Thirty four days from today, at the noon hour, Donald Trump will raise his right hand and swear the thirty five word presidential oath, the only one that is written into the US Constitution. This is the warning. And so it was that thirty five days from that moment, the President elect faced the press.
We need a great media, we need a fair media. We need it's very important. And we need borders. We need wolves, but we need borders, and we need fair elections.
What is it that you see? What I see is the ring master and a circus. I see something deeply performative, not even superficially inquisitive. Let's watch this question, thanks as a Trump What about the polio vaccine?
Well, I'm a big believer in it, and I think everything should be looked at. But I'm a big believer in the polio vaccine, the Salk vaccine.
Do you think schools should mandate vaccine? Do you think schools should mandate vaccines?
I don't like mandates. I'm not a big mandate person.
The truth of the matter is, Donald Trump has no idea what she's asking him. None. It might as well be a question about the traffic on a corner in Belarus. It is incomprehensible to him because he is a billionaire who sent his children to private school and he's the president elect of the United States, not the local school board where these decisions are made at any level. That's
not where Donald Trump, of course, is coming from. He's asked a question about vaccines, and the truth is he's indifferent, and his indifference is shown by the fact the demand he nominated to run the country's public health agencies is a conspiracy theorist who is as unfit as the people he nominated to run the Defense Department, the intelligence agencies, and the FBI. All of these people collectively are vandals.
And Donald Trump has made the point that while he is getting ready to vandalize the American system, that the media is tamed and everyone in the room knows it, and he knows it. Like we talked about here on this platform not so long ago, the new prerequisite of this second Trump term in dealing with Trump is simply to be nice. You have to be nice to Donald Trump. And he's talked about everybody who's come to see him.
I did have a dinner with Tim Cook. I had dinner with sort of almost all of them, and the rest are coming. And this is one of the big differences I think between we were talking about it before, one of the big differences between the first term. The first term, everybody was fighting me. In this term, everybody wants to be my friend. I don't know my personality changed or something. But I had as you know, at
Sundar from Google, but I also had Sergei. Nobody reported that Sergey is the owner, the primary owner, along with his friend as you know. And uh, SERGEI was here also. I can't believe you didn't pick that one up. Nobody picked that up.
Serge of course is Sergey Bran who of course is the founder of Google, but also Nicole Shanahan's ex husband. He's the person who made her a billionaire and an attractive vice presidential candidate for Robert F. Kennedy, who used his run as an independent to clear the field for his merger with MAGA. This world that Trump is the ringmaster of is very small. Sergey Brinn knows Elon Musk. In fact, he's the reason he and Nicole Shanahan, according
to media reports, are divorced. She had an affair with Elon, who would go on to spend two hundred and thirty seven million dollars. Let me say it again, two hundred and thirty seven million dollars to help elect Donald Trump. And in the short interregnum between the election in November and today, Elon's return on that investment is in excess of two hundred billion dollars, increasing his net worth to almost half a trillion dollars, A staggering four hundred billion
for the richest man in the world. Who now is the head of Trump's fake and it is fake Department of Government Efficiency, our unelected, unconfirmed, unappointed deputy president And make no mistake, Donald Trump has the power and he intends to abuse it. Now, how do we know? Isn't it the job of a free media to ferret out the truth by allowing the principle in this case the president,
to be who they are. And so it is that, in that sense, the news conference gave us the insight that is necessary for the American people to have when evaluating Donald Trump in this moment. What is it that Donald Trump is thinking about thirty four days before he takes office, before he raises his hand and swears that is he thinking about war? Is he thinking about peace? Prosperity. Now he's thinking about retribution.
I'm doing this not because I want to. I'm doing this because I feel I have an obligation to.
I'm going to be.
Bringing one against the people in Iowa. Their newspaper which had a very very good polster who got me right all the time, and then just before the election she said I was going to lose by three or four points. That it became the biggest story all over the world.
He is thinking about the Des Moines Register and it's Polster and Seltzer who conducted a poll that was wildly off in the days leading up to the election. Donald Trump is going to sue. And because he has trained the Washington media, the national media, the corporate media, the giant media of Walt Disney and Bezos and Comcast to bend at the knee, he expects the much smaller Des Moines Register to do exactly the same. So he is
preparing a lawsuit. And here's the thing. Donald Trump has been impeached twice, He's been convicted of thirty four felony counts. He has survived two assassination attempts. Donald Trump has never bended the knee. So when he is surrounded by people that do. It feeds an awful contempt towards them by Donald Trump that makes their predicament much worse. So. In the case of Justin Trudeau, who came Tomorrow Lago as
a capetulant, his government is falling. Weeks later, Joe and Mika, they came Tomorrow Lago as a capitulant couple, and their show its ratings, da've cretered. Everybody who has sold out by capitulating has paid a price because what they've sold
out isn't their dignity though they did that. It's the trust and the connection that exists between them and their constituency, Their integrity, and their credibility all washed away in a second of weakness and capitulation to Donald Trump, the crocodile behind the podium, the ringmaster directing it all, and all it is is a show. And for a while at least,
Donald Trump is riding high. What he understands is this time in America, he's being recognized by the richest, by the most powerful, at long last, through Trump's eyes for what he is, well and truly okay, And they come to bow Sergey Brand networth one hundred and sixty four billion on his knee. Donald Trump will roll over them until he meets the resistance that he cannot roll over, and that will be an awakened American public who will come to understand that make America Great Again was a
hollow promise, empty words. And the chaos and the higher prices and the instability and the global conflict and everything that is to come, including the abuses of police power, the surveillance, the retribution, the prosecutions, the wire taps, the American people will have to stop it. Donald Trump looks at the world standing on top of the hill, and what he sees is what he can't help but talk about.
When he sees the press, he gets the entertained, and he knows who the lion tamer is because he loves looking at that guy in the mirror. Trump won't be able to kill the free media. He's just able to make the corporate media bent and bow and scrape and dance and do what it is that he wants them
to do because he has the power. And mostly these organizations are controlled by billionaires and are controlled by the richest people in the world who are part of the small club that stands to either get richer or be left behind. Everybody gets rich. If you're as rich as Sergey Brinn around Donald Trump to the next level of riches, maybe Sergei could be worth five hundred billion or even six hundred billion, close enough to Elon as he becomes
the Earth's first trillion dollar man. All you have have to do is stay in line. When it comes to politics, the leader decides what is right, what is up, what is down, what is read, what is blue? Whatever anybody wishes to call that, it is not democracy, and whatever anybody wishes to call the circus and more a lago where the client capitulated and came press probe Donald Trump with nonsecuiturs and nonsense and trivialities. Just don't call it
a news conference, because that's not what it was. It's steerter for the masses, bread and circuses. Seven days a week, thirty four days to go. And the writing is on the wall. The most powerful president in American history is coming to town, and he's pissed off, and his heart is filled with retribution and revenge. And for every person who bends the knee in front of him, all they do,
he's make him more aggressive. They worsen their individual position, they lose their dignity, they break the trust, they get steamrolled, and Trump gets bigger and meaner. But somewhere out there there is a line, and when he crosses it, well, a tough people will be standing there facing back. That day will come, but it ain't tomorrow, and it ain't in the first one hundred days of what's going to
be the abuse presidency of our nightmares. Get ready, bending at the knee is the wrong thing to do, and we'll find out soon enough, just like our grandparents did that the price of appeasement is very high. As a philosophy, it makes sense the person who feeds the crocodile may be the last eating. But the problem is they do get eaten. This is the warning. I'm Steve Schmidt.
