Forty seven, forty seven days and nights until the American people pick the forty seventh President of the United States, her or him. This is the morning before we get into yesterday's Saturday's. Let me show you the best thing that was on television last night, hands down, the best primetime show on cable News is Aaron Burnett's out Front, and last night Aaron Burnett hosted the incomparable television broadcasting
legend Connie chan and it was great. The end of the interview was an all time classic, and it's my pleasure to share it with you.
Aaron, I have a strain of weed named after me, Connie Chung weed. Yes, I mean, it doesn't get any better than that.
Have you tried it?
Oh, you have to go out of time. You can get a five pack pre role for only twenty two dollars. Do you know if that's good or bad?
You're trying to find out if I actually don't.
Know, see I don't either, Well then.
We will try it, all right, I guess On that note, we'll leave this anyway, not where anybody thought it would go. I want to make it perfectly clear. I have no side deal, no endorsement deal, no deal whatsoever with the proprietors of Connie Chung's weed. But with forty seven days of insanity to go, I suspect a few of you out there may want to sample the wares at any rate. Donald Trump was at it again yesterday, speaking in New York.
Of all places, everywhere there is chaos, everywhere there is mayhem, and Donald Trump is posing a question. You see, Donald Trump has finally found a theme. It's not about you, it's not about your hopes, it's not about your pursuit of happiness. Well, let's hear Donald put it in his own words, vote for Donald Trump.
What the hell do you have to lose?
What do you have to lose? What do you have to lose? What do you have to lose? What an inspiring anthem for America's fascist movement. What do you have
to lose? Of course, the answer is everything. And for a very long time, when we talk about politics and you talk about a general population, asking this question always always is a harbinger of disaster because it speaks to a question that only exists at the edge of the abyss, this pretend world of Trump's for ten years, where we're there are a step away from the edge, and the only way to prevent it is to give him absolute power.
Has in fact brought us to that edge. And so Donald Trump is losing this race, and he's campaigning in New York on Long Island, according to CNN, because he's always wanted to have a big rally in New York. His ego is insatiable. He should have been in Pennsylvania, but he wasn't. He should have been in Michigan, but he wasn't, or Wisconsin or Arizona or Nevada or Georgia or North Carolina, any of the states that are going
to decide the outcome of the race. But Donald Trump was soothing his broken ego in Long Island, in a state that he will lose biglely. It's tremendous because in a political campaign, there are two finite commodities. One is time and one is money. Tick tick. Time is running out for Donald Trump because tomorrow is forty six days, then forty five, forty four, forty three. The voting starts soon, and Donald Trump has an enormous cash problem against the
Harris Waltz fundraising juggernaut. They're going to be spent into the ground in the final forty days of the campaign. So instead of raising money, instead of doing any of the things a campaign would do, Donald Trump has abandoned the race for the cheers of a local crowd on Long Island. And let's be clear, this race isn't over yet. The truth is Kamala Harris has a lot of different ways to win, and she can win from a little
to a lot. The best that Donald Trump can do is win by a very sliver of an amount, win by a tiny spread of votes. That's the high water Market's what he's counting on the mix of fanaticism and indifference. Let's listen to something.
Let me also deliver a message straight to Kamala Harris. The radical left Democrat politicians and the fake news media. Look how many are there?
Is his menacing of the media in the room a threat. Let's listen to the crowd.
And the fake news media. Look how many are there?
If you were a reporter there, would you be frightened? Listen to it.
We've got to get our media back in this country.
We've got to get them back.
But the messages, it's time to stop the lives, stop the hoaxes, stop the smears, stop the law fair or the fake lawsuits against me, and stop claiming your opponents will turn America into a dictatorship. Give me a break, because the fact is that I'm not a threat to democracy.
They are. The American media, if you were to characterize it as the American media is absolutely broken. But it's not broken in the way that Donald Trump says that it's broken. It's broken because it has imposed on us for ten years, this as if it was the only thing happening in the country, and the country hates the
American media for doing that to the country. Now, Donald Trump has announced that soon he will go to Springfield, Ohio, the improbable Ohio town that has become the epicenter of the twenty twenty four campaign, because it is there that there is a battle ground between the truth and the lie, between reality and delusion, between sanity and insanity, between the good and the wrong, between decency and indecency. So what
do you have to lose? I was born in nineteen seventy I don't want to live in Jim Crow America. I don't want to see black people attacked and stigmatized by the most powerful white people in the country as savages or as Rich Lowry says.
Calling to complain about Haitien nigger migrants.
When you get relaxed enough, like Rich Flowery, sometimes it comes out and it's appalling. And this is the choice backwards or forwards. What Donald Trump has done for ten years is assault the truth, assault reality, assault the country, threaten, divide, instigate craziness, and he's doing it as we speak. Do you think it's in your interest for the government to
shut down? The most minimum function of the Congress is to run the government, to appropriate money, and they can't do it because of an infection and an infestation of maga extremists who are unfit, who have bad judgment, who don't care about you, but care a lot about themselves and the power they've accrued. In Trump's Washington forty seven days from now, the Trump era can be ended, and it should be ended because the Trump era has been
a disaster for America. It's been a moral disaster, it's been an economic disaster, it's been a public health disaster, it has been a political disaster. The American people deserve better, but the American people have to make the choice to pick better. And what this election is about is a very simple thing. It's a choice between two people, Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. And there's a lot of differences between these people. Kamala Harris is smart. Donald Trump is
not smart. Kamala Harris is a decent person. Donald Trump is an indecent person. Kamala Harris is an honest person. Donald Trump is a dishonest person. Kamala Harris is a truthful person. Donald Trump is a liar. This is a sick era and will be remembered as such. A time of weakness, the time of one hundred Lindsay Grams, Needy little men and women who wanted to be relevant more than they wanted to be good Americans, grasping men who wanted their piece of attention when they were called to
do their duty for their country. What in the PAULM. Spectacle. I don't want to see a Trump back in the White House, and you should in either, because the truth is, we have a lot to lose here in America. We celebrate our freedom, we practice tolerance, and we appreciate that our politicians are not our kings, that our billionaires are not our priests, and that the powerful are not our bosses. Because we are Americans. This is the warning, And in forty seven days there will be a great test of
character for the nation for individuals across it. But the one thing no American should ever be deceived into believing they have nothing to lose. That's the ultimate suckers bet. And if we're dumb enough to take it, we'll have arrived at that place that Lincoln prophesied about. He said, no army, no matter how powerful, could ever cross the oceans and invade America and take a sit, as he said, out of the Ohio River. If our destiny is to collapse,
that collapse will be a national suicide. It will be authored by our hands, no one else's. And the test has come, and the question is at hand. Just say, when you think about it, you have more to lose than you could ever comprehend. And your children do too, and their children and their children and their children, because the greatest gift, the greatest inheritance we will ever pass down to any of them, is that they may be born American. I'm Steve Schmidt. This is the warning, and
