First week of the Trump presidency is spiraling to its end. This is the warning Donald Trump is holding court in the Oval Office. War is still raging in Ukraine. Trump said he would have it ended in twenty four hours. Looks like a swing in a miss. Is the president on your back carrying doubles? Next year?
Will there be then a peace agreement with the Ukraine and Russia by then.
Well you're going to have to ask Russia. Ukraine is ready to make a deal. Just so you understand, this is a war that should have never started. If I were president, it would never have started.
Donald Trump has started his deportations and already an American citizen, a military veteran, has been arrested because he wasn't carrying his papers on him, and so off he went out of the country. Donald Trump is revealing himself. He told the American people that he cared about them, he cared
about the economy. The truth is, Donald Trump is what he's always been at del mcgogue and a con man, somebody who stiffed the little guy at every opportunity he ever had and every business he ever owned, with every contractor he ever dealt with. Trump loves the respectability because just a few short years ago, there was no serious banker in New York who would do business with Donald Trump.
He was a joke at JP Morgan. And now all of the most powerful people in the world are capitulant, and Trump is their king, and he'll deliver for his billionaires when he speaks. It's their agenda.
They took court cases with Apple and they supposedly won a case that most people didn't think was much of a case. They won fifteen or sixteen billion from Apple. They won billions from Google. I think they're after face Book for billions and billions. These are American companies, whether you like them or not. They're American companies and they shouldn't be doing that. And that's as far as I'm concerned. It's a form of taxation. So we have some very big complaints with the EU.
He wants the EU to know that their government regulations, well, Trump doesn't like them. He doesn't think France or Italy or England or Germany or Denmark, or any country or collection of countries in any form. If a CEO of a company in America, no matter what they're doing, is nice to him, well, the law shouldn't apply there, and I suspect those European countries are going to say no thanks. The presidency is not a Turkish bizarre, but Donald Trump
is treating it like one. He gives things away, he punishes his enemies, he benefits his friends. It's like an eight year old children's birthday, except Trump is the toxic clown who feels scalded if a bishop talks to him about mercy. Now, Donald Trump promised to fix the economy,
but Donald Trump was lying. Donald Trump has created government of the billionaire, by the billionaire, for the billionaire in five days time, where the richest and most powerful people in world history can articulate their grievances and secret revenge. He said. America is now in the business of expanding our territory.
He did, you know a lot of great things, like building the Panama Canal. The most expensive thing, relatively, the most expensive thing we've ever built is the Panama Canal.
And you're serious.
And unfortunately Jimmy Carter gave it away for one dollar. Oh no, we're gonna have to take it back. China's running the Panama Canal right now, that wasn't the deal.
Who wants to pay for that. By the way, anybody ready to lay a kid into a box with a flag over it so that we get the Panama Canal that we already have control over functionally no threat to American shipping. Donald Trump doesn't have to threaten to make wa to reduce fees in the canal if that's what his priority is for America's shipping interests. All of it,
by the way, is borne by the consumer. Explained to me, the difference between a high shipping fee being passed on to the American consumer, maybe unfairly, and Donald Trump's arbitrary tariff, which will be passed on to the American consumer every day at five o'clock, Franklin Roosevelt, without fail, in the White House, we mix cocktails and it took on the next level of excitement. When Winston Churchill was in residence.
The Churchill hated his cocktails so much he would dump them in the White House toilet, and he had his booze stashed in a corner somewhere else. But the reporters, they came in for a drink made by the isn't it and they had an off the record conversation. Donald Trump is doing a version of this. What you're seeing is coal being tossed into a furnace, social media furnace.
Nothing can destroy cold, not the weather, not a bomb, nothing. It might make it a little smaller, might make it a little different shape.
Everything you're seeing Donald Trump say in the Oval Office is cut up, clipped a thousand different ways, put out there on social media. It's a game, it's a reality show creating content. There's no response to it. There's nothing that lampoons it, not with any weight. There's no match for it. And so Donald Trump rolls along for now, but there are early signs. A federal judge called his repeal of birthright citizenship completely unconstitutional. It's not going to stand.
It's empty. He was rebuked by a bishop, not with her words, but by his reaction. It was like a keen from the omen. There are two Republican senators who have said no on the question of the most unfit man in American history ever nominated to a life and death position, any person ever thought to be put in charge of the armed forces, who is more unqualified than Pete Hexas. They said no. Are there two more? Is eighty five year old Mitch McConnell or whatever he is.
Is he really gonna vote for Pete Hexas and nobody else? Every one of these people are so scared shitless of Donald Trump. Did they would vote for this clown? And here's the truth about Pete Heexas. There are a great many rumors swirling around Washington about the omissions he made in his FBI report, And there are serious allegations of domestic violence, and there is real fear on the part
of at least one expouse for her children. And the media is figuring out in Washington what they're going to tell you about it, because they are afraid of Donald Trump, and they're afraid of being sued for telling the truth about what was sent to the committee and what was not found by the FBI reports. And I'll just leave it at there. Donald Trump, we have them for four years. He's not the son God. And the stick's gonna get old. Oh and one last thing, Donald, the rating sucked. No
one's watching now in this we share a problem. I want people to watch because the best thing for you is a disengaged voter. You want people to watch because you want to be loved and you never will be, not by a majority of Americans. You're at forty seven percent, and by this time next week it'll be in the rearview mirror behind you. You'll never see the number again. Lower and lower and lower you go. You're to be a failed president. That much is clear. Chaotic, shambolic, messy
first week filled with Nazi salutes. Everything that everyone said about how bad this would be was correct, And I'll just leave you heading into the weekend, a slow motion reprize of Elon Musk doing what The New York Times said wasn't a Nazi salute, but instead the instigation of a vigorous debate about a hand gesture at a rally. This is the warning. Don't let yourself be bullshit. You're better and smarter than that. Have a good weekend. I'm Steve Schmidt. This is the warning, and I invite you
