Episode description

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is significant because it helps you relate to people. It is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to relieve stress, communicate effectively, empathize with others, overcome challenges and defuse conflict. EQ is more important than IQ because we interact with people more on a social level than intellectual.

Here are five ways to improve your EQ:

  1. Responding instead of reacting to conflict
  2. Empathize with others
  3. Utilize active listening skills
  4. Practice self-awareness
  5. Be motivated!
