Speaker 1

The United States stands on this Friday, January the sixteenth, and an hour of crisis.

Speaker 2

But the leader of the Senate Democrats.

Speaker 1

Who wishes to be the majority leader, Chuck Schumer, doesn't say it. This is the warning. Does anybody believe that fifteen years from now, twenty years from now, thirty years from now, in these crowded hours, that this will be remembered as the decisive issue.

Speaker 3

In the weeks and months to come. The American people will also hear from Democrats on other areas where we're fighting to lower costs. As I mentioned, food costs, energy costs, groceries, healthcare, childcare, and so many other things Americans pay for every day. Democrats are ready to get to work.

Speaker 2

The answer is, of course not.

Speaker 1

In order to appreciate how it is that there is stoppa on the street, shooting people, abducting people, harassing people, demanding of American citizens papers please, you have to recognize that none of it would have happened but for the appeasement and fecklessness of Chuck Schumer, who.

Speaker 3

Said this, and as I said, costs, the high cost of living, the affordability crisis will be our focus throughout twenty twenty six, because that's what the American people are demanding, and we will show how the Trump administration and Republicans have made costs even worse and what Democrats will do when we get power to reduce those costs in a very significant way that will affect every single American.

Speaker 1

When he could have used his leverage, held the Democrats together and said no, why this is a moral abomination, he did not do that, and history will judge him brutally for it. But he is sinking further because in this.

Speaker 2

Moment, we are in our.

Speaker 1

Last moment for one year to be able to stop this insanity. And instead of making a demand that says we are going to ask as Democrats for the American people to stand up for their liberty and insist that these ice masks come off, that the abuses of the First Amendment, the abuses of the Fourth Amendment, the unreasonable searches, the kicking in.

Speaker 2

Of doors stop.

Speaker 1

Chuck Schumer has the power to demand the release of the Epstein files. All he has to do is look into a camera and say we will hold the line. All he has to do is say, Donald, you don't have the votes. Congress controls the funding and yet Chuck Schumer thinks the issue is affordability.

Speaker 2

Here's the deal.

Speaker 1

Yes, everybody knows everything in America is more expensive than it used to be because of Donald Trump. Let's watch the MAGA moron of the day explain the cost of chicken.

Speaker 4

The question you're asking, and it's a really important one, is while we're asking Americans to reconsider what they're eating, are we actually asking Americans, especially those who are living on the margins, are we asking them to spend more on their diet? And the answer to that is no. We've run over one thousand simulations. It can cost around three dollars a meal for a piece of chicken, a

piece of broccoli, corn, tortilla, and one other thing. And so there is a way to do this that actually will save the average American consumer money.

Speaker 1

Normal people not blame Trump for this. The polling suggests they blame him completely. The question is do they trust the Democrats to make anything more affordable?

Speaker 2

And the evidence would suggest not.

Speaker 1

The only institution in the country that is less popular then MAGA is the Schumer led Democratic Party. It is an incredible achievement. The road to victory requires Democrats to stand for things that must be stood up for. This is not a moment for dial tests, for polling.

Speaker 2

It is a.

Speaker 1

Moment to plant a stake in the ground about right and wrong. All of us are created equal and doubt by a creator, with inalienable rights, among them life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I'm sure I read that somewhere the freedom of speech is under assault, the freedom of religion is under assault. The prosperity of the American people is under assault.

Speaker 2

By a titanic.

Speaker 1

Crook who sits in the White House running wild. And yet Chuck Schumer does not even have the guts to do a daily news conference to illuminate the wrongs. Feckless does not begin to describe it, and it is not new. Here is what Winston Churchill said, And this is a photograph of Neville Chamberlain with Hitler, and he came back and he said, we shall have peace in our time.

Speaker 2

His appeasements and.

Speaker 1

Naivete before it was overkilled one one hundred million people around the world. Chuck Schumer is setting in motion through this foolishness, horror in our country, in our world because he won't take a stand. Here is Senator Chris van Holland from Maryland.

Speaker 5

This is off on so many levels. First, we have the unnecessary shooting death of a thirty seven year old mom, unjustified, and then we have the Trump administration from the Secretary of Homeland Security Christinome to the President of the United States lying about it, Christinome saying this was an act of domestic terrorism, calling this thirty seven year old mom essentially a terrorist.

Speaker 1

Here is Senator Alissa Slockin from Michigan.

Speaker 6

To be clear, this is the President's playbook. Truth doesn't matter, facts don't matter, and anyone who disagrees with him becomes an enemy, and he then weaponizes the federal government against them. It's legal intimidation and physical intimidation meant to get you to shut up. He's used it with our universities, our corporations, our legal community, and with politicians falsely believe that doing

his bidding and staying quiet will keep them safe. No, I'm not going to do that because this president does not represent the views of a majority of Americans. Even if you voted for him, I do not believe that his vision of America is shared by a majority of Americans. Because this country is worth fighting for. Our freedom of

speech is worth fighting for. Our values, our core values are worth fighting for, and right now, speaking out against the abuse of power is the most patriotic thing we can do.

Speaker 1

They are right and he is wrong, and the life of the American Republic hangs in the balance. My friends, we can defeat MAGA, but we may not be able to escape the appeasement of Hakim Jeffries and Chuck Schumer, the feckless boys of Brooklyn. We have become their hostages. And for some reason, Democrats in the Senate do not have the integrity, the guts, the character to get into a room, talk honestly with each other about what is happening,

and do something about it. Let me close today with these words of warning from Governor Tim Wallas on the front line of a battle for freedom. They should matter a great deal to every American because first they came from Minnesota.

Speaker 2

But Minnesota will not be lost.

Speaker 7

My fellow Minnesotans, what's happening in Minnesota right now defies belief. News reports simply don't do justice to the level of chaos and disruption and trauma. The federal government is raining down upon our communities. Two to three thousand armed agents

of the federal government have been deployed to Minnesota. Armed, masked, undertrained ice agents are going door to door ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color life of They're pulling over people indiscriminately, including US citizens, and demanding to see their papers, and at grocery stores, at bus stops,

even at our schools. They're breaking windows, dragging pregnant women down the street, just playing grabbing Minnesotans and shoving them into unmarked vans, kidnapping innocent people with no warning and no due process. Let's be very very clear, this long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. Instead it's a campaign of organized brutality against the people of Minnesota by our own federal government.

Speaker 1

And this is the warning. I'm Steve Schmidt. This is the warning. I invite you to join this community where I promise to be honest, blunt, and direct about what is happening in this country. America is in crisis. Follow and subscribe to this channel and on substack.

Speaker 2

Thank you.
