Speaker 1

It's January sixth, twenty twenty five, and incredibly, two weeks from today, Donald Trump will be inaugurated. Despite what he did on this day four years ago. This is the warning. On that day, Donald Trump incited an insurrection. He sent a mob a hoard to the United States Capital. They shit on the floors, they urinated on the floors, They did millions of dollars of damage. They assaulted hundreds of police officers. But this was no mere riot. It had

a political intent. These people were fed alive, they were told that the election was stolen. They were manipulated by some of the biggest media companies in the world him by their own stupidity. They were lied to by Donald Trump and Lindsey Graham and Josh Howley and Ted Cruz and most of the MAGA members of Congress. They were sent up there. And when they were the politicians who incited that, people like Josh Holly, people like Ted Cruz, they ran for their lives and they hid in closets.

And now a lot of these January sixth criminals are in prison, and soon Donald Trump will take office. He will pardon every one of them, and no doubt he will hang presidential medals of Freedom around their neck. So as the sun rises this morning over Lost Vegas and the desert behind me, it is clear in America that a new era is dawning. It is the era of

the billionaire, but not just any billionaire. People that have more money than any human beings have ever had the problem with talking about how much money Elon must have and how powerful that makes him is impossible because most people can't conceive of what a billion is. And I'm going to try to help you. If I said, hey, Elon, I'm going to meet you in a million seconds, we'd be hanging out in twelve days. I'd much prefer to hear from Elon Musk again in a billion seconds. That's

thirty three years from now. I'm going to explain the difference between a billion and a trillion. Elon musk net worth has increased from two hundred and fifty billion to four hundred billion dollars since Trump was elected. It is almost certain he'll be the world's first trillionaire. And here's the difference between a billion and a trillion. If I said to Elon, I'd like to see you again in a trillion seconds, that's thirty three thousand years from now.

That's the difference between a billion and a trillion, twelve days and thirty three years, the difference between a million and a billion. That's why this cartoon matters so much. Bob Iger, the chairman of the Walt Disney Company, imposed the settlement of George Stefanopholis's comment, which was entirely accurate, that Donald Trump is an adjudicated rapist. Is a capitulation

born from world cowardice. Because for Biger, the Walt Disney Company is more important than his country, and the same for Jeff and the Lady Bezos or Sanchez Nay Bezos. These people are worth over a hundred billion dollars, and he doesn't have the guts and the courage to run the Washington Post. And now the best journalists from that paper are fleeing it like the first class passengers being

lowered in half filled lifeboats from Titanic. They're being rowed over to the Atlantic, to the Wall Street Journal and other reputable publications. The full panic, the full flea hasn't started yet, but when it does, your everyday reporter, your everyday editor, there will not be enough lifeboats. Just the cold sea below, while Bezos until Lady Sanchez, some are in the south to France, no doubt, setting a table for all of the Capitulan who can regale each other

with stories of their courage and their wisdom. This cartoon that was killed at the Washington Posts speaks to trillion words. The American people will not stand for this over the long run. Let me put on the screen the vote totals. That's it, not a lot of people. If you voted for Kamala Harris, you do not stand alone. Though. Political power has been stripped from all of our hands because of the incompetence, not of Donald Trump, but of his

political opposition. Donald Trump is taking power because of the greed, selfishness for more power, more time by Joe Biden and his White House deaths, because of the greatest lie ever told in the twenty first century by an American president that I'm okay for four more years. It was Biden's life, not Trump's lie, that bought back Trump to the White House. We are fourteen days from now in front of Joe Biden,

whose only legacy is Donald Trump. Trump will shock the world with an inaugural address that shakes the nation that frightens, it parrifies millions. The most important thing to understand in that moment that those of us who have opposed this do not have to live in fear, because we are Americans with rights that cannot be taken away with bluster. But those rights require courage to be asserted. And the courage will not be found at the top. It will

not be found amongst the billionaires. It will be found where it has always been found in America, which is among the common people, and the common regular, ordinary American has been lied to. They have been deceived by America's powerful elites. It's politicians, it's academics, it's business leaders who have cooperized them. And they have rebelled, which is the American way. And they have rebelled by sending to Washington an arsonists to burn it down. What they hope he

burns down is the corruption of the ruling class. But they are a victims of a lie. Donald Trump is the ruling class. Donald Trump is the greatest taker there has ever been, a con man of unparalleled ability, a demagogue of world class stature, who has fed to the American people the oldest and easiest lie there is. You can feel better about your lives by looking down on someone else. It's an empty calorie. It provides no nourishment.

And the American people, in their righteous indignation and in their wisdom, they will see this clearly in time and when Trump overreaches and things fall apart, it is the obligation of the next generation of Democrats to be ready to seize the moment, not defend Joe Biden's legacy or his broken promise or the pardon of his son. It will be time to take that rock out of the rucksack and throw it down the hill. Joe Biden made his bed and forced all of us to lie in

it for four long years. What happened in the election of twenty twenty four must never happen again. My friend James Carville is wrong. This election was not about the economy. It was about honesty. Joe Biden went out and set a bad economy was the best that had ever been and called it Bidenomics over and over again. The American people tried to tell the elite of the Democratic Party in Washington, d C. They did not want a rematch between Biden and Trump, and they signaled all along if

the Democratic puhbas forced one on them. They would pick Trump, and they did. They rebelled against the self interest of the party that promised it was the morally superior and better party. Americans hate sanctimony, they hate hypocrisy, and man, did Theay lower the boom and punish Democrats. The American people in an election where honesty was front and soud chose the most prolific liar over Joe Biden on that question. And until Democrats grapple with that and realize that and

can truly appreciate it, they are electorally doomed. The Democratic Party will come back to power in America. But the answer to trump Ism is today what it has always been, which is that something better must be offered, and it wasn't. And so now two weeks from today it will begin, and here there will be no bowing. This is the warning. I'm Steve Schmidt. This is the warning, and I invite you to join.
