think? First, let me commend to put them Philip and to it's quite challenging to see people trying to walk
together. And yeah, so this team, I don't know talk the founders. It's a little question for you. Yeah, so yeah, maybe let's so it's me and Philip as co founders. We are the only two founders However, we have a very grateful for our team. We have a team of engineers about maybe eight nine. We have a marketing team, we have compliance right like this kind of a product is not it's not easy. Only
are feeling towards us that now the whole thing from found that perspective. It's me and Philip and maybe we want to even a little bit about how we met. So I've not feel it for more than ten years now. Yeah, my brother have been pretty much bestings. So I've moved him through my brother and me. My brother and Philip were very fortunate to go through this program sponsored by the US Embassy in Nigeria and Abuja, where you apply to colleges in the US you get a scholarship and so on. So three of
us, me and my brother Philip, we went through this program. We got scholarships to the US physipal states. Now, but he came all the way from I don't know. I'm small town in m t M. It's one of the if not the best. Yeah, yeah, I'm always here. I've always here to High Phili. I'm always here to High Philm. But yes, yes, we've known it that for a while. So my
mom knows Philip, you know, its famili those me. So we've been working on Clever since much Actually, I think Philip mentioned we launched in August, but we've been working on this is match. You know. We did a lot of research together, even tried something, try different things, and then got us to the point where were like hired people are the team and now are the point where we launched. We have some customers, but when we know that when I was parting the surface, we want Philip and I
want to be on this journey together for a long time. So that's a good work. I love it. I love that love I love I love that. I love that. You know why at this person, you know you can't good team is just one for the product. Yeah, so when you have a team, that's understand because I've been at our space. You know my experience about ten years past. We built something similar, but it it clashed along the way because the team was not you know, the best
of it kind that we're expecting. So if you have a team that all of you have got to the point of understanding each other, knowing each other very well, and your strength, you can compliment yourself and build something good I've stayed in Europe. When when I was staying in Madrid for a while, I know it was quite difficult to do transaction unless you go through the
route of Western Union money transfer. And then if you now have something of this kind, that part of the unique value position should be taking advantage of the dumb side. If the if payment can be received this side and it's dollar piece, you have more actual traffic as much as possible than you can even be thinking of with the Onnira. You know, because now you exchange rate, the is changer ate to give it as long as it's not the broody change the bookie, you know, the changer rate, I doubt if
it would be highly competitive at all. You would prefer to get that is generate on the streets. That's that's that's where the path is. So think of that area. And for what for me, what you're doing is a good one. I think takes space is not staturated. We've not even scratched enough of this space. So what you're doing right now is something I quite appreciate and I want to do the best lovely. I love that, Leslie.
That's the test one. That's all the question for you from the DM somebody just as we don't have asked you before, but they're just again, So what is asking? Do you help the as open account in night you? Do you do that the other way? Those soone's ask also make sure I get that clear for you. So is it that somebody is based in THESP they want to open an account? Correct? Don't open an account in night you okay, not yet? Yes, but very soon yeah, not
yet right right now you only have us the account. Very soon we're launching our energy and account so you can be based on anywhere in the world and you can open it a NEARRA bank account very soon. Excellent, Okay, I've got in lawyer in Manuel, please go ahead, sir. All right, good evening. Thank you so much for this, for this opportunity. And let me start by commending this before I did. I know Colors over and time again commended you guys. But this is really a bit for day,
particularly for the engineers. So my question is very strict. I'm not concerned about not being able to transfer dollars from the Clever account to doom sceniary account. I think the last packer I spoke about it also, and I think it's extremely extremely important to be able to transfer directly dollars from your clever account to your clearer account. I think also that to mentioned that that would be up very soonable if I can ask that is there timeline to when that
will be available? Thank you so much? Good questions? Yeah, yeah, thanks for that, Thanks for that. Do you want to just I already know that this is a need right, well, can you just say a little bit more on why why would you like to transformerly to your divisionary account? You know, just for our own learning as well well? Asking why do you want the dollars more or lest if you can get the naira
in the exchange rate, why do you want the dollars list? Maybe that's me all right, all right, I'm going to answer this this question like last peak I said, ah, so I can't. I don't know his name quite well, I'm not sure if they if the rates it's going to be competitively enough. Thereates that, okay, that you get the offering, so so that's why you say that, okay. And also making payments this this I'm not so sure the clever accounts have cards yet, so making payments
is this international payments? I've been a benefications. Well, I've had to make different payments for various international exams coofes and making payments usually you can't do your cards, so you have to use your dollar cards and stuff like that. So it's is it movements from those accounts than your air accounts, So you want to get dollars into those where account So I think you get my coming from I'm not becompetitively enough. Thank you. So that's just my opinion.
Thank you for those two points. This is why I like going a little bit deep into understanding you know, the motivation for this question. So the first point, or let's start with the second point on you know, you want to actually use this US dollars that's in your accounts to be able to pay for stuff online. Take card. So we're going to be launching our cards soon. This one is in a matter of weeks. We'll just actually, in fact, right now it's life to only a subset of customers.
We're just doing wrapping up our peresting. So once you have your usd card or clever, you can top of the card and you can pay for stuff. To the second point of okay, exchange rates, is it going to say bank rates. Is it this rates right? We try to offer very competitive rates that is not bank raads right, So it's very similar to the mark to the market rates. So that's what we offer, and we
understand that it's possible that some customers. But I still want to send money to your dorm account, which is why we still have it on our road map that we want to get to this. You're asked about when exactly. I'm not able to share specific like dates or months for this one, but I will tell you like two to the end of Q one to like that kind of match maybe, But again I don't want to like com it to
that sense. You know, this depends on a bunch of technical and engineering things and as well as the other things are working on a road man, But it's important to us and we want to get we want to go on to enable that transfer to them very soon. But we're looking at twenty twenty four from that one. Yeah. Interesting, interesting now Sorry. I sometimes also want to find out from them, like for example, I know I usually end reacting from some of my work through some public publication, you know,
companies like Greenwich and all of that. If it is possible, like if I had set in Europe, for example, it to be difficult for me to have it pay per accounts. Now you can be integrating your platform. If you can integrate your platform to some of these you know, international bodies where people do a work and they want to end or whatever, they can enter your platform and get it to that dollar whatever currency. So now your your your platform. Does it only receive or accept dollar or euro and
other currencies? Yeah, for now, we're focused on dollar on the USD. Yeah, we we we think about other currencies and we believe that we'll get to other currencies as well. But the way we look at it is we want to do it very very good job at USD. We don't want to just start with five different currencies. Everything is like halfway done, right because we're so distributed across so many different things. So the approach me and Philip A taking this, let's start with USD since that's where a lot of
you know, a lot of the boding is going through USD. Let's just do it very very good job. We get you all these other features and then we go to other currencies. You can look at you if I if I don't live in the country where my my my ends are in a dollar and I end you and I expect to use to have the transaction of my neuro account. That that would be very We have a lot of close look countries and eurocurrency that would also to meet or facilitated the you know, acceptability
and usage of this platform very quickly. Yeh, that's important. Let's it's all about baby steps, right, I want to get you want to get the first off right, and then we want yeah, good, good, good, yeah, goot good feedback on that. Yeah, I've got Prince Prince, thanks for holding on. We dropping in now. But Prince please go ahead. Princess Sarah please go ahead? Or I saw that, Mike, I am Sam, I am sad. We've got the floor, please
go ahead. Okay, Yeah, good evening everyone. Yeah, I'm someone from speaking from Swinging st Com. I would love to appreciate the team on total Philip, I think I have clever maybe before before they even like come out. I've been following to do so so so closely on LinkedIn Twitter every year and I missed they actually July twenty seventh this year, and I mean that before they even don't the product by August. So I've been on top of clever and just knew us before we lost. Are you? Are you
Sea Come? I have my message on LinkedIn off too clever on the shot or the clever LinkedIn and well it's yet to be responded to, but I hope I can get the respond after this Smitty, so will respond to you personally. Thank you for knowing us before we learn. Yeah, I mean that's just because of the great work they're doing. And I mean this world needed problem in Angelia stubbing my my based with Ninjia. She is trying to pay for ils. Lots of Vegas are trying to pay for the fold.
I mean, I'm a scholarship group and every enginers are looking for people that have dollar card that they can help them pay. So with this kind of solution, I mean, everyone can easily pay for their own like maybe examination fee by themselves, just but into the dollar they want. So my question will be like ideas some particular officials that we should be expecting in the road
map. I mean, if you can just list some of these things that you have already on your roadmap and just the lost what we should be expected in the next coming years or the next coming months. According to the plan. And secondly for me, I am more. I mean I'm in Europe, so I'm not really looking at the dollar account now and someone has already asked for the Europe account. Another question how to acts is like they're like
a possibility of having I can investment platform. I mean, these are most of the things that are come onto the of products like this or in Europe. Actually, because I would love to invest in dollar in Nigeria or in dollar in US if it's possible to use this platform, just if the possibility and if there is also any interesting products or the officials that would be all benefit to me. Yeah, thank you, awesome, Philip, you want to take this one, Yes, I can jump in here. We have
quite a lot of very very key features planned. Whoever, so the immediate one that we talked about was cards that we're going to be launching very soon. On top of cards, when we're done with that, we're potentially going
to give people this ability to invest and save in US assets. But before we give your ability to save and invest in US assets, will give you, you know, these engine accounts to make it easy for people to create engine accounts, provide error and then figure out how to get that nearra to dollar, you know. So there are lots of other things. So these are like some of the more immediate ones that we're looking at. But you know, the thing with the startup is that our main goal is to solve
pain points for Nigeria. So how we want to go about that is to continue to get our feedback and then refine our roadmap based on you know, what reality says. But I've talked about this has mentioned already, this savings
an investment program. Sorry raising your hands, oh yees, because I have amber question, but or just go ahead, Yes, I think that's that's pretty much is I just mentioned a couple of them, but there's more and we're going to be refining those based on what the market is and what our customers are saying. Great, great, so you're okay, Prices is able to speak now pretty because pep your head up on mute and let's go ahead that question. And then the last thing, sorry I did mention this our
mobile app is coming very very soon. Mobile app is very very key and it's coming and potentially general Yes, gotcha, gotcha, that would be cool. That'll be cool. That's all wayful as Prince go ahead. Thank you so much, mister Calu, thank you, mister Phillip Paper, thank you to the other team, the other colleague. This is a very exciting opportunity and I'm so glad on the futures, the opportunities, the easy payment and the ability to make across boter payments. This is a very exciting, very
innovative. I'm glad to be a part of it because I definitely I'm going to be strategizing on how to ensure that I get easy payments through this platform. To talk about mister Philip, I've actually known mister Phillip for over twenty years or basically to be see, he knew the life of when I was born. He's he's a great He's a great person, very hard working, very lovative and uh a man that his story is going to move every single
person that listens to him. And you know that definitely has so much integrity, so much integrity because he knows what is at stake and he knows the mountain that he has pulled to get to this height. I am very very motivated to get to get to know you, to have grown up with him. Thank you so much, thank you for the beautiful things you're doing so for for this, my question is now for Clever, can a corporate organization create an account? And let's see if they are to create an account,
so what what name is going to be on him? Or the account? Is he going to be strictly for individuals? Or basically, if corporate organization can create an account, what are the requirements? That's the first question, Prince Prayce. So what are you calling from for? What are you calling from? I'm calling from LEC gotcha? All right, You've got awesome awesome Hey thanks Prince man. I was looking at the photo. I'm like,
ah, this is my guy. Now, thanks for joining us. Yeah, we all grew up to get a can literally on the same street. So Prince can speak to how how how far we've come, and I'm very glad we're doing this again. Just to highlight some of the things he's already mentioned. This should at least give anyone who has some questions, who has some question of doubt that look clever. The people behind Clever are, like Prince already said, have integrity. We're here to serve you very very well,
and so you shouldn't have any reasons. So because about any questionable things that that that you might have seen from elsewhere or that might make you doubt trusting brands like ours. Now, to answer his question about these corporate accounts, we basically if you come to our landing page today, you will see that we say smart USD Banking for you and your business. That for you and your business basically says that we do have corporations in mind. We do
have businesses in mind. In fact, one of the things that I didn't mention earlier when we talked about our roadmap is all the really great features that we're planning for business accounts as well. We are very very close to the point where again in the first quarter of twenty twenty four, where we'll be
able to launch this account that can serve organizations. And so yes, you should be able to even as an organization coming to Clever creat an account put creating an accounts for your organization go through KYC, and the KYC would allow for whether it's a single owner organization or multiple owners, you should be able to provide the dogs for severify in the organization and then they can start receiving USD. I'm doing a lot of other wonderful things based on that with the
USD accounts. So, so if the summary is possible for the corporates to have their accounts the summary of it, yes, So the summary is that it will be possible. It's not possible today because we haven't turned on the capability, but it's been duty and it was possible in the early first quarter of four. Gotcha, just so only just for now? Excellent? Gotcha all right, super thanks Sam, great question. Let me get president's right?
Has k FX nineteen sixty six? Has k FX hask? Okay, let me just so to the DM for you guys, basically asking if you guys have regulation in the US. It's basically one is asking if you guys are regulating in the US to do this. That's long I should have always asking. Okay, Yeah, a great question. So in the US we are registered as a money service business NSD with the Finns, so Finceen is pretty much the regulatory body. There are a lot of FinTechs are you supposed
to register with? So we did this registration before we launched in all those life like April. We also put our registration number on our website. We try to be very transparent about this. So you can go to our website. You can even take this registation idea. If you want to brand search for it. You're happy to hope you're free to do that. So we are registered with the FINS and number one. I mean, that's like the
key part of it. And we're also partnered with financial institutions on the US side as well as the Nigeria side, So all of our all of our partners are licensed. We make sure that we work with licensed institutions and as a way for us to make sure that we are meeting with regulations and just doing the right things in this space is a very highly regulated space, so we do. We do the registrations where we can, and then we partner with licensed institutions where we can as well. Go on, go on,
let me see if okay, I think this is dropped off. I had them more here, so let me go back to d md DM. Okay, just yes, So this is just to clarify. He's saying, yes, you can send money from anywhere in the US in the world to the US account. Yes, you can send you the US account can receive funds from anywhere in the world. They have a swift number, so you get an account number, you get your switt, just give it to you whoever
wants to pay you, and the funds will go. They're just clarifying that before they answer that, and yes, okay, debit card, Yes, debit cards are going to be available. Correct, And what else is here? I think just came Yes. Also work with the exchange rate. So ask about the exchange rate for now your answer, Just give the answer you had spoken about that earlier. Don't ask about the exchange to us of the mechanism the US determine exchanges for the for the transfers. Yeah, exchange are
data every day. That's why I don't like to say a number because by tomorrow to be a different number. However, it's we use the market rate, right, we use the market rate, which are very competitive. So right now extend rate is like one two hundred and something and above rid and tomorrow depending on the markets, depending on a bunch of other factors to change again. So it's something that is refreshed. Sometimes in one day we change
it. We update the extra vuite multiple times because maybe the market is just very bull atile that particular day. That can happen as well. So it's something that's always changing and we try to be very transparent with this. So as soon as you log into the app, you will see, like right now on the homepage, you will see what the extend rate is for the day. Excellent, excellent problem Martin, Martin got located. H go ahead. I believe in everyone. Thank you for this one of our portunities.
I just have to shue the you know of the fintext platform for this great work. So my question is my deposit on your patorm's a form of insurance is had? Like who financial is nd I C like if my money is in the bank, if I dip your perform, is my deposit is short? Guys? I want to find out. Good question. I mean f D nd I see, f D I see and all that kind of stuff. I know it does not do fintexts. I know, I know n D solutely fd I doesn't do fintext for now. So do you have any
combat on that. Yeah, so this is this is a good question. Like once we have our nerror accounts, I mean those would be at the end of the day, right, all this money that we have, whether near accounts or dollar accounts, is sitting in the bank. So Clever is not the bank. So actually we don't you know when I go to hold all this money. So if you receive one hundred dollars into your Clever account and it's just sitting there, it's actually in the bank, and that bank
isn't short. If it's a bank in the US, that bank isn't shot. If it's a bank in Nigeria, that bank is insured. So that's the past. We've pretty much passed through insurance that we are able to give our customers. Yeah, so that's that's pretty much of the answer to this one. All the funds leave in the bank and the banks are the banks
are in short. But to do so Solomon hold On Martin did answer a question you do you have any fund of your good Yes, yes, matcham where you call it from, Martin, I'm going from Burton, Okay, just checking. Thanks so much and I appreciate you, sir. Thank you Solomon. You've got the floors in mister so lose. Yeah, thank you very much for the opportunity. You're welcome. So I would like to know we are people planning on creating APIs for for programmers to integrate payments from their
applications through their bank accounts. Is there any plan for that? Definitely. This is also on our roadmap, So we have been building our own APIs actually in order for us to build Clever and what we offer today. However, the APIs are just internal to Clever, but we want to get to the point where we can also externalize this API so that all that developers can
viewed on top of Clever. We're just not there yet because for us to be able to do that, we need to make sure that our our partners, our banking partners are you know, everybody's on the same page and a line and some of these things just take time, but it's something that we want to do in the future. Please feel free to jump in as well. Well that's yeah, that's pretty much it. And I would say the only thing to add here is that we from like an expertise angle, we
are very very well positioned to be able to do this well. So once the non technical conversations that the conversation with our partners materialize and we get a green light, we will have something that works very well ready for you guys. Excellent. Just to reset the room where speaking with Clever, we're talking about how they have developed this app that allows you as a Nigeria more or
less. So it literally if you want an account in the US. So the quick Worest just because just came to mind, it can non Nigeria's gon account with clever just great, great question. I was even going to talk about this so right now, it's only Nigerians, right, But this problem of needing to receive payments from abroad is not a Nigerian problem. True. Almost every day we get people from Ghana. We get people I was going
to say, one of my favorite countries. But let me also say that since we have a lot of Nigerias on the car, but we get people from Ghana who are always emailing or saying, hey it please, I want to open the US the account I need to get paid. We get people from from Kenya as well who are reaching out right. So it's not a Nigerian problem and we do plan to steal toward our countries very soon. It's just you know, as for us to get to get started, we decided
to start with Nigeria. Since one Nigerians, Nigeria is also a big market. We understand the space. So we decided to start with Nigeria. But in twenty twenty four. We expect to go to other countries and help meet this need as well. Excellent. So I just in a rec after room I was spent to Clever. There's basic serting out unique problem ausay for all
Africans were starting with ninet year and how you can get paid abroad. I mean, if you're a tech guy, if you're a gig employer, if you are anyone that receives money is from the abroad, especially the US. Basically this is for you, right And they have a swift code and the account number. So if I'm working in Nigeria and I am working or I'm just a dependence in Nigeria, I can open up Clever, give them my
routing and my swift and account number and I can get payment. So if the hospital or the wife travels and you're making rebbit chances to do we've got talk about rebbittances. This is about twenty five billion. What does Clever play in this fantasis face? So this is then mean that Clever can endable rebittances is not what it means. So remedtances from somebody who's based in the US
to their family member, So from a technical standpoint. Yes, actually yes, I mentioned Yeah, like some of my my siblings, you know, they use Clever to be able to the top of their Clever accounts with USD and then they convert to Nerra. They send money to our mom, they send money to other people in Nigeria. So you could use it right but we do right now, we are focused on people who are based in Nigeria who need to receive USB. Somebody who's based in the US can still use
Clever to send Neerra. However, there are additional features we want to add so that it makes that process simpler. So for example, I just mentioned that if you're based in the US today you want to use Clever, you will need to first send your US dollars into your Clever USD account and then you can now send NERA. But a lot of people based in the US they like to just use their card. They don't really like to top of bank accounts, you know, the way we do bank transfers in Nigers.
Some people in the US they prefer to just spend the card. So we want to get to the point where if you're based in the US, you can also just link your debit card to clever and directly transfer money from that card to somebody in Nigeria. That's something we want to add all over time. However, like I said, as of right now, if you're bused in the US, you can use it as long as you have your BIDN
to onboard them completely. YC, you can use clever topic talk with you as dollars and send the R to anybody in the engineer Okay, including myself because so it's a quotious question on the D and he's asking how long on the average is KYC, just on their average, If I have on my document VN and my ID, how long is a KYC process? Yeah, it will take like hours within a day. It won't be It shouldn't be more than a day. It's just sometimes I don't know. I don't want
to say minutes, but it's more like one day or less. That's the average, as long as we have all your documents right. But sometimes we see some people they are taking the picture of their ID, but it's not clear, so then they need to retake it. Sometimes maybe the BVAN is just not the right thing, or people are sending us pictures that are not right and they need to redo it. Those ones can take time, right, but if you submit everything within a day, within a couple of hours,
you will get approved and you can open your USB accounts immediately. Gotcha. So again to just this hypoetical total, I feel just hypothetical, is that I can say in part of America, I can open up a Clever account, fund that Clever account, travel to Nigeria, we draw in Nigeria and spend I would. Let's Philip take this because I feel absolutely in fact, I did this in so in June. I was in Abuja for about two months and there were multiple cases where I needed to pay my boat driver
or pay for food at a restaurants, but Access bank as well. Some them not mentioned the bank, but there were banks whose networks were down and I couldn't necessarily pay people. I basically just used Clever Banking for that. Like my dollar was in my dollar account at Clever and I needed to pay my boat driver, so I added them as a recipient and paid them immediately and it got it there on the spot. So for that scenario, I think maybe that's kind of what you were asking about. Correct, Yeah,
because I'm just looking at minutes. You just want to get funds in Nigeria and really with worses, I want to have multiplet it on. Thence is if your car doesn't work in Nigeria, at least you have cash in Nigia. Don't want to go all the way and you have a Bank America card but you have no narraw cash and you are like you know what you do. This is going to be like an additional way. I would make sure I protect myself, get clever, get your card. If you travel to
Nigeria, you can still fund and get the NIRO. I mean you're paying to yourself. So I would just say start a kid for Nijera, traveling back home to Nigeria, get clever, put it there in addition to whatever you are bee it. It's working. Makes sense to me. It's a US bank account, so which means that Okay, that's just think into aloud. Yeah so Philip, Yeah, going back to DM. So it's asking, yes, address that question. Do you guys have an agapit card?
Yes, but just that question is on the way website, Yes, website folks, folks are accent or the website how they can get started. Don't want to send it to be a friend or your cousin America. They're asking for the website. If you could please plot that in I will do a retwittingness after the space is a website to Clever how they can literally get started this one. He's saying, Hi, thanks for the space. I'm listening. I might not use Clever because I don't have a us by account,
but I want to send to someone that I think would be needed. So please, if you can give me the link or the app, or I can send to my friend, I think they would need it. So Philip totally just send that to me and then we can get rolling other questions here on the DM, I heard you said it's not going to be tax Yeah, so let me just answer that. He's talking about the taxes. What to Do was saying was that if you were being your normal course of business,
of course you will pay your normal taxes. This is just clever in the payment transfers for you. They're more interested per se in assessing you a tax or knowing how much tax you're supposed to pay. All to we told you are responsible for your taxes. They're just enabling the transfers between two jurisdictions. So get your tax advisor, get your account, determine your taxes. This is just a payment platform. They're not going to access or paytent to
percent or charge anything. This is just the payment platform, just like an ATM something like that. Look at that way and that will help you. That's to the Thanks for that question to look to look back here turn it too and also a DM great, great team. I like the energy and the Yeah, I like the did the team great and I'm just wondering when they will pes. For now they are only okay. This is again for Emmanuel's asking if Clever can work after the US. For now, they are
starting from the US. As the world, they're starting from the US. They're going to scale from the US, so watch this space. I only get the US not supposed completely tighten before they just start to go one hundred miles across Europe of across Africa. But for now it is from the US. Let me see. Yeah, lots of questions here, I think folks, it does joining the space, so there's a lot of question. I've already taken your account. Yes it's a US bank account. It to be
opened in your name, that is for Monday Monday. Thanks for the question. Yes, it's a US based bank account. It to be opened in your name, not in the name of Clever. So if you have the account, it will be your name carlu Aja routing. Then account number and swift number. Swift number is your international transfer number different from route and just your local American number. So yes, it's going to be in your name. Mister Woodbecher, How are you doing, sir Woodbacher. You got to
flow up this onmuter so you can we can hear your wonderful submission. This is one of my recuation guys. Everyone within mind, where do you call it from? S either farm now or where sir? We can I can't hear you again. You've dropped off, okay, fixed up audio side. You're dropping in and out. Let me just one real quick. Two you guys are dropping off like lies can mister can Uti? Did I get that? Rights can? Yes? Is it tired or by the same as you t I? Okay, my my, my father trying to be trying to
be all right? Yeah, yeah, thanks thanks, please go ahead? Good? Yeah, okay, great, great. I just joined some minutes ago and I'm hearing some one the full ideas about the you know, opening a bank account in your name? Does that apply? Sorry? Maybe if I'm taking you guys back in Leadle does that apply to maybe Nigerians who are not in the US. Can they open an account? And also can this account be linked to, for example, with trading platform where you can you
know, buy stocks directly in the US. Just two quick questions. Thank you, I've got to the Philipia to the philip If you can just take that. Yeah, it's a good job to recap. Yeah, yes, yeah, go for it. Can you can hear me right? Yes? Yes? Disconnect? Okay, yeah. So for the first question, right now, we support just Nigerians because we can only ky see the van and the Nigerian identity. However, you don't need to be based in Nigeria.
You can be a Nigerian based in Canada, which we have actually right now we have some customers in that book. You can be a Nigeria based in South Africa as long as you have your Livian and your I D. When the n I N I D Passport votas car driver's license, you can complete KYC and open a USD account of Clever. So that's for the first question. For the second question, you said, can you link it to other trading platforms. Yes, okay, yeah, you want to do you know,
trading and maybe with Vanguard for example. I don't know, like you have USD in Clever and you want to move the USD into Vanguard for you to no, no, no, no, no, I mean I mean I mean linking your trading account. So he wants to go for I wants to go from Naira to Clever dollars, then from Clever dollars to them buy stocks in the US for instance, stuff like that. Can he link his knife something like that? Okay, so this is coming soon. This is
one of the features that Yes, we're very very excited about this. It's coming soon. So look when you guys have that, you have to come back. Oh, we will surely will be back. We are very well. We're working on this, but yeah, it will take some it will take some months, but we we're very excited to get this going because again, like I said, right, like Clever is not just all about oh, received payments in USD. No, we also want to enable and empower
you to manage your money effectively. And this involves growing your money right and make it small decisions. Yeah, so this is something that will be supporting very soon. Okay, great, great, great, because that will be the attraction point for m Okay okay, I mean care for me. That attraction points is reallyd to both ways. I do both cities right, and I'm looking for a way I could send money back and forth. For me, just sending money from from the US to Nigeria is hell, you know,
it's I have a very very easy to do it. But I think this is the Nigerian side, the Nigerian bank side, that gives me headache. You know, it gives me head sometimes it's working, but the day it does not work is the day you depend on it. So I just need to have something all the way to do this. And now these guys have the routing number, sorry, the Swift number and their accounts. It's a US bank account with technically, you know, it gives me that there's
a US bank. My phone's out there. It's just a bit safer, you know, just something else. That's how I'm looking at it for and give us the Nigerian side. I do jobs here. Some some folks want to pay me. Some guys just want to pay me and like give us your bank account. I give them when Jerman is like, no, no, don't, we can't transper money. That really tried and I said, we can't transfer money to this account because of this swift. Because I got
that swift was tagged it's Nigeria. They couldn't transfer money. Luckily I had all that means. And they don't do crypto. They don't do all that stuff because they're a corporate. So if I had this, or I'll just keep on saying, oh I have a US bank account. It even adds credibility to you. Imagine. Imagine if I'm doing a gig, I'm on five or I'm doing something and someone saying, how do we pay you? I said, do you want to pay us? Or the only paid in
Nigeria? You just imagine how it's It's even sounds just it shows Okay, you know, I don't understand the business and the structure that he gives to me that I can receive payments offshore. I'm also on shore. You pick your poison. You want to pay me in nira or you gonna payion dollars. I like it. It helps the sames in Nigeria. It gives them credibility. If you're gonna deal in Kenya or South Africa or Thailand. If you're an exporter, imagine a guy exporting young from Nigeria and he wants to
get paid. He said, no, pay to my bank account. Don't be saying pay to my account. That's just pay to my US gonna coount. Oh yeah, you guys gonna count to be like Okay, this guy is, he's been very five by US bank. I love it. That's related to your name, your brand, new business. I think so. I completely think so. Yeah, I think farmers are exporter. As you jump all across that, I don't want to talk about that. But but if you're an exporter, if you are a guy that is getting paid in
from the abroad, I think you jump on all that. This doesn't matter the current The dollar is convertible. If you if you're paid in euro getting dollars is convertible, there's no exchange loss like that. You know, if you get paid in euros getting dollars convert it makes perfect sense. I want to hear Clever tell us that their next plan is to say the money you have in your account sitting there, they would pay you interest. That's really what I want to hear. Next that would just grab it, not not
let them go. Yeah, that's what I want to hear them say. You know that would just good for me. Can I can I one that go for it? Okay? Yeah? Please? This bank now is it? Is it? Is it a standalone bank in the US or it's you know, piggybacking on a you know, a longer another bank or something like that. How is this structured to run in the US? Yeah? So Clever is not a bank by itself, so with your partner with bank banks?
Yes, so right now, if you're to open any bank account on Clever, you will get it was fago account number was fugged out in number that you can use to receive payments. But Clever itself is not is not a bank or used on top of on top of banks. Okay, So essentially, if I'm giving all that account details, I don't need to share the account bank name is Clever right name? No? Give you give them your swift number When you want to receive your payments, you simply give your
swift number. That swift is attached to a bank. So because you can say your bank is Wells FAG and as a bank caused Wells daggle. So but the swift is unique to every bank. So every bank in the world has a swift. Yes, yes, yes, So once you want to receive payments, you can print your invoice and put that swift and that bank account. You don't have to mention the name of the of clever, right, all it is that once once they put that was what what bank is
just is a US bank. They're plugging that's swift into their transfer app. They will see the bank pop up. So that's why I say it gives you credibility because what they're going to see is that you have a bank account in the US. And to open a bank down to the US, you must have passed anti terror, you must have passed anti long. So I mean, guys, you know exactly I'm telling you, like if you are
getting it. Like when I started off this space came, I talked about the lady that that I paid on fiver to do my to read my manuscript. She was from Nigeria. In Nigeria, she had a different name. Was said to talk she's somebody and she talked to me offline and she's Nigeria and essentially it's her quote unquote sister you understand it's her sister's name, sister's address, sisters and everything, because her sister is busy in the US.
But she does the job. Do you understand Her sister gets the job, then she outsources the job to the lady in Nigeria who does it, and there's that gets bid in the US. But that girl now can open up a clever account with her own account and get hate directly directly to Nigeria.
So it's it's really really I love it. I think it helps a lot of folks get employed because that is the one thing in Nigela is missing in our in our gear economy, we can't get paid you know the world that Yeah, so I love it. I'm jumping on the train right now? Do you know how to jump on the train? So how can Ken jump on the train? Says I? You say, doing the space but saying one more time, lots of photos adding now how can Ken jump on this
train? What should he do? Yes? Ken? You can go to www dot get clever dot com, get clever so clever ending with an e dot com and sign up. Very easy to sign up. Complete your KY series is also pretty easy and you will have your USB account details ready for you, so www dot gets clever dot com. We'll also be posting this on Twitter as well. Okay, great, thanks you lot. Once I
get I'll share and then ifica. If you guys have questions even after the space has ended, please send to me or to lo or to Philip. Not a problem, we would of course answer all I can send to them and all that. It's going to be recorded as well, guys, so this will be on the podcast. We can go back and listen to this recording and if you need to get the clarifications, should that DM, should that mail? And then we'll take it from you. I'm basically just running
off now. Just have one guy ask me to speak. I want to see if I can add him real quick, and then we'll just do the round up hopping in real quick. One day. One can hear me? Can you hear me? If you can, we'll take a question real quick. Otherwise we'll just sort of end the space one day real quick. Go go for it, Okay, because I've I've kept to I'm Philip. Here's got much mute the time for yeah, go ahead, the worries, yeah, go ahead. So yeah, wonderful things I'm hearing instead of not.
Sort of, I am in THEE in THEE space and just hearing things and I was intrigued. That's all this space. I was so intrigued and started to join in hearing wonderful things. Yeah, I was about to ask the question caw Loo asked earlier concerning percentages because people want to save and maybe any returns. I wasn't hearing that, so I was glad callow accident. Secondly, I hear getting I tried signing up or tried finding the website. It
was a bit difficult. So please you would like to youd have to post that and please create an instructional video to three minutes. You know, people in Africa's alone to read watch videos and maybe you know in two two three steps they gets to you know, sign up and everything. That would really help. Thank you, Thank you clever for what you do. Thank you very much. So we will be posting our websites and we also do have an instructional video for how to open an account, so we make sure to
post that as well. So we'll be posting that and attaching into this to this space so that people can can see it. But our website is get clever dot com. Get clever dot com and like I said, we'll post it for sure. Thank you all right, thank you very much, kind it will be big fun. Thank you for what you do. I appreciate yourself. Thanks you so much. Let's get c s L a hands up go ahead. So when they thanks so much for that. Yeah, yeah, it's always good to hear. Ye, I really appreciate what you do.
You financial litery, being financially literally is very very important for Africa as a continent. So any new service is great. And I forgive me for asking this question if you've already addressed it, but I mean currently right now, I do some investing in like in your Nageria, Khana, Kenya and South Africa, and I just use crypto and I guess the question I have I guess for Tulu is if someone is using that route, do you have
any channels for people who may want to use crypto as well? Do you have any APIs or quick ways to hook in or And then I have another question for color after you answer this to yeah, great question on crypto. So I also let Philip jump in in a bit. We do believe in cryptos has a simpler way to move money. However, as you know, due to regulation, both on the US side on the Nigeria side, the regulators are not very friendly with crypto, which has cost us to not support
crypto right now. So we don't we don't. We don't have any way for people to send crypto to their clever account or to pay out crypto at this point in time. Doesn't mean we'll never support it, but we're also just keeping our eyes and ears on the ground to see when the government and regulators are more open to crypto so that we can make sure to adopt it very quickly. But right now it's not, it's not supported. Yeah.
So just the only thing I'll add is that even though we are looking at the crypto space and watching regulation, we mostly are looking at stable points at the moment, as like this means of making it easy for us to move move value. That Okay. I think one of the things that I find is that I work people in Nairobi as well acraw and it's just it just
works. I mean, you have to find out the row that works for you, but definitely anything that can make it easier for because I also believe in using staff in Nigeria because of the it's just a benefit you can really get. I'm developing a small boot right now and I'm using staff and I think it's the Ebados right now, and you paid for the school fees and I trained them on how they quickly do the swap and then they're happy with it. It works, and for me as an investor, it's just cheaper
to get the product out. I'm trying to sell it here in the States. But it's a great look. But any any way, you can onboard crypto. I highly recommend it because I mean, you can payment. You can send me Kenya, GNA, Nindera within seconds. It's not even there's
no good point, good point. Yeah you had a question? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah Colo, yeah yeah for you really, I guess the question I have is it's one of those more it's like you know, it's sometimes it's a little difficult to because I get sometimes I get these little fielders out there in like Tybah State, and you have all these people who are doing interesting mining, and I'm just wondering, maybe through maybe your contact space
or your contact list, what links do you have for people who do discovery work. I guess in the North, I mean obviously we know the complications that are there, but the opportunities are really exciting. I mean, I I've been able to secure some land very very cheap, and it's just I'm not an NGO. I'm more like I want to farm and make money. But it's just it's just it's challenging to get to do stuff there. You guys know what I'm talking about. I'm just wondering what have been your perception
of that area and also mining in that area as well. I mean, to get the land is easy, to get the paperwork and the land is easy. I think the problem with land manager is an rock related space and it's very dangerous. That's just what's going on. I mean, it's we're talking trans border terrorism, money laundering, isis all the words you don't want to hear a way here in investment, that's all talking about that. So if it's farming, yes, but if it's minding, I mean, we
have a large gold miner in austral State. The month should have much more than that. Gold diamonds are plenty there, but for now it's just a space you don't want to go into unless the governmentally clean is the top you can go small time you have. It's just something you can invest money in for now. If you look at the official but I'm sorry why there's a tangent. If you look at your official budget, solid miles in Nigeria are
less than five billion revenues. Less than five billion revenues, that's your official number, so you can see that. Just tells you what's going on there. But I don't want to take away from the space of clever. Right, Let's let's okay, all right, so last one is going to be Prince. Prince, you got your hand on, go ahead and speak. President will sort of wind down the space. Praise. Go ahead, you spoken before my go ahead? Yeah, thank you so much, Thank you
mister Klum for the opportunity. I just want to comment the team. I'm also looking very much looking forward to the APIs because I have a beautiful idea I would like to integrate to the platform. And also I am suggesting that we have this space like if every month, want so, because there are a lot of people who are knowing he that would really love to benefit from
those beautiful opportunities and get to love about clever. Thanks so much, mister Philip, Thank you to love, Thank you for this beautiful idea your brought to reality. Thank you so much, joy today. Appreciate that, Appreciate that. Thanks for that, all right, folk, So I mean for the last one as an hour goal already we've been talking with the team from Clever. It's all about the opportunity that they're visibly giving, like Jurius now
to partake in this global eclumn we call the world. You know them is out there and I just are getting trained on their own on it, on the economy. But we really can't participate because we can't get paid, We can't plug into that global payment network because we are caught out. There is another topic, but we are caught out. So I love Clever solving this problem for us and give give us a good solution that we can trust. I commend them for it, Philip and to Love and all the team behind
you guys, great work for bringing this out. You know we can complain, but you guys are solving a problem and that's basically what we want. We are creating jobs, You are creating productivity gains and it can only be best on actually and what you guys are doing. Then we get Philip and thus sort of like, give us the accusal remarks and they will call it a weekend. Right, let you guys go back and say both for your guys, we're here every Sunday, every time eight pm. But Philip to
the Butterflow, Yeah, thank you, Calu. I just want to say we appreciate people who join us today. I don't have much to add other than Clever has a lot of really good things planned for our Nigerian customers and just Africans or people who will be using us in general. And we're very passionate about anything we will do to remove pain, paying around getting money,
paying around investing, pain around particpecting the global economy. So continue to watch the space, follow us for updates, and we want to disappoint excellent. Yeah, we're just exactly right what Philips said. We're very very passionate about this space. Well, like we've said, we've worked ATWS at Stride, We're not just here to just quickly build something for one year and be done.
No, we really want to solve problems, real problems, and we're starting with this problem of getting paid in USD, but we were going to be scaling and expanding to solving other problems as well, so, like Philip said, please, you know, continue to trust us and continue to give us feedback because we will improve based on your feedback. And we're here for the long term, for the long term journey. So very excited and color
thank you so much for having us today on your spaces. This has been really great, really great to answer questions and also get feedback as well. And we look forward to being back in the future as we launch more more products. Look forward to its, Clever look forward to it, and I like to what you keep already beaten. We're here for the long term. If you know, you know, we're here for the long term. So I love that as well that you emphasize at that point. All right,
folks, thanks for hanging out with me again this Sunday. We always here and we'll actually talk money, financial literacy, you know, just to get you guys up the speed of what's going on. Make it personal. This is a personal product. I know. There's no one I know in Nigeria that will not need a service that Clever is basically giving. Non there's no one either we have someone abroad or we want to send money or receive money, and we need this. So I love it and thank you so so
