David Malki ! is the creator of Wondermark.  Wondermark is created from 19th century woodcuts and engravings, scanned from Malki's personal collection of old books, and also from volumes in the Los Angeles Central Library and the UCLA Rare Books Collection. In addition to making these comics, he also work on book design and special projects for TopatoCo, (the world's most interesting artist-direct merchandise website). In the past, he's been a professional movie trailer editor, a volunteer search & rescue pilot, and a freelance firearm specialist for film & television. Sometimes all at the same time!
