Episode description

After White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt commented on France wanting the Statue of Liberty back, it was clear she had no understanding of the history between our two countries. It is March the eighteenth. This is the warning. Carolyn Levitt is twenty seven years old. She is a child and a grown up job. Now, it used to be that there were people, men and women, including some young women like D. D. Myers, who stood behind that podium and did their very best to tell the American people what was happening and to communicate to the world from the podium what the President of the United States of America was thinking. Serious people spoke from behind that podium.

Serious people sat in the room and asked questions of the people behind that podium, and the American people took it all in. Now, let's watch Carolyn Levitt, literally again a child, deliver a child's answer to a criticism by an anonymous French politician who was described as a member of the European Parliament dollars to donate. Carolyn Levitt couldn't tell you anything about the European Parliament. I bet if she saw the initials next to persons name that said

me ep, she'd be clueless. Now let's watch Carolyn Levitt talk about branch.

Speaker 2

There is now a member of the European Parliament from France who does not think the US represents the values of the Statue of Liberty anymore. They want the Statue of Liberty back. So is President Trump going to send the Statue of Liberty back?

Speaker 3

It's to France, absolutely not. And my advice to that unnamed low level French politician would be to remind them that it's only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now, So they should be very grateful to our grade country.

Speaker 1

What an embarrassment for Saint Antelm's College in New Hampshire and it's political institute, truly and embarrassment. This is a spokesperson for the President of the United States, and she said that with such incredible certitude and snark. Yeah, you better thank us, better thank us France, or you'd be speaking German a child.

Speaker 3

It's only because of the United States of America that the French are not speaking German right now.

Speaker 1

Now, I could tell her about the bluff above Covil Soma, where every day the French hand wash those white graves and stars of David, perfectly aligned in formation in perpetuity, forever facing home back across the ocean, that they did not come home from their families chose that they lie in French soil. Carolyn Levitt, though married to a sixty year old real estate developer, doesn't have a grasp on ancient history. Now if she did, she would know this

name Lafayette. She would wonder why the square out the window in the White House is named Lafayette. Perhaps she would wonder why the Marquis de Lafayette, Gilbert Montier, named his son George Washington Lafayette. Maybe she would be curious to know why two hundred years ago, this very year, Lafayette was in America on a farewell tour, visiting every state of the growing Union. To rapturous applause and cheer, he sailed home on the USS Brandywine under American guns.

The ship was rechristened in his honor by John Quincy Adams. It was named after the New Jersey Battle where Lafayette bled for America. You see, Carolyn Levitt doesn't seem to understand that French officers trained the Continental Army, that French guns were carried by America's Continental armies, who wore French made uniforms, and who were protected by French guns on the ships outside the harbor in York Town that brought

us victory in the Revolution. Carolyn Levitt doesn't understand anything about the history of this country, its values, its ideals. She is a shill and a little child, playing make believe behind a blue podium for a rancid man. What she doesn't comprehend is that the Statue of Liberty is more than a beacon to the immigrant. It is a mirror on America's soul, and that mirror gets cloudy, It distorts from time to time what we see looking back.

The Statue of Liberty is a monument to national greatness, given as a gift by America's first friend, that says, send me You're tired, you are poor, your wretched refuse yearning to be free. They came past the statue, and the American soldier and sailor, and airmen and marine, the nurses. They sailed past it as an army of liberation on their way to free people. The Statue of Liberty is a marker of who we are, our values, what we became.

It is a reminder of the seventy million Americans that breathed their first breath on foreign shores and contributed mightily. The Irish, the Polish, the Italians, the South Americans, all of the people of the world coming to this country

yearning to be free. Half of all Americans who have ever lived alive right now, three hundred and fifty million people, the descendants of those people who had an idea about a country they had never seen, never even seen a video of, but was built on an idea about human dignity, human freedom, and prosperity. And so they came, and they came, and they came, and they built the mightiest republic in the history of the world, where all of the peoples

of the world together became one people eploribus unim. They became the American people. We fed more people, cured more people, liberated more people than all of the nations put together from the beginning of time. And so in New York Harver there sits a statue to freedom, and the statue never moves. But it is the sad case that from time to time the American people turned their backs on Lady Liberty. And now it is such a tragic time.

Behold this whack job on Fox News Stephen Miller, who's asked a simple question, what evidence do you have that these men being humiliated and tortured. Are the criminals you say they are?

Speaker 4

Can you prove that these individuals were linked with Trende Aragua and that Trende Aragua is part of a Maduro operations dement. So, first of all, Anjrew Weisman is an absolute moron. He is a moron, and he is a fool, and he's a degenerate. Andrew Weisman has devoted his career to putting innocent Americans in jail, taking away their civil liberties. He was involved in the Muller coup against a democratically elected President, Donald J.

Speaker 1

Trump.

Speaker 4

Weisman should never be on TV anywhere. He should hang his shit head in eternal shame for what he's done to this country.

Speaker 1

Here's the deal, Stephen, I don't trust you, and I don't trust Carolyn Levin, and I speak for many tens of millions of us when I say this, we don't try trust any of you. You will say that you use power to keep us safe, but I think you use power for the sake of abusing it, and that makes us unsafe. This is the warning, and I'm Steve Schmidt. This is the warning. I invite you to join this community where I promise to be honest, blunt, and direct

about what is happening in this country. America is in crisis. Follow and subscribe to this channel and on substack. Thank you,
