¶ Guess the Mystery Storyteller Challenge
Welcome to the Upside Down Story. With most stories, the storyteller introduces themselves at the beginning of the tale. But here at the Upside Down Story, we turn everything flipsy-flopsy, upside-downsy. You, and especially our superfans Perpetua, Dominic, and Philomena, aren't going to know who is telling you this story until the very end. Unless you guess sooner, that is.
Today you're going to hear a wonderful tale with lots of little hints, and your job is to guess who I am by the end of the story. A mystery narrator? What could be more fun? At the beginning of every Upside Down Story episode... you will get one hint to start with. Today's hint is that the storyteller is a famous character. That means you're going to be guessing what type of fictional being I am. Am I Yoshi from Super Mario Bros?
Fluttershy from My Little Pony, or Aunt Trixie from Bluey. Let's start today's story and see how quickly you can guess who the upside-down storyteller is.
¶ Solving the Sonic the Hedgehog Mystery
Hey there, I'm blue, but that doesn't mean I'm down in the dumps. Quite the contrary. I'm actually the color blue all over my body. Except for my face. It's just a patch of brown on my belly and inside my ears. Oh, and of course, my signature red shoes. Originally, my creators wanted to call me... Project Needlemouse. But of course, that's ridiculous. I am certainly not a mouse, and I'm definitely a mega Sega star.
Sorry for the commotion, but I'm always, always on the move. You see, I have to collect rings. They're my life force. Literally. If I'm touched by an enemy or get injured by something in my environment, like lava or spikes, then kaboom! Just like that, all of my rings are gone. They literally explode. from my body, and I have to instantly start building up my supply again. The good news is that whenever I manage to collect 100 rings, like today, I gain an extra life. Haha, yeah!
I have a feeling I'm going to need that extra life today because I'm going head-to-head with some seriously dangerous enemies. From Chaos and the Nocturnus Clan to Shadow the Hedgehog and, of course, my nemesis, the Mad Scientist. Dr. Eggman. But even though I have some real challenges ahead, I know that I'll come out on top because I'm the fastest. And if you don't believe me, then hang on because I've got a need for speed in three...
Two, one, go time! It may be go time for the mystery narrator. Of course, Amy Rose has been trying to catch me for as long as I can remember. Amy is a pink all over and sort of my girlfriend. I guess. I really like Amy. She's got a ton of energy and is a tomboy who enjoys a lot of the same things I do. But the problem is that I never really slow down long enough to have a proper relationship. What can I say? Except let's...
Speed, kid! Of course, as a huge star, I do have some appearances that require slowing down just long enough for people to see me. For example, I appeared in the Disney film Wreck-It Ralph. I've been in loads of video games, my own films, comic books, and currently have a TV show on Netflix. Oh, and I was the first gaming icon to have a balloon in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. That was a big deal.
Oh, man, I can't stand being bored. I love chili dogs and cola. And despite my remarkable athleticism and the fact that the normal members of my animal species are able to swim. I can't. No summer dips for me, thank you very much. Now please stand back and mind my six spikes because it's time for me to go while you guess who I am.
