Recently, I appeared on a podcast, one of the largest in the country. It's called PbD. One of the things that I said on the podcast that seemed incomprehensible was the idea that the attack on January sixth, carried out by Americans aimed directly at the Constitution of the United States of America with regard to its existential nature, was a much more dangerous attack than the awful, murderous attacks that killed almost three thousand of our fellow citizens on
September eleventh. Now I said something else. Secretary Hillary Clinton would have been an effective president and we never would have arrived at this desperate hour in the country. Again, this just seemed incomprehensible to my MAGA friends. What would America look like with a Hillary Clinton as a president, because she probably would have been a tutan president. What would America look like with Hillary Clinton as a president would have looked like It would have looked like what
America looked like before Donald Trump was president. We would have had a moderate democratic president, internationalist that believed in American military power, probably more interventionist than where the country is, where the party is, where the where the Republican Party is we would not have left Afghanistan in the chaotic manner that we would have left. You would not have had the complete societal chaos and lying, and you wouldn't have had a president who lied to the American people
thirty five thousand times. You're seeing. Hillary Clinton hasn't light. Hillary Clinton has lied, but she doesn't lie like Donald Trump lies. Now, Secretary Clinton is a serious, sober, historic figure in this country, and she will be remembered as such. The fact that she narrowly lost the presidency to the most unworthy man to ever capture the office, who has done such profound damage to our country is a national tragedy.
It always will be. Now, let's watch what Secretary Clinton said to the person I view as the pre eminent journalist of this era.
Christian amanpor very strong partisans in both parties in the past, and we had very bitter battles over all kinds of things, gun control and climate change and the economy and taxes. But there wasn't this little tale of extremism waving, you know, wagging the dog of the Republican Party as it is today. And sadly, so many of those extremists, those mega extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure. He's only in it for himself.
He's now defending himself in civil actions and criminal actions. And when do they break with him? You know, because at some point, you know, maybe there needs to be a formal deprogramming of the cult members. But something needs to happen, and how do you.
Now, Let's understand and something. What Secretary Clinton said was not to be taken literally, not to be taken seriously. She is not proposing the opening of concentration camps or re education camps where people who support Donald Trump will be deprogrammed. But understand this, It's exactly how it will be covered. It's how it will be covered on the PbD podcast. It's how it will be covered on Steve Bannon's podcast and thousands of other talk radio right wing podcasts,
newsletters and so forth. Before long, and by before long, I mean within a week, it will become doctrine that Hillary Clinton wants to imprison magas supporters brainwash them in the name of deprogramming. A thousand new conspiracies will be born and the insanity will spread. Now, what Secretary Clinton said is precisely correct. People have succumbed out of a mix of fear, cynicism, sense of opportunity, for whatever reason,
to a cult of personality. And it started on our one of Trump's presidency, when his spokesperson walked out and told the nation that something that was clearly not true by plain evidence of eyesight recorded reality was in fact not so. He stood for the proposition that Donald Trump would now tell you what was true. What was true was no longer what you saw with your own eyes eyes or read with them, or comprehended or intuited. The world was made easy, stripped of all complexity. What was
true was what Trump said was true. And Secretary Clinton is right. Because there is silence to the growing danger from one of America's two political parties. There is a lack of understanding that Donald Trump means it. Everything he says should be taken literally and seriously. He is threatening to kill, He is baiting assassination. He is endangering the
lives of men like General Millie. His plans to shut down media are real, as are his desire to inflict mortial military violence on a Marria consitizens protesting exercising their First Amendment rights. Understand this. If he could, Donald Trump would have ordered the military to open fire on black Americans in front of the White House. Think about it. He tried to give the order, and next time he might succeed. All of this is real, All of it
is happening. There was a deprogramming of sort after the Second World War in Germany because that society was obliterated in Nazism. It was thought troubled to dust. When this swastika exploded on top of the Reichstag, people thought it
was over. The swastika was torn down, but the idea remained an ember alive under the rubble, the idea that the state is more important than human dignity, that the power of a leader used with the state is the meaning of life for the citizens of that state yield to a leader as their pawns, no longer free, no longer having liberty. When this happens, and it has happened over and over again throughout history, disaster ensues. That's what
Hillary Clinton is talking about. Watch your words be twisted
into the latest conspiracy, and understand this. When you can take every truth and make it into something sinister, we stand at the edge of an abyss because we've lost sight of what's real and what's not, and the inability to communicate in that space is of fundamental importance at a moment when we are in an information war where the greatest idea in all of human history is under threat, the idea that we're all created, equally, endowed by a
creator beyond the realm of a politician, with inalienable rights, life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Jim Jordan is a constitutional vandal who is unique amongst all of the members of the House of Representatives in that he had advanced warning about what Trump was playing. He knew full well that Trump was at the top of a conspiracy to try
to disrupt the peaceful transition of power. On January sixth, Jim Jordan not only covered up a sexual assault scandal, an abuse scandal at the University of Ohio where he was entrusted with young men by their parents. Jim Jordan was entrusted by his constituents with preserving, protecting, defending the Constitution of the United States against all enemies far and in domestic, and he utterly betrayed that oath. He betrayed it for power's sake and to support or want to
be autocrat. That autocrat is Donald Trump. What Donald Trump wants is chaos, and Jim Jordan is an agent of chaos. Trump is running as a classic fascist strong man. His platform in the end will be to stop the chaos, much of it created by him. The idea that there would be a debate for Speaker of the House that is moderated on Fox News by Brett Bher shows how completely shattered and broken the American government and American politics is at this moment. Fox News is one of the
most pernicious forces in American life. Truly, it is an industrial grade lie factory that has poisoned the American people, poison civic discourse. It is a giant American grift on a national scale. Rupert Murdoch has built something that has the power to distort reality. It has upended the concept of truth in the United States to such a degree tens of millions of citizens cannot tell up down, down from up, right, from left, and left from right. They
have opted out of reality. They have surrendered their agency to want to be autocrat. They are stoked, incited, and divided by a type of television that spreads fear and do and anxiety as the wellspring of its billions of
dollars in profits. It has so thoroughly and deeply corrupted the news that on the election night of twenty twenty, Brett Behar, who is the anchor whose job ostensibly is to report facts to the American people, somebody who is recognized to be in good standing by news organizations like The Washington Post, The New York Times, a b C News, CBS News, ANDBC News because they all share reporting responsibilities through White House Pool coverage, this person was afraid to
tell his audience who won the election. This indecision, this cowardous in the face of facts, this business decision to handmade and a lie, has done so much damage to this country it's almost impossible to articulate. And that started with the political reaction amongst Fox News anchors. Any person out there who's listening, who has been to the doctor, has been through an emergency room, has had a kid have to go to the doctor, go through the emergency room,
knows how completely absolutely broken health insurance is. It's not understandable. Premiums are increased, saying deductibles are getting larger and claims denials are more common than ever and so this headache of health insurance is exactly why you're seeing new companies, new ideas that are aimed at disrupting what's so complicated by making it simple. And that's what crowd health is and that's why it was created. It's not health insurance, but it's a better way to pay for health care
through crowdfunding. So this is a great disruption of something that's complicated and broken for average people. It is dark, it is insidious, it is growing. If Fox News is part of it, What this is is a reality show aimed at fascist America, who will respond with some measure of rage en titulation, and the tea leaves will be discerned about which of these candidates is the best avatar for the extremism that is loose in the Republican Party, that threatens the oldest constitutional republic in the world, that threatens the rule of law, that threatens pluralism,
that threatens women's bodily autonomy, that threatens the agency of free people to worship as they please, to speak as they please, and to assemble as they please. The threat at hand is a real one, and like all autocratic threats,
it is stewed in a broth of corruption. Nobody need look further than the commercial breaks at Fox News to understand the depth of the scam of the Grift, whether it's Mike Huckabee grown rich from selling nonsense products like relaxium to help you sleep, or to the scammed who are being filmed it changed their life, or his children's books about Donald Trump, or Michelle Bachmann's scam about feeding
Holocaust survivors in Russia. The Grift and the Poison, and the Division and the insanity in the conspiracies and the race baiting and the malice never ever stop, either in the House, Republican Conference or at Fox News, who are both tips of the autocratic spear coming closer to tearing down what was built more than two centuries ago. This is what Donald Trump tried to tear down. This is what Kevin McCarthy helped him try to tear down. This is what Fox News tried to help him tear down.
This is what the Republican Conference tried to tear down. For power.
It is it will always rank amongst some of the most Unamerican actions, treacherous, deceitful, horrendous degradations of duty, responsibility, and obligation to the United States in the practice of basic citizenship. Bos News the Live Factory controls as much as Donald Trump does, the levers of power inside the Republican Party. It is an unholy alliance that has brought
chaos to the United States. The more chaos, the more danger because in the end, and life's not fair, but it works like this in politics, the agents of chaos can often be rewarded as the agents who pledge.
To stop the chaos. This is out of page one in the Autocrat's manual. The more chaos there is, the more danger there is, the better for Trump. Because Donald Trump's message is very simple. I alone can stop the chaos, and nobody wants chaos in America, and many millions will vote for the false prophet if the choice comes between more chaos in defense of an abstract concept in this day and age like democracy or law and order, even if it comes under the heel of a jack boot worn by a con man.
