Students are the center of education, and their voice spoken in their own words provides input for lesson design and feedback to inform my teaching. It takes a lot of trust to build relationships and to tell life stories that strengthen the empathy muscle.

This episode was recorded after my son Daniel and I collaborated on a script in a Google Doc. He was in one city while I was an hour-and-a-half away in a hotel. We used iPhones without an external microphone. (September 11, 2020)
